The Curse Of VenomClan - ClanGen - Moons 19 - 23

VenomClan, also known as The Cursed Clan, was founded by snakes and traitors, the darkness having seeped deep into their founding. However, many moons have passed and the Clan is not as it once was.

Hate no longer pours from them.

Despite this, VenomClan is cursed, thanks to their distant ancestors.

Every fifth kit dies before they are a moon old [aka I /kill them] and after a horrid winter that struck their numbers down, VenomClan is in need of new cats to the point that the survivors came together and agreed that they must allow new cats into their Clan.

A loner joins VenomClan and changes her name to Goldsky!

Hop and Splashstripe have two more kits! The Curse awakens once more.

Twilighttooth and Mosquitosand have become mates, as have Goldsky and Jewel [Goldsky and Jewel weren't in the notifications, but I decided to make them mates]

Meet The New Cats!

Goldsky is a white molly with dilute tortoiseshell patches on her face, lower back, and tail. She has hazel eyes that have a golden tint to them. Her fur is medium.

Whorlkit is a pale gray and white smoky molly with blue eyes and medium fur

Ibiskit is a pale gray and white smoky tom with hazel eyes and short fur. Ibiskit dies shortly after birth. The Curse doesn't waste any time with taking Ibiskit away from his father and siblings.

The New Cats

Tiger is a pale gray and white molly with pale ginger tabby patches and dark blue eyes. She has long fur.

Her two kits are Knollkit and Mudkit.

Knollkit is a dark ginger marbled tabby tom with a lighter underside and yellow eyes. His fur is long.

Mudkit is a dark brown and white bengal tom with short fur and hazel eyes.

the injured loner brought into the Clan is Flintdust, a young black ticked tabby molly with short fur and green eyes.

Though The Curse was recently satisfied, it stirs as new life continues to grow. That night Bluestar finds his dreams are plagued with nightmares in which he looses Sycamorepaw, Berrypaw, Mantispaw, and Flailkit the same way he and Warblerblaze lost their daughter, Plumkit.

When he awakens, he finds that his family is still with him. He worries who the next cat taken by The Curse will be.. And part of him wonders if Tickstar shared in these fears.

nothing interesting happened in the relationship events or patrols, so next moon!

out of all the suffixes you could've gotten. you got one that doesn't work at all. not that your prefix would work anyway but girl!! your fur is grey!!

she is also getting a crush on Boldcall, apparently. girl, she looks exactly like you. Patchpaw getting a crush on Mantispaw is also very cute

MeadowClan

Moon 17 (Greenleaf)

A fire breaks out in the meadow, killing many cats. Shani (88m Female) manages to get two newborn kits (Lilackit [Female] and Wisteriakit [Male]) out. She feels horrible as she couldn't save their littermates. Shani manages to get a safe distance away before dying from smoke inhalation. To her horror, Wisteriakit also dies.

... But Shani does feel comfort, comfort in knowing that she was able to at least keep Lilackit alive. Even if Shani couldn't save the rest of MeadowClan, at least Lilackit can rebuild it.

MeadowClan has no leader!

MeadowClan has no deputy!

MeadowClan has no healer!

Moon 18 (Leaf-fall)

Lilackit wonders why she's alone... Did she have a family? If so, where are they?

She vaguely remembers someone saying something to her when she was still a newborn.

"It's up to you to rebuild MeadowClan... I'm sorry, Lilackit."

Was Lilackit part of this MeadowClan? If so, where was every cat? Was this even a MeadowClan?

Moon 19

Lilackit practices pouncing on beetles. She also found a dead mouse.

Moon 20

Lilackit has a strange dream...

This cat introduces herself as Shani, and says she will help train Lilackit.

Lilackit, thinking this is a dream, says yes.

Moon 21 (Leaf-bare)

Shani teaches Lilackit about MeadowClan's history, and the roles in a Clan.

Lilackit plays in the snow.

Moon 22

Lilackit wonders how her life would have been if the rest of this 'MeadowClan' was still alive...

... Then she remembers... The memories are vivid, but she remembers the fire. And her littermates... And how Wisteriakit died from smoke inhalation.

Lilackit gives out a wail of agony. She could have grown up with her family, but that fire took it all.

Moon 23

Lilackit is now Lilacpaw. She has chosen to be a healer.

Moon 24 (Newleaf)

Lilacpaw fails to find any herbs...

