After and before of a gut- renovation primary ensuite. A dated corner tub was removed and a more reasonable free standing tub takes centre stage. #renovation #transformation #makeovermonday #halifaxdesigner #chesterdesigner #novascotiahomes (at Halifax, Nova Scotia) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpckt5HucFG/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

22/7/22
A much needed blog to keep myself accountable
Goals to achieve by the end of August:
Complete SQL fundamentals track w/DataCamp
Complete, and post, at least two projects (SQL)
Complete PowerBI fundamentals track w/DataCamp
Start Tableau fundamentals track w/DataCamp
Do one MakeoverMonday data visualisation challenge
Confidence & progress so far:
Excel 8/10, just need to learn some basic VBA
SQL 3/10, finished Intro to SQL & Joining Data in SQL. My DataCamp result was intermediate, I don't think I'm anywhere near intermediate yet. I did manage a guided project this week, with some difficulty; this is mostly forgetting silly things like making sure spelling is correct.
PowerBI 0/10, never used
Tableau 0/10, can't remember a thing but I remember it was cute soooo...
R 1/10, can't remember much but not completely scared of it
Python 0/10, send help

#AVATAR ICONATOR HOW TO#
The stories will just be mini, one or two page ones. I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before to anyone, but I am thinking once I wind up this lesson I move on to smaller comics. The manager of the Packers (and someone else) didn't like him. But then, weeks ago, he decided he wasn't retiring! Nope! He was coming back to play football, presumably with the Packers! Well, good. He was getting kinda old for a foot ball player. It was very emotional for all cheeseheads involved, but it was a respected decision. He was the Packers star player for years, but he retired last spring. Oooh, here's a big rant! Remember Brett Favre? Of course you do. But no one has any sympathy for me in THAT department.Īnd marching season is starting soon. Last, I have a giant stack of books to read. Then! Then! There is summer homework for Kez, which I still haven't finished, despite the fact that school starts in less than a week. This means my parents want me to do all sorts of errands for them. But this summer has been very distracting! It's not (entirely) my fault!įirst of all, I got a job.

In it he shows how to build a unit directly from Tableau when you already have an ID column. You can check the result above:īONUS: If you would like more advanced guidance in creating unit charts, I would recommend this post from Chris Love. All those things done, I opened my new file in Tableau and generated my column shaped as coins. The final part was to out put the data as a Tableau Data Extract (tde.) file. REMEMBER: the IF condition in Alteryx ends with an ENDIF (and not only with an END like in Tableau). To do that, I created a formula defining that IF (RowCount) a new Column called “Coins” (to store the strings “US” and “Rest of the World”), and.STEP THREE: Assigning which rows are “US” and which are the “Rest of The World” Now all I need to do is to drag and drop the “Generate Rows” toll and instruct it to transform the number (20) into rows. Instead of inputting data, I used the “Input Text” tool and created a value of 20, that is the number of rows I would like to create on my viz (Each one of the rows is one coin in the final visualisation). How to create a unit chart in Alteryx? STEP ONE: Generating a value that you will use after to create the rows So I did all the Alteryx process again and created a new file, more realistic, with only 20 rows (that turned into 20 coins). My initial plan was to create a column made of 100 coins and colour them to represent US and the “Rest of the World”.Īs you can check in the following image, I changed my mind in the middle of the process when I realised that I was crazy when I thought that representing 100 coins in a column could be a great idea. Yes, ONLY TWO RECORDS! The first one with the debt of US and the other with the debt of the “Rest of the World”. I came up with this idea because the dataset Andy Kriebel chose had only two records. However, Chris suggested to use Alteryx to make it easier to create what I would like: a unit chart to visualise the data. Today we had Chris Love (Alteryx Ace and Tableau Zen Master) with us all day teaching how to use Alteryx to prepare the data before creating visualisations in Tableau.Īs today was also #MakeOverMonday I decided to do both things at the same time: to learn a little bit more about Alteryx and to create my #MakeOverMonday about the American debit.īefore coming up with this idea of combining both things, I was trying to do all the steps in Tableau. In this tutorial, I will show how I generated a unit chart using Alteryx Tableau doesn’t come with an automated option to create unit charts (or pictograms), but it doesn’t mean that it is impossible to generate one.

The final part was to out put the data as a Tableau Data Extract (tde.) file. REMEMBER: the IF condition in Alteryx ends with an ENDIF (and not only with an END like in Tableau). To do that, I created a formula defining that IF (RowCount) this case, I need seven rows corresponding to “US” and the remaining filled as “Rest of the World”. That will make it easier to colour the coins after in Tableau. (Statistics, forgive me but I rounded up the value to avoid a half-painted coin). Determine which rows should be filled as “US” and which should be filled as the “Rest of the World”.Generate a new Column called “Coins” (to store the strings “US” and “Rest of the World”), and.STEP THREE: Assigning which rows are “US” and which are the “Rest of The World” Now all I need to do is to drag and drop the “Generate Rows” toll and instruct it to transform the number (20) into rows. In this tutorial, I will show how I generated a unit chart using Alteryx " Oedipus Rex" is a classic, but the original " Planet of the Apes" is truly iconic.Īn individual who is known for their authentic personality and individual aesthetic.Tableau doesn’t come with an automated option to create unit charts (or pictograms), but it doesn’t mean that it is impossible to generate one. As such they are now well-established and widely celebrated in popular culture. Similar to "classic," iconic is generally restricted to more recent, highly original, influential, or unique, works of art, artists, or performers. Something that stands out in a beautiful, iconic way slaying at the game Being a queen legend “Did you see Emilia Fart’s new video?” Random person: wow i’m so jealous of her iconicness Girl: “Omg yass shister this is so iconic slayyy”įriend: “ Trisha Paytas eating Chick-fil-A is literally such a mood though we love an iconic sister”īlackstar圆#6506 Anyone in the Dark Warriors “DANG, STAR OUT HERE BEIN ICONIC”Įxplaining how iconic a situation and/or person is me: *does something iconic* Typically said by girls who have a tumblr account and think themselves as ‘quirky’ or ‘unique’ to the majority of women but are actually irritating as fuck *watches James Charles collab with another YouTuber* Gained popularity from various people such as Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star and James Charles. Yet another word annoying fangirls have ruined when commenting it on their favourite YouTuber’s newest video or Instagram photo. An adjective: the presence of someone or something being iconic Remember teen beach movie? Ugh iconance✨
