Situada na Rua das Carmelitas, 144, nas proximidades da Torre dos Clérigos, a Lello & Irmão (além de Editora) é considerada como uma das mais belas livrarias do mundo.

Atualmente, ela atrai milhões de escritores e turistas em todo mundo. Só em 2018, o prédio recebeu mais de um milhão de visitantes. It is popular with fans of Harry Potter books, as it was repeatedly visited by Joan Rowling during her work in Porto as an English teacher and supposedly served as a prototype of the shop of magic books “Flourish and Blotts”

So this morning I was at Livraria Lello. The bookstore in Porto that inspired Joanne K. Rowling. With its curved staircase inn the middle, the stained glass ceiling lights and it’s elaborate wooden carvings it is truly a beautiful and magical place.
