We should have an Elden Ring sitcom, Golden Girls version, called Golden Guys featuring the Elden Peepaws
Morgott gives me seriously Dorothy vibe
An example:
Morgott: If I'd had the money,I could've been living in a castle by the sea instead of with-
Morgott: I'd better not say anything til I've had my morning coffee *sips coffee*
Morgott: A slut and a moron!
Mohg and Godrick: w(°o°)w
Morgott: I'm sorry it must be decaf

hi yes please i desperately want to know your elden ring faves?? (and why? or also who you dislike 👀)
Well, I am a very well documented Rogier-Enjoyer, for starters. I’m probably the bane of the entire tag at this point, with all the posts I’ve made on him lol. He’s just a great character, and his set description is really the gut punch with him. 10/10
But Malenia… I… I mean. Come on. Women. I just. She. You know. W—
Tumblr media
I also like Nepheli, but I don’t have much to say on her. Because again, buff women. Head empty, no thoughts. (At the moment :3)
And Boggart, my beloved. He’s another fav of mine for sure. The man just wants to grill, what’s not to love about that.
As for dislikes? I dunno. Dungeater. I guess that’s an obvious one though.
I never much cared for Mohg, but I also never did his faction stuff. I gather he’s probably more sympathetic than he seems at first, so I don’t really dislike him that much.
Though… now I’ve just remembered that actually, there is a character that I really don’t much care for. And yeah, I suppose I do hate him, now that I think about it.
SELUVIS, THAT GROSS, SLIMY, CONDESCENDING FREAK.
I’d hunt him for sport, if I could. Also, here’s some cut dialogue from him, with some very pleasing visuals at the end:
Which I guess leads me to a final fav: Blaidd. I just think he’s neat. Some of his lines have a sort of humor The Lands Between really feels like it needs sometimes. If I wasn't already writing a “Rogier lives” fic, I’d probably be writing a “Blaidd lives” fic.

refs i have so far for the elden ring au
morgott's name is literally just because i was stuck between gray or stone as his prefix. mohg's came to me easily though, n they both add contrast w his parents [marika's name in the au is sunflare/star and godfrey is silver/silvermane]
i plan on making more refs [ranni is the only one I have sketched out atm] but ill end up posting more in the future! [I'll also end up building a height chart at some point]

