After revisiting your "came back wrong" comic, absolutely wonderful btw, I came to a rather haunting realization.

Because it became true. But instead of Bloodmoon, it's Eclipse. And that's both much worse(for the characters), and much better(for the narrative).

Because both him and Lunar went through the same, and in a way seem to parallel each other, though that's probably me overthinking.

Both of them died. Both of them were blown to smithereens. Both of them came back after several months. Both found themselves in a body not their own. We've seen what they look like in every other universe.

Both of them came back wrong.

Lunar came back numb, quieter than before, with all their energy being a play. He came back running from unknown danger. They died a normal animatronic, and came back being more.

Eclipse is the opposite. He came back louder, erratic, full of madness. Where Lunar is running from unknown danger, he is sprinting towards it, not realizing the consequences until it's to late. Not to forget the star. Eclipse died being somewhat of a god, and came back as nothing more than a plaything, a puppet on a string.

In a twist of fate, they can relate best to each other now, and that might be the worst part for both of them.

Because what is there to do? Even though they understand, even though, one day, they might glance at each other and wonder "Do you feel the same?", they will never be able to confide in each other. Their relationship is beyond repair, and for good reason. Eclipse hurt Lunar, used and ab*sed him, and then blew him up.

This also opens up so much emotional baggage. What will Lunar think? Will he wonder "Do you regret what you did now, knowing how it felt?" Will a part of him feel the smallest bit of satisfaction? Will they ever be able to look at him at all, or will they forever hide away?

What about Eclipse? Will he feel guilty? He seems aware of the damage he has caused the celestial twins, even telling Ruin that he deserves what's coming for him, but he still showed no remorse when he talked to them.

I'm sorry this got so long, I am incredibly emotional about this right now, and I can't even begin to describe, how this makes me feel-

There so much I want to talk about after today’s LAES episode, but there’s one part that really stood out to me. When Eclipse was telling Lunar that he actually felt proud when Lunar killed him, he follows that up with “Finally, you’re starting to get it”.

To me, that read as Eclipse being relieved that Lunar could protect himself. Eclipse feels like the only true way to be safe is to act like he does, and in the moments before his death, he thought Lunar finally was starting to understand that. That Lunar was going to start being more like him so he could keep himself safe. Eclipse was proud because he thought Lunar finally learned that Eclipse’s way of handling things was the safest way of handling things.

The other way I saw this was that Eclipse was proud because Lunar learned why Eclipse killed him. He thought Lunar finally understood. Back then, Lunar was everything Eclipse hated, and that made him a threat. Eclipse thought that Lunar finally understood that, because those are the same reasons Lunar killed him.

Whatever the reason, this episode was great. It was the clarification that Lunar needed to start really working on things.

One day I will write an entire piece on why Ranni's questline is a perfect example of a subtle, gothic, and chivalric romance story but one that still manages to be so blatantly in your face about both the Tarnished and Ranni's feelings for one another that you can't miss it. And yet, people still insist that it's platonic because Ranni isn't jumping into the Tarnished's arms and proclaiming her undying affection for them (even though she does say she loves them in her own quiet way with the fucking key but I digress) and it makes me fear that reading literacy is at an all-time low worldwide.

Was nobody gonna tell me that Solar spoke French? And apparently Eclipse though idk if that’s true because I haven’t been able to find a clip of that so far-

I saw a tiktok referring to Solar speaking French in the “Lunar SAVES Eclipse in VRCHAT” episode on laes and I thought they were joking but no. Solar did indeed speak French—according to some comments he said something along the lines of “how do I say this”

People were also saying that the va’s first language is French but I haven’t been able to find confirmation of that yet either so idk-

btw if anybody knows wether Eclipse speaking French is actually true and if it is which episode it’s from then I would love to know-

Aw thank you i mean like i thrive on that more or less lol, plus like... itS SWEET AND SHOW NEVER GIVES IT TO US (the fact they bring solar back was great but ah the pain of like lunar being afriad of him for that while). Ships can be fun but like not ... a lot to go on in this show tbh (liek the most developed ship thats very sweet and natural feeling at least is monty and earth.) but its not centered on it either which is nice! Plus we have yn/robo content once in a while here. SAMS Fam time i do love, Lots to explore with it! Esp with other dimensions yess

I think about them so much it's ridiculous. There's so many ways you could make them interact and work and I truly think everyone needed to rotate them more because MAN. THEY ARE SO FUN TOGETHER.....!!!!!

To me, they are an untapped enemies to lovers dynamic and I think over half of their gayest moments happen when they are at each other's throats. Gemini with Lunara's arms pinned to the ground specifically so they can sneer about how they can't stand Lunara. Lunara with Gemini under their heel, a deep part of them both knowing that Gemini could push them off at any moment but they stay at their mercy.

They could be mutually crushing and drag out to their fights to spend more time with each other. Only Lunara could be crushing and their taunts come just a little too close to flirting whenever they get the upper hand. Only Gemini could be crushing and they hate how flustered Lunara's smug little grin makes them.

They could be so wholly in love with each other and the first way they will think to show it is to point a weapon to the other's most vulnerable spot and go "look. I could harm you, but I am not. I could end this all right now but I am choosing to let you live. You will do the same for me. I know you will." because fellas truly what is gayer than knowing you should kill your enemy but deciding you like their company too much to finish the job, yk?
