do you think that what the doctor usually feels for companions, rather than romantic or sexual attraction, might just be idolisation?

#i turn 27 tomorrow and i feel like my life is collapsing in around me #i officially made the decision to take the summer off. which i hate. which means i have to get a summer job #when ive only ever had jobs in academia so my resume looks insane if im applying to work in a bakery or whatever #im just so tired. everything makes me so tired and sad. i still dont kno what im gonna do #im glad my dad is here bc he gets it more than most ppl bc hes also dyslexic and like everyone assumes im fine bc ive got this far #but like at what cost? im doing a job where im set up to suffer. and for what? im doing something so niche and weird #all i can do is more academia. but what if i cant cut it? what if i would b better off getting a epa job or something where i can do my job #and then go home and stop thinking abt it. how do i apply the stupid bullshit i decided to study? i should have done Ecosystem restoration #or something. its just that my dream was to study weird things in weird places and now it feels like that dream is collapsing #which is devastating. im gonna try to come back in the fall and give it a go but like i dunno it feels so hopeless rn #im just so tired. i have no joy. i just want to lay on the floor #unrelated

#i mean.... i could #this isnt the first time ive thought of doing it but i drop ocs so easily its not even funny. so idk if itd be worth it #id consider toyhouse or smth but i dont have money lol. right now everythings on artfight but thats more for drawing purposes #what ocs would i even talk abt... i have some standalones like auggie and ocs i think look cool but dont plan on using #but some others have their own stories.. not like a huge thought out plot but something i pick up and twirl around in my head #like luckys whole deal is being a hiking guide who accidentally gets tied up with some werewolves pretending to be a hiking group to eat pp #and then i have the magician rivals. although i kinda wanna tie theirs with the nightguard and thief story ive been cooking. maybe in the #same universe? it would be pretty funny if they lived in the same apartment complex since a couple stories i have in mind revolve around th #its like some sort of omnibus or anthology to me. kicks my feet #and then fan characters like xin ya and sleight who i want to have their own expanded lore and stuff. i think that would be cool #im making crow a powerpoint of xins updated lore but the assignmence are making it hard. hopefully it turns out good though #i have a hard time writing personality and xins is always the hardest bc theyre probably the least like me. i tend to stick to #characters similar to myself to get in their head. but bc their backstory affects their personality so strongly i have to do some thinking #anyway. hopefully i remember this later #yapping #oc #oc talk #ive also been playing neko atsume recently for nostalgia and why did we as a society ever stop playing it. its so chill #you just take pictures of silly little cats and leave them silly little toys and treats. and the music is cute

Do u know how fucking funny i could be if i ever decided to write a Father of the Bride (the 1991 one specifically) AU. Like,,,ik thats a rather niche AU but like,,,i could. Father of the Bride would work EXTREMELY well as an au.

Lemme explain: this could be a no capes au OR just a canon divergence post Red Robin 2009 bc i never read further past that bc it didnt spark joy

Tim comes back from overseas after doing a business trip for Bruce as a 21 yr old (letting my boy outta dc's forever 17 basement) or going off to college as like,,,a CompSci student for a whole year and now has to break it to his fam he's engaged to a really sweet herpetologist (or geneticist either/or works bc wow he was WEIRD as hell too why was this 14/15 yr old reading about genetic sciences) aka my LOVE Danny Temple that he met at college. bonus points he's the first one in the fam to make the leap for marriage bc thats SO fucking funny (i only do things for comedy)

Post-RR Era canon divergence au Tim decides he needs to take some time and figure out his head bc oh god my boy was a MESS holy shit and somehow (hes a nosey ass/affectionate) ends up in Kobra Cult messes and reconnects to his old friend Danny Temple. Fast forward at least several wacky hijinks, a Danny Tim Road Trip 2.0, long distance pining, some personal crises, emotional revelations and like,,2 years later, tim brings danny home for dinner and hopefully not a funeral bc they both decided they wanted each others disaster selves. More shenanigans.
