Sara’s story showed so many of the ways she’s been ‘trained’ for the death game. Her dad telling her she can’t hold back because it’s ‘rude’ so she goes all out. She hurt Ryoko, a dear friend because of her dads insistence. She hates the idea of putting blame on him even when he keeps her from seeing her friends because he wants to monopolize her time. She learns to keep how she feels down because she has to be both unflinching from challenges, and a proper girl who knows what to say at the right time. We can even see Kai not wanting to ‘talk back’ to Mr Chidouin, because even if he’s going too far, it’s not like he’ll take kindly to you telling him to back down. It’s soooooooo.