Let me solo her.
Build details:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Regalia of Eochaid is my favorite weapon in this game. I love the simplicity of the straight sword moveset, especially one-handed, and its weapon skill is one of Elden Ring’s most satisfying finishers. Uncharged, it’s a phenomenal mix-up and “get off me” move, but fully charged, it turns into a fucking nuclear meatgrinder. Additionally, the fact that its damage is split between physical and magic damage makes it feel more versatile than a standard straight sword. For this character, the unarmored warrior Kona, I beelined for the sword right away and fought the Grave Warden Duelist while tremendously underleveled to earn this prize, which carried me throughout the entire game.
What I learned over time is that the trick with the Regalia of Eochaid's corkscrew is that if you pick your opportunities perfectly for fully charged corkscrews, you can essentially stunlock enemies that go flying from the final hit. This is consistently useful throughout the game against armored knights especially, but is very high risk and high reward, since you’re a sitting duck both while charging and executing the move (especially in group fights, especially since Kona doesn’t wear armor). Still, this was vital to my strategy here of all but skipping Malenia's second phase. I did basically the same thing a while ago when I fought Mohg, but instead of immobilizing him in a stunlock like I did to Malenia, she's lightweight enough to get immobilized by knockback.
I achieved massive damage against Malenia through a combination of talismans, Physick, and frostbite.
The Blue Dancer Charm boosts physical attack power inversely proportional to your equipment load; with this current load-out it’s providing approximately a 6% boost.
The Rotten Winged Sword Insignia boosts your attack power for a brief period so long as you keep landing successive attacks, increasingly powering you up by 6%, 8%, and ultimately 13%; the corkscrew deals so many attacks in quick succession that it almost instantly reaches that +13% threshold.
The Shard of Alexander boosts the attack power of weapon skills in general by 15%
The Godfrey Icon boosts the attack power of only fully charged weapon skills by 15%
I began the fight by using frostbone arrows to afflict Malenia with frostbite, which increases the damage that she takes from all sources by 20%
Once I frostbit her, I drank my Flask of Wondrous Physick, which contained Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear and Thorny Cracked Tear, which each last two minutes and increase the power of all magic damage by 20% and the power of successive attacks by up to 20% respectively.
When you combine all of these factors, a fully charged Eochaid corkscrew is dealing 20% more than its usual damage output due to frostbite...plus 6% and 13% and 15% and 15% from the talismans, and then +40% from the Wondrous Physick. This culminates in dealing well over double damage, improved even more in the second phase by the Bloodboil Aromatic, which increases my damage dealt by even further by an additional 20%, but with the cost of increasing my own damage vulnerability by 25%, mandating its use in the second phase only and the necessity to not get hit by anything.
Now, I’m not usually a metagame number cruncher or anything. I don’t think about these numbers much at all in-game. People can absolutely get even higher, more mammoth numbers in other, much more efficient ways, or just shred through Malenia’s healthbar with Rivers of Blood’s Corpse Piler ability or something. But I didn’t want to use Rivers of Blood, I wanted to use my favorite weapon in the game, and I crunched these numbers just to see how hard this weapon could hit in conditions that are essentially optimal without being overly complicated; I’m not stacking incantations or using a whole arsenal of weapons for multiple different buffs, after all. It’s just me, my sword, my bow, my flask, and my aromatic.
Anyway, this build (plus: an offhand Blood-affinity Whip not present in this fight to make up for the sword’s relatively short range, and usually using the Ritual Sword/Taker's Cameo [for a more consistent damage boost at full health, switching out when possible to maintain full health] or Lord of Blood's Exultation [for a more consistent damage boost after proccing blood loss with the whip] instead of the Godfrey Icon [since fully charged corkscrews can be too inopportune to do consistently]) has been the most fun I've had with a video game maybe ever, for both dungeon crawling and boss beating.
You may be saying I got super lucky because she didn't Waterfowl, or didn't do X or Y, and it was definitely a little luck-reliant, but my distancing, arrows, and immobilizing corkscrews all served to force her own movement and make her attack patterns more predictable. Malenia is a surprisingly passive boss in her first phase, given that she’s supposed to be much more aggressive in her second phase, but spamming arrows could force her into approaching and attacking, which is where I could get most of my arrows in while evading. And, of course, the second phase’s increased aggression is kind of moot because she spends the entirety of it inside of my magic metal meatgrinder.
And lastly, what you don't see are all of the attempts where I got my shit handed to me because I missed the spacing or the timing of the corkscrew. It's still kinda cheese, not Rivers of Blood level cheese but definitely still a little cheesy, but to me felt more like a high stakes sniper's duel where we could each kill the other basically instantly. Seriously, if you think this was an unfair fight, remember that I have no armor and only 40 Vigor lol

Hello, here's my questions for the Ask about Fandom thingy, it's for Elden Ring!
1.
5.
7.
10.
13.
15.
Thank you!
what originally drew me to it
i was already really into the souls games, but the big draw for me with elden ring was getting to participate in like, the peak swarm of online activity and lore diving that comes in the first few weeks/months. i wasn't really around for the release of any of the other games, so it felt like something really special.
5. a character i'd like to frame and hang on my wall and admire like a work of art
RANNI.... i really like ranni... i like the little absurdities worked into her writing, like how she makes fun of you for talking to the minature ranni or the way she sits on a stack of books to look less short. i think the way her strange, inhuman body is treated by the narrative and the camera is really interesting. i like that she's unscrupulous in her methods and weird in her aims. also if you do her questline you get to hang out with blaidd a lot, which leads us to
7. a character who feels like home
i really like blaidd a lot too. deciding to give him such a gentle, soft-spoken voice was a stroke of fucking genius. like he's just sincerely the nicest person in the game AND he's a giant battle-hardened wolf furry. literally the ideal man. much like with people who give ranni tits, anyone who draws blaidd without his battered, lopsided features is sanding charm off the character, absolute philistine shit. i desire him carnally but tbh it would also just be really nice to fall asleep on his chest
10. a ship I would gladly go down with... and then become davey jones, so I can continue to captain said ship for eternity
i don't actually have any elden ring ships i have particularly strong feelings on, i think? rykard and tanith's whole deal is cute, but they're just outright married in the text, so that's hardly a ship... i have my fair share of fromsoft shipping opinions but they're all, like. dark souls 3 yuri. and also the solid 20% of my brain dedicated to thinking about lady maria/plain doll
13. the non-canon pairing i find the most intriguing
same problem here, really. sorry! -w-;
15. a character/story arc that bores me to tears
i truly do not understand why anyone on god's earth cares about mohg. i summoned for my very first attempt on that guy's fight just to get him over with quicker

