quintessence ghouls are, quite literally, spiritual beings. down in the Pit, they have no bodies to reside in. they simply exist throughout the space, rogue Magick running loose. they still have personalities, using their Magick however they please. some like to mess with those who are especially assholes down there. some are assholes themselves, attaching themselves to am unsuspecting victim for their chaos.

Summoning a quint is different. because they're not summoning an already defined body, they have to make one from scratch. all the Emeritus brothers like the look of Greek and Roman Gods, so they always use them as a basis. Omega and Aether were wholey based on the deities, large and muscular, strong noses and fierce eyes.

Copia, though? he wanted his first creation to be special. he didn't want his first creation to be of something else, he wanted them to be a brand new thing. so he made Phantom, a long and lanky ghoul with soft features and kind eyes, dimples when he smiles. when he was summoned finally, the room was left speechless.

there must've been an error in Copia's calucations tho, or maybe a summoning ingredient had gone bad, or maybe it simply was Phantom, but he came with a scar throughout his face, some of his hair left bone white. Copia could only feel love and pride, though. he, in his eyes, was near perfection in all of his imperfections.

And because quint ghouls have vessels for the first time ever, they are literally learning to be people from scratch. a few things come by second nature; breathing, blinking, moving and walking. staying alive. they have to learn everything else, though. to speak, to eat, to sleep. they will always have their pack to help, though.

Something wonderful that nobody tells you about being an adult is that occasionally you get to go to bed at 7pm on a Friday with a large mug of tea and four books.

I've become kinda inactive with playing obey me nightbringer and now that my best friend is dead by suicide I don't know if I can ever get back into it. The depictions of the brothers mourning their dead sibling might be too much for me. Which sucks because obey me has always been one of my comfort medias. Like I'd usually play it whenever my mental health was bad but now I don't know if I can.

On the other hand maybe a media where when good people die they go to heaven could be comforting. I'm agnostic but now I want to believe that's how it works

because of Phantom’s scars being in the eye area they get crazy migraines on that side sometimes, and days can get so bad that they just stay in their room with lights off, curtains closed, just trying not to cry because if they cry the pain will be worse but it just feels like there's a combination of fire, electricity, and daggers going through their eye and skull. they refuse to eat or drink anything because the nausea is so bad, all they can do is rot in their bed and wait it out.

and on those days the only one who they allow to even be close to them is Dew because for some reason not even Aether's magick can help with the pain. but the heat does help, so they cuddle up as close to Dew as they physically can and try to hold out. Dew massages the back of their neck and that's when they start to finally purr instead of whine.

i love love love media that loves the world. i want to be reminded that the universe is so incomparably beautiful and complex. i want to be shown that life is messy and broken and it hurts so bad but it’s so so so beautiful and you can’t help loving it anyway. there are people out there, wonderful ones who will stay by your side if you’ll let them. there is the sun and the warmth of it and the light. there is the path between the trees and the sandwich shop down the road and the river in the paddock and is that wonderful and isn’t that worth living for. i love when media tells you it’s okay to be broken and it’s okay to be hurting and it’s okay to live despite it. tell me i am worth saving. tell me to listen to the rain falling on tin rooftops and fall in love with life. tell me that the world loves me too.

It makes me very sad that since my post I've seen that other people are feeling the same way... This used to be a place of love and happiness and people sharing what they loved.

It makes me think about what Matty keeps talking about, how we used to be united by the things we LOVED and now we're so focused on hate.

I hope we can return to that, truly this fandom and this band brings me so much happiness.
