Things my band directors have said:
Band director, through a microphone from the top of the band tower: hey if you ever feel like working could you do this?
Assistant band director, from the pavement with us: do you want me to come up there and fight you grandpa? I'll fight you.

Assistant band director: see sometimes you guys get too close to each other as you're doing the arm movement. Cause if I go like this, *starts doing the arm move in question*, and I'm close enough to hit grandpa, *starts slapping the band directors arm back and forth*, then I'm too close.
Band director: *literally could care less. Not paying attention to what she's doing and fighting with the Dr. Beat.*

Band director: guard? That rep was hot. That's the best I've ever seen you do that work all year. Whatever you ate for breakfast it eat it every day.
Assistant band director: yknow I'm not sure I you saying "that was hot" about children.
Band director: guard that was smokin'.
Assistant band director: nope that's worse.
Band director: how about it was ✨️slay✨️.
Us: *cheering*

Marching season is almost upon us, and I have assumed the older sibling role this year. That being said, here’s your older sibling reminding you not to bind during marching practice!
I know you may want to, but it’s seriously not good for you. I know dysphoria sucks; I’ve felt it before, and I’ve been one of those that didn’t listen to the advice of my older sibling figure. It leaves lasting effects on breathing, you could crack a rib, dislocate or break one.
If you want an alternative, possibly wear a tighter sports bra. NOT tight to the point where you can’t breathe, but sports bras work wonders when you can’t bind. I know dysphoria sucks, but your health comes first.

Fun fact in our marching band there is a rule in the drum majors handbook that says drum majors cannot under any circumstances date because at one competition a few years back two drum majors had a BAD breakup like yelling and arguing and whatever and WOULD NOT look at each other to keep time and the music fell apart cause they were keeping time differently (because they weren’t looking at each other) and the band kinda split. So anyways. Now you know that

In any other country this would be considered a hate crime but here it's considered culture. This is an tactic of intimidation that incites violence and celebrates imperialism.
For anyone that doesn't know, KAT means "kill all taigs" - taigs meaning catholics. People should face jail time for this but this country protects violent bigots because it was built on the subjugation of catholics to prop up a unionist controlled state.
This is the legacy of colonialism in this country and the UK turns a blind eye to it every single year.

Hi, this is my baby!
