Time traveler Min Yoongi goes back to the 21st century to see the work of legendary painter and activist Park Jimin. Jimin shows an immediate and unexpected interest in Yoongi and Yoongi feels his chest go all soft when Jimin smiles. He hadn’t expected to fall in love not only with the art, but also with the artist.
Jimin’s is as outspoken as his work and fights for the recognition of lgbt rights, soon becoming one of the most prominent faces of the cause.
Eventually, South Korea gets over its bigot ass and legalizes homosexual marriage. Yoongi has long forgotten his life in the future, the only thing that matters is Jimin and Jimin only, his smile, his small hands, the smell of paint on his hair and the thin, gold band around his ring finger that symbolizes their union.
It’s March, 14th, a day too beautiful for words, forests of cherry trees crying their petals. Jimin gets shot by an anti-lgbt extremist in the middle of the street. He falls soundlessly to the ground as the cherry trees weep for their loss, trying to hide his wound with flowers.
Someone calls Yoongi. Yoongi doesn’t understand the words, the only thing he knows is that he will never kiss Jimin again.
There is only one travel left in his time machine. He can go back to the future, to the exact moment he left and everything will be the same.
He travels fifteen years in the past, before he had first met Jimin. He walks in a Fine Arts Academy he had only heard stories about, a lump in his throat as he paces through the corridors. There he is. Jimin, in a splash of light coming through the wide windows of an empty classroom. He has a paint stain on his nose as he chews on the end of a brush as he always used to do. As he does.
He stands in the door frame, unable to say anything without crying.
«Can I do something for you?» Jimin asks with a smile that is fifteen years younger than the one Yoongi has grown to love, but that is just as soft and kind.
    «I was looking for you.»
    «For me?»
Yoongi walks closer and gets a glimpse of Jimin’s painting. It’s still unfinished, but he recognizes it from the exhibit where they first met. He looks at Jimin, heart aching with longing, «It’s beautiful.»
Jimin sighs, «It’s not. I should just quit and go back to Busan.»
«What? No!» Yoongi grabs his arm, but steps back at Jimin’s alarmed expression. «I mean, you can’t. You will do great things with your art.»
    «I’m not talented enough. I’ll never make a living.»
    «I’ll buy it.»
Jimin looks at him with wide eyes, «What?»
«I’ll buy every single one of your paintings until you become famous.»
«I won’t ever-» Jimin’s voice drops and he just nods.
Yoongi keeps going back to Jimin, he can’t help it. He sees him grow into the artist Yoongi loved and adored, but he’s scared of the fondness he sees in Jimin’s eyes. This is not his place.
At Jimin’s first exhibit, he looks from far away. The moment his younger self walks through the door, excited and exhilarated. The moment Jimin sees him and confused recognition sparks in his eyes. Yoongi sees them talk and he sees Jimin looking for him, maybe he thinks young Yoongi is his little brother, who knows. Yoongi will never know.
He steps back from Jimin’s life and just follows the news, Jimin’s rise in popularity, his speeches on national television, the legalization of gay marriage. He sees pictures of their wedding online. They look so happy.
Tomorrow is March, 14th. Yoongi knows that tomorrow will be a day too beautiful for words. Tomorrow, Yoongi will lose the love of his life once more.
On March, 13th, Yoongi commits suicide.

Evelyn Brooks lives with the freedom only her kind can know—in her human form as a photographer, and in the skies as a falcon. When a stalker drives her from her home, Evelyn discovers a beautiful, wild sanctuary in North Carolina. After a bolt of magic knocks her from the sky, leaving her helpless, she realizes too late that danger has invaded her refuge. Park ranger Lawke Morgan’s day goes from bad to worse when his ex-wife unexpectedly drops off their 13-year-old daughter, Zoe, in the beginning of a dangerous storm. His life takes a turn for the bizarre after he finds an injured Peregrine falcon that transforms into a lovely woman. When his daughter is kidnapped by an Aztec priest, one who should have been dead for centuries, Lawke learns that Evelyn holds the key to the priest’s demands. Together they must confront blood sacrifices, defy ancient gods, and find a way to trust each other when Zoe’s life hangs in the balance. Can a woman used to soaring amongst the clouds embrace love with a man firmly rooted on the ground?

Evelyn Brooks raced across a purple-tinged sky. Behind her, lightning and thunder clashed within baleful clouds. Her wings dipped in a strong crosswind and plunged her toward the earth. Muscling through the gale, she climbed into a less turbulent current. She’d never make Raleigh before getting soaked, despite the speed her Peregrine form achieved. A ferocious roar drowned out the whistle of the wind. The upward flap of her wings faltered, and her blood chilled. Turning into a different current, she glimpsed the silhouette of an enormous beast against the storm’s clouds. Below her, the treetops of a deciduous forest with red-kissed leaves due to an early frost stood sentry. She took shelter within the branches of an oak tree. The whoosh of wings induced Evelyn to shrink against the tree trunk and dig her talons into the bark as the limbs swayed. A strong crosswind contorted the tree further. Another roar challenged the incoming storm’s might and silenced the nighttime creatures. Twisting her head, she glanced through the foliage into the cloud-filled sky. A dark shadow moved against the dark gray backdrop. Gigantic wings lifted a massive creature high into the sky. Hunted until extinct, dragons had been stripped of their scales and blood, their magic forever lost to the supernatural communities. For eons they’d guarded and sheltered those seeking wisdom or healing until humans, who couldn’t control their desires, rampaged across the earth and destroyed all the sanctuaries. Apparently, the purge hadn’t destroyed them all, and the approaching storm had disturbed this one’s slumber. Moving to the East Coast was supposed to keep Evelyn safe. Free her of the disturbing sense that someone watched her. Maybe stimulate her creativity and spark a burst of artistry. Instead, she was denied the escape of flight and forced to hide.
