"No Love Lost" aka "Ailani Meets The Emperor Again"
A short scene in which Ailani, the recently returned Second Primarch, meets what's left of the Emperor for the first time in 10,000 years to declare her intentions. And finally get a lot of crap off her chest.
Gonna be honest, this is basically Daddy Issues: The Fanfic.
Ailani had made it before the Emperor at long last. She barely remembered what he’d looked like, if she’d ever known even a fraction of the truth of his appearance at all, for all his psychic posturing. But what sat on the Golden Throne was barely the man who was barely her father. A massive, decrepit corpse, more skeleton than man, more deceased than deity. Yet the pressure in her brain told her that something connected to that body was still VERY much alive… and it was at least somewhat aware of her.
The Emperor’s Daughter failed to bow or kneel, and this did not go unnoticed by the attendant Custodes. She stood there, sizing up this undead monument to a single man’s arrogance, ego, and mistakes. Her green-stained eyes looked him over. Her ears heard the whirring and clicking of the ancient machinery of the Golden Throne.
There was much silence for a long while. It had been ten thousand years, and their last exchange had almost come to blows much as their first had. Her last act in his Imperium was to fire on his soldiers and betray his trust by favoring her people above his orders. What was there she could possibly say? Would it even do her any good at all? Was whatever was left of the Emperor even cognizant enough to answer in any way? There was only one way to find out.
“I've returned.” Ailani said, breaking the silence.
Her head filled with unfiltered thoughts that were not hers.
TRAITOR
DISGUSTING
DISAPPOINTMENT
ABERRANCE
The Second Primarch laughed darkly.
“Yeah. It’s nice to see you too, Dad. I suppose we both are just going to have to accept that we’ll always be a disappointment to each other. I for not being who or what you wanted me to be, and you for being an irredeemably arrogant bastard. I mean, I admire your ability to consistently remain true to your character, even if that character has always been less than stellar. I'm not sure what was more impressive: your ability to remain consistently unpleasant around me or your knack for making enemies you didn’t have to have.”
ABOMINATION
MISCREANT
APOSTATE
REPUGNANT
“You know, I never liked you much either. But the ideals you sold me? Those were maybe the only good you ever put in my life. I never really believed in your Imperium or your Crusade. I certainly never believed in you – how could I when the first thing you ever did around me was express your revulsion for my identity and then try to kill my parents?”
FALSE
KIDNAPPERS
CORRUPTORS
HYPOCRITE
“Still refusing to admit you’re wrong. 10,000 years and how many wars to end all wars and you still haven’t changed. Well, you may not have believed a damn word you said when you poured honey in my ears to get me to come to Terra the first time, but they were words worth believing in. And as far as I’m concerned, you already got what you deserved.”
The Custodes reached for their weapons, but did not draw. Not yet.
SANCTIMONIOUS
UNGRATEFUL
UNNATURAL
BROKEN
Ailani let out a judging laugh.
“Ungrateful? Ungrateful?! My legion and I did good work. We did what we were told to do. What we were MADE to do. Made, BY YOU, to do. And we did it well. Our lives were dedicated to your mandates, your purpose. But because I wasn’t the child you WANTED, you never trusted us. You took my family, my community, my whole WORLD hostage to ensure my loyalty. But I did the work. ‘Maybe,’ I told myself, ‘maybe if I work hard enough, if I prove my usefulness, he might ease off. He might see that I’m just as worthy as my brothers. He might realize that he doesn’t need to hold a sword over my family’s necks to make me keep my promise.’ But you never did. Nothing I did was EVER enough for you! I will ALWAYS be a deviant in your eyes. A freak. A mistake. But I’ve finally realized, that’s not MY problem. It’s yours. And I’m done letting the people of this Imperium suffer for this grudge. I’m back, and you’re not. You can just sit there and simmer. I’m done with you, and I don’t expect I’ll speak with you again. I’m a healer. I learned triage a long time ago. I know better than to waste energy and resources on a lost cause when there’s ways to use them to do more good elsewhere. So that’s what I’ll do. The Imperium is wounded. It’s sick. It’s in pain. Untold teeming billions upon billions are crying out. They need help.  So I’m going to help them however I can. They didn’t ask for any of this. Yes, they’ve done SO MUCH WRONG. They are so afraid and hateful, but that isn’t their fault. They’ve never known another way. It’s just another way they’ve been injured. And for all your faults, I know neither one of us ever wanted this for them. We both believe in a better tomorrow, and a better mankind to live in it, after all. On the oath I swore ten thousand years ago, I swear I will keep trying to make the Imperial Ideal the Imperial Reality. You can trust me, just like you always could and should have.”
The Custodes relaxed as Ailani turned to leave. She stopped at the door to the Throne Room. She had a feeling she needed to.
REMISS
THANK
YOU
̲D̲A̲U̲G̲H̲T̲E̲R̲
Ailani smiled.
“Maybe I will see you again, actually.”

