Theory: Merlins, Morgaines, Oaths
Thinking... thinking. .. what if the way for a Merlin to break an unbreakable Oath is to die - and come back? "
Bear with me.
- The name Natasia can mean 'resurrection' (or 'born on Christmas', which is unrelated lol).
- Selwyn’s second name, Emrys, means 'Immortal.'
- Not sure which exact Celtic knot Sel has tattooed on his chest, but if it's the triquetra below, as some have suggested, this symbol represents the never-ending loop of life, death, rebirth - see a theme?
Tumblr media
I've maintained for a while that Natasia is Morgana/Morgaine/Morgan Le Faye-coded, specifically per the earlier depictions of Morgana that painted her as Arthur's benevolent protector, a healer, a scholar, and a shapeshifter over and above being a sorceress. We see Natasia take on these roles - protecting the Scion of Arthur - unknowingly Faye - being a scholar as mentioned by Sel, potentially healing him, and ofcourse she's a powerful sorceress.
Why does this matter? Because in some versions of the legend, Morgana is a student of necromancy, ie magic that involves death and resurrecting the dead, communing with them etc. but is also a catch all term for 'black magic' that's frowned upon or whatever.
Given that Erebus' nickname for Natasia is Nyx, Greek Goddess of the Night, I think it's possible Natasia practices a form of sorcery that she could have used in order to die and return, thereby nullifying the oaths that drive demonia. What if Sel ends up following the same path to be cured? What if that's why she didn't promise that Sel would be cured at all, because it's too dangerous?
Could be interesting.
Anyways just thought to share a theory, if you have other thoughts and ideas, I'm always open to discussion and geeking out together 🤯💭🤔🧐😵
See the link below for further reading on Morgan Le Faye in literature - this is such a worthwhile read, I highly recommend it! Both for Legendborn fans who are curious about the Morgaines (as I am) and for Arthuriana fans in general.

🚨 Crackpot Theory Alert!!! 🚨
So the night of the first Oath (Fealty, when Bree becomes Nick’s Page,) Lord Davis explains the whole “body politic” metaphor etc. He then says that before being accepted as a Page for the chapter, each Page-select needs to speak their family’s name:
Tumblr media
The wording is so interesting; it sounds like the aether of the Oath could know a person, make a connection based on the name they speak & the blood their body holds.
Which makes me wonder— what would have happened if Bree had spoken her mother’s name instead of her father’s? Maybe nothing, since Nick effectively stopped the aether from going into her body to seal the Oath, but maybe not.
We know from Sarah that the name folks go by in this universe is the name that aligns them to the Order, not common patriarchal surnaming conventions (Sar’s last name is Griffiths & if that’s her Venezuelan papi’s surname, I’ll eat my hat lol.)
Would the plot of the book have fallen apart if Bree had (unknowingly) outed herself as the Scion of Arthur by speaking her mother’s name?
She says that Nick’s quick thinking saved them during the Oath, but I don’t think that’s the only thing that could have blown her cover that night.

I had this Legendborn/Bloodmarked thought that upset me and I’d like to share
Been thinking about Sel admiring, yet quietly being jealous of the casual affection and quiet love people show each other in small gestures. He’d see it from afar. How couples/people who loved each other would entwine or press arms together in physical contact, smoothing back their friend’s hair as it blows in the wind, sharing warmth huddled in the cold together and wiping a crumb off their partner’s face after a meal. But then Sel would catch himself staring and look away quickly, thinking to himself how it must be to share such casual affection. The lack of words but the reassurance that somebody cared, all within those small actions.
And Sel never had nor shared nor been given those small acts of physical love. His touch was always taught to be in acts of casual violence, in the threat of what he could do with the power coiled up inside him. And from such a young age too, he grew to understand his own touch as something to be given out of punishment or rage.
And seeing Bree he’d wistfully think of the casual affection he wanted to show her. He wanted to wrap a coil of her hair around his finger just to examine it in the afternoon light, warm her cold hands with his breathe, cradle her face and hold her tightly just because he could. And he’d catch himself physically clenching his fist, restraining himself from reaching for her at times.
Sel was seeing himself for the first time in so long, not as an instrument of magic and power in a centuries-old conflict of legend, but simply a boy made to hold the girl he loves.
TLDR: Sel’s love language truly is physical touch

