Kinda weird question- do you have any links to people talking about Mira from ZTD and ableist stereotypes? I mentioned that I was uncomfortable with her portrayal but kinda fumbled it and made some other ND people in chat uncomfortable. I searched for various keyword combinations but most of what I'm finding is like "and not to mention the ableism with Mira" and doesn't elaborate lol.

Not weird at all! And uh, you see, there's a recent post I made where what I complain about is the very fact I've never seen anyone post too in-depth about her at all, I'd love to see posts that do elaborate on that but I do not have any that I know of right now, sorry :/ hopefully someone else who sees this can point to one? Okay!! After some tag searches I have found exactly one post who kind of gets into it I like this take still would love to see. more than just one but hooray

And like though I complain I couldn't elaborate much on it myself I don't think, I believe most of the posts people make about Saito from aitsf would apply since it's a different uchikoshi take on the very same trope of "emotionless characters who cannot function without killing others" I guess he's a worse portrayal though since she's at least not stated to get reward brain chemicals when killing people and I guess her case also has the added layer of "femme fatale" to it? Which either makes it less bad or worse depending on where you approach it from As I said I am not doing a good job of being coherent on this oh and also there's her being "redeemed" and "cured" in the epilogue which in on itself is kinda not great to imply it just goes away like that and honestly I personally don't even buy it I think she'd just be like oh okay Akane over here has like a thousand reasons to hate me after all that oh and what's that she's the leader of a super wealthy underground organization who's organized one of these death traps before yeah no I'm better off going to prison I'll be fine there lmao bye

But I'll say as an autistic person with relatively low empathy I usually see a character who just doesn't understand other people's feelings and wants to feel them too and is just trying to survive despite getting no help and I just kinda go hm. yeah. shout-out to roxas kingdom hearts shout out to mary from ib shout out that's why I started hyperfixating on media art helps me with understanding others a great lot and Mira is just in a story too badly executed for me to care or even begin to wrap my head around tbh like god she's so fucking terribly used as a plot device in every conceivable way that it makes it difficult to see past it and into what she could possibly be if it weren't for the stereotype of equalling low empathy with no compassion what's with her killing off screen in ways that wildly deviate from her stated m.o? why or how was she even in cahoots with Zero why was that a thing? Honestly her dynamic with Sean could have been better fleshed out could have done something interesting about robot child and his aspd big sis but we just kind of don't get any attention brought to the subject of emotions and the authenticity there of except for the "reveal"...

YOU KNOW WHAT that's probably one huge reason it feels so fucked up actually! Like the whole fucking game is written so you could experience it in whatever order you want and therefore Mira being a serial killer at all is something that though not very well hidden it also cannot be a topic of discussion or explored Ever ever because the player may not have seen the fragment where that is revealed yet- problem being the menu design of that game sucks so bad and practically everyone gravitates towards the same few more interesting looking thumbnails first and then the rest is kinda just there, I mean that is part of the reason A Lot of characters feel half-baked I think but also I think it definitely does impact perception of her character specifically probably The Most and then there's just the general not being given nuance not being able to see the minutiae of how that disorder manifests in her character aside from the killings about how she acts aside from being overly flirty trying to lure in Eric but that affects pretty much all of the new cast we don't have last names and in her case we barely have any backstory at all like Saito is a harmful stereotype sure but we get So Much Context for him that people still love talking about him and delving into different aspects of his life since we have that very well telegraphed in the narrative meanwhile for Mira all we can do is fill in the blanks guesswork that only highlights the worst aspects of the surface level portrayal we got and ultimately that people just don't care enough to dissect because there isn't much there character wise once you remove it

#Cricket chirping #This can be about anything but I'm abt to rant abt the ao3 situation in the tags #Feel free to ignore me lol #I don't side with people who think there shouldn't be any censorship on the site bc so many are racist somewhat and also are proshits #But I don't side with people who hate ao3 bc so many of them are so accusatory of literally everything #Everyone is so angry and refuses to listen to each other #I use ao3. I think it's a good fanfic site and I like a lot of the content on there #I also think that there should be some proper moderating over the site bc there's disgusting shit on there #I get why the mods of ao3 are hesitant to do any proper moderation. The last time fanfic sites got regulations they ended up dying in a wee #in a week and losing so much content bc things were getting wrongly marked #and another thing is that if certain tags are banned it will actually make it HARDER to avoid that content bc the ppl writing it will just #Leave it untagged or won't give any warning that that's what their content is about #To avoid getting it taken down #I think there should be like. A report function or smth that can get whatever fic it is sent to actual people so they can review it and mak #make sure that it it is in fact something horribly offensive that should be removed #though the problem with that is that the kids are human people and it won't work all the time #Idk. I have solidified S/I’s Fu//ture Fou//ndation design, and I have made the executive decision she will be a hashtag girlboss queen in heels - putting her height up to around 181cm (5′11″)