Moon 25

While trying to find herbs, Lilacpaw hears whispers in the wind. She follows the strange sounds on the wind and finds the body of an unknown queen with their kits beside them, slowly going cold. Lilacpaw desperately tries to save a kitten, but can't. She cries in agony, wondering if she's cursed.

Moon 26

Lilacpaw finally gathered some herbs.

Moon 27 (Greenleaf)

Shani hopes Lilacpaw will be okay...

One of Lilacpaw's deceased littermates, Pikekit (0m in life, 10m in death Male), hears Lilacpaw live the life he couldn't live.

Moon 28

Lilacpaw decides to be a warrior for a while, in hopes she can find some cat to join.

Moon 29

Lilacpaw goes on a patrol, and finds a set of tunnels. She decides to not explore. After all, who knows what might be hiding inside?

Moon 30 (Leaf-fall)

Lilacpaw fight a fox kit, and even gets it's mouse!

Shani is proud of Lilacpaw.

When Lilacpaw returns to camp, she is surprised to find a cat sniffing around. The cat introduces herself as Mantisfreeze (23m) and proceeds to explain that she's Lilacpaw's older sister from a different litter, as they had the same parents. Lilacpaw asks why she's never heard of her until now, and Mantisfreeze explains Meadowstar's tyrrany, specifically how she convinced Mantisfreeze (Mantiskit back then) and Lilacpaw's parents to abandon her because she was a single kit, and that meant she was a bad omen. Mantiskit was only a moon old.

However, a loner found Mantiskit, and raised her. Mantiskit still remembered her origins though, and when she reached six moons old, she called herself Mantispaw, and then Mantisfreeze.

One day, Mantisfreeze heard how a fire broke out through the meadow. She decided to come back and see if any survivors remained. That's how she found Lilacpaw.

Lilacpaw asks Mantisfreeze how she knew they were related, and Mantisfreeze says that she could smell their mother's scent on her.

Lilacpaw doesn't care about that though, what matters is that she's no longer alone.

Lilacpaw resumes being a healer.

Mantisfreeze wants to spend more time with Lilacpaw!

Lilacpaw is happy to run into Mantisfreeze today.

Mantisfreeze helps Lilacpaw gather goldenrod.

Mantisfreeze has gotten a broken back.

Moon 32

Shani visits Lilacpaw and Mantisfreeze when they gather herbs. They each give respectful nods to each other.

Moon 33 (Leaf-bare)

Lilacpaw is glad to have Mantisfreeze in her life.

Moon 34

Lilacpaw is now a full healer! Her name is now Lilacflame.

Mantisfreeze's broken back has healed, but she is now paralyzed.

Mantisfreeze realizes she was too harsh in her judgement of Lilacflame.

Moon 35

Lilacflame brings a loner named Carolina (23m Female) and her newborn kits (Caroline [Female], Cinnabon [Male], Libra [Female], Neapolitan [Male], and Sagittarius [Male]) back to camp. The Clan allows Carolina and her kits to keep their names, as warrior names aren't required.

Mantisfreeze shows Carolina around the camp after introducing herself.

Moon 36 (Newleaf)

Caroline and Neapolitan try to sneak out of camp...

But they are caught and returned to the nursery.

Mantisfreeze wants to explore the whole territory with Carolina!

Lilacflame feels like Mantisfreeze has been ignoring her ever since Carolina joined.... Lilacflame understands that Mantisfreeze has a life outside of her's, but it still hurts.

Mantisfreeze notices Lilacflame looking gloomy, so Mantisfreeze decides to cheer her up. Mantisfreeze splashes water from a puddle onto Lilacflame's fur. Lilacflame fluffs up like a bottlebrush, turning around to quickly send a wave of water back to Mantisfreeze! The two engage in a small water fight, and when the herb gathering patrol resumes, Mantisfreeze is glad to see Lilacflame looks much happier.

Cinnabon says hello to Carolina at least ten times in a row, until she finally says hello back.

Neapolitan chats with Lilacflame about what it's like to be a healer.

Sagittarius is asking older cats how kits are born.

Lilacflame has been hearing the voices of StarClan cats...

Libra has gotten a running nose.

Moon 37

Lilacflame teaches the kits about what plants to stay away from.

Carolina got roped into playing mossball with her kits. Mantisfreeze also joins in!

Mantisfreeze thinks about how great a Clanmate Sagittarius will make someday.

