Okay but like isnt it cool how Malcolm McDuck is quite literally just Scrooge if he wasnt greedy

Malcolm lives a few centuries before Scrooge, but you can still see similarities in the paths they take. If Scrooge had decided to stay at sea (which he had many opportunities for) he wouldve pretty much just turned out as his ancestor. But Scrooge wanted more. He didnt want to have a stable income, he wanted to be rich.

But Malcolm is fine with having little money. Hes just vibin. He is truly just there for the adventure and not for the treasure. It makes sense for him as Scrooge in his previous life (still no idea what that is supposed to mean exactly tbh lol).

Also why you should never make Scrooge not greedy. It would just turn him into a different character.

Duckmber - Don Rosa Tribute - McDuck Family (McDuck Clan) - Little Scrooge with his family - The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck

Yes, I drew related to Don Rosa comics and one of the best comic collection called The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck which I recommend everyone to read. And found inspiration in the comic "The Last of the Clan McDuck" by Don Rosa from 1992. This is a redraw of a photo of the McDuck family drawn by Don Rosa, and you can view it in a larger resolution here: https://www.deviantart.com/soercling-hemstaer/art/The-McDuck-Clan-Don-Rosa-101158407

In a photograph from 1877, that is, in my drawing, Scrooge is seen as a ten-year-old with his little sisters Matilda and Hortense (Hortense is a baby and a thumb sucker), with his father Fergus McDuck in the middle, his mother Downy McDuck (O'Drake), by his uncle Jake McDuck and second uncle Pothole Angus McDuck (that duck in the yellow jacket). And they all contributed to Scrooge's development as well as his change in life. Yes, that's when Scrooge was cleaning his shoes and got his first coin. And there are portraits of Scrooge's ancestors such as Sir Quackly McDuck (from the 11th century), Malcolm McDuck (from the 16th century) and Seafoam Hugh McDuck (from the 18th century), as the main representatives of the McDuck clan. Yes, I wanted to add others, but unfortunately not all of them would fit on one drawing. Sorry about that.

Now back with the 7th and 8th sets! 😁😁

This could be last featuring well-known Rosa and Barks characters so expect some potraits in future to be of obscure(kind of) characters. Again, if you're not familiar with some characters, keep reading 😊

For the 7th set, which just includes Scrooge's ancestors, we have:

1.) Sir Roast McDuck(1159-1205) - succeeded his father, Stuft McDuck, as clan chief, at which point Clan McDuck was one of the richest clans in Scotland, though that didn't last long.

2.) Hugh "Seafoam" McDuck(1710-1776) - was a McDuck ancestor who settled in Glasgow in 1727. Hugh turned to the sea for a living and became a successful merchant, though that didn't last long too.

3.) Sir Swamphole McDuck(1190-1260) - succeeded his father Roast McDuck as clan chief and inherited the clan's financial problems. Believed to have sealed the castle dungeons due to that.

4.) Sir Stuft McDuck(1110-1175) - was a successful chief of Clan McDuck who oversaw a period of prosperity.

5.) Sir Eider McDuck(880-946) - was the chief of Clan McDuck during an Anglo-Saxon invasion in 946.

6.) Malcolm "Matey" McDuck(1530-1564?) - was a McDuck ancestor who settled in England and is suggested to be a previous incarnation of Scrooge McDuck.

7.) Sir Quackly McDuck(1010-1057) - was clan chief when King Macbeth was killed in 1057. Quackly's ghost was an important figure in Scrooge's life.

8.) Sir Simon McDuck(1437-1509) - was the treasurer of the Knights Templar and hid their treasure beneath McDuck Castle.

— Sir Simon McDuck is a creation of Don Rosa and is featured in his story, "A Letter From Home"(2004). All others were created by Carl Barks, though some of them didn't made any physical appearances till Don Rosa.

For the 6th set, we have:

1.)-3.) Huey, Dewey, Louie - Donald's nephews, Della's triplets.

4.) Cornelius Coot - Elvira's grandfather, the founder of Duckburg.

5.)-7.) April, May, June - Daisy's nieces.

