First of all?? Badass answers to those last ones and congratulations on doing some of the hardest shit out there! Lavender earl gray is top ten choice of tea!!
Have some more 19, 26, 39
wah!! thank you! 2020-2023 have been hands down the hardest time in my life so far. i also made some ridiculously huge mistakes but also learned some ridiculously important lessons so... i mean it's probably worth it, right? 🤷‍♀️
19. zombies or vampires? vampires! (and i genuinely think @mrghostrat would move out if i said anything other)
26. do you believe in aliens? i oscillate between the idea that 'the universe is so infinitely big that of course there has to be other life' and prof. brian cox's view that 'we don't truly know the statistical likelihood of life existing anywhere else (even as single cell organisms) and so maybe us existing is so mindblowingly rare & statistically unlikely that we're actually totally alone in the universe' both options terrify me
39. is there wise words you live by? why worry twice which hilariously and annoyingly is from a fantastic beasts film, but it really resonated with me
do i succeed at living by these words? *looks at my chronic anxiety* no i do not. but do i try to? yes. yes i do.

Lavender Creme Brulee
4 cups heavy cream
1 Tbsp. dried lavender
8 egg yolks
1 cups sugar
butter and water for ramekins
Combine heavy cream with 1 tablespoon dried lavender in a saucepan. Heat to a simmer, remove from heat and let sit five minutes. Drain through cheesecloth and set aside.
In separate bowl mix eight egg yolks (without egg whites) and 1 cup sugar. Make a light, fluffy egg mixture by whisking until well-blended.
Add first mixture to second mixture, blending together slowly by hand.
Butter six crème brulee cups and pour the mixture evenly into these cups. Place these cups inside of a glass baking dish.
Boil several cups of water in a clean saucepan. Pour the warm water into the glass dish so that it comes about halfway up the sides of the crème brulee cups.
Bake at 300 degrees for one hour. Remove from oven, let sit until water is cool and then refrigerate just the crème brulee cups overnight.
Add sugar to the tops of the crème brulee cups and use hand-held torch to finish off the dish. Enjoy!

flower: lavender for himself — but he’s developed a great love for flowers because of @batteredoptimist‘s james — so is ‘all’ an appropriate answer?
scent: lavender, flowers in general.
coffee: he doesn’t really drink coffee much but i think he’s a caramel macchiato type or something fall-flavory. i’d say cinnamon chai latte but that’s tea. :P
tea: earl grey with lavender
alcoholic beverage: strawberry champagne
food: pan au chocolat? or a nice summer strawberry salad?
dessert: lavender creme brulee
candy: probably a fancy box of belgian chocolate truffles or so

shower in the morning or night?: morning. he’s a perpetual morning person.
task done early or last minute?: early, he’s always trying to meet his father’s standards.
love language?: words of affirmation / quality time
believe in love at first sight?: he wants to. that’s what happens when you exist in the fairytales you’ve been escaping into since you were a child.

