Gonna say this rn before I forget, but personally I am of the opinion that while the Nowhere (the official name of the LN world) has a regular time continuom, the children who are brought in from different timelines/universes can pop in it at completely random points in time.
This could explain why, in the podcast, Noone did not know/understand Jester's joke, and why doctor Otto mentioned it was an old joke. Two or more children from different time periods could stand together in the Nowhere. And it could also explain why the LN universe seems to have so many different aesthetics clashing together.
I am also of the opinion that some children (pointing to Mono and the Pretender, but partially to the Refugee Boy as well) could very well be natives from the Nowhere, while most other children -- Six included -- come from other worlds. The logistics of how they get stuck in the Nowhere are unclear for now, but it seems that at some point their physical body stops being in their original universe/reality and follows them into the Nowhere which is what gets them completely trapped.

Theory of Numbers in LN
I guess I will explain myself slightly. While researching the the podcast, it got me wondering. Noone has had a part of herself in Nowhere, a part that hides secrets from herself, something that when in the waking world she says she feels a part of her is missing. So I wondered what part of her is missing. Not her body, not her mind, not her soul. The Ferryman needs her to accept Nowhere so that all of her can go thru the Halfway Point. If it was her soul crossing over then there'd be no need for her to physically cross. So I looked for a fourth option. And surprise surprise there was a fourth option.
A theory posed by a rather famous psychologist who was alive during the time period that I estimated TSON to take place during. His theory was basically the same as Otto's professor, all of them in the same line of work. And like Otto's professor, his theory was dismissed because it leaned to far into mystics. If you look hard enough you can find this.
The fourth option presented was called The Shadow. There are two shadows, the personal shadow and the collective shadow. I may talk about personal shadows in a later post, but lets skip to the collective shadow. The collective shadow is the dark side of humanity, all coming together to form something almost like a place. He called this place, this hypothetical world of the worst of humanity Unus Mundus which translates to One World, a place where past, present and future all meet. A shadow, a thing that when asked if it exists, the answer is no, but you can see your shadow! Its something that exists and yet doesn't. And how is Nowhere described by Noone? Below is a description of the Collective Shadow and world of LN before the podcast.
After that brief introduction I can finally move on to the numbers! The collective shadow was something that you could dream into, is what is stated briefly. Now in these dreams, time has no meaning in the collective shadow is what the old professor said, and in Nowhere time has no meaning either. The clocks in all games are all wrong, they are either going faster, slower or the numbers aren't even in the correct order. Go ahead and look. The clock in episode 1 of TSON, the numbers are all wrong. So then........whats the use of numbers?
Numbers in dreams, have symbolism attached to them. Each number having an Archetype attached to it. I am not going to go thru them all but I'll go thru 2 of them for now.
Number 1 Archetype- Known as the Child, the Divine or the Innocent. This is Mono, whose name can mean 1. One who has trouble willingly growing up, who is innocent not in the fact that they are good, but that they are naive, with child like tendencies. How does the Divine aspect come in?
Mono developed the ability to somehow tune the Transmission, that is his "Divine" nature of his Archetype. Moving on to Six
Number 6 Archetype- The Rebel
Does this not perfectly encapsulate Six? Her description is
She's split in two, goes to the Maw, kills the Lady, takes her power, heals herself. She overturned things without powers, now that she has some, whose gonna stop her? She is a rebel.

