i feel like if you had to adapt orv animation would be a better option than a live action because first and foremost yjh can have the yaoifulness he deserves. most important thing. but also like a major part of orv is the clash and divide between fiction and real life within orv as a piece of fiction and how the line blurs and how the two slowly lose distinction within the orv universe over time but also how everything sorta like flips in the end and like orv as a piece of fiction manages to pull in real life from real life not orv. you know. and i feel like you really need a clearly fictional and disbelief suspensiony medium to do that. i feel like a live action wouldn't be able to do it justice. and of course yoo joonghyuk's yaoifulness

#still i don't think that an anime would be able to capture it properly. that's mostly just me being like an orv purist though sorry guys #i just think that webnovel is like the prime form for orv to be consumed. throughout all the blurring lines everything starts and ends #with text on a phone screen. manhwa is like a close second but i feel like something will be lost once the intent changes from phone to tv #but again i'm just pretentious about orv. sorry

I'm reading the manhwa "I will die soon," and it leaves you with the feeling like you've made a long and difficult trip and finally returned back home

#guess I'm just into the concept of death :/#this is the manhwa i feel really weird about. but not indifferent #i usually can tell when the art is South Korean #it is extremely depressive and yet the author still keeps going for their own unknown inner reasons they don't fully realise #tbh the more i read manhwas the more i realise I'd rather not live in South Korea #their mentality is kinda scary #it's like... well yk how Lithuanians like to joke about their suicide rate? but in fact it's only jokes #Koreans don't joke about it but you can feel through the screen they perceive death not like other people #actually it's somehow close to how Ukrainian soldiers perceive death. but still not quite. it's scary #and it makes me think... if Koreans tend to perceive death like this... what the hell is going on there?#just some thoughts

Kickstarted my whole manhwa obsession. Damn ads really do work. Good job I guess, Manta Comics marketing team. Also, I’ve read way way far into the novel so my hype for this series is super high even though the manhwa is literally still at the very beginning. I’ve even read most of the extra prequel novel from the ML’s POV

Summary I know too much of the storyline it’s hard to summarise this one but OMG it’s not an isekai (for once). The romance is the main selling point but honestly the plot, especially the battles in the future are really interesting. So our sweet summer child Maxi has a trash family who kept her locked away due to her stuttering and married her off to a knight so that he could fight the war for their family. And after 3 years they finally reunite. Ya boy looks scary but is just a big simp for Maxi. Sadly, instead of being able to live happily ever after, there’s a lot of fighting because monsters exist and lots of trash people do a lot of trash things.

Tropes - seggs - just throw this whole family away - g*ddamn is there a lot of war/fighting - this art is too beautiful my eyeballs are not worthy - this is just an arranged marriage he/she would never love me

Rating: Loved this so much I spent real life money it’s the whole reason I started paying for a Manta Comics monthly subscription. Status (as of 4 June 2022) It’s literally just getting started. Honestly right now I would recommend either stopping at the end of S1 or waiting til it gets to about 60-80 episodes before reading. Because there’s going to be SO MUCH in the future.
