wait.. i’m literally on here or weibo almost 24/7 ( as you can tell lol ) but I feel like i missed something. i’m seeing clowning related to xz’s photos and how it looks like he is a groom and it’s a wedding photoshoot. the place is also famous for wedding shoots ( allegedly, idk. i’m not from there ) so turtles are imagining again. lol. freakin coincidence that wyb’s GRA photoshoot was done at a wedding shop. plus the “wedding outfits” for weibo night. which is all clowning and galaxy braining.🌌
now, we’re joking around, like where’s yibo? he should be taking photos with his partner.
then i see comments that there is this one song WYB recently listened to. meaning, as recent as when XZ flew to singapore which is called 超人不会飞 (superman can’t fly) by Jay Chou. i know WYB and everyone else is a big fan of Jay Chou but the clowning comes from the timing of when he listened to it. let me get to that first.

turtles are interpreting it as WYB longing to “fly” to where XZ is and be with him but he can’t because of all his work commitments. he wants to take a breather. thinking about what his life is and the constraints, and at times like this, when they spent days in Beijing, but now they have to be apart, it affects him even more.
however when i read the lyrics, it could also be because he can relate to what jay chou is singing about. here’s the english translation i found here. i have bolded the ones i felt like WYB relates too. literally no need for explanation. just read it. It fits with his status in life so much that it’s almost scary.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with how cpfs are relating this to cpn cause that’s just how it is. But sometimes, there are other reasons why they do what they do.
SO MY CONFUSION COMES FROM HOW THE HELL DO PEOPLE KNOW WHAT HE RECENTLY LISTENED TO. I can’t seem to dig up how or maybe it’s something we don’t talk about. I have never experienced this kind of tidbit related to them before so I wanna know the source. Or is this like the gaming cpn where certain people know and they will not divulge the boy’s account for privacy? if anyone knows, feel free to comment. If i find out in the future, I will share.

Who are the 2-3 Generals that Cao Cao and Sun Quan is closest to? Liu Bei we all know is Guan Yu and Zhang Fei unless my life is a lie (And Zhao Zilong nvm let's not go there). Cao Cao would be Cao Ren and Xu Huang? Or one of the Xiahou? Quan would be Zhou Tai and Lu Meng? I know Lu Meng is there considering Quan made a peep hole to check on his health condition.
The founders of the Kingdoms were personally close to a lot of their famous commanders and officials. Personal charisma is part of why they were able to build large followings, after all. If I were to narrow it down to a handful though:
Liu Bei was very close to Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, and Zhuge Liang. But let’s not forget Jian Yong, who was his friend since childhood, joined him along with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, stuck with him through his greatest trials, and served as one of his chief diplomats.
Cao Cao was close to a number as well. Xiahou Dun is generally agreed to be his closest friend but there were many others; Xiahou Yuan, Cao Ren, Cao Hong, Xun Yu, Guo Jia, and Dian Wei all come to mind.
Sun Jian had his circle of famous followers like Cheng Pu, Zhu Zhi, Yu/Sun He, and his brother Sun Jing. Sun Ce had many as well: Yu/Sun He, Sun Ben, Zhang Zhao, Zhang Hong, Taish iCi, Zhou Yu, Cheng Pu, and Lv Fan. For Sun Quan I’d say probably Zhang Zhao, Gu Yong, Lv Meng, Zhou tai, Ling Tong, Pan Zhang, and Zhu/Shi Ran were closest.

women can and do get courtesy names! in fact, I’m willing to bet that 厌离 Yanli is actually 江厌离 Jiang Yanli’s courtesy name and not her personal name, if we go by the general pattern in the CQL-‘verse that personal names are single-character and courtesy names double.
the idiom 待字闺中 daiziguizhong, which a lovely roundabout poetic way to describe an unmarried woman, literally translates as “waiting for a courtesy name in the lady’s chamber” -- that is, waiting for a courtesy name to be bestowed upon them at marriage
some examples! We have 王嫱 Wang Qiang, courtesy name 昭君 Zhaojun, who’s one of the Four Great Beauties I briefly touched on in this completely unrelated post； 吕雉 Lv Zhi, courtesy name 娥姁, empress and wife of the founder of the Han Dynasty; 苏惠 Su Hui, courtesy name 若兰 Ruolan (huh, she basically as the same courtesy name as Jin Ling), one of the Three Great Female Talents of the Wei-Jin period; the sisters 孙鲁班 Sun Luban and 孙鲁育 Sun Luyu, who had matching courtesy names 大虎 Dahu and 小虎 Xiaohu (‘big tiger’ and ‘little tiger’) which is real cute until you find out that, uh, the elder sister kind of executed her younger sister. Whoops.
tl;dr women do get courtesy names! You just hear less about it because 1) the sociopolitical sphere of premodern China is highly gendered and it sucks, and 2) there’s just a... predominance of male characters in fiction... all the time...

