Absolutely gorgeous place we visited a few months back. We were told they serve the best cocktails in Brighton, but as we don't really drink, we had food and dessert instead. Throwback Monday :D Fantasia Film Festival

Hello headbangers and other friends! :D

Aktuell findet in Montréal ein ganz besonderes Film Festival statt, die Fantasia! Da wir letztes Jahr verdammt viel Spaß mit einigen unserer besten Freunde auf der Fantasia 2017 hatten dachten wir, dass wir euch kurz darüber erzählen sollten.

Auf der Fantasia haben jedes Jahr viele Filmproduktionen die Möglichkeit einmal auf der ganz großen Leinwand stehen zu dürfen. So werden täglich sehr viele Filme in den Räumlichkeiten der Concordia University gezeigt. Viele der Filme sind Premieren und kommen aus eher kleineren Produktionen. Vor allem neues Filmmaterial aus Asien mit viel “Splatter&Gore” hat bei der Fantasia ihren Stammplatz. :D Dieses Filmfestival hat zudem sein ganz eigenes Flair. Eigenheiten, wie das gemeinsame Miauen wenn der Kinosaal dunkel wird oder Klatschen wenn ein Bösewicht stirbt, machen einen Besuch wirklich einmalig.

Wir waren damals bei insgesamt 4 Filmen und hatten ohne Ende Spaß! Danke vor allem an Pat, der uns quasi mit der Idee auf das Festival zu gehen angefixt hat. :D Auch an die anderen ein riesen Dankeschön für die geile Zeit! Vielleicht klappt es ja doch irgendwann noch einmal!

Those of you that have been following me since the start, probably remember I have a thing for Alice in Wonderland aesthetic ♠️. I was thrilled to discover the REAL Alice's Shop in Oxford a few years ago thanks to @declandorandrummer . "Alice's Shop is a shop at 83 St Aldate's, Oxford, England. With 82 St Aldate's next door it is part of a stone-built 15th-century house that was remodelled in the 17th century. It is now a gift shop selling gifts, souvenirs and memorabilia, all based on Alice". Unsurprisingly, the shop is run by Japanese girls which makes me smile, as Japan also has a thing for Alice. This time I bought a new coaster for my desk and a keychain which I transformed into a phone strap! (swipe for pic) I know phone straps are not as popular as in the 00s but I still like my mobile full of accessories and plushies 😅. I drill holes in my flipcases in cases when they come without🤣. Because kawaii is important. Kawaii is an anti-depressant 🎀. Restocked some Italian favourites! I go absolutely crazy for pistacchio, hazelnut, almonds and basically all nuts and dried fruit (perhaps I was a squirrel in a previous life 🐿). This is luxury chocolate from @venchi1878 (they go for 1.40€ a piece, but they're handcrafted with high-end ingredients, without chemical nasties that are the norm for chocolate worldwide). Italians are fussy about food, so I always love to support Italian products. I always go for as natural and unprocessed food as possible, lots of raw and handmade, or small company products. Greek products follow the same mentality as well. I also restocked caffe pistacchio pods from @espressodolcevita , which is a great treat for once in a while, although it does contain glucose syrup which is normally a big nope for me. I'd love it if they did completely unsweetened stuff. This is my favourite Japanese place outside of Japan☆. @tokyo.diner.london is located in London's Chinatown and it offers a proper Japanese diner experience. You get free tea on arrival, all-Japanese staff and their katsu curry is epic 🍛. The food has a homemade feel to it, which makes the experience extra special to me. By the way, the side dish is tsukemen (Japanese pickles), which I love very much 😊. And yes, this is @zsamofficial , deep into the corporate life 😅. During our festive walk we came across Burlington Arcade that hosted a James Bond installation to celebrate the latest film. Quite impressive, with various shops featuring movie artifacts and fashion worn in the movies, as well as relevant items throughout the whole installation. We were quick and sloppy to avoid people, so I missed taking a photo of the entrance (so I borrowed an official photo instead 💦- that's the first pic of this post, the rest are mine-).