Cyber! Would you ever consider writing for Elden Ring? There’s lots of characters in it I can imagine you really enjoying writing for like Mohg and Miquelon, Morgott, Varré, Seluvis, Ranni, Malenia…honestly with all the weird shit happening in that game the potential for kinkiness is off the charts.
Like I have so many prompt ideas that would vibe w/ your writing style specifically. Have you played it?
My peeeep have I played it? Me and my bro have been playing it every day since it came out haha yeah I‘d def be willing to write for it 😁
Though I wonder how it‘d turn out

thoughts on elden ring bcs i feel like i have to put them somewhere fair warning for spoilers
- much more colorful than ds3 (low bar i know but goodness the difference is stunning when you go from one to the other) -im so glad they gave us the ability to jump. like wow i can actually go up stuff now?? im not trapped if i fall down a small ledge?? sweet. - the ambient music in caelid makes my skin crawl (complimentary) also they really nailed the vibe of it as this horrible rotting place that wants you dead. also all the giant mushrooms and stuff everywhere, love those. - speaking of, i love the lil wolf howls in the raya lucaria ambient music. (also the overall color palette and aesthetic and stuff 10/10 blue good, sparkly rocks good) - radahn's fight was fun and chaotic (once i had enough health that he wasn't 2 shotting me right as i walked in) i liked that you could just keep summoning backup throughout the fight so you had a near endless stream of cannon fodder help. - rykards fight was a pain in the ass though, idk if it was just me but i struggled to get the timing down on when and how to stun him. (also, i really expected his voice to be more,,, idk intimidating?? he just sounds like he's talking with his mouth full.) - morgott wasn't too bad (although it was also the first fight i did while having a great rune active so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) (should also note i beat him before i took down rykard) i will say i didn't expect his lore to be so sad. Like shit dude I feel bad about killing you now. - im really enjoying the wide variety of stuff i can do with incantations, i can summon lightning, throw fireballs, temporarily give myself a tail, and turn my head into a dragon's, it's great. - i have no clue what is happening like 60% of the time. i feel like i probably missed some story stuff somewhere down the line. (i spent so much time dicking around with other stuff i would not be surprised) - I kinda miss destiny's more expansive lore entries. I get that that's just not the way these games tend to operate when it comes to story, like i know they like to be vague and leave stuff up to interpretation but sometimes i want more than flavor text yknow? I want to read more about these characters and events. (and yes i know ao3 exists but diving for good fic takes time and trial and error, that and i want a more consistent understanding of canon than what assorted fic would be able to provide. ah well, when there is no canon, you make your own.)
- I wish id gotten more time to talk w/ melina before she died. the cutscene was really nice and it felt like it implied a lot but i just didn't get to hang out with her enough for it to hit as hard as i think the creators intended it to. (or maybe im just more emotionally numb in general these days idk.) - that said, i really like the conversation you can have with her if you beat the boss at the end of the shunning grounds. "however ruined this world has become, however mired in torment and despair... life endures. births continue. There is beauty in that, is there not?" like fuck dude!! you're right!! there is beauty in that!! ( i then proceeded not to go looking for the frenzied flame, and instead just took the item in the chest and the incantation i got off the boss and left. ) - also i did some pvp invasion stuff for varre's questline since i wanted to see if anything in or around that area would have more fun blood flame incantations. (I have found none so far but i did find mohg!! who i have not fought yet.) Given my experience with pvp being primarily overwatch and destiny ( very different genre i know, but still) i kind of expected to just get repeatedly curbstomped by tryhards, but i actually didn't have too bad a time. I even manged to kill a person (or three. look three out of five is a pretty good track record for me ok??).
anyways i think that's all i have to say about that.