Oathbound/Sel theory
I’ve seen a lot of people speculate how/if Sel gets his humanity back so I wanted to add my own theory.
Okay so we know that Natasia says that she can not guarantee that she can cure Sel. What if the reason is that Natasia was able to cure herself w/ Fae’s blood or root. I think that curing demonia has to do with facing your inner demons-literally ( kinda like that scene in My Happy Marriage). So maybe because Natasia ( and most Merlin’s ) have so little demon blood their inner-demons are easier to conquer and control (once they are given the blood of a powerful demon like the SK or someone that possess the SKs power/blood aka Fae and Bree ). So what if Natasia needs Brees blood/root in order to help Sel and that’s why she couldn’t guarantee she could save him. Also if the fan theory that SK is Sels father is correct then maybe Sels demon will be even harder to control or he has 2 demons, one inherited from Merlin and the other from SK. If he does have 2 demons then perhaps Natasia sealed SKs demon when he was younger and that’s why he’s not able to manipulate shadows like SK or able to cure himself with his own blood. Also if Bree’s blood/root is needed then maybe will get a scene when Natasia makes a deal with SK for a bit of Brees liquid aether or blood or whatever . I also think this would be a good excuse for Tracy to resolve Sels trauma so he will become less toxic to himself and others. Don’t get me wrong tho I love my sarcastic boy, I don’t think his personality is going anywhere lol
bUt tHatS jUsT a ThEoRy a BOoK tHeOrY ( ok I’ll stop 😭 )
Bonus theory: What if Sel unleashes his 2nd demon and is able to manipulate Shadows and Shadow leap once he is cured. Or maybe the Shadow Crown manifest in the human world because it senses someone is it’s rightful heir ( that could be Bree or Sel tbh )

Ok, Legendborn fandom, I need your attention for a few seconds!
I don’t know if someone already pointed out, but I didn’t found anything about that online, so I’m going to be the one who tell it.
I think that Erebus is Selwyn’s father.
In Bloodmarked Erebus is introduced first as the Mage Seneschal at Arms, and after as the Shadowborn King. When he talks with Bree about Natasia (Selwyn’s mom), he points out that they had a “deep and special relationship” and, in the end, Erebus is the one who knows where to di d her.
Also, I think that Natasia knew about Erebus’ real nature: he literally says that she is the one who named him (he also gave her a cute nickname, Nyx, as the greek goddess of darkness, which is a lovely way to show respect and admiration).
So, it’s possible that when Isaac and Martin tried to frame Natasia, Erebus was the one who helped her to run away and hide… and probably, he kept an eye on Selwyn, giving Natasia some news…
And this whole theory would explain why Natasia is the only Merlin who isn’t corrupted by her own powers!
And, and, and, if all of this is true, Selwyn would be the first real cambion in centuries (yes, I know that Valechaz is the last known real half demon, but… you know… I don’t think that Natasia went around screaming that her child is the son of a real demon).

My Legendborn Cycle Musings & Theories
Tumblr media
May 2023 is when I first got into this series and I've been hooked ever since. I've read Legendborn and Bloodmarked at least twice and I have some thoughts about the books and series in general. So without further ado:
Spoilers ahead!
First of all, I'm glad I waited to make this post because recently more information has been revealed about the next upcoming book (Oathbound), and that instead of the series being a trilogy of books it'll be a tetralogy (4 part book series).
Oathbound
I strongly believe that the Shadow Court is definitely going to be unleashed that was part of the bargain Bree made with the Shadow King after all.
Vera’s warning to Bree at the end of Bloodmarked: “Chaos thrives on imbalance.” In Oathbound, is Bree going to become villainous or corrupted in some form? Since she doesn’t have her ancestors to balance or influence her since she closed the ancestral stream?
Since the third book is called Oathbound I wonder if this means oaths will be broken or removed. Obviously, Natasia's Kingsmage Oath to Martin Davis had to have been removed. Could the same thing happen possibly between Nick and Sel?
At the end of Bloodmarked, the main trio: Bree, Nick, and Sel have become separated. Since this is Bree's story first and foremost I think the book will still only be from Briana's point of view. I don't think we'll be getting multiple points of view. However, I'm not quite sure.
Selwyn Emrys Kane
There’s more to Selwyn Kane than meets the eye. One of the main themes in the Legendborn Cycle is ancestry and inheritance.
Theory 1: Erebus (the Shadow King) is Selwyn’s father. Erebus is described as a father-like figure towards Sel and he has a history and a clear fondness for Natasia (He knew where she was at the end of Bloodmarked). However, we know that the Order supposedly monitored Natasia closely while they ensured she gave birth to an heir. Obviously, since both her and Sel are powerful Merlins there must be more to discover about their bloodline. Also, it is mentioned how closely Sel resembles Merlin his ancestor not only in appearance but also in mannerisms. Sel is a prodigy and has the rare ability to transform into an Owl like his ancestor Merlin. Not to mention, the skill he used to craft aether constructs to hold Bree together after her injury which isn’t easy to do and most likely would’ve killed other Merlins attempting to do it.
Theory 2: Maybe Selwyn’s bloodline has ancestral ties to someone on the Shadow Court.
Nicholas Martin Davis
He's going to be leading the faction of the Order that's still loyal to the Knights of the Round Table.
Maybe he'll continue to forge a further alliance with the Line of Morgaine. Nick will then be further exposed to how they live and maneuver outside of the Order. He is trying to find a solution to stop the Legendborn Cycle without the Scion of Arthur having to die. In Bloodmarked, he found something out but he didn't get to elaborate on it further.
In General
I think the relationship between Sel and William is underrated.
There’s still much we don’t know about Cambions and unions. So far, we know:
Full Demon + Human = Cambion
Human + Cambion = Cambion
But what about: Full Demon + Cambion = ?
Cambion + Cambion =  ?
Are these unions even possible or allowed and could they produce offspring?
On the cover of Bloodmarked, I think Bree is wearing the outfit that she wore during the Rite of Kings ceremony.
Valechaz is clearly enamored and fascinated with Bree and he's such a wildcard. Valec at times can also be hard to read. Will he be a friend or foe going forward?
This may be an unpopular opinion, but in terms of a TV series adaptation of the Legendborn Cycle, I would prefer that it be an animated TV series rather than a live-action series.

