Wanted to re-draw one of my fav scenes while I was doing Mal's route (it isn't really a route as far as I can tell but idc). Either way, I LOVE MAL HELP ME

Mal obviously belongs to @lacunafiction and the bottom weirdo over there is Velia "Vee" Zane. Goes by she/they and it's so funny to me because Vee is like... the opposite of the red flag Mal is. Vee likes to hide, doesn't like doing ANYTHING, and is most likely the first one to die in a horror movie (because they lack the will😔).

Either way, Vee is crushing on Mal hard, but she doesn't even know that LOL (and how doesn't she notice???? like vee darling, you're super careful and cautious of everyone, but with Mal you're like super open-faced...)

Anyways, this is my 45th time telling y'all to play The Fernweh Saga, it's my absolute fav for a reason.

I've been playing this game for a little over a year and I still haven't gotten Diluc 😭 I literally want to lose my 50/50 just to get himmmm

I mean, Diluc was probably the character I wanted the most if I had to lose the 50/50 but I would still rather have had Kokomi. :'')

Or maybe Mona because I want someone who can easily apply Hydro for my hyperBOOM team. (Yes, boom because Yanfei says 'boom~' when she attacks :p)

Right now I'm using Barbara who isn't bad but Kokomi is obviously superior, haha.

Kokomi would also be a perfect fit on my main team, 'Cute Girls Kicking Ass' or CGKA for short.

On the plus side, I do have my #MondstadtSquad team complete now...I haven't fully leveled up Diluc though. I'm waiting for my resin to reset so I can farm more materials. I also need to craft a better weapon for him.

i just wanted to say i noticed something you do with cody that you don’t do with anyone else is that cody stutters. i noticed it again in your most recent ficlet and i quickly leafed through your other works and noticed it’s really just for cody and i LOVE THAT I don’t know if you’ve been doing it intentionally/knowingly but idk it really warms my heart i guess?

i’ve noticed you doing it with him but i guess i didn’t realize until now and it seems like a really small thing to focus on but idk if i can give enough kudos for that? i love love love seeing that kind of stuff in writing, tangible differences in how their stuff reads and i know that’s typical, that’s how it’s supposed to be i guess, but unfortunately, especially in clone fic, the boys tend to all act/talk/sound the same and i feel like you’ve really mastered not doing that

so i just wanna say you’re amazing and i love you

I didn’t think anyone noticed! It's subtle, but I try to include Cody’s stuttering when I can.

Cos okay Cody is always composed in TCW. He speaks in a clear and concise manner. Like when Rex is talking to him about Echo in season 7; he is taking time to pick his words as to not upset Rex.

But I think he has a tendency to stutter or trip over his words. It’s sort of a subtle manifestation of the trauma of war. Because as commander, if he stutters or misspeaks battle plans, that could mean unnecessary injury or death to his brothers. That’s a lot to deal with and as much as he tries to manage it, I think his stuttering comes out in certain situations. Like when is totally relaxed and comfortable. He doesn’t have to be Commander Cody of the 212th Battalion, he’s just Cody. Nobody is going to die or get hurt if he misspeaks. He can let his guard down and idk I like the idea of Cody having someone where he feels comfortable enough to not worry about how he speaks.

But yeah 😅 I want to ramble more but yes, Cody’s stuttering is intentional and it makes me so so happy you noticed! Thank you for your kind words please know I’m clutching my phone to my chest and smiling like an idiot 💙 and I totally know what you mean about the clones sounding/acting the same. Those subtle differences hare SO important! They have such an impact on the characters. Cos if I’m writing about Cody, I want you to know this is about Cody. I don’t want you to be able to change out Cody for his brother and the story continue on, you know?

niko's sitting down next to chiyo, awfully close & not at all flustered by the proximity of their bodies. one of his hands reaches for a lock led astray, twirling it around his finger before letting it fall against her cheek again. "are you poutin'?" the grin was evident in his voice. he had been so busy recently, leaving only little free time to hang out with the mangaka. of course, he felt bad, but it was adorable to see her like this. "c'mere . . . let me show you how much i missed you." a large hands pats his thigh, beckoning her to sit atop his lap with the same grin from before. // hey bel i missed them :') ♥

as soon as he says it, chiyo tries to school her expression into something more neutral, but it's no use. that's a problem these days -- how she forgets to watch herself. or maybe it's a good thing. she chances a glance at niko, feels her heart happily flutter in her chest despite herself. she's missed his smile, even the one that makes her want to argue that she definitely wasn't pouting. she's missed him.

niko beckons her over, to invade his space more than she already has, and she should act a little more stubborn. she shouldn't give in so easily simply because it feels a little like she's losing somehow, but there's no game or competition. there's no reason to pretend as if she doesn't want to be close to him, as close as he'll let her be. even if he teases her for her eagerness in the end, chiyo doesn't care ( well, she cares a little, but that's not the point ). she climbs over him and settles on his lap, fixing niko with a pout she doesn't try to hide this time.

" i wanna hear it, too, " she childishly demands. one of her hands rest on his shoulder while the other toys with the collar of his sweatshirt. " and don't be afraid to be cheesy about it like... " a grin spreads across chiyo's face as she leans in a little closer to coo, " ' pizza didn't taste as good without you. i was bored to tears without your clever puns. ' something like that'll make me feel better. "