The Lost Primarch of The II
Tumblr media
Name: Jovian Malleolus
Primarch Titles: “The unbroken steel”, “The conqueror of the machine”
Race: Human/Primarch
Sex: Male
Numeration: II
Skin Tone: Grayish skin
Distinguishing Features: Numerous arch tech implants and cybernetics.
Mutations: Blue glowing marks that go through his body that carry electricity
Hair Color: Brunette
Abilities:
Bane of the Machine: Jovian was born with latent psychic power and a mutation that allowed his body to generate large amounts of electricity. Combining these two factors makes him naturally gifted with the electromancy and technomancy disciplines, which allows her to manipulate, harness, and produce electricity and exert his will over machinery. This mutation is displayed with glowing patterns on his body. The downside is that he risks his energy base weapons malfunctioning when using them, meaning he needs special gear. Still, this flaw also allows him and his legion to be quite effective against anything possessing electronic or ferrous components.
Cybernetic Enhancement: His cybernetic has an uncanny resemblance to organic life that borders on mockery. This cybernetic enhancements gives him a physical boost and the ability to better integrate with technology.
Wargear:
Storm Breaker: A custom-made thunder hammer that harnesses, stores, and focuses the electricity generated by her body.
Storm Shield
Resolve: An artificer's Tartaros Pattern terminator armor which properly syncs with his cybernetics implant made to accommodate his electric power; this allows him to control any attachment on his armor easily. It also has some modifications that would prevent any attempt to hijack control of his power armor.
Tumblr media
Backstory:
Like many of his siblings, Jovian Malleolus was sent through the warp into the unknown, ending on a planet known as node-23576. There the infant primarch's first experience was seeing a bunch of drones shining their lights on his container before trying to break in to take him somewhere else. The infant Primarch remembers screaming in fear and anger as the machine corners him. They finally broke in, and just as they tried to take him away, he released a large electric blast that fried the drones.
After this incident, he wandered off on that machine wasteland for days, looking for shelter and food, eventually coming across another group of humans fighting men made of iron. He watches them lose ground and be overwhelmed by the machines. Quickly rush to their aid, hurling electricity at the machines which cook their circuits. Once the dust has settled, the humans approach the large infant who just saved their life and brought him to their underground shelter. Down they took care of the exhausted infant, sharing what little food they had and letting him rest and recover.
During his time living with those human survivors, he came to comprehend their languages as well as to learn the situation of the planet. He learned how the planet used to be a proper colony, one that was quickly growing thanks to the help of the men of iron and AI, which aided in the development of their community, but then the AI turned against them, starting a bloody battle. For many years they fought and tried to reach out to other planets for backup, yet they never got an answer. Eventually, the machines were no longer satisfied with killing them; they started harvesting them and turning them into half-machine abominations.
Jovian noticed many, if not all, the humans that were there sport all kinds of cybernetic modification. They explain that hadn't figured out a way to remove the control of the AI over their cyborg soldier; they would have gone extinct a long time ago. With a goal in front of him, Jovian Malleolus, as he was named by those who find him, decided to take part in this conflict to recover the planet from the clutches of AI and its men of iron. Jovian was a quick learner and strong warrior; he learned everything he needed to survive the harsh world and how to fight the machines, which was a slow endeavor. Eventually, he took the risky option of bringing the dismantled machines to their bases to learn how they work dismantling, seeing their strength and limitation.
While many criticize this as it could endanger them, he explained that they need to know how their enemy works if they wish to have a chance of survival. Slowly this started to give them an edge over the machine; not only they knew how to exploit their weakness in guerrilla tactics, but it also allowed them to repurpose them into armor and weapons. Slowly they started to reclaim the surface. They took factories and reclaimed old colonial outposts, and thanks to Jovian leadership and power, they finally went from survivors to warriors.
The AI would refuse to go down as easily, and just like her human enemy was adapting, so would she. She started to produce new models of machinery to overcome their tactics. This proves troublesome for the humans and their leader; this forces them to reinforce what they claim and constantly change their strategies, forcing them to adapt quite often. As their progress continued to grow slower and slower, they knew that if they didn't do something, they would again be overpowered by the AI. Jovian knew they were getting cornered; they would need to do something and do it while they still could. There were a lot of discussions of what could be done, and many arguments erupted among them, yet they couldn’t agree on a plan,
Jovian sees his general and soldier bickering and fighting with one another, stands up, raises his voice, and exclaims that if they are going to waste their time getting on each other's throat, they may as well drop their weapon and let the machines harvest them. Furious about his observation, they questioned if he had a plan, which he did. We go for the AI and destroy her. They quickly rejected that plan; it was suicidal! Illogical! that plan would handle them on a silver platter to the bloody machine! Jovian then explained that was the point, the machine is logical, they are not; the machine is rational, they are not; the machine calculated its action, they are not; the machine thinks it can predict them when it can’t.
Their first victory came because they started taking risks, they were unpredictable, but now, the AI is studying them, their tactics, and their capabilities. If they want this war to be truly over, they must be willing to risk it all while they still can. While many refused to participate in this suicidal mission, others showed their full support and were ready to risk their lives to end this nightmare. The plan was simple, to isolate the main base of the AI and to set off an explosive where the core of the AI is; the execution was the messy part. The mission was as bloody as they knew it would be; many lost their lives and saw mechanical horrors of flesh and steel, some even escaping human imagination. Eventually, Jovian and his team made it to the core where the AI rests.
Down there, they were greeted by a horrific beast of steel, built specifically to destroy Jovian; its size tower over all of them, even Jovian. The mechanical abomination slaughtered most of them, with Jovian barely managing to best this machine and set off the explosive, taking down AI and seemingly himself in the process. The men of iron eventually shut down, and the cyborgs under the control of the AI recovered control over their bodies. The long war against AI was finally over.
All the forces eventually rally on the giant crater that once was the main base in which the AI was to recover the body of their fallen comrades and their leader, but to their surprise, their leader was still breathing, even if barely. They all hurry up and try to save his life, and while they manage to stabilize him, his condition is critical. His limbs were mangled, his organs were failing, and the worst part, they couldn’t find implants compatible with his unnatural body… until they searched deeper into what remained of the main of the base.
Waiting there was a custom-made cybernetic implant made with unknown material and technology only seen in the golden age of humanity, made specifically for Jovian body. The realization that had AI managed to capture him and convert him; nobody would have been able to stop her. With a heavy heart, they used those implants on their leader, saving his life but leaving a bitter aftertaste of their victory, as, in a way, the AI managed to get what she wanted, even after her death.
After the war, they slowly rebuilt and made their broken planet a place they could call home. They were recovering and fixing many of the old technology left from the colony days and repurposing and modifying the machinery built by the AI. Even without the machines, life on the planet was harsh since it was completely contaminated. Yet, slowly but surely, they rebuilt from the ruins, learning a lot about their technology and developing a new one, allowing them to thrive on the newly named planet Janus.

