#splatoon#coroika#vintage coroika#vintage#lizzy does art#SO I READ THE SPLATOON MANGA COS IT WAS AVAILABLE AT MY LIBRARY...#and i had like the lowest expectations for it bc i know im not the target audience#but coroika is full of all sorts of sillies and fun and i think that's what made it so enjoyable for me...#really ended up latching onto vintage... his arc was a ton of fun i liked his vague backstory with skull when they used 2 be team purple#but also coroika has soo many lovely charas i would love to draw the others at some point i got really attached to them ^.^#thank you vintage for giving me more of an excuse to draw and practice splatoon. i have a whole page in my sketchbook dedicated to the-#ballpoint splatling and learning how to draw it. he has great taste in weapons. ballpoint in my top 3 personal fave weapons. love him.#drawing this was very much a breath of fresh air for me ^^ splatoon teaches me many things and that makes me happy!!

Been liking your Dungeon Meshi manga panel colorings a lot, keep up the good work!
There seems to be a texture to your colors, is that from a specific tool you use or is it the manga panels themselves that have the texture already?
Thank you, I am glad you like them!
I make all of my manga colorings on ibisPaint X which is an app like Photoshop, so the texture comes from two noise overlays at different levels of fuzziness, one below the colors and one above.
Recently I have also been experimenting with adding dotted/diagonal screentone overlays to get a more vintage, printed feel.
This is what my recent colorings look like with and without texture overlays ~
I really like the look and feel of vintage comics and prints, so I use texture in my digital colorings to try and replicate that gritty, rough feeling of physical paper. I started doing it with my first few manga colorings [which at the time were from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Demon Slayer] and it kind of stuck and has since become my signature style since. Whether they look better with or without texture is up to personal preference but I think it adds a lot of dimension to the otherwise flat colors.

i miss. the vibes of the rpc a few years back

totk is very fun dont get me wrong but i do feel like when they leaned into the "everyones being creative so lets have them make insane contraptions" thing they went so far into it that it reduced what originally made that part of botw so interesting— that these solutions were fully unintended and creative for having broken the game

Idk why I thought the new year would suddenly bring immense change to me as a person, it was such a childish belief, I can’t believe I let myself fall for it. The years go by but I remain the messed up anxious wreck who starts crying the second she’s left alone with her thoughts. The new year won’t change anything, nothing will
#just look at me#I could very possibly graduate from school in half a year and I still don’t know what I want to do with my life#I can’t take the slightest bit of criticism or else I’ll feel like shit for a week#I need to be staring at a screen at all hours of the day because if I don’t distract myself I will break down#I’m so obsessed with pleasing people that when I can’t fulfill the simplest of requests I want to die#indulging in hobbies. things that are supposed to be enjoyable. feels like hell for me#through all my years of creating there is only one piece I can honestly say I like and am proud of#and I haven’t even touched writing since because I’m scared of not being able to reach that high again#art comes a little easier but I’m only capable of one or two pieces a month#I don’t have anyone irl whom I trust. I’m so lonely that I literally have imaginary friends. at 17#and I still haven’t figured out my gender or what pronouns I prefer. I don’t even like the name I picked for myself#I could go on forever#I don’t know how anyone puts up with me. I know I wouldn’t if I had the choice#I keep going on and on about how I want to get better. I don’t want to be so miserable all the time#but I just don’t know how#I try to be kinder with myself and I’ve been pretty successful at it but.. it doesn’t help#I can be soft and gentle all I want. it won’t make everything else go away#so there’s nothing left for me to do but cry all alone in my apartment at 2 a.m#I guess

Going to look at a couple apartments tomorrow and the next day... the anxiety is setting in

for a while ive sort of longed to be one of those girls thats gorgeous in a very messy way but upon realizing that i am actually that, my perspective on it has changed. i did try to embody it for years, but it turns out that you dont actually get that effortlessly, artistically frazzled look unless you live an actual frazzled life. and i like my frazzled busy life!

i finished twelfth night. 25 out of 38 shakespeare plays completed.
#after finally reading othello and twelfth night in the past 10 days im not sure which are the most famous plays i still havent read#bc like ive mentioned previously ive always read the plays in arbitrary order. whatever piqued my interest#hence why i read the henry vi plays relatively early on. or some of the more obscure comedies#but lately since i past the halfway mark this year some of the more talked-about ones im like 'geez i should just get to that one already'#not that that makes me enjoy it any less. i think i mentioned that in my post i made while reading othello#i fucking loved othello. that shit was 10/10 although i very much was reading it bc i felt like i had to at that point.#doesnt mean i wouldnt love it. after all i only read shakespeare bc i love shakespeare! not bc theres a gun to my head#its more like i just want to know what everyone's talking about already#tales from diana#i think at this point the most famous one i still havent read is... much ado about nothing? which isnt THAT famous all things considered#but some of you ppl do seem to be awful crazy about it so ill see#i already knew the plot of twelfth night i had just never read the original. now i have#so i kinda already knew how much enjoyment i could get out of it. some! a good amount!#but i found it a quick read and i wasnt THAT excited about it#the next one i want to read is pericles though. ive read 8 shakespeare plays in 2023 but none have been romances!#i do love the romances. the romances are still the only genre where i havent read more than half of them#ive read 2 out of 5. the tempest and the winter's tale... two of my favorites overall#in a way ive kind of been holding myself back from reading more romances bc i needed to check some of my 'required reading' boxes lol

if anything i’m expecting sonic and shadow to become cousins after rachel presumably adopts the latter
i just think its kinda weird that people are already getting super invested in movie sonadow when we dont know anything about their dynamic at all?? literally what reason is there to ship them or do anything beyond making silly little jokes that theyre gonna be gay or whatever. and we know their dynamic in the games yeah but those are the games, the movies are different and give the characters completely different lives.. for all we know somethings gonna happen that makes it really weird to ship them. hell they already did that with sonknux and thats like the most unproblematic ship ever in every other continuity so sonadow definitely isnt immune to that..
