Between pairings amidst the Holy Quintet that aren't the main ones (I.E Homura x Madoka and Kyoko x Sayaka), which do you think are the easiest to believably work, and which are the hardest to make work without it seeming like both characters aren't themselves?
Easiest would be KyoMami and MadoSaya, as they're the ones with established history before the show.
After that is MadoMami and KyoHomu, as Madoka and Mami definitely had that spark and Kyoko is the only other magical girl that Homura consistently held respect for.
After that is KyoMado, which is my favorite crack ship of the main five (favorite crack ship in general is still HitoMami), as they clicked very quickly and their chemistry was adorable, but realistically they had more Big Sister/Little Sister vibes. Following that is MamiSaya, which did have a lot of mutual respect and admiration (especially in Magia Record), but doesn't have the same one-on-one dynamic as the others.
Then at the bottom are the antagonistic ships. HomuSaya is definitely the "hatesex" ship, given how much they beef, but Archangel Sayaka did gain a lot of sympathy for Homura, so there's something there, even if it's not much. And MamiHomu is the one I just don't see happening, especially since their rivalry is more dismissive rather than fixated. Buuuut there was that gun fight. And that ribbon thing. And I did read a cute but angsty fic Wraith Arc fic that made a surprisingly compelling case for them. But realistically I still think HomuMami is the least likely.

Ship you fell in love with at first sight: MamiHomu
There was this palpable tension in their interaction at the end of episode 1 that made me squee
Ship that you didn't like at first but like now: Hitosuke
Looking back, they're just kids who are bad at communicating to their friends. Their friendship with Sayaka could have survived a love triangle in other circumstances.
Ship that you used to like but now you dont: KyouSaya
I technically still like KyouSaya. It's just my least favorite ship in the quintet.
Favorite popular ship: HomuMado
Do I even need to say anything?
Favorite rarepair: KyouMado
The respect these two ended up nurturing over the course of episode 9 made me really want to see them interact more.
Favorite controversial ship: HomuSaya
I've said before that I love the mutual antagonism between these two. They hate each other deeply, yet they also care for each other just enough that they can't hate entirely
Ship that you want to become canon the most: KyouHomu
I liked their dynamic as reluctant allies in the series and confidants in Rebellion. They understand each other in a way the others don't. Also I didn't color Homura's eyes. Oops.
Comfort ship: MadoSaya
These two are just so cute, I can't~!
Ship that deserves more attention: KyouMami
The Different Story manga made me feel for these two in a way the series wasn't able to. There's affection and admiration, as well as lingering regret in their partnership that fell apart.