Lachesis facts
Lachesis, being a psyker based in strictly biomancy, has an ability to meld and attach body parts to their body with relative ease.
Combining this with their supreme genetic manipulation, Lachesis has made augments to assist themsles and their legion.
Their augment of choice is a handmade beast body that they fuse to become a walking predator of a cantaur-like being. Fearsome claws and plates of bio-made ceramite and metal in assisting during combat. Lachesis is quick and fearsome with this mount.
However, they barely had used this mode on joint missions with their brothers since it could be seen as heretical. Some, such as Horus, has seen the legion's bioaugments in use, including this battle mount.
As with everything, Lachesis will mutate according to their association. On this battlemount, their ears will elongate to become pointed and more sensitive, their already mutated mouth will sharpen according. With some long campaigns, Lachesis had started to develop ceramite body plates as well as claws due to prolonged exposure.
This is a rough sketch of what it'll look like

So, after chatting with a friend I have several thoughts to share:
1) Oona falling to Chaos would have been terrible, horrible absolutely bad time for everyone around, because she would be an absolute creacher, running around creating nightmarish forests with horrific monsters
2) It would also be very sexy of her, so I will make a possible design. First rough draft to be seen above.

saw the paintings by the guy who wanted to get topped by a witch so bad and got An Idea
Tumblr media
very much wanted to keep his traditional subject material, and led to a few “huge lady surrounded by vague, possibly armored figures” images
corrupted depictions of the Lycian Primarch, perhaps? the images distorted by whatever process ripped her from memory like a picture from a book?

