#pjo show crit #i feel like the stakes are not as- stakesy #maybe it’s just me though #but the fight scenes just aren’t that exciting for me?#i plunge to my death is my Favourite tlt chapter and a lot of that stems from the silliness of why they went up in the first place #to echidna being quietly unsettling with her dog #to grover being anxious af because of the heights thing and percy being quietly supportive with his jelly beans #to the momentary relatable panic when you can’t all fit in the lift #and that very rapid devolvement into realising that Oh Shit Monster #AND BREAKING THAT TENSION WITH THE ANTEATER LINE #and the fight scenes and how he was panicking and she was taunting him with the ‘why have faith in the gods?’#the Dread when he hits the collar and the burning pain of the unexpected sting #TO THE VERY LAST LINE WHERE HE JUMPS OUT AND PRAYS TO POSEIDON #anywyas #just had to get that off my chest

So I've been trying to figure out the lore of ace attourney and in the mean time I'll offer this as my first contribution

#ace attourney #phoenix wright #miles edgeworth #so far i understand that this guy became a defense attourney in an attempt to meet with someone he hasn't seen since fourth grade #and that he ate a poisoned necklace and somehow defeated the guy that caused the other guys fathers death using a parrot and metal detector #the guy he did all this for apparently accidentally fakes his own death and returns a year later #the defence attourney APPARENTLY ALSO falls through a burning bridge into a river notorious for killing people #and the other guy CHATERS A JET TO SEE HIM #oh I also understand that at some point the defense attourney gets disbarded for like 7 years and adopts a magician girl #I don't understand much more #LIKE I REMEMBER WATCHING SOMEONE PLAY IT LIKE 5 YEARS AGO BUT I DON'T RECALL THIS GAME BEING T H I S UNHINGED #AND I LOVE IT #in all seriousness could someone please fill me in on the ace attourney lore or at the very least direct me where i can find an explanation #as to what is going on #thank you for your time

I have never seen any author complain about this but i would totally understand if someone would be annoyed that their readers are seeing romance when they intentionally didn't include that.

#i was thinking back to a comment i received and they wrote ''L/Ethe'' which made me realise that some people will inevitably #interpret the story as romantic at some point or with a romantic resolution which spoiler alert (not really) i'm not going to write #that fic is not about romantic love. and after all Ethe will do to L - he would rather be burned alive than being near her #cuz that would be less painful. it's not even going to be ''oh wow yes toxic ship!!'' cuz i am trying to write a realistic story here #and people irl don't want to stay together with someone who treated them like shit for years and ruined their trust in people yk #so yeah. i'm not personally annoyed but if you read it like that. i think you'll miss a lot of the themes i am discussing #i even made Ethe say that L thinks it's just a childish rivalry but it's much more than that so yeah... lmao #in general though. while shipping is totally fine. i think people that look at any story that doesn't have romance as the main focus #like that are not going to get all aspects #this is me being annoying but i think this heavily applies to death note as well cuz you are going to interpret any action as #obsessive toxic love & that takes a lot from the story itself #that's why i also tend to talk more about ''dynamics'' than ''ships'' even when the romantic love is there.#d.exe

finished my third playthrough and the game still has this tiny bug that makes the narrator say my durge killed astarion right before he appears on screen for the last romance scene haha

#hinc plays bg3 #when this happened at the end of my first playthrough I nearly got a heart attack thinking the sun burned him to death or something #I'm pretty sure this is related to my durge getting the slayer form after the ketheric boss fight #like my guess is there are probably only two stages in the code for a player who has the slayer form at the start of act 3 #and neither of them take into account the fact that you can still get it if isobel gets kidnapped and dies in the boss fight later #I should probably report this but I'm afraid they'll be like oh shit you're not actually supposed to be able to do that #and remove a major part from grim's canon storyline in the next patch lmao
