Carlos: Seven in both 2x12 and 4x18 (runners up: five in both 2x04 and 4x04)

TK: Four in both 2x12 and 3x13 (runners up: three each in 3x15, 3x18, and 4x16)

Tyler: One in both 3x18 and 4x18

Tyler Kennedy: Two in 4x18

From an untitled Owen POV WIP - missing scenes from 4x17 & 4x18

When he arrived home almost two hours after he had left, it was almost midnight. He expected the house to be dark, everyone to be sleeping. To his surprise, Sydney was still awake, sitting on the couch watching some late-night TV show.

“I just boiled some more water if you would like to join me with a cup of tea, Owen.” His sister-in-law offered.

“Not sure tea is going to cut it tonight,” Owen said as he moved to the kitchen, pulling a mug out of the cupboard, “but, it will have to do for now.”

“How are they doing?” his sister-in-law asked him, sympathy filling her voice.

Owen took a minute to collect his rambling thoughts before answering as he sat down on the couch. “Andrea looked lost, which is what you would expect from a woman who just watched the love of her life die, horrifically in their home. Ana and Luisa were both heartbroken of course, but were much more worried about their mother.” He took a deep breath before continuing on, “TK told me that Carlos was on the phone with his mom when the person shot Gabriel, that he heard his mom screaming, his father dying on the floor of his childhood home. Right now, he is his normal stoic self, but he is the one that I am most worried about.” He admitted, finally giving words to the thoughts that had been circling his mind since TK had told him what had happened.

“I am so sorry for their, and your loss.” Sydney told him.

“Thank you.” He replied taking a sip of his tea.

“How are you doing?” she asked.

Owen sighed as he replied, “Aside from feeling horrible for the Reyes’, I feel like I lost another brother, like my son lost another parent.”

Sydney nodded, asking “How did TK and Carlos meet? I forgot to ask them earlier when we were talking.”

Okay the thing is I did want to answer this immediately but it absolutely crippled me with doubt 😂 so I'm just gonna do it quick like ripping off a bandaid so that I can't overthink it anymore. Also not going to rank them because I'll spiral, so you're just getting 5 great ones:

The first interrogation room scene in 2x08 (but also all Carlos and Gabriel scenes this episode). The constant shifts in Carlos as he puts things together and realizes why Gabriel's there, the heartbreak of him thinking he was doing what his father always wanted, only to disappoint him again... at the time, this was the strongest scene LS had it its arsenal (WE STAN AND MISS TONYA KONG FOREVER AND ALWAYS) and it remains one of the best ones. It's so compelling and amazing to get to see the Carlos and Gabriel dynamic on display for the first time. This episode was a game-changer and I'll never shut up about it.

It's probably cheating to say all of his work in 4x18, so if I had to pick a scene from that I would say his talk with Owen where they toast Gabriel. My only problem with it is that it's so short, but Rafa packs every fucking thing he can in there, beat for beat, and it's beautiful. His delivery on "and forget about it?" but also all the lines leading up to that. The man is fucking hollow and crushed and lost and MY GOD RAFAEL. He's so skilled at what he does, knows exactly what he's doing every time. It's sublime.

Fine, another 4x18. Carlos's vows. I'm not gonna explain that one, the man is fucking beautiful and his heart is beautiful and he puts in on display publicly for what was probably the first time in his adult life, and it's stunning.

I love the scene in 3x13 where Carlos meets Cooper. Rafa is such a brilliant comedic actor, he uses every tool at his disposal, he understands his craft so well, how to use his body and face and voice to delivery great work, he's such a standout. I adore him. I could watch that scene for hours. Also, he is really fucking distracting in those clothes.

I'm gonna pick the fire in 2x12. And I'm gonna pick it because honestly the intensity of that scene, the life-or-death stakes, the absolute devastation and destruction of it, they are fully delivered by Rafa's performance. Like, Carlos's fear is what drives the scene, and Rafa's work sells it. And I'm also going to pick it because he's shirtless and so fucking hot. I'm gay, it's true. Have fully never recovered from it. And I'm also going to cheat and say the scene continues into him crying and TK holding him. So, like, obviously a top 5.