It is commonly known that there are five types of people at the beach, here I'll discuss which Bloodmarked character is in which category.
1) The one who plays beach volley/volleyball at every chance they get. You cannot tell me Bree isn't one of these people, she's friendly and she likes staying in the sun playing a good match and having fun. She also liked sunbathing.
2) The one who'll stay all day in the shade under the umbrella. I swear Sel won't put neither half of his foot under the sun, 'cause he simply doesn't like it and furthermore, his skin tends to get burnt very easily (but this is only an excuse since him being a Cambion allows him to heal rapidly).
3) The one who only came to the beach to swim. William doesn't really like sand, but he loves a good swim in the Ocean. One thing is certain about these people, they will stay all day in water, they'll even eat in there (I'm one of them).
4) The one who came to the beach only to play cards. Alice is one of these people, she would try to play volleyball with Bree, but she would get bored really quickly and she would sit down near Sel under the umbrella and play cards till William calls her to go swimming with him.
5) The one who tries to stay with everyone and to do everything. This is Nick, Nick plays volleyball with Bree, stays under the umbrella with Sel, swims with William and plays cards with Alice. He does this because he is a sweetheart and he doesn't want his friends to spend too much time alone (crying rn)
Thank you for coming to my (useless) ted talk.

Erebus is a Brelwyn Shipper
Idk if it’s good tumblr etiquette to drop a link to a fic if I don’t have their tumblr @ or know them personally. But someone dropped a POV switch for Valec on chapter 42 “Rescue” and it is EXCELLENT. The author mentions that they think Valec was playing matchmaker and likes Sel more than he lets in which I 100% agree with.
The fic got me thinking…you know who else I lowkey think ships BreeSel? Erebus.
Current theories about his paternal connection to Sel really got me going. Cuz like. He KNOWS how awful the Oaths system is for cambions and what demons are capable of. He Oathed Sel himself and has an intimate understanding of his abilities. The Shadow King has been around for a while and these crazy kids left an impression in the events of Bloodmarked, and I think he’d clock that this power jump is because of each other.
I’m thinking that when he got his shit rocked in the forest by Bree and Sel’s construct explosion it knocked him onto the shipping boat frfr. Think about it. That combination of raw power and finesse neither of them could achieve on their own? He may be aware of Sel’s impossible life support constructs since he’s aware of Bree being in mortal danger…and the end? A fully realized Bree striking a deal with HIM for the chance to save Sel? Oh there is something going ON here.
Also also also…we keep getting reminded how the Order wouldn’t allow Bree and Nick to be together because of bloodline reasons—too much power and difficulty tracking? Yeah uh, I’d be way more concerned about a medium-bloodcrafter-scion/cambion merlin child?? That power would be unprecedented.
So in a “evil plot for more power once the protagonist dies bwhaahaha” AND in a “good evil dad unintentionally being the twist of fate that brought these two together” kinda way I think he would/should/could be personally interested in Brelwyn becoming a thing!!