Character Intro: Anteros (Kingdom of Ichor)
*this character will appear later in the series
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Mush by Aphrodite
Ant by Ares & the others in the pantheon
Mr. A by Eros
Rosy by Harmonia
Age- 16 (immortal)
Location- Cyprus, Olympius
Personality- He and his twin brother are two drastically opposite sides of the same coin. Anteros is a soft spoken, serious, & sensitive soul in addition to being intelligent. He's not really interested in the glitz and glamour of the pantheon.
He has the standard abilities of a god. As the god of requited love (& avenger of unrequited love), his powers and abilities include flight (due to his feathered butterfly shaped wings), summoning/communicating with swans & doves, limited amokinesis (can curse two people to temporarily fall in love), being exceptional at archery (on par with his brother and aunt & uncle), and invisibility.
Anteros lives with his mother & younger siblings at her mansion in the state of Cyprus. He also spends time in Thrace, Sparta, the New Olympus neighborhoods of Chant du Cygne & Queenstown, Shimmering Tail Island, and the royal palace on Mt. Olympus.
He (along with his fraternal twin brother) were the first set of twins to be born to Aphrodite (goddess of love & beauty) and Ares (god of war). Their "official" debut was a full spread in Modern Olympus magazine. The cover featured Anteros and Eros (at only a few days old) laying side by side on a mink blanket with their bare bums touching. Anteros and his brothers were some of the few in the pantheon to age the fastest!
His go-to drink is an almond amaretto smoothie. He also likes red wine, ginger ale, espresso con panna, earl grey tea, martinis, blue velvet cocktails, and aviation cocktails.
Ant loves his twin brother. Even when there are instances of arguments and moments when he thinks Eros is too immature & selfish or when Eros calls him a "tight-assed humorless prick", they ultimately care for each other. They often spend time together- whether it's shopping, surfing at the beach, going to the spa, going to the opera, going to the cinema, or practicing their archery. He also cares for his younger siblings. Anteros has been teaching his baby sisters how to read and he plays basketball & watches wrestling matches with the "demon duo."
His favorite colors are lavender, gray, brown, & powder blue.
Ant's relationship with his parents is interesting to say the least. He obviously cares for them, but views their "on again/off again" relationship as painful whiplash. He also can't help but feel overlooked by them. Even though they say that they don't have favorites, Anteros does pick up on how Aphrodite is with Eros and Harmonia versus how Ares is with Deimos, Adrestia, & Phobos. With his mom, he'll go shopping with her, check out an art gallery or two before going to the spa (he loves the steam room & full body sea salt scrub). They'll end the day with a bottle of red wine and eat pink macaroni (her favorite comfort food) while watching a sad movie marathon.
Some of his favorite desserts include the pain au chocolat, chocolate & caramel souffles, creme brulee, and galette de rois.
In the pantheon, Anteros is close with his cousins from his uncle Hephaestus (god of the forge)- Eucleia, Euthenia, Eupheme, & Philophrosyne. He also views some of his mom's close friends as honorary aunts and uncles like The Graces, Ganymede (god of homosexual love & desire), and Ditus (god of bisexuality, effeminacy, & fertility). His nona (godmother) is Peitho (goddess of persuasion & sensuality). Anteros also really likes his aunts Hebe (goddess of youth) and Eileithyia (Ella) (goddess of childbirth). He often has tea & milano cookies with his grandmother Hera (goddess of women & marriage) and he golfs with his grandfather Zeus (god of the sky, thunder, & lightning). He also sometimes tends to the pet lions of his great-grandmother Rhea (Titaness of fertility, motherhood, & comfort).
He describes his fashion style as "high fashion dark academia."He's a fan of tailored trousers, collared shirts, cozy knit sweaters or vests laid over button-downs, oversized coats & blazers, and chunky loafers & boots. Anteros also doesn't mind dressing casually in linen tees, skinny jeans, and chuck taylors.
He uses the Glory's Crown coconut milk & honey curling custard on his bouncy dark brown coils.
His favorite sandwich from The Bread Box is the croque monsieur.
To keep busy, Anteros sometimes models for his grandfather's fashion brand, Platinum Alchemy. He also writes for his magazine and was even featured in his mom's Look Book- a collection of photographs & stylized portraits.
As far as romantic relationships, Anteros is feeling conflicted about the feelings he has for one of The Hesperides, Erytheis (who's also good friends with his mom). After sharing a passionate kiss in a secret room of the royal palace during a Summer Solstice celebration, they both decided that starting up a relationship would probably not be the best idea. She stated that the kiss felt like a betrayal to his mom. Anteros still hasn't stopped having fantasies of running his fingers through her long ash blonde hair or picking up the fragrant scent of lilies & vanilla from her neck. He almost touched himself to one of the fantasies he was having about her, but stopped himself.
Aphrodite gifted him with a steel gray vintage 1960's sports car.
In his free time, he loves reading poetry (as well as writing his own). He also likes to write romantic & gothic love stories. Some of the themes explored in his poetry include toxic relationships, unrequited love, forbidden love, identity, mortality, and death. Anteros also enjoys horseback riding, surfing, yoga, basketball, chess, & transcribing music. He's become quite skilled at playing the piano.
Some of his favorite meals include the coq au vin, ratatouille, moules-frites, and cuisses de grenouille.
"Even though we never said it to each other, we knew."

