How powerful are Monsters?
Monsters who cross through the Shroud and into the mortal realm undergo a dramatic transformation. Their incorporeal spirits take physical form, strengthening some and weakening others. The longer they spend in the human world, the better they adapt.

All right, I know there's Lore that married elves are discernible by means of eye contact, but does anyone know if it says anywhere whether this is also true for elf/mortal couples? If so, is it true for both of them or can you only tell with the elf?
Yes this is about Halenthir, you got me.
Because in a scenario where the Haladin ultimately settle in Thargelion (maybe because they mistakenly approached Thingol speaking Quenya?), I can see Caranthir and Haleth getting married but they're still being professional about titles and stuff, and Caranthir messing with one of his visiting brothers by saying "This is my neighbor, Lady Haleth of the Haladin". And said brother takes a good look at them, rolls his eyes, and says, "Moryo, can't you just introduce us to your wife like a normal person?"
Alternatively, the visiting brother notices that Caranthir is married, but can't figure out who he married, and Caranthir has way too much fun trying to draw out the guessing. There haven't been any known elf/human couples before, so when he tells them to "quit only guessing elves! It could be one of the Haladin!", they think he's joking.
Alternatively, the bond isn't visible on either of them, and barely anybody knows that Haleth and Caranthir are married unless they let something slip. His brothers don't find out for decades, at the earliest.

got any canon listener looks? references? would love to see em (all of you can)
I usually don't pay much mind to the character designs for Listeners because I want the audience to imagine the Listener themselves, but I have a few features and inspirations. None of them are canon, but I did imagine them a certain way when writing them.
Like Raven took some inspiration from my favorite pulp action movie stars from the 1970s-1980s. I often imagined her as a vague mismash of Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, and a cyberpunk version of Pam Grier as Foxy Brown (I know they had very different looks lmao but you can imagine).
For Guest (Matador Gothic) I just kind of imagine her being young and very into the party girl fashion of her era (2007-2009). Same for the future wife from Chronus Seven, but for the low-key academic fashion of 2002.
I imagine Schäfer from Wolfsjäger being imminently MILFy, with thick brown hair and very bold facial features. I don't have a real life reference for her though.
The Intern doesn't have a face claim or anything, but I imagine them being slim, above average in height, and with loose/flowy hair that sometimes covers their eyes.
Slash has a scarred face from burns. Not enough to completely distort their face/erase their natural features, but enough to be insecure about being "ugly" in normal civilization. I'll never make a canon face for them, but I am making a canon design for their mask.
I imagined Lass from Blue Infinity being this elegant Lady with thick red her hair that she keeps in a bun, and a preference for dresses that are simple in design but bright in color.

In one MK1 fight intro, Li Mei knows about Mileena & Tanya's relationship. Sindel is surprised that Li Mei knows.
Li Mei tells Sindel that Mileena and Tanya should be more careful.
How do y'all think Li Mei found out Mileena and Tanya are dating? Did she accidentally walk in on them kissing/having sex? Or were they doing something else which was cute & coupley?

Does Summoning Work In the Hellaverse?
Can Mortals talk to demons? Is there the traditional 'sell your soul' thing going on?
If you screw up Stolas's summoning sigil in just the right way, do you think you'd accidentally summon Octavia?
Is it possible to summon sinners?
Did some poor summoner experimenting with runes accidentally call up Alastor once?

I was at the bus station this night, since I had to make a sort of emergency trip, and as I was waiting for the bus in my first trip in several months, I noticed that bus stations are modern Desna temples.
I mean, Desna doesn't have too many temples, since her priests and priestesses are always traveling, but in a world where there are buses that help you with travel, their stations, along with train stations and airports, could be perfect temples for her. Regretfully, I haven't seen all her lore in Starfinder, so I don't know if her priesthood had taken the spaceports as their favorite places 🤔
Now that I think about it, maybe even functioning trains or busses could be the temples themselves 🤔
OK, I've decided that, if and when I play Starfinder, I'll make a Desna follower who will call their spaceship their Desnian temple 😬

If the average temperature of magma is enough to melt Precursor Metal (which suggests Precursor Metal has a melting point somewhere between copper and stainless steel), do you think melting down a metalhead's metal, uh, head, to forge with the Precursor metal would make for an alloy with a slightly higher heat resistance?
A quick note: there is a difference between the forging and the chemical bonding of metals. Metal alloys are made by super-heating the two or more metals into a liquid state, mixing and casting them in a mould. Forging on it's own is when you take one or more pieces of metal, heat it up just enough to be mailable and beat them, quite literally, into shape!
For forging, I can 1000% see the practical applications of it!
We knew from TPL that there are Precursor ruins EVERYWHERE, and even concept art from that same game suggested a much larger explorable area just littered with Precursor stuff!
Forging MetalHead metal with Precursor metal would be similar to forging any two similar metals. It doesn't create a new alloy by mixing them, but they can mix together in visually interesting patterns. (Bear in mind, this would require hours of pounding and heating and folding and heating and pounding and folding)
A blade that is strong and flexible enough not to break under stress with metal that very rarely loses its edge would be highly valued among warriors and cooks alike!
It's also important to consider the Metalhead metal melting point, because copper and stainless steel are too far apart, as I understand, to effectively forge together. That said, since not many Metalheads survive in lava either, I think it's a safe bet that they are also below stainless steel.

