ok SO i honestly haven’t ever really delved into the “kaylor” rumours before but my roommate started showing me some reddit threads on the topic and now i’m curious about your opinion on the matter (not sure if you’ve stated your opinion on this before and i’ve just missed it….i personally still feel skepticism about the whole thing and it feels a bit…intrusive? idk though, tell me ur thoughts!)

Hi Caro!! I am in fact a veteran of Making Fun Of K*ylor lmao. (censoring cause I'm afraid of showing up in certain tags LMAOOO)

I'm pretty well-read on the subject and have come across veeeeeery little honestly compelling evidence, and anything compelling is like ... only from 2014/15 (and the Ks I "followed" still believed they're a thing less than a year ago). I used to compile my favourite reaches and show them to my mom lmao.

The entire mainstream theory (mainstream being the big blogs on tumblr) evolved from arguments like "Taylor has a more natural chemistry with Karlie than with Calvin" to kind of absolutely batshit conspiracies after the 2016 election cause OOPS! Karlie was dating the president's son in law. A lot of them were so bad at criticizing the Kushners normally without making everything seem cartoonish at best, and very antisemitic at worst.

But I haven't kept up with it more or less since Karlie announced her pregnancy and a the whole theory was massively destabilized lmao.

Also I might not know everything. If you can link me to the specific threads I can talk about my assessment of that specific evidence, cause it kind of varies WIDELY in terms of how plausible it is to me.

It's definitely invasive to a certain degree, and Taylor has actually over the years in more as well as less subtle ways expressed her discomfort with it. But I also don't exactly fault people for kind of falling victim to wishful thinking cause a lot of them are just trying to relate to the world and to people they look up to. Ultimately, I think the biggest damage they do is to themselves by kind of deprogramming their critical thinking skills, as conspiracy-like behavior often leads to.

I just watched Wandavision Ep 3 and I have thoughts

my head, once again, is spinning. but at least I found the Wandavision theme from episode 2 on spotify and I’m vibing. Anyways let’s get to the reviewing!

There will be spoilers from this point on, so enter with caution

- let’s start by discussing that adorable intro sequence?

- loving the brady bunch inspo

- im living for fluffy, domestice wanda and vision

- the theme is going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the week i just know

- the closing circle thing at the end was a hexagon? infinity stone reference?

- i am thriving with the ‘70s aesthetic oh my god wanda looks amazing with the long straight hairrr

- i am in love with ‘70s vision no i will not elaborate

- the breathing exercises were sending me

- her pregnancy was so accelerated, was that tommy? and the way her powers were freaking out, could that be billy?

- dad vision is so adorable im dying

- the way herb was just stuck cutting through the wall? honestly a bit creepy

- the nursery literally made me melt, i wanna pretend this is just a happy sitcom without the bad stuff

- the commercial break was the hydra bath thing?

- VISION DOESNT HAVE SUPER SPEED WHY IS HE SUPER SPEEDING?

- (could wanda have given vision pietro’s powers?)

- when wanda rewinded (rewound?) i literally thought my tv was glitching lmao

- it was super unsettling, watching vision slowly realize that something is wrong, and the neighbors but i’ll get back to that

- let’s talk about monica geraldine and her visit because marvel really fed us with that

- when wanda said “i had a twin” and said pietro with her accent my heart literally shattered

- IT’S BEEN SIX YEARS AND 12 MOVIES AND MARVEL HAS FINALLY MENTIONED PIETRO AGAIN

- the twins!!

- wanda is so scary, like when monica geraldine said that thing about ultron

- the sword necklace omggg

- i can honestly see potential for wanda to be the villain, but like an unwitting villain

- she really expelled monica geraldine back into the real world i-

- ok but back to what i was saying about the neighbors, i dont trust them, especially not agnes

- i feel like they’re (or at least agnes, maybe dottie ?) trying to keep wanda trapped, like how agnes admonished herb for nearly telling vision

- i think monica geraldine was actually trying to help wanda and snap her out of it

- i think the town was trying to influence her with the whole “for the children” chant into making wanda have the twins so mephisto could steal them

anyway, that’s all for now folks! next week’s ep is the ‘80s, based on full houe which is a bit weird to think about bc elizabeth olsen, mary kate and ashley, you know all that. See you guys next week!