i listened to the new little nightmares podcast’s first two episode and here’s like a cool list of some world-building stuff that i noticed!!
- Kids who have been transported to the LN universe (The Nowhere) are having nightmares in real life. They are capable of waking up but go back to Nowhere when asleep. This poses interesting questions; what happens to the kid when they are awake? Do they just disappear from The Nowhere?
- The protagonist who’s having the nightmares, Noone, falls and gets hurt at the beginning of her first nightmare. The counselor asks her if it actually hurt to which she replies yes, but not like real pain. This is possible explanation for the insane endurance and durability we see in the LN kids.
- Noone gets these “feelings” that guide her a lot in The Nowhere, they tell her where to go next and whether or not something belongs there. When she meets another kid, a boy called Jester, she can Feel that he is another kid who isn’t from The Nowhere. When Otto (The Counselor) asks her if a Resident she sees is based on someone from her real life, she says that the feeling told her that he is not from her world
- Noone points out that the passageways that can be found all throughout The Nowhere are too small for The Residents, she thinks that they must’ve been made by kids for kids.
- Otto really starts to get invested once Noone mentions that she encountered The Ferryman, at the beginning of the second episode he says that “his dear Cece”, possibly his child?? also knew The Ferryman. Putting a fat bookmark in that one. Whoever Cece is also had a spiral necklace that Otto keeps with him.
- Visitors to the Nowhere possibly change the longer they are there. Noone describes how Jester, a boy who introduces himself by saying he’s known for telling jokes, will set up a joke then forget the punchline, as if he’s now missing a part of himself.
- Residents can talk! I know the Lore Nuts like me already knew this but it’s interesting hearing more dialogue from them. Noone walks in on a big area with lots of merchants selling stuff, a Resident buys soap to “ wash their loathsome/abhorred skin.” (this could be wrong lol it was very british and quiet and there’s no transcript yet but i’m pretty sure it was a word with a negative connotation) very interesting to me.
this isn’t all because i could talk about LN for probably days if you let me so i’m ending it here!! i’m so hyped for this podcast and LN3 :)

No I think we should absolutely hold them accountable, so by all means please talk shit! I think it also helps not to put these people on a pedestal because they are still people and human, modern day court jesters. Definitely helps curb expectations and they won’t disappoint you.
I have talked about the situation with Rege and Nicola a couple of times. This is a summary of the shitstorm that happened the day she snubbed Rege in a video for Kris fucking Jenner of all people. The post that started it all and a follow up ask. I lost all respect for Nicola when this happened. It’s the way she brags about the diversity of the show while simultaneously shading her fellow co-star of colour and not hyping them up. So I just don’t engage anymore.
As for Newts, I don’t really want to comment on that case. I’ve gone this long without talking about it and I don’t intend to start now. It’s an incredibly complex and nuanced case which was messy on both sides. Everyone and their mother has weighed in on it, I don’t think my opinion is needed or going to add anything new to the conversation. It’s iffy that he does still follow him but I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

That doesn't necessarily confirm anything. There are absolutely malicious dick weasels on LD who take any screencap they can wildly out of context. Jester's gang knows that as well as you do and they were probably trying to avoid it since they have been in LNs crosshairs for a while now. When people are looking for dirty on you the best thing you can do is keep conversation with them to a minimum.

Yo! I want to start off to say that none of the art that will be posted here is mine. If I'm being honest, I'm not much of a ln artist and unless I mention it, all of the art/photos here come from some pretty talented people.
Anyways, now, onto the real post! I want to introduce myself to whoever stumbled onto my page. My real name will be hidden for now, but I do go by Daydream, Clown, Dream, or any alternative to clown you got. Jester... Mariette... Harlequin... the fool... the whole damn circus.. etc! I'm 23 years old, mexican, and I'm Nonbinary. Pronouns are She/They. Oh, and I'm pagan! Now I won't go into what my favorite damn color is or anything like that, but I hope that within time, I get to meet some cool people, and they get to know me a bit. Kk, byeeeeee : )