The Legendborn Cycle Theory!!!
(Spoilers for Legendborn and Bloodmarked!!!)
Okay I admit not so much a theory but a prediction but here goes:
In the third book (or whenever), I think Nick’s mother is eventually going to get her memory back.
Now as to why I think this:
Having read the extra chapter in some special edition, we see that ever since his mother has been mesmered, he’s looking for ways to undo it.
Selwyn has told him there’s no way but I don’t think he ever stopped searching.
Now we know that Bree is immune to mesmers AND can undo them (with the powers of her ancestor Jessie), as we saw her do with Alice (when Isaac mesmers her).
Now how will this eventually play out or whatever:
I’ve seen people predict Nick is going to get a bit dark/more antagonistic, may have a corruption arc, because now he has nothing to loose, everyone he’s loved has been taken
So he goes bad, and so Bree and the others try to find his mother, take off her mesmer and maybe then try to get his mother to convince him that he’s not bad and all???
(Note: okay yes this wasn’t much, just a thought but what do yall think?it can happen no?also i really want to think about all this in detail and come up w more theories but i have classes ugh TT)

I was listening to LB again while I’m working on my cross stitch (like you do lol) & I heard a thing that hadn’t registered before: the Morgaines were Merlins before the splinter, so they are cambions too. The thing that differentiates them isn’t their heritage, it’s that they don’t administer oaths. Like. Nick just says that & then the conversation moves on.
Um. I need to know more about this, hello! So there’s this whole Line of cambions out there who live without oaths to bind them to their humanity & that’s just like a known thing? Mine them for information y’all! Since the other Legendborn presumably know how to contact them at this point! Maybe there are other Merlins besides Sel who are tired of the Order owning their asses in perpetuity! Gah! 👀
So excited to see how the Order crumbles in book 3!!!

What time is it? It’s Tracy Deonn answered a question about LB3 on Instagram and this is already making me so nervous time!
I’m also not in the mood to retype everything so this is gonna be just screenshots of my rambling with a friend. I’m Fox Kane, if it wasn’t incredibly obvious.
Tumblr media
The question and answer, for context.

(I realize I forgot to unspoil one but it was just me saying ‘demon Sel’ bc a few people in the server haven’t finished)
In other words, I’m fucking terrified of what that book will do to me.

