I started this thought on Twitter and now I'm going to continue here.

It's very likely that my theory is wrong, but the more I think about it, the more sense it makes.

All good! This probably won't make sense at first, but let's keep an open mind for my first theory that came from scratch since I didn't see anyone talking about it.

The first thing I will point out is Wukong's glowing eyes in the scene of his battle against Macaque, I know many will say that he is only using golden vision, but his expression is so apathetic! So, the guy is LITERALLY breaking the face of the most important living being in his life, he should at least be looking furious like Macaque himself is in the scene!

Returning to the main part of the exposition, which does not fit with the expressions he normally makes when he is fighting seriously (example in season 3 in the fight against lbd, and in season 4 in the fight against Azure)

Wukong is expressive in these moments of struggle, he has a tendency to show his teeth and leave his eyebrows furrowed.

This is an expression he doesn't get when he's under lbd's control.

And in the scene we have of his fight against Macaque.

This theory of mine became even stronger when I remembered David Breen's tweet (one of the guys who participated in the production of lmk's script) talking about we only saw Macaque's point of view, but not the entire story (I lost the tweet and couldn't find it, so if you don't consider that part I'll understand, If I find it, I will respond)

I have managed to finished my Fanart of The Corrupted King(and also known as Sun Wukong), I Loved when he was all in Blue💙 So I thought of drawing him along with MK and the Others, Since I really Loved the season 3 Episodes, so I included them as well👀🙌🏼 Sorry if it took so long, I’ve been so busy lately, I hope you guys like my drawing☺️✨

Did...did Macaque take MK to the old battlefield where Wukong KILLED him?! If so, that is incredibly fucked up. Also suitably poetic because Macaque fully intended to kill Wukong in that fight. What better place to do it than the place where Macaque died?

And I don't know when else I'd be able to bring this up but I've been obsessed with the weapons in the foreground of the second image. Given that these are weapons that neither monkey habitually use (or any of the other pilgrims for that matter), this implies that there were other people present for this battle other than them. The only question is WHO was present.

HOW DO LMK CHARACTER REACT TO... S/O DYING/DEATH

PART ONE: Sun Wukong

You would probably get heavily injured during the battle against LBD, having a blast of ice stabbed into your side. It doesn’t help when your lover, under the control of LBD, also threw your body onto the ground with such force that it broke a few bones inside your body, puncturing your insides.

You weren’t able to think straight at all as the grip on your weapon was slowly becoming loose and the blood from your wound started to create a thick pool of iron

But the fight was beautiful as you watched from your deathbed. The defeat of LBD, the return of your lover from her deadly grasp, and the world being saved by your friends helped eased the pain you were in.

It made you sleep, very sleep as the battle came to an end. You closed your eyes and your breathing became short and shallow. It was cold but the warmth of the quick memories flashing in your mind helped you be calm as a bright light approached you.

Once the battle came to an end, SWK and the rest of the reincarnated JTTW gang desperately tried to find you in the rubble of the partially destroyed city. He was desperate to find his lover, given that despite being possessed, he could still feel and see everything through his jail cell of what he called his mind. He needed to know that you were safe and alive given the wound you were suffering with.

After what seemed like an eternity, Pigsy and MK were the ones to find you. Facing towards the sky, eyes closed, a faint smile on your lips, and the weapon you were using to fight LBD resting on your chest. The ice spike that impaled you was slowly dripping water and blood into the pool that had formed earlier.

SWK scrambled to your side and gently cupped your face in his hands. “No, no, no, no. Come on Peaches. Wake up.” He pleaded. “You can’t fall asleep as we’re about to celebrate! We won.”

MK and Pigsy, through their tears, watched in pain as Wukong continued to talk to you, gently shaking you as if you were just in a really deep slumber. After some time, Pigsy and MK tried to pull Wukong off of you.

But Wukong was not going to let you go that easily, not when you were just sleeping! You were only sleeping! Why was that so hard for Pigsy and MK to see…

Wukong didn’t want to cry. He had to act tough, he needed to maintain… some dignity. But the tears were already spilling from his eyes as he clutched onto you. He pulled your limp body into his chest and hugged you like there was no tomorrow.

“Please… please just wake up. I can’t lose you either…” Wukong whispered as he held onto you. “I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.

Part Two: Pigsy

DRAGONFRUIT CRUMBS IT IS A WONDERFUL DAY

I just LOVED this scene here! Monkey King finally admits he has no clue what he's doing and apologizes for it. He doesn't make a joke or dismiss things, he states clearly his regrets while also showing his vulnerable state to MK. He actually said his name (seriously, this is only the second time he has)! That's how you can see how much Monkey King cares about MK. It's so adorable and I hope to see more of this is season 4!

A/N: You people would not believe how many Sapphire Polyweb requests I have sitting in my ask-box assdhfkjdshf it's ok I love them too! Burnout has me in its grippers but I think I can spare some headcanons. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - I imagine the Mayor maintains his normally creepy personality 24/7, which helps him dodge the LBD's suspicions that anything's amiss. He still feels honor-bound to his lady, but it is rather conflicting that he wants to hold you and the spiders gently and give you all kisses. - Does he have a few scrapbooks with wedding ideas? Maybe. It gets boring sometimes when the spider demons are off getting their asses handed to them by the Monkie Crew and you're off busy making sure they don't get completely murdered. - Taking this time to point out that the Mayor used to be an Emperor's Chief of War...and normally in Chinese dramas it's the Chief of War that either makes or breaks an empire by either joining the rebels or defending their monarch until their last breath. Just some food for thought. - In the grand scheme of the polycule I can see the Mayor trying to keep an eye on everyone since, at the very least, you would be upset if anything happened to them. Which is gonna get complicated when LBD's plans finally hit, but I have my theory on how that would shake out! - We don't actually know if the spider demons were necessary for the Bone Mech, so I'm imagining that rather than killing the Spider Demons (as is what we think happened), he probably teleported them to a liminal realm he controls where no one can access without his permission. You, of course, would be brought there as well. The Spider Queen was the trickiest to scoop out of danger, especially with the Lady Bone Demon right there. He had to time the portal to be just beneath the surface of the trigram's contents, there was likely some damage she sustained despite his precaution. - Everyone is still very. Very horrified because from their perspective the Mayor just decided "die <3", which cemented their worst fears about him - They get it, you love him too so he as to be included, but even with months of living with him, going on group dates with him, and having him sometimes hang around the base he still gives them the heebie jeebies - Spider Queen probably had it the worst, she got dragged into the furnace and likely has serious burn wounds all over her body - Sure, the Mayor says he never planned to hurt them, but it's a bit hard to reconcile with just how well he was able to finesse his lady with a straight face - Imagining after LBD was defeated he went to stay with you and the spider demons in his little liminal realm. Probably start trying to make it less liminal and more...habitable. - Imagining a nice three-story home that no one but the Mayor can enter or exit freely (he has to keep you safe after all), but if you look out the windows it's picturesque forestry - Don't mind about food, he'll just bring you some! - "My Lady said she desires a perfect world, but she has not had time yet to see how perfect all of your imperfections are! We simply must give it time, I am sure I will be able to sway her mind."

When I saw the finale of Season 3 LMK, I Love the ending so much! And There were So many Awesome moments I just love them All!😭🥺 So I thought of drawing MK and LBD scene(as she disappears), I feel bad for her even tho She is a villain, I hope you guys like my Fanart and looking forward to the next Season(and Arc) of Monkie Kid 👀😆🙌🏼✨