Also guys, about the locations of the podcasts: they are real places. 100%. They are real places somewhere in the Nowhere - most importantely, somewhen.
Prophetic dreams are very real in Little Nightmares and they are things that often happen: however, I do not believe this is yet the case for Noone. She describes feeling sensations and smells multiple times, something that can only happen if the plane of reality one is in is... well. Real. She also describes feeling Jester's presence as she does with Otto's, who is a real person in the real world alongside her. The fact that Noone isn't currently fully there yet doesn't necessarely mean the places aren't real.
Now, whether she's visiting the past versions of some already existing locations is up to debate (COUGH THE BATHHOUSE COUGH), and that locations and habitants of said locations can be parallels to some already existing ones, but the only certainty we have at this point is that these other places that are being described and witnessed by Noone are real places somewhere. After all, the Nowhere is an incredibly vast place of which we have explored incredibly little.
Would it be so surprising if the places Noone visits are separate from the, like, 3 ones we have visited?
(map is from LN II, the school, and is supposedly rappresenting a region of which we only see a single city.)
And another thing, actually: I have seen many compare the Lady to the Woman in Chains, but honestly, after reading through the transcript of the first episode of TSON made by @softichill... the two sound like the complete opposite of each other, appearence and behaviour wise.
The Woman in Chains is described as having a "stretched back face", therefore causing her to have wrinkles due to how her face is structured, which explains Noone talking about her as being "both old and young". There is no concealing, no mask, nothing to hide her face. She doesn't live in secrecy like the Lady does -- quite the contrary, infact.
And about features: in both her forms, the Lady's face looks the opposite of hers. Either completely relaxed, or... nearly like it's melting.
I have also seen some people try to claim that the "familiar outfit" as a reference to the Lady's kimono, but you must remember who the narrator is. The outfit is familiar to Noone. Not us. It is likely that the Woman is wearing either a nun's dress (Noone mentions seeing three laying on a bed in the Prisoner's bedroom) or something Noone might have seen from the institution she's kept in.
While the Lady does thrive in her occupation, she doesn't necessarely take joy in it like the Woman in Chains (Prison Ward, atp) does. For the Lady, it's much more a matter of survival. She is on the Maw because it's convenient, see as she's in a powerful position. The Woman in Chains is instead happily preparing torture devices to haunt the Prisoners with.
Some parallels are certainly there. Referring to them as being, even metaphorically, the same person... it would mean that the team wrote a very bad analogy. They are nothing alike in any other aspect BUT their occupation. Funnily enough, you could say the Thin Man and the Signal Tower operate in a near identical manner to both these places. He's also the living center/battery of his own mechanism.
Noone also mentions that the Workers seem to be made of shadows, similarly to the Shadow Children. However, it is also evident that these beings are different, as they work and can hold objects much like the nomes. Later, when she meets a living child, she notes that they have black goo in their hair that moves like shadows. If that's the same material the Workers are made of, then this would make them some sort of liquid entities.
Lastly, about the inhabitants themselves: no one else in this Prison is here because they want to be. The Prisoners are not like the Guests, who come on the Maw willingly. The Workers are mindless beings, unlike the Nomes who draw and the Shadow Kids who play just like children. The child and Noone want to leave... and that's understandable.
My friend @chorusofkhonshu smartly pointed this out, so I'm just gonna copy and paste what he said word for word.
"So I thought, if these creatures are made of liquid, it has to come from somewhere. So my mind wandered to the prisoners, their purpose. Perhaps like the Maw and Signal Tower need to absorb people. The Signal Towers thru TVs and the Maw thru the Lady. What if those prisoners are only alive to be bled dry so long as they live. Noone smells the prisoner rotting. All those prisoners have to share some purpose, they might be tortured. Some device that the lady there has. She uses straps and cranks. Masks with spikes in the mouth. It runs on tortured souls."
And just as Noone mentions later on:
Swelling.
If anything... rather than paralleling Six's journey, Noone seems to be living it backwards. Completely backwards.

I would, could, and should write permanent mcd. It's always really funny seeing people react to character death in fics. But also I got unreasonably nervous writing YD!Karl's very temporary death in chapter 6 imagining audience reactions, so I can only imagine how a proper character death would leave me.
As for canon universe... probably not? I don't think so, just because I don't actually know the SMP's canon history or anything. All I know is the broad strokes of everything. I remember writing canon fic for the LN Gift Exchange and being so stressed getting things just right. Like I'd do it if someone asked, but I'll write about anything if someone asks. I'm a court jester.