#I mean she still isn't as tall as 'Kuya - especially after his boost in height #(about 194ish for reference - I rant on about it below)#in the original design sheet for Yasu//hiro; Ao//i ; To//ko ; and Mako//to in the Fu//ture Fou//ndation... they all have a height boost of -#- 5cm from T//HH #Ya//suhiro goes from 180 -185 ; Ao//i and Mak//oto from 160 - 165 #and honestly I cannot remember To//ko's original height but I am sure it follows that trend #so it's only logical to say 'Kuya went from 185 to 190 at least - though he looks more like 194 LMAO #in S/I's universe he is 194 by his 20s (Future Arc) and 185 at 16 (since their recorded heights would HAVE to be that to stop suspicion -#- of the missing memories. Kir//igiri even makes a note of that).#So I am pretty damn sure he would have grown a few inches between 16/17 (admission to H//P)#and 19 - the K//G.#Personally - I put him at 190 - 192 around that time but that's a Freya thing #SORRY THIS IS MEGA DUMB LOL

i have this fascination with price. hes sort of this unsulliable steel, consistently to nearly always making the (as the games frame it) correct decisions, even when hes playing fast and loose with the law. his plans always work, hes never truly failed in the sense of real negative consequences for a choice (until 3 but 3 was badly written and i did not like it). hes always (in the game's framing) right. he never shows a moment of weakness. i love him ❤ i want to see him suffer i want him to make an objectively wrong choice. i want that choice to have consequences that shake his steady foundations and rock him to his core. i want him to fail. is that weird? i want him to lose control of his carefully maintained stony exterior. i want to see that side of him that is barely acknowledged to be genuinely explored. i know people justify it by saying hes a military captain in a ridiculously tough branch to get into, so of course hes like that, but in real life those guys are just as human as the rest of us, just as capable of mistakes and taking fat Ls and making poor decisions. I do love his character, he is my blorbo, i just want to put him in a jar and shake him real hard. is that weird?

Deadass, when I heard what happens in mw3 (still haven't gotten around to watching it, I'm fond of my brain cells and I feel like it'll kill some of them)--my first thought was that they should've killed Price.

Price is always barely restraining himself but he manages to keep himself in check for the most part. I imagine he's learned the hard way that if he lets his feelings dictate his actions then a lot of people get hurt.

Gaz and Soap, however, do not have the benefit of his experience. Ghost does, but he doesn't wield authority like Price's, and I have the feeling that he believes the Price keeps him in check (in his origin comics, he has frequent nightmares in which he assaults and murders people, because he went through months of classical conditioning in captivity).

So, let's say Mak shoots Price dead instead. Suddenly there's no one there to guide the surviving 141. Suddenly the wealth of experience he had to offer, the instincts for warfare that he honed over decades, is gone. Gaz loses his mentor. Ghost loses the man who holds his leash. Soap loses the one commanding officer he had any faith in.

Can you feel how that would raise the stakes exponentially? Price's influence, throughout the reboot, has kept everyone in line. He knows how to break the rules effectively while minimizing the consequences. He knows how to ignore distractions. He is ruthlessly efficient, without being brutal. The other three just do not have those skills. They are not capable of doing what Price does. They have neither the experience (in Gaz and Soap's case) nor the disposition (in Ghost's case).

Price dying would send shockwaves through the 141--through the entire cast--in ways that Soap's death just does not. Soap should have been the one in Shepherd's office with a silenced gun, because assassinating a FUCKING FOUR STAR AMERICAN GENERAL IN THE PENTAGON!!!!! Is not what an experienced captain in the SAS would do, no matter how he feels!!!!!! That is what a sergeant with more aptitude than sense and an overwhelming feeling of rage and loss would do!!!!!!

Aaaaand this is a rant nearly completely unrelated to what you were talking about lol. Sorry. I do want to see that old man suffer don't get me wrong. It's just that the suffering he's been set up for now, in canon, is SO MUCH BULLSHIT.

