So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Higurashi: Eye Opening Chapter 20
This chapter is concurrent to Cotton Drifting chapter 11 and gives us those events from Shion's perspective.
Shion was definitely shaken by how Satoko refused to accept that Satoshi was gone despite all the evidence. Shion had given up believing and killed Satoko out of that despair.
And now she's looking to see if Keiichi and Rena also are just going to accept the evidence of what's happened and take the easy and despairing route of accepting their friend is a murderer, or if they'll take the difficult path of refusing to believe it.
She might also just want to be told she's not Mion Sonozaki. She wanted to be Mion because Mion had the power to save Satoshi. But she lost in, and in the process of trying to take it back, she lost "Shion" and was left with Mion Sonozaki.
The moment she decided to kill Keiichi was when he called Mion "Shion". In her mind, Shion probably thought that Mion had just stolen "Shion" from her just like she "stole" "Mion" when they were little.
And her little sister now has the benefits that come with the name: Innocence and someone who loves you.
This is a game over screen I'd expect to see in a Super Nintendo game.
At least Shion is finally admitting that she's been doing everything for her own satisfaction rather than using Satoshi as an excuse.
In Cotton Drifting, Shion's laughter as Keiichi called her a demon possessing her comes across as her mocking him for clinging to irrational statements to not despair.
But here, it turns out Shion was laughing because Keiichi is such a better person than she expected. She was expecting that if Keiichi caught on, he'd call her out as Shion. But instead, he refused to believe either of them could be a murderer.
Although really, Keiichi never considered the possibility that Shion was pretending to be Mion. And as a quick reminder of Keiichi's perspective in Cotton Drifting, when Shion told him about the doll, Keiichi remembered how he got the sisters mixed up when he apologized over it.. So the idea that he could have them mixed up again got offered to his mind and he never took it.
When she apologized for defiling Mion, was Shion maybe talking about "Mion"? At this point, "Mion" is so broken and tarnished that she can never be used again.
Shion took "Mion" by force and broke "Mion" in the process. Now she's forcing her sister to take it back and give her "Shion". She's the big sister so she gets to have the good identity.
And now the BIGGEST reveal to the mystery as a whole. The key that the first answer arc offers to uncovering the truth: The Sonozaki Family has NOTHING to do with the curse.
At the beginning of Shion's revenge play, she captured Mion and Oryou but accidentally killed Oryou in the process. She was the person who knew everything and everyone else just followed along, believing she was in control of everything.
And the recurring element throughout all this was no one could give any definite answers and only offered their best guesses.
But no one ever considered that not even Oryou knew what was happening.
The murders are not some conspiracy within the village by the villagers. Someone or something else is pulling the strings and tricking the village into protecting them. They are pretending to be part of the village while preying on them.
And Shion realized the horrible irony that in her efforts to avoid being the victim of the fifth year's curse and to uncover the people behind it, she just brought the curse on the village for the fifth year in a row.
And she killed Mion for telling her this. Now she's robbed of even feeling like she achieved anything.
And she told Mion to apologize to Satoshi when she sees him. To the end, she still blames Mion for everything.