Mantisfreeze has confessed her feelings to Carolina and they have become mates.

Moon 38

Lilacflame invents something! She calls it "wheels". She then explains how she hopes it will help paralyzed cats move around easier, and also explains she got the idea from paralyzed kittypets with similar contraptions. She allows Mantisfreeze to try the wheels, and they work!

Carolina has finally recovered from giving birth.

While training with Mantisfreeze, Carolina gets stuck underneath some dirt. Creeping in as close as possible, Mantisfreeze purrs to Carolina, keeping her calm as she digs down to her. Carolina blinks up at her, holding on to her presence in a scary situation.

Lilacflame hears whispers in the wind.

... She has a flashback...

She quickly runs, hoping to help whoever it is. Unfortunately the queen is already dead, but the two kits are still alive! Lilacflame instantly wraps herself around the kits and starts thinking about what to do when she gets back to camp... She also decides to name and adopt the two she-kits (Parsleykit and Emeraldkit).

Mantisfreeze takes Carolina out to a beautiful spot in the territory, just for fun.

Caroline, Cinnabon, Libra, Neapolitan, and Sagittarius are now apprentices! Caroline chooses to be a healer and is apprenticed to Lilacflame, Cinnabon chooses to be a meditator, Libra and Sagittarius are apprenticed to Mantisfreeze, and Neapolitan is apprenticed to Carolina.

Lilacflame teaches Caroline about poppy seeds.

Libra was seen arguing, and borderline fighting, with a loner.

Moon 42 (Leaf-fall)

Lilacflame was bitten by a snake, and miraculously survived!

While on a patrol with Mantisfreeze, Neapolitan, Libra, and Sagittarius, Carolina stumbles across a bush of red berries. She confidently brings them back to camp with the patrol, where she is then informed that redcurrants aren't a useful medical herb.

Moon 43

Caroline mutters something about plantain, as Lilacflame carefully licks around her snake bite wound. It's not healing like it should.

In the middle of camp, just as she's about to pounce, Parsleykit falls to the ground and begins shaking, a seizure rolling through her little body. This causes Lilacflame to realize Parsleykit is seizure prone.

Lilacflame is always happy to be around Parsleykit and Emeraldkit.

Carolina purrs for a long time at one of Mantisfreeze's lame jokes.

Moon 44

Parsleykit and Emeraldkit are now apprentices! Parsleypaw gets Mantisfreeze as her mentor, and Emeraldpaw gets Carolina for her mentor.

Neapolitan has gotten a sprain.

Moon 55

Sleekrun breathes a sigh of relief. They were nervous that They might lose their tail to the infection but the swelling has gone down and the wound no longer smells funny. Now if only they could convince the healers to stop applying marigold.

Kinkblaze is happy to move back into the warriors den after Stormflicker gives them the all-clear.

Yewchill heard familiar yowling over the dunes, followed by frenzied barking. They lept into battle without thinking and managed to surprise and scare off a truly massive dog. Heavytail thanks them for their help and insists on bringing them to the medicine cats for a check but they are surprisingly fine. They only sustained some minor bruising from the big oafs clumsy legs.

Oddpaw, despite being confined to the medicine den for an injury, manages to prove themselves ten times over and are named a warrior after their intensity. The newly named Oddspots feels honored and proud of this accomplishment.

Greenleafs heat appears to not just affect the cats. Sunnykit was the one to smell the smoke first and told Greenflip about the "extra stinky smell" coming from the medicine cat den. Greenflip manages to rally up the previously sedate clan to grab bedding and soak it in the ocean to hopefully put out the fire that was set on some herbs. While no cat is hurt the herb supply has been decimated so this moon will have both medicine cats taking out full patrols in search of new ones.

They were only able to grab a small pawful of herbs. But every bit counts.

Greenflips leg was severely injured by a twoleg trap.

Stormflicker tells Sunnykit and the apprentices a story that they all eagerly listen to.

Sleekrun's tail is feeling much better now.

Yewchill's bruises have all faded but they still love telling that dog story.

Mantispaw and Crookedpaw have finally passed their warrior assessments and are given the names Mantisears and Crookedbracken for their gallantry and independence respectively. Oddspots eagerly welcomes their siblings as full warriors.

The clan is sorely lacking in kits. Greenflip is going to be shrinking patrol sizes in the hopes that good things happen.

Roarpatch loves everyone! As a friend!

Ferncreek got scratched while driving off a small dog.

