my theory for post-27 is that something/someone will save Arthur (hopefully not larson) or we get that John in control arc i dunno (that would be cool)
Basically, I’m fixated on the whispers Arthur heard when he got his brain connected to the creature hivemind thing for a few seconds, which sounded like advice on killing the thing.
Given that happened after the episode’s last choice was made, I feel that maybe the addison arc isn’t over just yet (although pumped for when the dark world does happen, regardless of if I’m wrong here)

re: arthurs mental state/poor choices/etc, i think its also important to note that he apparently aint ate anything since a leg in prison and had barely any more water. he was literally starved. he probably has like. scurvy and is maybe two steps from falling unconscious from hypoglycemia. i start fantasizing about murder if my lunch break gets delayed by an hour, if i was in arthurs place id be acting evil too.
yes!!! believe me dear anon there is not a day that goes by where i do not think about the fact that arthur has not had actual human food (ie not mystery meat or raw human flesh) since the canned peaches at frank's dreamlands apartment. my guy is currently running on fumes and spite alone and i want so badly to sit him down with some soup and water and an orange and a nice fuzzy blanket 💕 the embodiment of 'you're not you when you're hungry' ahdjfkal

Malevolent being a kind of choose your own adventure makes the whole podcast listening experience so much better even if I wasn't there for the vote. like each time there's a decision I'm just like "patreon voters...you know the right decision, I believe in you 🙏"

Malevolent Mischief is open for invites!
Finally able to announce the server called Malevolent Mischief! It's a creative based server that is centered around discussing anything from the show in detail to writing and art works with other creatives interested in the series, branching from the Malevolent Big Bang! We also provide image IDs to be accessible to the best of our abilities to the visually impaired. There's sprint channels for writers, spaces to discuss WIPs for art and writing, as well as NSFW/Dead Dove sections for those who enjoy the darker side of Malevolent (they are also easily ignored)!
That said, due to the nature of the show, the server is 18+ only! Before being invited to the server, please let us know that you are at least 18 to receive an invite.
Below are the rules that the server runs by. If you agree with the rules, please feel free to DM @shadow0haven (myself) or @bluejayblueskies for an invite!
Here are the general rules for the Malevolent Mischief server!
1. ***No bigotry.*** Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, aphobia, antisemitism, identity policing, and so on will not be tolerated.
2. ***Respect your peers.*** Be kind and courteous! Respect others' boundaries, interpretations, ideas, and preferences. This server is 18+ and all members are expected to interact and respect each other on an adult level and take responsibility for their actions and behavior.
3. ***Keep conversations in appropriate channels.*** Certain channels are used for certain things: beta search should be used for beta search purposes, off-topic-media for other shows/fandoms etc, and so on. NSFW and Dead Dove content needs to stay in channels labeled NSFW and Dead Dove to respect boundaries. Please check channel descriptions for help on what's appropriate and where!
4. ***Outside drama is not welcome.*** This includes drama from other fandoms/discords, chatting about fans outside this server, etc. Discourse topics should be left out of this server and kept to personal DMs.
5. ***No parasocial nonsense.*** Talking about the creator in the context of the show and its creation is welcome, but please avoid personal discussion revolving around the creator (example: sexuality, morality, personal relationships, etc).

dangerous weirdo with questionable motives??? I dig my teeth into that, could you spare me some facts about the kestrel, please?
lol It's so hard to talk about the Kestrel without giving a lot away. I mean, it's not earthshaking spoiler territory but it's sort of something you need to learn with the MC.
So I'll stick to some of the vague, bare minimum stuff. I go a little deeper into motives/what they're doing in the first short I wrote for them on Patreon. It's a really short short, but I actually give quite a bit away about them.
The Kestrel is a servant of a higher power (not a god or anything, just someone very powerful). They've lived for a very long time, so most everything about humans and life in general has started to bore them.
As for their power, I describe them as a dreamwalker on the itchio profile. I'm sure that's at least partially self explanatory, but: the Kestrel can affect and manipulate someone's dreams while they sleep and effectively 'spy' on someone through their dreams. It's on a whole different scale than R, who was sort of doing that but the MC can quickly break R's hold. Breaking Kestrel's control would be very different and way more difficult, as Kestrel is strong enough to hold someone in a dream indefinitely. (R dabbles in it as a branch of their other powers while Kestrel was born to it.)
They are not necessarily 'malevolent', though at the same time typical human morality really doesn't apply to them at all. They just don't see things the way we do (that's a race/culture thing for their people, not just Kestrel).
And they have maybe some stalking vibes with the MC.
And maybe they know about the MC's childhood.

I first joined Malevolent's patreon because I wanted to support the podcast and I couldn't wait for the next episode, and that alone would have been worth the money! I didn't even want to vote, because I saw poll results as "spoilers" and I love how the show keeps me guessing. But then I started poking at the poll discussions and everybody is so smart, light-hearted and fun. The extras put a smile on my face, and every week I get my dose of endorphin, just like the doctor prescribed. I don't know what I'll do when Arthur and John's adventures come to an end. I'm very grateful to Harlan for sharing his world with us, and all those who support him and make this podcast possible.

Its 2AM and I can't sleep so let's do a very early #AudioDramaSunday, shall we? As I said earlier this week it was a bad week at Day JobTM and that meant leaning very heavily into my TMA relisten (but still listening to some Hallowoods as well because Yes)
Aside from that we had new @karenonepercent this week which is just a stunning stunning show. Every bit of it, big and small, leaves a lasting impression in my mind and I absolutely adore the whole thing. Bassey Etim has written one hell of a show, please check it out!
Also new this week is @ethicstownpod episode 3 and yeah. YEAH! I hate the concept of the trolley problem but my gods does Louis employ it in the most incredible way. Also Rhy Lawton's performance as January? To die for. I would kill and die for January
