biography ,

growing up in mystic falls virginia, caroline always heard about vampires. after all, the council that all but governed the town was obsessed with them. her father himself had kept journals about the mythical creatures. but she never really believed in them. at least not until she went to college. there, she met stefan and damon salvatore, and there, the salvatores met elena. the story stays similar from there, elena and stefan fall madly in love. damon is jealous and obsessed with getting closer to elena and he uses caroline to do it. he begins feeding from her, inadvertently injecting her with the enzymes needed to kickstart the transition. only, he only ever takes a little blood. leaves a little enzyme / venom. from there, the transition process is slow. painful. through the next few months, caroline grows weaker, her mind becomes more susceptible to damon’s control and influence. by the time stefan catches on to what’s happening, it’s too late. and it all comes to head at homecoming her sophomore year of college. damon grows angry, he bites, he feeds — stefan intervenes but in the scuffle it takes for stefan to get damon away from caroline, the transition completes and she’s turned into a vampire.

stefan probably sticks around to help out a little bit after she turns, so she might know some things, but overall she’ll remain mostly clueless when it comes to the real extent of her vampire abilities / weaknesses, and the broader network and history of vampires 

verse developed heavily with webheadedhero’s peter parker, in which case peter is one of the people who helps caroline really learn about her abilities and embrace who she is 

due to the differences on how to change a vampire, she will likely avoid feeding from the vein as much as possible and she tries to sustain herself through animal blood and/or blood bags

BIOGRAPHY

The sole survivor of a car crash at just three months old, Leah was adopted by Emil and June Poyntz. She joined her older brother Rufus, who'd been adopted by the couple just a few years earlier, and at last it seemed that the family was complete. Living in El Paso, Texas, Leah's new life was full of love and happiness. For a while, at least.

When she was eight years old, strange things began happening in the house. Items moved around at night, were impossibly stacked in the kitchen. Birds and other animals seemed to die in the vicinity of their yard. Rufus became agitated, convinced that something terrible was going to happen. And one night, it did.

Leah was taken from her family home by an unknown force. There was no sign of forced entry, no evidence at all to point to an intruder. In a flash of bright light she was gone, witnessed only by her brother who'd been standing guard, unable to sleep.

A week after her abduction, Leah found herself alone, lost, away from home on the other side of the country. She didn't even know where home was, literally. All her previous memories were gone, other than her name. She ended up in the foster care system, trying to piece together a new life for herself and wondering what happened to her life before.

He ordered them destroyed. But a lab technician took pity on Leah, helping her to escape and join a Xandarian family who would hide her. One of the common defects of Leah's species was seizures.