8.) Pintail Duck - Donald's ancestor, a companion of Malcolm McDuck.

— Huey, Dewey, Louie are characters made by Ted Osborne and Al Taliaferro while others are originally made by Carl Barks.

Note : Some of the portraits here were previously used in my other tree though if you look closely, there's some differences. It is because I've changed it a bit. There's a chance that I might do it again which means that the portraits here are not the final version.

McDuck Dodgers AU

The McDuck-Starling family!

This family includes: S. Malcolm McDuck and his husband Jim Starling, as well as their kids Regina McDuck and Dean Starling.

Regina Samantha "Sam" McDuck: born with the aid of a surrogate mother, obviously using Scotty's sample, four years before the start of the series

Dean Malcolm Starling: born with the aid of the same surrogate mother as Regina (so they would be blood siblings), although this time with Jim's sample, just before the start of the series.

The Story

Malcolm tried to stop Della from taking the Spear of Selene. That went about as well as you'd expect. With Della - a pilot - not listening to Malcolm - an astronaut - as Scrooge urged Della to fly thus ignoring his son who was trying to avoid the storm.. and it ended in 5 kids losing a parent that night.

Jim raised Regina and Jim mostly by himself, allowing the two to see their family of course.

During the series, Regina and Dean sometimes stay with Scrooge while Jim is working on small time acting gigs to earn money.

Skipping ahead to "Last Crash Of The Sun Chaser!", Regina calls out Scrooge as well and plays the recording she took of the recording from the Spear. The two didn't come back until after Shadow War.

Obviously, "Nothing Can Stop Della Duck!" was a reunion and meet up for the McDuck-Starling family.

^ the original idea was that he was a clone of both ducks, but I decided on a more realistic route which I them applied to Regina (the mother I talked about in her introduction post is now the surrogate mother for both of them)^

The eyes of NegaDuck and fang will be mainstays to his character going forward.))

This family tree is mine and Kight Maiden's version of the Donald Duck family tree

Now let me explain somethings about our tree

Ok first off it dose have Sir Roast Sir swamphole Sir stuft seafoam malcolm "matey" Sir Quackly and Sir Eider McDuck and Bo'sn are in the tree but there timeline is a little confusing

And Quagmire is still Dirty Dingus Brother But there wasn't room and we might make a separate tree for the McDucks starting with Dirty Dingus and go back frome there

Second here's all the characters and there birth year (and explanation why we choose it)

Huey Dewey and Louie: 2006 cuz it's set in 2017 and 11 years before 2017 is 2006

Donald and Della: 1981 because they're 36

The boys dad: because why not make him a year older then della

Daisy: same reason with the boys's dad . Why make not make her a year younger

Hortenes: we made it to where downy had her after she was cursed so that's why she is a lot younger than Scrooge

Quackmore: mainly because I like him being young then Hortenes because you don't really see that alot

Matilda: we liked her being the youngest out of the siblings

Scrooge: since you seen him in a comic when he was a kid and the comic took place in 1877 we just went ahead and used that and made his birth year 1867 and said he was 10 in that comic

Goldie: we like the idea of Goldie being born in that year and how we make it to where she is technically immortal and she was cursed and encased in gold and after she freed herself from the gold the curse was never broken and and she got an amulet that made her stop aging completely (or whatever was the cause of her immortality in the show)

Dawson: when she was a baby she was encased in gold with her mom and after Goldie got out of the gold she couldn't get her daughter out of it so she had to leave her that's why she's technically was over 100 years old (obviously not her real name but we think it fits her)

Dickies dad: we just like it for him

Dickie: we just like that year for her because we wanted to make her technically an adult

Ludwig: the sole reason we made him born that year is because of what gyro said in the final episode

Daphne: we don't really have a reason besides wanting her and her brothers be close in age

Goostave: he just seemed like he would be older that them

Gladstone: we just wanted to make him a year younger than the twins because he seems like he would be

Eider: we wanted to make him and Quackmore Irish twins (which means they were within 12 months of each other)