Some more Fuzzverse sketches :D
Oona’s first meeting with Sanya and crew went... not exactly awesome. Which is fair considering how life went for Oona up to this point.  She gets better eventually, but it was certainly a journey.
And daemon form of Balthrag. I don’t think she has the typical Great Unclean One visual, but more like very angry and very alive bog, coming to eat your soul

Succubus Wych Nihgt Gen'ga of The Cult of The Abandoned Corpse and her partner Archon Da'tura Bela'ur of The Kabal of The Splintered Skull.
Adoptive mothers of Lost Primarch Az'khal Tru'gall.
Art by Me. Yes, they are lesbians, if you might ask. If you have a problem with that, then begone.
Nihgt Gen'ga is several inches taller than Da'tura and she at times pokes fun at her about it. Da'tura is roughly 6'2". Gen'ga is about 6'5" (without heels, which she hardly goes without, so she towers over the Archon unless the latter wears her helmet). Deeta is around 7 feet, quite tall for a wych.

I did too good a job coming up with Branwen Ailani.
My head keeps trying to write fanfiction where she returns when I don't want it to. But I can just imagine Angron returning again (as he does) and the Lion is getting ready to throw down with him again, but Ailani intervenes and manages to calm this DAEMON PRINCE OF KHORNE with her mere words and presence. The entire battle loses energy at her arrival. Her Marines, the Hospitallers, do what they do best: evacuate innocents and the wounded trapped in the crossfire. They stabilize the dying. They reinforce the Imperium's defenses despite being unknown to the defenders, and their aid unasked for. And the Lion sees this mysterious woman, who has the formidable presence only a Primarch could have (but how could she there ARE no women Primarchs?), walk right up the the Blood God's Champion and halt him in his tracks with mere words. He sees the flames wreathing his lost brother flicker and die, as this crazy woman does the unthinkable and reaches out to gently touch the face of the Daemon Prince.
"What has this universe done to you, dearest brother?" she asks, pressing her forehead to his in a gesture of utter madness, "I have known your hurt in the past, yet it is so much greater now. This is not who you are. It never was. This is only what your masters told you that you must be, but deep down you are still your own man. Buried in hurt, drowning in suffering, lost in anger and sadness. I cannot fix your pain by myself. These wounds are too great even for me -- but if you would help me, brother, we can do it together."
And the Lion sees something happen he never expected: a twinge in Angron's eyes. It's there, only for a moment, but there's no mistaking it: his brother still lives, and begins to fight the devilry of his flesh for control for the first time in 10,000 years. Angron retreats in the face of Ailani's superhuman mercy and kindness, along with her healing touch and soothing aura, all of which has put cracks in Khorne's control of the Twelfth Primarch, something nobody thought possible.
The Lion doesn't know this woman, or her marines. But they know HIM. And she greets him like an old friend, a sibling, even.
There has been much talk of "delivering the Emperor's Mercy" in the past 10 millennia. But when the time came, the Emperor's Mercy delivered Herself back to the galaxy, and many reintroductions have been far too long overdue.

Lost Primarchs headcanon
The out of universe reason for the Lost Primarchs is so that players are free to make their own stories. Here's mine.
What we know about the Lost Primarchs is that knowledge of their fate would destabilize the Imperium, and it's implied that the Space Wolves killed them. It's also telling that the traitor Primarchs were made public, but these weren't.
So my theory is...
They died. Yup. They just... died. No foul play involved. Most of the Primarchs were pitted against great odds and prevailed. These failed. When faced with the monumental task of saving their planet, whatever they were fighting killed them.
Why is it so important that nobody knows what happened? It's all about the timing. That conversation about how the Lost Primarchs would tear apart the Imperium took place before the Horus Heresy, when the Primarchs were touted as humanity's hope. That they could be anything but perfect would destabilize the Imperium's propaganda machine.
Post-Heresy, it's not longer an issue. Everyone already knows that the Primarchs can be killed; it's only a secret because the only people who knew aren't in a position to tell anyone. At worst, they'd have some Space Marine chapters distressed that their gene-fathers might not be the ones they knew.
Given that it's stated that Leman Russ and the Space Wolves killed other Space Marines before, I'm willing to concede that only one of them died of natural causes. Either that, or they had to fight their Legions when they refused to integrate with the others.