A Little Legendborn/Bloodmarked Scent Theory
Scent is nostalgic.  It transports us back to a memory, a person, and the feelings that lived in that pocket of time.  When I was a teenager Snoop Dog proclaimed in Lodi Dodi “For all the bitches I might take home, I got the Johnson’s Baby Powder and Cool Water cologne.”  Yes, I have happily dated myself with that reference (all my youngins, do your Googles) but nearly every boy I knew had that scent profile and every time one of them said, “Where my hug at” I would bury my nose in its familiar embrace.  Tracy has been hella intentional with so many of her choices in this amazing series (see a bit more in my “A little LB/BM…” series at the end) and I don’t think the way our favs smell is any different.  Let’s take a dip in the olfactory pool shall we?
Bree Matthews - scent profile Gourmand, Green, Mossy Woods
“Do you want to know?” he asks in a low voice that makes me shiver.  He reaches for my hand, and his fingers are hot against my palm.  “What your magic smells like?”... “Honey wine.  Amber.  Green things growing.  The tiniest hint of copper, like fresh blood.  Something else…”  A deep inhale, and I feel him shudder.  “Power.”
Well now, Selwyn said a mouthful when describing Bree’s scent and every note fits her perfectly.
Honey Wine - Did y'all know that honey wine is also called Meade?  Arthur went on about someone drinking all of it when Bree popped up in one of his memories.  It is made from honey, yeast, and water and can vary in alcohol content and can be mixed with fruit.  In Celtic cultures, Meade is thought to enhance virility and fertility and has aphrodisiac qualities (had Sel on his ass in the woods).  This wine was said to have been first made in secret by Irish Monks. Its origins, however, are lost in prehistory with the earliest archeological evidence dating back to 7000 BC. It was used in feasts and celebrations across Europe and Asia and still exists today. A scent fit for a King.
Amber - Warm and exotic, amber which is derived from tree resin and described as “Gold of the Sea” and has been touted as the world’s oldest and most desired treasure.  It is considered beautiful and unique and has special chemical properties that are electrically charged and could ignite when rubbed together (A bit volatile and explosive like our Bree).  Amber is a powerful Chakra cleanser and can absorb negative energy, transferring it into positive. It can be used in meditation for relaxation and can heighten and enhance psychic abilities.
Green Things Growing - The scent of fresh cut grass, blooming flora, mother earth.  Representing growth, new beginnings, healing, and renewal.  I find it interesting that Sel tapped into this aspect of her scent as taking in her root (after giving him consent) revitalized him.  In a way Bree’s arrival has brought forth new beginnings and growth for everyone she has come into contact with.
Copper, Fresh Blood, Power - Smelling blood (where none is present) can signify a deep connection with ancestral ties.  As we know Bree has seen Vera bathed in blood, and its use has been pivotal to her communing with her ancestors.  It can also serve as a shield or protection.  Erebus has Bloodmarked Bree which alerts him to her danger, in a way protecting her. This scent being part of her profile is telling because it is a symbol of life, sacrifice, and spiritual potency.  These attributes are ever present in Bree.  She after all is their sharpest and strongest blade with a powerful connection to the spirit realm.
Selwyn Kane - Scent profile Oriental (amber/sweet), woody (smoky), peaty (aged whiskey)
“We are so close I smell whiskey and smoke.  His aether signature, back again.”
Whiskey - Did you know that smelling alcohol has spiritual significance involving evolution, cleansing, and reemergence with renewed clarity?  Smelling alcohol can be a call to purify oneself, to get rid of negativity.  It can signify a period of transition or transformation, a rebirth if you will.  Selwyn Kane has managed to change immensely throughout both books.  He can literally transform by owl shifting.  By the end of Bloodmarked, we see yet another iteration of him as he transitioned more towards his shadow side, his demon nature.  Historical context suggests the scent of alcohol is associated with sacred rituals (Oathing ceremonies) and can be a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms.
Cinnamon - In the oriental scent family, this scent is exotic and seductive (just like our favorite, angsty, goth).  Some people use cinnamon for protection, prosperity, and healing.  It is said to be anti-viral, anti-biotic, anti-microbial, and antifungal “I don’t get infections.”  Cinnamon has therapeutic properties, it's no wonder Selwyn is able to heal so quickly from injury (bruised ego aside).
Smoke- While a part of Sel’s scent profile, when Bree smells the hint of smoke he gives off, it suggests her closeness to the ancestral plane and the supernatural.  Like Bree, people that smell smoke when there is none can sense the spiritual world.  Selly has an affinity for detecting those pesky Shadowborn that continuously make their way to our world. Its scent is also associated with messages from our ancestors and the divine.
Nick Davis - Scent profile Woody, fresh
“When he catches up, his fresh laundry and cedar scent comes with him.  Of course he smells good.”
Fresh Laundry-Nick’s scent has been described as a bit boring, but I tend to disagree.  Tracy has been extremely intentional with her choices in this series and I don’t think Nick’s scent is any different.  Fresh laundry makes you want to bury your face in it.  After a long day and a nice shower, it feels like home to snuggle into freshly laundered sheets (Is it just me?).  It is comforting to snuggle up in your favorite blanket that smells of your favorite detergent.  It is soothing and in a sense freshly laundered linens are a clean slate.  If that isn’t Nick, I don’t know what is.  He is deeply comforting to Bree and is a soft place to land for her.  Whenever she is in his room, she is smelling his clothes, sheets, she is able to find respite with him.  He is a change of pace in all the chaos happening in her life.  Not only does he serve as comfort for her, but for Sel as well (hello Bloodwalk).  Plus, tell me you haven’t taken clothes out of the dryer and took a big ol’ whiff.
Cedar- I love the smell of cedar.  Symbolically it represents protection, wisdom, strength, and spiritual grounding (come on Nicky!).  In some cultures Cedar trees are considered sacred and are known for their healing relationship with humankind.  The scent of cedar clears the mind, opening it to past memories. Cedar trees in particular are said to store energy, only releasing it when important healing needs to occur.  We know Nick has a lot of inner rage (Max fucked around and found out), but he is also optimistic and seeking correction of the wrongs his father and The Order have imposed on the Legendborn.  I don’t know about you, but I’d bathe my clothes in this for sure.
Scent is such a powerful medium. What do you think of our faves’ scents?  I find it interesting that the spiciest characters (looking at you Bree and Selwyn) are in the oriental/woody scent family and our more level headed bunch is in the fresh scent family.
In part two, we’ll take a look at Valec, William, and Incense Daddy himself, Erebus.