So as you know, Adler isn't the type of guy to get all emotional (Feelings? What are feelings?) but there's no doubt he'd try to be there for you as best he can

He sometimes does stay silent. Mostly because he's just trying to figure out what to say and how to say it but it doesn't take too long for him to come up with something

He's a great listener for sure. You can rant to him about anything and he'll make you feel heard. Hell, he could probably even relate to it.

Phone calls to check up on you are a given -> "Right. I'm coming over. Promise me you won't do anything stupid in the meantime? Be there within the hour, okay?"

You might find yourself crying on the couch and he'd sit beside you. He'd probably place a hand on your thigh and give it a light squeeze as he asks you what's wrong

If you refuse to answer, he'll play some slow songs and pull you up and off the couch and into his arms to slow dance because he knows it'll earn a smile from you. He'll brush a stray piece of hair out the way and look into your eyes, telling you he loves you.

If you're really having a meltdown and you're in a right state, he'll pull you into his body, resting his chin on top of your head as he whispers words of encouragement to you, not caring that his favourite shirt is drenched. -> "That's it, just let it out. You're gonna be okay. I'm here, alright? Shhh. I'm not going anywhere."

If you're in public having a panic attack, he'd notice the signs. The way your watery eyes dart all over the place being hypervigilant of your surroundings, the way you cling to him a little more than usual, how you aren't responding to him, how your breathing is quick and you feel all clammy. It's his job to know.

He'd take you to the side and shield you as he talks you down. Maybe even take your hand and lead you to the public toilets, making sure it's clear to freshen up and have some space and privacy. -> "You ever heard of box breathing, kid?"

He'll take you back to his car for a long drive and offer you tissues and strike up a conversation, your favourite songs playing in the background while you steady your breathing

He'd hold your hands in his to ground you if need be and rub your arms and thighs as you sob violently, staying quiet, looking away and closing his eyes briefly as he hears you. He can't bare to see you like that.

Russell would also cup your face, wiping your tears away with his thumbs as he asks you to look at him and he calms you down with that low, husky voice of his. -> "You'll get through this, okay? Just like you always do. Only this time, you've got me. So let me take care of you."

He's one to always come up with solutions to your problems, no matter what it is

But he's also brutal. No sugarcoating.

I feel like, whereas Adler has more of a way with words and is someone who also gives you comfort through touch, Makarov mostly uses a more materialistic approach but that's not to say he doesn't use touch.

He'd ask if you wanted to go out shopping (retail therapy) where he'd spoil you crazy, letting you buy whatever you want. A dress? Sure. A watch? Of course. A diamond necklace? You got it.

Mak would take you on a helicopter ride for sure during the day or even night, letting you take in the sights.

Makarov may offer to take you out for dinner to your favourite place, getting his goons to make the reservation (or threaten someone to give up their reservation and hold the poor receptionist at gunpoint so you can get a table right there and then).

But don't get me wrong...he'd defo watch your comfort movie with you again, no matter how many times you've watched it. You both just cuddling on the couch with a blanket as he plants kisses on your temple.

He'd crouch down in front of you, rubbing your knees as he asks you what's troubling you. -> "What's got you crying my beloved? What do you need from me?"

He's defo a hand holder so he'll rub your hands and draw circles on your palms and intertwine his fingers with yours. -> "It's okay, my love. Breathe. Just breathe."

This guy loves giving forehead kisses and you can't tell me otherwise. His kisses linger and he rests his forehead against yours for sure as he talks you down.

As you two sleep, he'd be the big spoon, wrapping his arms around your body, keeping you close while he whispers words of praise and how you don't have to worry as he'll always take care of you.

If it's someone who's causing you problems, Makarov goes pew pew and calls it a day.

Dazai is a fun-loving husband. Goofy if anything.

You dated him and supirseingly kept long enough around him to make him want to tie the knot.

Probably calls you belladonna, darling, love, my wifey/hubby.

He goofs around a lot, making to make you laugh. God, he loves making you happy.

He loves your affection and, at any given point, needs to have to be touching you. Literally lives off of your body and affection.

Would let you change his bandages. This is a high step in life that he trusts you with the skin he hides. If you litter it with kisses, he just may cry or just look at you in almost devotion.

Never takes off the wedding ring. It's his second comfort to him if you are not around and in his hold. Bro, dead ass keep ranting to the Agency till the point Kunikida knocks him in the back of the head to shut the hell up.

This man isn't so sure about kids but is willing to make you happy. Would he even be a good father? He is not sure it is mixed.

I mean, he is practically acting like a kid, so he would say that. "I'm your baby."

