You know, I’d really like to know more about chronic headaches and migraines. I don’t know that most of my headaches really fit the migraine definition, but I’m not sure if it’s my high pain tolerance/ability to block out pain or if there’s something different at play. I usually have no idea what kind of headache is going on, and then sometimes the pain is just...weird and depresses my will to do anything without necessarily escalating or being the primary problem going on. (sometimes I can’t even tell you where the pain is except for “my head,” and it seems like describing where the pain is coming from is a big thing for doctors?)

 I’m hesitant to label what’s going on because I really don’t know what’s happening and struggle to put my own pain into words, but it’s a fine line between “accurately describing what’s going on, including the severity or lack thereof of pain” and “don’t want to downplay how much this affects me.” I get headaches multiple times a week, which is a lot less than I used to, and it’s been a while since I had headaches every other day. Now it’s more like every 3-4 days, with longer and shorter stretches. But I have had awful headaches and most headaches are just routine! Even filling out pain scales is hard because honestly a lot of the time the sensation of pain isn’t the primary problem.

More so than anything, he’d be surprised. He’s 1,95m tall, muscular and brooding. And yet here you are putting his face in your hands, calling him the most handsome man you’ve ever met. It’s not unwelcome, just not something he ever thought he’d have in his life. He expected to be the big, scary protector of his partner for the rest of his life, but having someone want to take care of him like that? Don’t get me wrong, it feels nice, but it also feels somewhat weird to him. He should be the big scary guard dog. While he may not be good with feelings, either his or those of others, he could always lend a listening ear. And yet you kiss his scars, reassure him that you will always stay by his side, no matter what and will tuck him into bed even. At first he doesn’t trust any of this, thinking you to be too nice to him, but eventually he’ll realize that there are no ulterior motives, that you are just like that towards him. And after some time, he’ll start melting into you, growing to trust you more and more each day. Simon would become a bit softer with you, would walk through fire just so he can see you smile. But you reassure him that no such thing is necessary. He may not ever be sure when it would be appropriate for you, but he’d come to crave your touch more and more as time goes on, even going as far as trapping you in the most tender hug he can muster. Sometimes he fantasizes about laying his head in your lap with you playing with his hair a bit, but he wouldn’t admit to such out loud since he still has his pride. You being protective over him would also be weird to him. He can handle himself just fine, so why are you getting mad at the cashier for the pickle in his burger? Why are you arguing with the drunkard wanting to start a fight with him? He won’t know what to do, no one’s ever protected him from anything ever since he was a little child. It would warm his heart a bit and make him appreciate you even more. Sure, he can do just fine on his own, but he’d be lying if he said his heart wouldn’t skip a beat whenever you’re being protective over him. If he could, he’d just pick you up bridal style and carry you home, but you’re in public so he’ll only think about how much he wants to be your little spoon this entire time. He’ll let his guard down around you and show you that he, too, can be a softer guy underneath his rough exterior with in the most domestic ways out there. He’ll think about marrying you immediately once he’s aware that he’s essentially become a softer man thanks to you. But he’ll wait still until he’s sure you’re on board as well.

I can’t remember what canon is like (and there’s so many different versions of canon anyways) but there’s a lot of Spiderman fics where he’s talking to someone he knows as both Peter Parker and Spiderman but they don’t know his secret and there’ll be this lil convo where they’re like “oh did you talk to [his other identity] about that?”

And a good majority of the time he’ll say yes instead of pretending like the two identities just never interact

And I just really really want to know how people think those convos go, like do they think they’re friendly to each other? do they think Peter harasses Spiderman like the paparazzi harass stars? do they think Peter’s just trying to get a couple of pics and Spidey traps him to have someone to tell all his jokes to?

How do people imagine those conversations going???

I really want to take somebody into like an abandoned building and chase them the fuck down, you know? It’s so much more scary that way, neither of us know the layout, you won’t know where any hiding places are, I’ll get frustrated trying to find you and it’ll only make me more determined, and then I fuck you into the floor when I finally catch you. hello! 👀 due to a number of things happening off-screen for me i would say that i'm currently in "fucking around" mode without a huge number of actual tangible projects going on? like im doing a lot of "open new doc > write down vague idea > add 1,000 odd words > don't finish the project" which. doesn't feel great. but hey ho.

the biggest thing is that i'm doing a merlin big bang and am trying to wrap up the details of that project because i've committed now, except i can't give any details about because it all needs to stay anonymous 😅 either way that'll be out in like, august!

yeah in terms of other fandoms that i have written more stuff more in the past im just sorta,,,, languishing i guess??? like i'm still writing but it's really hard to be excited about WIPs and tell people & have them get excited and then just never finishing anything 🤷

hi friends so i was totally absent yesterday because i was having an awful, awful reaction to getting my flu shot rifp. my only focus was trying to not get sick all day so i couldn't do anything let alone write uihgreitj i feel MUCH better today but because i couldn't take my meds yesterday my birth control is making my life still difficult so not sure anything's going to really happen today either! lot of chilling out trying to recover and relax. best way to get anything from me today is writing or chatting with me on discord!