Just some Legendborn Cycle thoughts, questions and theories
Valec is Erebus's/ the shadow king's son bc in legendborn his mom apparently slept with the red eyed crossroads man. Sounds like Erebus. And it's pretty clear and a major theory that Sel is also Erebus's kid and there is a lot of evidence pointing towards it and it'll be hilarious for Sel and Valec to find out they're brothers.
Does Nick know Sel has feelings for Bree? Sel hinted at it and Nick seemed pretty chill with it, which is a weird reaction.
Nick also clearly did not trust Sel at all in Legendborn and did not like seeing him with Bree and they never get a chance to resolve this because he gets kidnapped yet in Bloodmarked he completely trusts him(maybe bc distance makes the heart fonder??)and seems fine with his feelings for Bree which is confusing.
William is gonna die I feel it
I have a theory that Natasia watched Sel growing up from a distance after she escaped. It's unclear if she really loved him but I'd like to think she did or at least has complicated feelings about him.
And that she's working with the Line of Morgaine. The Line of Morgaine are unoathed Merlins who clearly haven't succumbed to their blood so they probably know how to resist demonia.
I believe Erebus genuinely has or had feelings for Natasia, as many feelings that a demon can have.
Maybe Natasia used Faye's root to keep the demonia at bay. And in return protected her. But then how would she have repelled it while she was in the Shadowhold?
In this world there seems to be a distaste for Kanes. Sel asked Lark how his dad felt that his son lost out to a Kane for the role of Kingsmage. Sel and his mom were both used as scapegoats. Maybe bc they're a family of powerful Merlins and everyone is afraid of them?
I wanna know more about the Legendborn's discrimination towards Merlins. Sarah said a Legendborn dating a Merlin would piss their parents off. Bc of their demon blood? Also Sel why would you date Tor where is your taste?? I do kinda want details about that and Sel's dating life after he got over Nick.
I feel like Natasia and Faye were a thing or at least there were feelings involved.
Wanna see Sel playing the violin and being A Classics Major™️
There are totally some Merlins working as spies inside the Order and I believe Natasia and the Morgaines have contact with them. Maybe there's some sort of Merlin Resistance bc they're tired of being treated like second class members of the Order.
I feel like Natasia will be a very cheerful person, to contrast Sel. Everyone won't be able to believe that she's Sel's mom. As you can see I am very interested in Natasia she's just so enigmatic and interesting
Nick will find his mom and Bree will be able to remove the mesmer from her. In the extra story in the Barnes and Noble exclusive edition of Bloodmarked we saw that Nick was super determined to make his mom remember him no matter what and I think he will. Bree can remove mesmers, so it'll probably happen.
Theory that there's gonna be a fight between Bree and the Legendborn against the Merlins working for the Regents, and at that moment Natasia is gonna swoop in to save them and single handedly obliterate the Merlins(hope it's Isaac or that Tacitus guy)
Bree's powers are gonna bring Sel back from Demonia and they're gonna be endgame
I wanna see all of Sel's tattoos and know why he got them. And what's the deal with the Merlin tattoo? Is it just for style? Or to signify that they're Merlins that belong to the Order juxtaposed to other cambions.
TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS

Legendborn and Bloodmarked Spoilers
I’ve been seeing people are conflicted about Nick having a villain arc. Some people think he will others think he won’t.
Personally I think he will, we find out in Legendborn he lost his mother when he was a child because of the Order. Now in Bloodmarked he lost his father because of the Order. He lost Selwyn because of the Orders bullshit. (Because if they just had accepted Bree in the beginning he wouldn’t had to suck Brees powers which causes him to succumb to his blood. (But without all the shenanigans we wouldn’t have met valacki (don’t know how to spell his name sorry)) also since him and Selwyn are bonded we aren’t even taking about “the grieving” which we saw multiple characters who have been going through it and how it’s effected them. Now he’s lost Bree, he doesn’t know she went on her free will so she could get Selwyn healed but now he thinks the Order has her.
This man has lost almost everything he loves, what else does he have to lose? The order? He’s about to destroy the order any means necessary and I mean he might even try to kill Bree.
I think their will be a time skip like a big one, maybe a year or two. This is gonna be a year or two of Nick being alone. Selwyn will most likely come back but I feel like Nick will be to far gone.
But what do y’all think? I need to have a conversation about this book and no one I know in real life has ever read it so, any theories?
Both other than that, stan Valaki!