Egyptian Chicken Crepe - طريقة عمل الكريب المصري
How To Make Egyptian Chicken Crepe #EgyptianChickenCrepe #ChickenCrepe This Chicken Crepe Recipe is a fantastic spring recipe to serve for lunch or a fancy brunch. The best part about it is most of it can be made the day ahead, leaving just the bechamel sauce, assembly, and baking to the day of your party. This is probably not one of my most "traditional" French Recipes, but who can say no to a savory chicken crepe with bechamel sauce? This crepe recipe is really "Franglais Cooking" at best. Baked Chicken and Mushroom Crepe in a gratin dish on a wooden charger with side salad in a small olive wood bowl In Brittany, France where crepes originate from, you'll find sweet crepes made with white flour or savory crepes, or Galettes as they are called, made with buckwheat flour or "ble noir". But you don't really find a "mash-up" of savory crepes, in a white flour crepe, like this. Vertical image of a Baked crepe in a white gratin dish on a wooden charger with small side salad RECIPE PAIRINGS: For starters try my Goat Cheese Tarts with Carmelized Onions in Puff Pastry or my wonderful Tarte au Soleil with Pesto For French dessert try my lovely Honey Lavender Creme Brulee or my delicious Strawberry Pistachio Tart with Sable Breton Crust Cutting into a baked crepe with a knife and fork to reveal filling WATCH A VIDEO DEMO OF THIS RECIPE BELOW! SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL FOR MORE RECIPE VIDEOS! STEP #1: ROAST THE CHICKEN For this recipe, I really like to use bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts. This will give you really moist, succulent chicken. I like to roast the chicken on a rack for even cooking and if you line your pan with foil, you'll have easy cleanup! Once the chicken is cooled you can shred the meat off the bone with two forks. Bone-in, skin on Roasted Chicken breasts on a roasting rack in a sheet pan lined with foil MAKE-AHEAD TIP: The chicken can be roasted and shredded the day before. Place the chicken in a bowl, covered it, and refrigerate it until ready to use. You can even roast double the chicken breast to have for other meals throughout the week, such as my BBQ Chicken Sliders or Enchiladas Suizas. Shredding Roasted Chicken with a fork VEGETARIAN OPTION: To make one or all crepes vegetarian, you can skip the chicken and add baby spinach instead. You don't even need to cook it since it will steam/wilt in the oven as the crepe bakes. Just add a handful on top of the mushroom mixture when assembling. This is an easy substitute if you need just one crepe to be a vegetarian crepe. STEP #2: MAKE THE CREPE BATTER The secret to making crepe batter is to make it as smooth as possible so that you don't create any lumps. You could use a blender, but who needs one more small appliance to drag out and clean? For this savory crepe recipe, I made a slight twist on my basic crepe recipe. Adding milk to flour in a glass bowl to form a crepe batter Instead, place your flour in a large bowl with the salt, whisk it together and then add the milk. This will assure a smooth, clump-free mixture from the start, a key attribute for any crepe recipe. adding beaten egg to crepe batter Then add beaten eggs to the flour mixture for continued "smoothness". You'll also add melted butter and for a finishing touch, I like to throw in some freshly minced dill. Adding minced Dill to crepe batter STEP #3: MAKING THE CREPES I've been making crepes for over 10 years now, just about every Saturday morning for my kids. #crepes #cr #food #pes #crepe #foodporn #dessert #chocolate #nutella #pancakes #foodie #instafood #breakfast #icecream #waffles #yummy #coffee #foodphotography #delicious #sweet #foodstagram #creperie #foodblogger #foodlover #healthyfood #waffle #brunch #pancake #homemade #desserts #italianfood #food #foodporn #instafood #foodie #pasta #italy #foodblogger #foodphotography #pizza #foodlover #cucinaitaliana #italia #foodstagram #yummy #instagood #delicious #italian #dinner #homemade #cucina #restaurant #cibo #chef #love #pizzalover #lunch #ciboitaliano #cooking #pastalover #pe #love #instagood #cafe #sweets #creperia #delivery #glutenfree #vegan #restaurant #cake #a #yogurt #lunch #milkshake #tasty #bhfyp #strawberry #s #e #frozenyogurt #healthy #crepas #foodies #gelato #crepesnutella #crepelovers #crepecake #galettes #sweetcrepes

Darius makes creme brulee for Colli and his siblings.
Hi! Thanks for the request!
Drabble: Creme Brulee
It was a quiet afternoon in Gravesfield. Darius was spending some time with the Clawthorne-Noceda siblings. The Abomination Coven Head decided to make some creme brulee for the five of them. Later, it was ready to be served.
"That's delicious, dad!" Colli spoke up. The celestial boy with otherworldly fluffy lavender hair and a heart of gold had a bright smile on his sweet face. "I'm glad that you like it, Stardust." Darius said softly.