But it doesn't stop him from thinking of seeing you with his own children. He grows nervous if you ever ask him for a child. He thinks he is not good enough to be a dad.

But the thought to get you pregnant with his child or see you full of his release drives this man feral.

He also will get jealous but plays it off. oh, like. That's my ass. Seriously, he would slap your ass in public. Ha have no fucking shame. I say this alot Don't test this man. He would just randomly squeeze your ass or chest.

Like ever see that tiktok of two people standing together and the one lower hos hand to the person ass only to get the placement fix. Yea, that's him.

Also is a thight man. He would sleep, leave love bites, or ask to squeeze his head. Don't get this man started. Full-on loves you no matter what, no matter what body shape. He married you for your personality.

He is also very bold when talking. He was never afraid to speak. Would speak his mind so this would lead to interesting things....

This man also loves to give you love bites. Your cooking boom love bite on the back of your neck. Sleeping, and he has his head on your shoulder boom love bite. No merry from this man. He likes to leave it in spots where it's clearly visible as well.

Don't even mention insincerity to him because he would softly make love to you all night till you admit they are beautiful/handsome. He loves you a lot and wants them to see how they see them. The most precious thing on this earth to him.

He is a fun husband and is willing to do anything to see his beloved you happy.

You two share a small apartment that the Agency gave you two. Not a lot, but it still brings a sense of home to dazai. He probably got his back if his head slap for the mess, but it was home where you are.

Dead ass shares a futon. Bro can't afford a lot then, well now he is saving up a ot since he is no longer trying to k-s or drowning in that God forsaking river.

Deadass can't cook, can heat up food but cook hit somehow burn it. If you can, he literally dies for your cooking. Yeah, the first thing to get to a man's heart is his stomach. You made butterflies in it and now warthm from your cooking.

Lovemaking comes down to how he is feeling. He likes to be top, he wants to give you as much pleasure as you wish for. Sometimes letting you top if wanted. But this man is so weird and really badly honry.

Only for the fact that he has someone he can trust. Let dow. The wall he holds so high to his mysterious personality.

I can see it going two ways. Pure blissful moments with you as he makes love. Praising and keeping you even so softly. Other love in a roughly matter. Holding your neck, calling his pretty little sl-t, wh--e, etc. Like there is no tomorrow. Probably still you can't even baffle other words right.

He has no shame like I did before, so make just maybe if he feels like pulling a risk, he does yo uin the Agency. I believe he likes to do it at home, so when he does, he can give you the most loving aftercare.

Baths together are caling and nice, peaceful moments when he not being a chaotic shit in society.

Doesn't know why you love him so much. Sometimes, he thinks back to his old days. Yes, the past is in the past, but worry holds his heart. What if mo-i uses you against him? What if he loses you one day?

Bonus points if you came from him from the Mafia, when he was 18. Or in the mafia.

He probably squeezes you tightly in the night. Like very tight. He doesn't sleep some nights but when he does it feels more peaceful...less nightmares seem to haunt him when your In his arms.

i'm gonna be so fr rn, doxxing people for writing smut about the triplets is unhinged. all you are doing is indulging in the problem and even being a part of the whole issue yourself. and if you're one of those people going on all the smut writers accounts and harassing them with the "the triplets don't like being sexualised." comments, you're just giving them a reason to clap back and then you guys get upset with it. everyone's entitled to different opinions on how they think fics of the triplets should be written within the fanbase. personally, i like to read fics where they're just nice and cute and i know i can usually read a well-written fic without it getting tooooo sexual.

and since we don't know how they feel about s*x fics being written about them, i don't think it's safe to assume anything. if they want to speak out and say "hey, just for the record, we still don't want smut fics written about us", then cool. if they come out and say "hey, we really don't give a fuck what you write", then cool; it's their decision and we have to respect that and what other writers do with that info.

as for smut writers, i've seen some of your guys' blogs and the fact that you are CONSTANTLY talking about how stupid and "sensitive" sturniolo fans are is just plain annoying and uncalled for. sure, you can have your own opinion but when you make your opinion the ONLY thing you post about on your blog, it's really annoying. you don't see "sensitive" writers constantly complaining about the smut fics rn. they say what they want and move on but you guys are the ones who are going on rants about how "sensitive" and annoying some fans are for not agreeing with you writing smut about chris, nick, and matt.