I'm sorry I have to include it I know I already picked 5 and I refuse to cut any of them but the 3x04 scene deserves to be in here and I'm mostly talking about the montage scene where TK wakes up and Carlos is forced out of the room and then his mom is there but then he fucking gasps the breath of a dying man who has been saved LIKE HE BASICALLY SAYS NO WORDS BUT MY FUCKING GOD, THE PERFORMANCE so I'm listing it and you can't fucking stop me Lola YOU CAN'T

anyway I just really love an actor who has honed their skills and studied their craft and dedicated themselves to approaching each scene in a fresh and honest way and I'm just really fucking happy to get to watch Rafa do it so thanks for letting me rave about him Lola you're a real one ❤️

4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

gonna cheat a little bc i have had my ao3 for too long and it's technically stuff i wrote when i was like 15 (that i'm on the verge of privating)

5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?

i try to! i am kinda behind on it atm because life has been so busy lately but i will catch up

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

i can't do angsty endings tbh, my one guarantee with all my fics is that they end happy

i think you saw the truth in me wraps up pretty happy, esp compared to how heavy it started. possibly unrealistically so, but i wanted to give tk everything by the end

nothing big, maybe a couple rude comments over the years

as of pretty recently, yes. the smut in you saw the truth in me was my first time writing it and i was so nervous lol

i have but not really anymore lol

i've had an idea and scenes stolen before

no, but i'd love that!

nope. it's something i'd definitely consider tho

....probably tarlos. they've consumed me in a way not many other ships have

15. what’s a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

i started brainstorming and writing another 4x18 coda but with everything else i want to work on, i don't think it'll ever get finished

16. what are your writing strengths?

i think i'm good at characterization, i feel like getting into characters' heads is something that comes pretty easy to me and it's definitely my favorite part.

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

describing setting / place is hard for me. i get so wrapped up in exploring what everyone is feeling that i don't spend enough time orienting the story. i've been trying to get better at it, because i think it adds another layer of depth and i love reading it, so here's to that lol

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i've never done it, but i enjoy it sometimes, when it suits the character and the scene. if i ever did it i'd want a fluent speaker to read things over to make sure i'm doing it properly and respectfully.

19. first fandom you wrote for?

big time rush

20. favorite fic you’ve written?

made up of a thousand scars. it truly happened on a whim, the idea came to me on a lunchtime walk, passing by this house in my neighborhood that i imagined tk staying in. i had no idea it would turn into such a deep exploration of his recovery, but i'm so proud of how it turned out.

Brianna missed four episodes of season three, her first as series regular. Three of the episodes she missed had scenes involving the paramedics so she could have been there if she was contracted to appear in all episodes. It feels unlikely they would have given her a higher episode count than Rafa when she was bumped up to season regular. Because of that, I assumed she was contracted for the same number of episodes as Rafa as he also missed four episodes in season three.

There are six episodes left in Season four, (I’m counting the finale as two episodes.) Brianna has been in every episode so far. Does that mean that Nancy will disappear for a few episodes? She’s in the publicity stills for 4x13 so if she is only contracted for fourteen episodes she would have to miss out on four of the five last episodes.

Rafa has missed two episodes already, and based on previous seasons, we have another two Carlos-less episodes to come. The LS writers usually do Carlos dirty in the finales (and they could still do him dirty in this one), I think he's a safe bet for 4x17 and 4x18. From the synopsis and lack of Carlos in the publicity stills, I think 4x13 could be a Carlos-less episode, which would leave 4x14, 4x15 or 4x16 as the last Carlos-less episode of the season.

Sierra missed two episodes in season three and she has already missed two so far in season four, so hopefully that means we will get Grace in every episode for the rest of the season.