Yan planted the seeds into the soil and soon some rice shoots grew

When the rice shoot matured, Yan cooked it and asked people to taste
Ren men fa xian ta ji hao chi you neng tian bao du zi
人们发现它既好吃又能填饱肚子
People found it is delicious and can feed the stomach
Yu shi yan di jiang zhong zi fen song gei ren men bing jiao hui ren men geng zhong
于是炎帝将种子分送给人们并教会人们耕种
So Yan distributed the seeds and taught people to farm

从此人们有了粮食吃，尊称炎帝为神农
Since then, people have grains to eat and honored Yan as Shennong

This workshop involved teamwork and focused on the topographic and morphological setting of space as well as climate conditions (the wind). Two different types of materials were suggested to research the spatial conditions in the WangJiaWan valley: black and white sticks of a height of 3.5 m and 100 m white and black strips of cotton fabric. In the first exercise, the black and white sticks were used. The participating students spontaneously ventured out to find a function for their use i.e. as a measuring device for the depth of a ditch, the current of the river or the water flow direction. In the second exercise, the black and white strips of fabric were put to use. The participating students spontaneously divided themselves into two groups – black and white. The narration was greatly improvised to show each group emphasising the two parallel river banks and subsequently lead to their union through the river current. The black group greeted the white group in what seemed a natural act of coming together. The last act took place in a hotel courtyard: the students’ natural bond provoked close physical contact, additionally emphasized by them being tied with the fabric.

Qin Lan, She is one of my favorite Chinese actresses, first noticeable appearance is in Return Pearl Princess as Chen Zhihua, though I personally do not like her character in this drama; in China people call Zhi hua Lv cha Biao meaning green-tea bitch--who appears innocent and pretty but is actually greedy, jealous sour hearted and manipulative inside. I recently watched another historical imperial Chinese drama called the story of YanXI, Qin Lan plays a kind hearted beautiful empress. Her character is Fu Cha Rong Yin who was beautiful both inside and out though tragically died in episode 40 in the drama. In episode 40 she was in her night gown and walking up stairs to the rooftop of the tallest building of the imperial palace counting each mistake as she got higher and higher on to the rooftop and jumping off from it at the end.. In the clip below which may or may not play, she did sort of a monologue but instead of her doing an speech her thoughts were played out for the audience to make the audience know what her mental states were. I transcribed and edit the translations in the quote below that were in the video originally to make it more close to what her thoughts were By Fu Cha Rong Yin "I, in this life has made countless mistakes; Born in the Fu Cha family, hated to be restrained, but despite of that married into the imperial family and became the Qing Dynasty's empress (queen). That was the first mistake; Became the role model for the six palace in the imperial harem, submitted to the rules and proprieties and but still nostalgic for old life, and not waking up from this nostalgic dream. That was the next mistake; Losing my true self, be made into a puppet, yet was greedily longing for true love, wistfully hoping for the emperor's love. This as the third mistake; Given birth to Yong Lian and Yong Cong, but was unable to protect them. Facing the acute pain of losing my beloved sons, unworthy of becoming a mother, was the fourth mistake; The world is heartless, the rigid teachings of Confucius can't be crossed or breached, yet still delusional that a ruler might have feelings, without knowing that other people can be malevolence and ignored the fact that people can be cruel. Encountered one betrayal after another. One wrong step, snowballed into every step after that are also wrong. Emperor, (your majesty) You spoke the truth, I am not a good or proper empress. Sorry, Ying Luo (the only one who has not betray her)...Promised to waited until you've returned to the palace. Though a pity, I no longer able to wait, but, you must be happy for me as from this moment after I would no longer be the empress, I will simply just be Fu Cha Rong Yin, I am only just Fu Cha Rong Yin."