as for the whole nick x fem!reader stuff i keep seeing (i won't say names or accs, you guys know who you are), it's honestly pretty sad because it shows me and other fans around you that you don't respect nick or nick's sexuality. he has always said he's always known he's gay and that he's never liked another girl so why are you writing fics where he's making out with a fem!reader?

and also, all i can say is, the whole incest shit and "oh, i had a dream chris made out with nick" thing is just gross. they are brothers, not fuck buddies.

also, the whole thing with "suggestive" fics is honestly something for each reader/writer to decide if it's okay to them. i know some writers use the word "suggestive" heavily and lightly. for some writers, "suggestive is making out without actually getting to a point where sex happens (which can happen a lot in real life! you can definitely makeout with someone without having sex with them). and for other writers, "suggestive" can be alluding to sex or suggesting that sex was going to happen. personally, i'm fine with a fic that has a small makeout moment but if it gets to the point where sex is going to happen, that's where i will probably just silently scroll away and find a different fic to read without makking a fuss on every smut/suggestive writers account and it’s not because i hate smut writers, i’ve just had bad experiences with sexual things and i personally choose to avoid it! there's some writers who have a few works i read but they also write "suggestive" fics about the triplets and that's where i agree to disagree with a writer but i can still enjoy other fics they write. it's like strawberry picking what works for you.

and to tie it all up, smut is usually poorly written and not accurate to how real life s*x is. so for a young fan to read that and get a poor representation of how sex is can be really damaging and can cause insecurities in someone. i know when i was younger and people introduced me to smut, it made me insecure because i thought my body was supposed to be a certain way for men to like me. so with that being said, if you are a smut writer and want to continue your writing, no one can forcefully stop you. but i would suggest that if you are going to write smut, label it mature so people can turn on/off their mature tags and get the fics they actually want to read. wattpad writers do it with their work and i think it's only respectful for you to do it as well on this app.

also, i'm tired of seeing smut writers saying "Well they aren't minors anymore and they didn't like it when they were minors". they can still not like it even if they're 20. smut about a real person is very invasive and can make someone insecure about their body. if someone you didn't know wrote smut about you and they knew nothing about you, you'd be uncomfortable and grossed out too.

all i'm saying is at the end of this, no ones going to win their case. smut writers aren't going to get "sensitive" fans to stop rambling about smut since there are always going to be people who don't agree with you or what you do. and non-smut writers aren't going to get smut writers to stop writing smut since they think it's fine and will continue to do whatever the fuck they want. i still stand by my thought that if you are a smut writer, label your sexual works 'mature' so people who don't want to indulge in smut can turn that tag off.

One Chicago Screwed Over the Halstead Brothers

and most other siblings and their fans...

Ever since COVID came around, the crossovers stopped happening. I could understand that for the first year or two, while protocols were being created and put into place, and everyone wanted to protect the actors. But then things never went back to normal. Full crossovers never resumed happening.

We never got to see Jay and Will share scenes together again. Mini crossovers happened in the following years, with Hailey, Ruz or Kim going to Med for some reason and they interacted with those other characters. Or Fire characters would go on Med or PD. But you're telling me that not once could Jay and Will share scenes in that time?

Where was Will when Jay was going off the rails because of the Voight and Hailey BS a few seasons ago?

Where was Will, when Jay and Hailey eloped and got married?

Where was Will when Jay decided to leave Chicago and go to Bolivia?

Where was Jay each time Will was close to getting fired and losing his job?

Where was Jay, after the wedding to Natalie never happened?

Where was Jay, when Will suddenly up and decided to leave Chicago to be with Natalie and Owen?

It's gotten to the point where anyone new to the One Chicago franchise, wouldn't ever know that Jay and Will were brothers because they hadn't shared scenes since COVID started.

But it's not just them. It's like all siblings in the franchise barely share scenes. The Dawson siblings only had a handful of scenes when their characters were still around.

Kevin and his siblings only had a few episodes together.

Erin and Teddy NEVER shared scenes again after the episode where they find out he was a victim of a pedo sex ring.

We've NEVER seen a single scene of Hailey with her brothers.

We haven't seen Kim's sister in years. Doubt she even knows Kim adopted Mak.

Sylvie hasn't seen her sister in years, since the mom died.

Don't get me wrong, I know that the siblings in all these shows can't have scenes together all the time, but jeez, they can't even bother to have sibling scenes once a season, or have one of these characters share a phone call with their brother or sister?

I'm sure that I'm forgetting many other sibling pairs in the franchise, but it's 5:42 am as I type this and I needed to get this rant out.