I was looking up a word on Parf Edhellen and ran across the entry below. Does anyone know what they're pulling from here for the Felagund reference?
Míriel makes sense here, but I'm baffled re the Felagund inclusion in this, since it seems from the earlier part of the sentence to be referencing a dead Elf choosing not to return from Mandos because of "a special will of their own." So now I am being eaten alive with curiosity here.
Was there a draft where Finrod pulled an Aegnor and decided not to ever come back? What???
(Or is my reading comprehension pre-coffee just abysmal and this means something entirely different?)

If injuries allow a shifter to shift, but we’ve only seen external injuries work, what level injury does it have to be?
If blood has to spill, what if there’s mass internal injury but nothing outside the body.
Like if someone’s internal organs bleed from an impact and there’s bruising, swelling, but no external blood, can they not shift??
What if they bonk their head really bad and get a concussion and a brain bleed but no external scrapes?
What if they burst a blood vessel in their eye so the white goes red, but it’s still in the eyeball. You can see the blood, same as you can with a bruise, but it isn’t technically external because the blood is still trapped in the body.
What if they slam their thumb in a door and there’s blood but its beneath the nail and looks like one of those black bloody bruises but no blood is spilled?
I want answers from the lore. it’s for scientific purposes I swear.
I love stupid lil questions like these.
Anyone have any theories?

playing on EU is bringing about questions i never had before.
paimon being really confused about traveler having memories of khaenri'ah and being 500+ years old is really confusing to me. because when they first met, traveler told her about facing the unknown god and being sealed. the exact year isn't specified, but traveler definitely hints that it's not recent, and it's been years and years.
furthermore, i'm curious about how long the twins were exploring teyvat before trying to leave. they explored the world and were there during the downfall of khaenri'ah, so it's not possible to see that before facing the unknown god.
traveler even says that their twin woke them up to tell them about khaenri'ah falling apart. but when telling this to dain and paimon, both of them seem baffled by this.
paimon and dain know the twins really well. so how is this new information to both of them? especially with dain, who seemed close to the abyss!twin for a really long time. wouldn't the abyss!twin have told him about everything that happened before the twins were split up?
something is fishy.

What kind of sweets does Mhin like?
Mhin likes delicate sweets. Their favorite is a kind of sweet fermented rice soup with sticky rice balls and dried osmanthus flowers. It’s a dish traditionally shared with family and friends, but now their only companions are stray cats…

HI escaped! so glad you opend your asks i got a couple lore questions for you, starting of with
do any of the new jersy rats characters know about the whole Tricky Ricky and giovani thing?
i like to think its a known secret that everyone (excluding arigo) knows about. but i wanna know your thoughts on it. im obsesed with this ship just because i felt the vibes in the first episode they where in and then i saw a coment in the section that confirmed it and i was just like I F*KING KNEW IT. anyway sorry if this got long again glad you opend your asks
It's an open secret, but everyone is afraid that they ever mentioned it openly (even if positive terms) that Giovanni would fuck them up, or even kill them if they were too mouthy about it.

How do y'all think Sindel found out that Mileena & Tanya are dating? I don't think Kitana Sindel though. But she might have since Kitana seemed concerned about Mileena & Tanya getting in trouble.
Or maybe Sindel saw/noticed the way Mileena & Tanya look and act around each other. Mileena and Tanya are about as subtle when it comes to their relationship as a brick in a pillowcase to face.
Which isn't a bad thing at all. It just shows how much they love each other. It's absolutely fucking cute and adorable at the same damn time.

no spoilers, please, but for re4r, is leon a bit more... ""rude"" than '05 re4?
there's moments in infinite darkness where his behaviors COULD come across as rude, like not answering the pilot and his socially awkward "okay" to patrick's concerns. but i interpret that as just a lack of social cues/skills rather than him intentionally being an asshole. since. yknow, big ol' puppy dog man who wants to help whoever he can.
realistically, would it make sense for leon to want to not come across as rude to someone when he's not in the mood to talk? say someone is chatting him up, a stranger, but he just wants to be a hermit. would it make sense for him to *attempt* to be friendly, or at least responsive? or would he just find a way to shuffle out of it lol? or be unresponsive completely like he was to that pilot?? idk lmfao
