It’s a compostable bowl and wooden spoon delivered from Uber eats and the restaurant!!!! I was so happy seeing this. Eating my yum salad and thinking this is great, no waste and no plastic! These gorgeous sisters run our fave coffee place @marketlanecafe here in our hometown of Manly Beach, Australia and they just turned it into a wine bar on weekend nights. We were there last night and it inspired a little story: Yesterday when I was out and about I had two strong memories about how in Australia I always feel that if I ever lose something crucial, it's always returned to me- this has included wallets, drivers licenses and phones over the years - I'm always blown away and humbled at how these are always returned. So two times this came to me during the day. The first time was when I was taking a walk along the harbour and someone had stuck a baby's stuffed animal on a place along the walk- it must've dropped from a stroller and so it was just put where it was found on the chance the owner backtracked. I flashed on my experiences of everything important returning to me for a moment and kept on trucking. Then when I got home, a set of keys were left on a fence- again someone must've dropped them so they were just stuck where they were found in the hope the owner would retrace their steps. Again, I thought about how you can trust here that you'll find something if you lose it but I didn't even think how this was the 2nd time it had happened and I just carried on. Which brings me back to Market Lane cafe. We had an awesome night combining celebrating their wine bar opening with our 32nd anniversary. We got tipsy and when we got home, Presley got a text from the girls saying I'd left my wallet there. I love that they let us know right away, before I even knew it was missing and I love how I immediately felt a sense of whimsy at the whole thing. A sort of verification for these couple of random memories of always feeling protected. That's such a good feeling to have and it's actually something I feel wherever I am in the world, because of what I've experienced here.