Heavytail was injured by a large dog while out on patrol.

Pigeonflecks broken jaw has left them with a scar but nothing more.

Heavytail heals surprisingly fast.

Sleekrun and Roarpatch confess to each other at the same time and laugh. They are now mates.

Greenflip feels the life leaving them slowly. They pass with their mate, their kits, and their leader at their side yet all they can do is apologize as the world grows dim.

The camp suddenly feels a lot more empty without them there...

Cragshadow is made leader in Greenflip's place.

Pepperbuzz saved Grousefleck from a large dog but was badly injured.

Sunnykit presses themself into Frostfreckle's side tightly before reluctantly standing and approaching Hopstar. They are solemnly named Sunnypaw and entrusted to Flutterbuzz. Flutterbuzz sees them casting glances back at their remaining parent and nudges them towards Frostfreckle. Sunnypaw runs up to Frostfreckle one last time for a quick grooming and snuggle before they are led out of camp.

The entire family grieves.

Whisperpeak and Kinkblaze both bring back three kits each and refuse to say anything.

Whisperpeak has named their three Sprucekit, Pondkit, and Clamkit.

Kinkblaze has named their three kits Dolphinkit, Songkit, and Splashkit.

Saltears was seen fighting with a warrior in Snipclan.

Yewchill has caught whitecough.

Once it reached the camp, the disease was quick to spread.

Smokewhisper was one of the first to be infected. He had already been bedridden in the medicine den for moons with the ups and downs of a rocky postnatal recovery. Right as Faithstripe believed he was on the mends, an infection struck, and Smokewhisper was kept by the medicine cats' side for yet another moon. He watched his kits grow up without him, only brief flashes through the pain and fatigue. Each time he saw them, they were a little taller, their eyes a little brighter, their fur a little longer, until the next thing he knew his little kits were suddenly 'paws.

It began as a sore throat, just a few weeks later. The sore throat turned into a sore chest turned into sore lungs. Each breath came laboriously between wet, hacking coughs, until even staying awake was a chore. Sometimes he was cold, reduced to a trembling mess where he laid. Other times, bursts of fevered heat shot through him, and he panted in clouds of chilled leafbare air.

He was joined shortly after by a kitten he didn't recognize. One of the new additions to the Clan he had missed during his recovery. The two of them were quarantined away from the rest of the camp. In the quiet, dark corner of the medicine den, consciousness came fleetingly, days indistinguishable from those that came before or next. In one of Smokewhisper's moments of lucidity, Faithstripe had explained that another warrior, Grayclaw, had been grappling with greencough, and their proximity in the medicine den had likely spread it to Smokewhisper. Both he and Mantiskit had been struck by yellowcough. Milder than greencough and thus more hopeful to survive, but still too contagious to allow for any visitors lest the illness spread any further than it already had.

Flurryclaw, the Clan deputy, was the next to join, and soon Mantiskit became Mantispaw, apprenticed to the young Vixenfeather with her eyes still streaming and words punctuated with harsh wheezes. But the 'paw was still young, and soon found her way out of the medicine den while Smokewhisper kept Flurryclaw company. It seemed to be a small outbreak, kept to only the handful of cats already infected. Smokewhisper grew stronger each day, sleeping less and eating more, and things were looking up.

Until Icypaw and Tansypaw joined them in quarantine.

His kits — only a moon into their apprenticeship, they were still just kits, and they would always be his kits. Curled up together in their shared nest, bodies wracked with shivers, they looked as small as they had before their eyes had even opened. He was helpless to do anything but lay beside them and try to keep them warm.

The current state of the outbreak had put a strain on supplies, and a sudden cold snap had killed the rest of the medicinal herbs, leaving Faithstripe with only a few more lungwort leaves to give. If only Smokewhisper could remove all the treatments that had brought him his strength back and give them to his daughters, he would. Let Icypaw and Tansypaw receive the lungwort, and he would gladly waste away in exchange, if only to guarantee they would live another day.

As his own senses returned to him, his daughters further deteriorated. Faithstripe kicked him out of the medicine den the day he was declared free of yellowcough.

"They are my kits," he snarled. "I can't leave them behind!"

"I'm sorry, Smokewhisper." The old medicine cat watched him somberly. "But this is an epidemic. We need to enforce full quarantine measures. I swear upon StarClan, I will do everything I can to save your daughters."

Icypaw died one moon later.