O wise queen of the kitchen! My garden is finally beginning to bloom after a long hard winter, which made me curious: what do the various cultures have in forms of edible blossoms, and in which ways are they utilized? I am enclosing a fresh sprig of lavender, as a thank you. - Botanist Lemm
Dear Lemm,
I'm so glad you asked, because I love cooking with flowers! They always add a touch of colour and elegance to any dish, and some of them are surprisingly tasty too!
Altmer
Jasmine is one of Summerset's native blossoms, and their sweet smell is prized in everything from perfumes to incense. But in food? I was pleasantly surprised by the jasmine-infused dark chocolate gateaux I tried in Alinor, which was layered with a delightful jasmine whipped cream.
Argonians
Due to Black Marsh's climate, pansies don't tend to grow very well, making them a valuable treat in Argonian cuisine. Tossed into a salad, cold vermicelli, and even soups, pansies are bound to give every dish a pleasing pop of colour and have a lovely, mild flavour. I love a classic swamp jelly noodle salad with minced pork, swamp basil, chili, and some pansy petals.
Bosmer
Some Wood Elves view fallen fruit and flowers as fair game, and there has thus developed a Valenwood tradition of stuffing unblemished fallen petals from wild nasturtiums with either goat cheese or minced meat. These morsels are perfect canapés, and are sure to wow even non-Bosmer dinner guests!
Bretons
Honeysuckle is every Breton's kitchen plant of choice, whether boiled as a tisane or turned into syrup. This naturally sweet and flavourful plant imparts a lovely aroma to regular simple syrup or cordial, and it's used to sweeten everything from tea to lemonade.
Dunmer
Gold kanet is a flower known for restoring strength, and grows in Morrowind along Azura's Coast, as well as the Ascadian Isles. It is prized for its buttery, sweet flavour, and you'll find it as a garnish and as a main flavour for cakes, cookies, and drinks. A Dunmeri classic is marshmerrow cake filled with ash yam mash and crushed gold kanet. As it is relatively rare, this is a prized ingredient in Dark Elf kitchens.
Imperials
Other than flowers, Imperials love saffron, which comes from a rare flower that grows predominantly in Hammerfell. It gives dishes like Gold Coast paella its signature aroma and bright yellow colour.
Khajiit
Hibiscus is a tropical flower that's beautiful, tastes great, and is good for you! They grow in abundance in Southern Elsweyr, where they are used both as decoration and in food. Roselle buds, from the genus Hibiscus, are rich in nutrients and have a pleasant, tangy flavour. It's great as a syrup as well as in tea, both hot and cold.
Nords
Lavender is a Provincial favourite for all Nords in terms of flowers, so your gift is deeply appreciated. Lavender dumplings are just one way to have it in your food, but I also love lavender-infused apple juice, as well as in cakes and butter cookies. One of my signature dishes is a lavender custard creme brulee, which carefully balances the pungent lavender with vanilla bean notes and heavy cream, followed by the flavour of crisp burned lavender sugar.
Orcs
Cornflower is a particularly useful alchemy ingredient, but it is also surprisingly good in food! Cornflower petals can be used in salads and as a garnish, and have a slightly peppery taste to them. I once tried a hard Wrothgarian echatere cheese aged in a cornflower petal wrap, and it had the most incredible flavour enhanced by the flowers, and slightly blue tint.
Redguards
Roses and Redguards go hand in hand, it's a known fact! Whether it's rose and pistachio jelly cubes, rose syrup in pineapple juice, chocolate-coated rose petals, or even jam, there's a rosy recipe out there for you! Nothing tickles my fancy quite like a lemon, pineapple, and coconut water spritzer sweetened with rose syrup!