Lulubelle: we just like the idea of her being two years younger than her husband

Abner/Whitewater: we may or may not wanted him to be an accident

Mary: we just like the idea of her being six years younger than Abner

Fethry: we just like the of him being the second youngest cousin

Dungan: we just thought it was a good year

Gloria: we just like her being older and Fethry would have had a crush on her when he was younger

Elvira: we just felt like it fit

Humperdinck: just felt like it fit

Casey: we liked him being 9 years older than his sister

Gretchen: we liked her being 5 years younger than her husband

Fanny: we just liked it

Luke: same as his wife

Gus:it just seemed right to make him the oldest out of the cousins

Cuthbert: we just like it

Kildare:we liked him being the youngest out of the cousins

Furgus/Old Scotty: we wanted him to be in between

Jake: we just wanted him to be the middle child also side note we wanted him to get called "high society Jack " as a nickname so he wouldn't be the only brother with out a nickname

Angus: he just seemed like he would be the oldest brother

Molly: we just felt like it was a good age specifically for the time she was in

Dirty Dingus: we just like the age for him

Downy O'Drake: we just liked her ages as the youngest of the O' Drake sisters

Rumpus: we wanted him to be older than Scrooge because he is the son of his dad and his mom's oldest sister

Missy: we just wanted her to be fairly older than Downy

Griseldis : we just felt it was a good age for her being the second oldest sister

Vera: we liked it was her being the second youngest sister but still being a little older then downy

Duckson: we like the age for him

Jenny/Jee: we like her age being this

Clinton: we like like being this age for him and we wanted to make him be a lot older than you would think because he was cursed by a treasure that he stumbled upon

Gertrude: we made her an Amazonian woman so we wanted to make it to where she lived a long time

Cornelius: we like it and we felt like it fit pretty well with the timeline

Erasmus: he is one of cornelius's brother in a few things we liked him and decided on him being the oldest brother

Johannes: we like him being the second oldest brother

Jeanne: we based her off Jeanne de clisson and we made her johannes' wife because he was technically murdered by pirates and we felt like that age fit her

Cornelia's Father: we just like the age

Cornelia: we wanted to make her a lot older than what she technically is in that one comic that she was shown in because we wanted to make her one of the first women to be considered a doctor but she worked in duckburg when it first was made

Long story short it's just a lot of we felt like it fit and immortality curses.

Next Gen AU Storyline Sneak Peak: Louie & Lena

Louie & Lena

Louie and Lena are 25 when they have their twins

I would really want them to have a son named Casey, named after Casey Coot

I'm not entirely sure why

I chose the name a while back, when I was writing a story where Louie has a son

And then I would want them to have a daughter named Luna

Named after their ship name, cheesy, I know

It's also a really fitting name

What's Their Story?

They're twins, but they were separated at a young age

Casey was kidnapped by Magica when he was a baby

In this universe, Magica never got her magic ability back in The Phantom and the Sorceress

This drives Magica insane, and she focuses on getting back on the McDuck clan, using a pawn named Malcolm

Malcolm’s character will be explained later

Upon hearing that Louie and Lena are pregnant with twins, she immediately plans to take one one the kids

Louie and Lena tried their best to fend her off, but Magica isn't her usual self, she's calm, calculated, and vengeful

She successfully takes Casey with Malcolm’s help

Louie rounds the family up to search, but Magica is gone, and their son is nowhere to be seen

Louie and Lena are now faced with a tough decision: either tell their remaining daughter (when she is older) that she has a missing brother, or raise her as if she were an only child

They decide on the latter

The twins are now 13:

Lena has trained Luna in the "blue/friendship" form of magic

This means Luna's magic is pure, and powerful

She is still a beginner, though, not nearly as skilled as Lena when she was her age

Magica on the other hand has trained Casey in the dark, amulet, purple form of magic using the talisman, the one that we see Lena use in Season 1

Even though Magica herself isn't a magic being, she is versed in many forms of magic—as she's mentioned herself

She knows Casey would be a natural magical being due to him being Louie and Lena's son, so she began training him from a young age

This makes Casey a lot more skilled than Luna, and Magica's dark magic is a lot stronger than Lena's and Luna's "friendship/blue" magic

The only weakness is that Casey relies on the talisman, whereas Luna can access her magic whenever she needs to

What Abilities Would I Want Them to Have?

