imagine being so miserable to the point have to go to the lengths of insulting people for making content that involves women and trying to justify it as being ‘anti man’ when it so clearly isnt.
its not inherently creepy to like women. it is not inherently predatory to like women. people are not inherently invading spaces by liking women or acknowledging their existence. media including women is not inherently lesser it is not inherently taboo it is not something that needs to be exonerated for the crime of having women in it.
telling people not to make content about women is misogynistic, inherently. it is not feminist. ask yourself why you think people should jump through hoops to prove their content about women is valid when people get to make art and stories about men all the time.
why do men get to be the default but you need to justify art and media having women? why are you making people justify including women in their art? because that’s what youre doing and all youre getting out of this faux righteous reactionary tirade is making sure there’s less for women. rot.

can we take a moment to talk about how amazing it was that steven starts seeing a therapist in suf? like i've never seen this in children's media. traumatized characters almost never go to therapy. they get good friends and the evil villain is defeated, so their trauma is just kind of pushed aside. some characters get a good arc that allows us to believe that they healed from their trauma. others just brush it under the rug.
but it's so important to let kids know that therapy isn't taboo, it's not this thing that's only reserved for "crazy" people. that's why i hate it when people say that suf "solved everything with a hug" bc they clearly didn't. the hug was there to let steven know that he was not going through this alone, and that he had the support of his loved ones. which is important.
i just appreciate so much that they mention the fact that he's going to therapy in the last episode, and also have him move away from the place that caused him so much trauma, so that he can start anew and start healing. and it upsets me so much that people ignore this to bash on suf for being "unrealistic". this is as realistic and optimistic as you could get.

it's such an ick to be seeing people that are actually just creeps and fucked up people using mental illness and mental disorders, like ADHD, Autism, Etc., to defend themselves and blame their personality and horrible actions on that and it's just so fucking gross. like it's shit like that that ruins any good reputation people that actually have those disorders/illnesses ever get to build up

I will say that person-first language is good in situations dealing with stereotyped conditions or words ie: saying a person has addiction issues rather than calling them an alcoholic. But if a provider tries to correct me saying "I'm disabled," I'll tear my skin off.

im just so fucking sick of journeys man..... we're 127 episodes in and jessie hasnt caught a new pokemon. id thought they would have made her caught the chewtle that loved her hair but nooooooo 🤦♀️ not to mention james' relationship with morpeko is fucking nothing. the episode where they caught it was cute but then never actually built upon!!! morpeko is just THERE eating shit. in jn127 james didn't even bother to send morpeko out!!! like james isn't even giving their own pokemon battle experience because of that gacha machine...... i know morpeko is a pain in the ass to send out but that's part of the charm of team rocket (especially james') pokemon. it takes a lot of work to get them to listen when they need to. but in journeys james isn't even trying to improve things with morpeko, they're just keeping it in its pokeball during battles and keeping it out just to eat.....
