nevermind, I lack the strength to try and do UH NG+ even with my busted icerail and 10k shards worth of blaze/chillwater. The knowledge that tomorrow I'll be able to take easily accessible pretty pictures of Aloy using tactical beyblades to kill mecha-Godzilla has totally erased by desire to continue engaging with HZD's way more forgiving combat systems.

if a skeleton gets multiple apps, what would be the deciding factor for the admins when it comes to acceptances?
hello!
because our game will have a limited cast, the main deciding factor we'll consider while reviewing apps is the potential team dynamics that might develop. a group rp is only as strong as the group, after all, so we will be considering how well the apped characters will fit among our other roles while reviewing bios, muse personalities, and wanted connections.
secondly, we look at how the SCP lore is incorporated into backstories as well as what applicants envision for their muse's future plots. while we don't expect applicants to know everything about the lore (and we'll help out players iron out any kinks if they are accepted), we'll probably be leaning towards apps that have a clearer direction in terms of a more general character arc.
and lastly, we want to see how excited people are to play in the verse and have fun with their muse! like yeah, we're going to delve deep into concepts of justice and systemic inequality that affects the execution of said justice alongside dealing with paranormal eldritch beings and the eeriness of mundane horrors, but also, are people ready to let loose and have fun? we're putting play back into roleplay, haha!
we hope these answers encourage you to apply if you haven't yet, friend! or if you are an applicant who has apped, thank you very much! 🥺💓

listen, i know nobody in deancas fandom is getting a single goddamn thing done today, so i'm issuing a challenge.
how many of us can finish off one of the countless little half-written destiel oneshots in our draft folders and post them before the day is out?

Ooooooh have you got some ideas for the monarchy restoration au?
the au was on a hiatus for all of October for more reasons than one. while I was getting used to my new schedule at school, I also took the time to finally figure out the start of the au. I got the thumbnails down, and I'm more or less happy with the script (though I do tend to make last minute changes lmao).
I don't know how long I'll take, but hopefully next time I upload a comic for the au, it will be a 4 part series of what happened after Dream's prison escape and how he actually met with George and Sapnap and landed himself in Kinoko Kingdom :)

I wonder what part tumblr will play in the future of social media. Because, and this is at least from my perspective, It seems like the path we are going is one where every few years the “colective” (Speaking broadly, there are still a lot of people on Facebook, just like there are still people in here lol) just jumps from one “popular” social media site to another.
Like it went from Facebook------»Instagram/Twitter/Tumblr etc
But now I heard Instagram is breaking down? Like people are saying instagram is all nasty and TikTok is the new place to go?
And don´t get me wrong, Instagram be messing me up with how you have to post things only with their very especific size or else the picture get´s cut.
It doesn´t help that most social medias site this days are more about consumption and making people angry (Simplistic, I know, but you get my point of showing things that make people interact and stay online more, which is usually tied to making them angry lol).
And I mean, If social media sites are thought to be less about enjoying the site itself (Since the site itself maybe no longer care about it´s users) and is seen more like a tool to make yourself profitable, ofc once they get less “popular” ppl will jump onto another one.
It´s not like they where enjoying the site anyway/need actual connections and visibility a dying site might not be able to give them.

Big news: Google has lost its first antitrust case. Via Matt Stoller:
So what happens now? In this case, the judge will come up with remedies next year. The order could be broad, and will likely loosen Google’s control over the mobile app ecosystem. Google has already announced that it will appeal, so the case isn’t over.
That said, Google is likely to be in trouble now, because it is facing multiple antitrust cases, and these kinds of decisions have a bandwagon effect. The precedent is set, in every case going forward the firm will now be seen as presumed guilty, since a jury found Google has violated antitrust laws. Judges are cautious, and are generally afraid of being the first to make a precedent-setting decision. Now they won’t have to. In fact, judges and juries will now have to find a reason to rule for Google. If, say, Judge Amit Mehta in D.C., facing a very similar fact-pattern, chooses to let Google off the hook, well, he’ll look pretty bad.

If you wanted to know just how shitty the medibang mobile app is they now have a banner ad (the one shown in the picture) that when you go to check your notications on your phone it takes you directly to some kind of weird virus/scam website. That's really cool /s