Casey:

Inherit his father's sharp eye, though he's not entirely sure why he's so good at reading any situation

He inherits Lena's magic ability, but is trained by Magica

This means that he's trained in dark magic

He's very skilled, as Magica has been training him since the age of 4

He's a lot more skilled than his sister

Luna:

She also inherits Louie's sharp eye

Whenever she and Casey are somehow in the same situation, trying to overcome each other, both are stumped by each other's plans

She inherits Lena's magic ability:

Even though the "blue/friendship magic" isn't as strong as Magica's dark magic, it's still pretty strong

Lena has mastered the art of friendship magic, and works on teaching it to her daughter

Lena begins training Luna at the age of 12, so she has about a year's worth of training

This means she isn't as skilled as her brother, but she’s still a threat

She doesn't depend on an amulet, nor does her magic harm her body

Personality Traits/Notes:

Luna:

Loves to solve mysteries

Like Lena, she is stubborn and short tempered

She likes history about her family

She can be lazy, often finding sharp loopholes out of her mothers various magic lessons

She's a daddy's girl

She doesn't know of Casey's existence

Casey:

Raised by Magica, which means he's not exposed to much affection

Magica expects perfection in all of his magical abilities and skills, so it's made him seek perfection in every aspect of his life

This is because if he slips up, he would be severely punished by Magica

He gets extremely violent and angry if something isn't up to perfection

He is egoistic and self centered, not caring much about other people in his life, except his Aunt Magica

Unlike Luna, he is aware his biological family

Magica convinced him that Louie and Lena "picked" a child, and it wasn't him

Due to this, he despises everyone in the McDuck clan, especially Scrooge, Louie, Lena, and Luna

He is raised, thinking that his destiny is to kill and destroy the McDuck Clan

But he's also inherited Louie's sensitivity, meaning that deep down, he's depressed

Appearance:

Luna:

Luna has bangs shaped like her father’s when he was younger, and has fluffy light hair cascading down her shoulders

She has a natural blue streak in her hair

She is tomboyish

She likes to wear the colour blue, like her Uncle Dewey—she wears a navy, biker style leather jacket over a plain white shirt, with black jeans and black combat boots

Casey:

Is supposed to have a blue streak in his hair, but due to exposure to Magica and her talisman, that streak slowly became a violent shade of purple

He dresses very professionally—Casey wears a black dress sweater over a white collared dress shirt, with black dress pants and dark sneakers

His hair is clipped short, and it resembles Lena’s hair

He wears his purple talisman underneath his dress shirt, making sure nobody can see it

Luna is bisexual

Casey is hetorosexual

i added onto someone else’s bespectacled anime characters appreciation post recently and that got me wondering about how many characters there are who wear glasses all the time in other forms of media, so here’s all bespectacled, fictional, non-anime characters i could think of

It's Scrooge Jr, aka Scotty, and his daughter Regina.

Their full names: Scrooge Malcolm McDuck (Jr.) and Regina Downy McDuck.

EJM and I were talking, and we agreed one last change to Scotty's age should happen. He's older than the Duck Cousins, and a bit older than Gyro by about a month or so (the two are in their late 40s, in our canon).

Scotty is a part-time inventor as well as an astronaut (hence the space ranger shirt). He has an old scar on his beak when he was protecting Gyro from an exploding invention some years back when they were teens.

Scotty and Gyro were both raised by Scrooge, developing a brotherly bond because of their traumas and close ages, Scotty through custody after his mother went missing and Gyro through his parents sudden abandonment of him seemingly out of the blue.

Regina is Scotty's teen daughter. She's smart, but is also your typical teen who likes to have fun and go so teen things when she isn't inventing. Her mother, Scotty's at-the-time girlfriend, didn't want her. Scotty did. So they split, with Scotty having full parental rights of Regina.