Hi, I’m Miquella from Elden Ring and I’m mostly looking for canonmates but I’d be happy to just chat w/ other sourcemates. Body is an adult. My canon is sorta convoluted but the most important parts are that us Demigods (Malenia, Radahn, Morgott, Rykard, Mohg and I) died during the Shattering & were reincarnated much later. We travelled the Lands Between together in an attempt to mend the world. Melina was a sibling to us, as well. If any of that rings a bell shoot me a message @kulu—ya-ku.

Elden Ring Thought Dump Time!
Elden Ring Spoilers

Honestly one of my favorite things recently has been imagining the backstories of the Tarnished based on the little descriptions we get on the background options, like
The Prisoner is a former noble, but I think they were also a Carian Noble, or at least descended from one. See, their starting spell is a prototype for the Carian Phalanx, so I like to think that it’s possible their ancestor was a Noble who took off on the Long March with Godfrey, and settled and passed down his magic in his bloodline. And one day, The Prisoner was imprisoned for reasons, and only could remember the one spell their ancestor passed down: The Magic Glintblade. It’d also make it poetic if they marry Ranni, as they would return and become a “Carian” Noble once more.
Or, how the Hero is said to be the descendant of a Badlands Chieftain. So the possibility of them being a descendant of Hoarah Loux/Godfrey. So that means that the Hero could very well have left without being made aware of Hoarah Loux’s connection to the Lands Between, and would add a tinge of tragedy to the Second-to-last fight, as you’d basically be fighting your However-many-greats Grandfather.
Idk, I just think that’s fun to do
Along with that, I’ve been thinking abt Miquella, and uh. If the shit abt him being St. Trina is true, then. He’s like, suspicious as fuck, right??? Like it’s not just me thinking that. The idea of a demigod with the disarming guise of a child, who can compel affection and calm others is kind of, uh. Weird. Especially when you think about all the people in the Haligtree, some of whom can literally explode. Like what if Miquella is a bit more sinister than he appears? Idk, just a thought.
Speaking of, I really adore how Godfrey’s just, huge. Like it was entirely possible that he would just be our size, but him just being big is funny as hell, because there’s no particular reason stated for it besides being raised to be a demigod but even then that doesn’t prove much since Godwyn was a demigod and wasn’t that big. And they could have done some bullshit where “Oh he had a Great Rune somehow which was why he was so big!” But no they just made him big for no reason and that is sick
Morgott basically saying “Oh Gods mom is gonna kill me when she finds out I broke her chairs” is funny as hell to me. Also the fact that Mohg has such inferiority issues that he STOLE the second half of his brother’s name and slapped it onto his own to make his dynasty name is both sweet and hilarious to me.
Ok so there’s some lines of Marika casting someone out to the fringes you get from Melina at the Dectus Lift, and I headcanon that as being Godrick. Specifically, Godrick after Kristoff imprisoned Godefroy who could have been his father or something. Idk, I just think the idea of Marika saying “Listen, you can either stay with the Order and become one with it, or leave and start over” is just kind of, strange? Like was she giving Godrick a chance to leave the Order as a whole? Because it would go with Marika’s lack of faith in it, if she allowed Godrick the choice. Also it kind of gives Godrick some tragedy, as his grandmother or w/e basically gave him an ultimatum, leave or be SUPER RELIGIOUS. And knowing what happens to him, he left. And it contextualizes his last words
"One day we'll return together, to our home, bathed in rays of gold."
The game does a really good job of hiding it’s Bloodborne inspirations, because at first it just looks like a generic fantasy world, but then you go underground. And you find Aliens, Outer Gods, ruined Eternal Cities. And you realize that the Greater Will is not the only Higher Being in this world, and there are others trying to usurp its power for their own needs.
Kale’s lines at the beginning carry so much more fucking weight after the Cathedral Of The Forsaken and that’s fucking amazing.
I’ll prolly have more thoughts later but this is all I’ve got for now. Peace!

its REALLY comical experiencing the disparity between how hard or easy certain bosses in elden ring are based on build. maliketh took me DAYS to beat in my 1st playthrough w/ winged scythe, but i got him second try with moonveil; meanwhile the scythe build took down mohg in a single try and moonveil was struggling to get to phase 2