The procession was a subdued affair. The yellowcough epidemic had put everyone on edge, had kept friendships cool and guards high for fear of contagion. But the death of one so young was a shock few could process, Smokewhisper included. He watched her too-small body be carried out to the center of camp and felt nothing but the leafbare cold settle deep in his limbs and heart.

She was still so short, limbs awkward and lanky before she could grow into them. Big paws, big ears, white fur still downy and kitten-like. She hadn't even completed a moon of training before it was cut short. In the frigid moonlight, Smokewhisper watched over her. He kept vigil by her side all night.

Tansypaw died three weeks later. She and her sister were the only fatalities.

With his second and last daughter's death came the thaw. The cold weather melted away, and with it, so too did the ice around Smokewhisper's heart. The numbness in his limbs snapped and faded and gave way to pain, pain he could not see an end to. He could not handle another round of condolences, another funeral, another daughter dead at his paws. He sat vigil that night, head bowed and body trembling, and did not listen to his Clanmates as they said goodbye to Tansypaw.

In the morning, he carried her body out to her final resting place and began the burial. The moon shone brightly on the cloudless dawn horizon, and shining above, two new stars had joined the cosmic dance of Silverpelt.

okay okay so- imma talk about the ones in the picture and the clan they belong to!!

basically, their clan is called pastureclan, which is right beside a farm (which is why theres a fence in the background of the drawing). its a... really small clan, with only about 15-20 members in it. most of them were loners, rogues, and kittypets who decided to pull a warriorclan and form their own, making hare, a tawny tabby, the leader. the deputy is a pure black she-cat named spiderears and she was a loner before joining. the medicine cat is a tuxedo cat named cowrunner and her apprentice is a ginger tabby tom named mantispaw. the clan only has two elders, who used to also live in the same barn harestar did. they had known a couple who went by the names cotton and sun who travelled for quite a long time before settling down in pastureclan and had their only litter: lizardkit and rosekit. during their travels, theyd relay messages to harestar, letting them know about any nearby clans- or colonies as they called them. thats how they learned about the nearby clan named oasisclan, which was lead by their leader dewstar. nearby cats began to learn about pastureclan and started to join, some even bringing fellow strays with them. snaketuft and tulipbush, two of the newer warriors, brought a pair of kittens they had found. it was obvious that the two werent related, but as theyd grow older, theyd see eachother as siblings anyways. that was how roachpaw and milkpaw were introduced to the small, but growing clan. then one day, a pregnant she-cat who went by the name snailfin, hurried into their camp distressed and in pain. she had been banished from oasisclan for seeing a cat from their rival clan, chasmclan. she had been wandering for days, so pastureclan allowed her to stay and have her kits. sadly, the majority of the litter had passed away except for one kit: ferretkit. soon enough, the five kits began to bond, not finding any interest in befriending mantispaw since he was a lot older than them, already being the age of a warrior by the time they became apprentices. over time, they grew older and closer, milkpaw taking an interest in rosepaw and lizardpaw taking an interest in roachpaw. sadly, he wouldnt be able to voice his feelings because one day while ferretpaw and roachpaw were out on patrol together, having begged harestar and their mentors to let them go alone, they were attacked by a fox. it ended with ferretpaw becoming heavily scarred, mentally and physically, and roachpaw losing his life. after a while of them being gone, harestar sent tulipbush and whiteflower (the mentors of the two) to go find them and... the sight they witnessed was not a pretty one. they had to basically drag ferretpaws sobbing body away from roachpaws corpse. sunsong was sent to retrieve roachpaws body, which they mourned over for quite a long time. none of the apprentices were the same afterwards, especially since milkpaw ran away from the clan, rosepaw left to become a loner, lizardpaw was kicked out for getting into a fight with a warrior after they mocked roachpaws death, and ferretpaw was left alone with no friends and no comfort. their days of fun and laughter had ended just liek that. milkpaw travelled for a long time after, slowly growing to despise the clans and especially starclan for taking such a young cat away from them. during one night while she was trying to find a place to sleep, she bumped into a she-cat who went by the names skunkfur and the mistress (she asked milkpaw to call her skunkfur, though). the two began to talk, spending a lot of time together. after a while, around two or three moons after their first meeting, skunkfur brought milkpaw to the city where she introduced her to quite a large group of cats who called themselves the advisery. here is where she’d meet a tom who quite literally crawled out of hell, named diamondcrest.
