As for other art... I haven’t seen any other triven stuff but deviantart actually has some cool art from back in the day. If you’re interested I’ll link my winx favourites folder in the notes because wading through all the other crap on that website is... not something I wish on others ;v;

Your take on Brandon as the Flora..I have similar thoughts..but have to disappear again so I’m enabling you and your big brain to elaborate 😌 -lambofzenith
I do so love elaborating...
They have quite a few traits in common in that they're both generally more responsible, grounded, and even-tempered than their peers, but I think their main connection is that they're both kind of the mom friend of their respective groups
The way they go about fulfilling that role is very different largely because just as how you stated Tecna does does better than Riven as a result of being in a safer space, the same goes for Flora and Brandon(and any specialist and winx that fill the same role tbh). Flora is able to act as a source of comfort and understanding, and gently talk her friends through whatever their dealing with. Brandon is also often shown to be the guy the other specialists go to with their problems, but he tends to take a cooler approach and wraps his advice up in jokes, and even some friendly jabs*. Outside of just being in that emotional support role they're often the first to point out possible consequences of whatever the group is about to do, and the most hesitant to break the rules
Overall, I've always gotten the feeling that they're both very mature for their age, and consider themselves responsible for the well being of their friends. With Flora this is likely a result of the age gap between her and Mielle forcing her to take on an almost maternal role rather than a typical sisterly one, while for Brandon I imagine it's caused by him literally being Sky's protector rather than just his friend. If it were up to me I'd let them both have arcs where they learn to let go of that role a bit from time to time, and just let themselves be dumbass teenagers
*this is where I think you could argue for his similarities with Stella as she's also the humorous one in her group, but I think Stella's jokes are mostly a way for her to cope with her own feelings while Brandon is more likely to joke for his friends' benefit

This is an opportunistic ask to help add to your Tecna content. I’ve always been curious to hear the perspective of a longtime fan of the show…has the fandom opinion of Tecna changed over time like Stella/Riven? Or have people always been indifferent or meh with her? What do you think are her most underrated qualities (I realize there’s a lot to list, so say top 3)? -lambofzenith
Thanks for the ask, lambofzenith! From what I remember, Tecna has always been quite underrated. I cannot say for sure if the fandom's opinion of her has changed over time because I don't exactly know what people thought or thinks of her now. I haven't been consistently in the fandom as some other fans, so take this with a grain of salt.
As for your last question, I’m going to list the qualities below to avoid turning this into an essay. Not sure if these are her most underrated qualities, but I haven’t seen anyone talk about these in-depth, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to do so.
Emotional introspection. Tecna is often viewed as the “nerd” and someone who relies on cold, hard facts and occasionally takes things too literally. These are not entirely misplaced observations, but it’s important to remember that there’s more to her character than her smarts. For starters, she isn’t aloof or completely hopeless when it comes to expressing her emotions or gauging other people’s reactions.
In 2.22, she shows remorse and apologizes to Timmy for judging him too harshly. In 1.21, she was the only one who cried when Bloom and Stella were sent to the mission to CT. In 1.11, she forced herself to remain calm and not get angry at Flora. In 1.02, she apologized to Bloom after laughing at her old, prehistoric cell phone because she thought her reaction, in hindsight, was inappropriate. Throughout the series, her perception of logic and reality gets challenged, and she gets more in tune with her emotions, so much so that she has zero hesitation when she’s asked to choose between logic and feelings in 3.22.
I’m not saying she's an expert at reading social cues. However, while she sometimes needs things to be spelled out for her (e.g. Tecna takes the term “voice of nature” literally in 1.04 and doesn’t realize that Stella is using humor as a coping mechanism in 3.25), she also has moments where she catches her “social blunders” and misjudgments.
Sass. Maybe not the most profound characteristic trait to add to the list, but one of the reasons I enjoy her character is her sass. The scene where she scoffs at Riven for insulting Timmy and later schools him in 1.07 will always live rent-free in my mind. I enjoy her puns and sarcastic responses as well and am glad she wasn’t written to be the stereotypically shy and quiet “smart” character.
Boldness. Tecna is very matter-of-fact and daring, not only in speech but also in action. She has a bit of a habit of running headlong into danger—or rather, not analyzed to the fullest extent—and therein lies a stark difference between her and Timmy.
When Timmy decides to let the Trix go in 2.10, Tecna takes it badly, disappointed that he chooses surrender over resistance, and calls him a coward. It’s a small scene but very telling of the temperamental differences between Timmy and Tecna. In Timmy’s case, he is more grounded and patient and takes the time to think things through, whereas Tecna has a quality of emotionality (and overconfidence) that leads her to be a little reckless in her boldness even after she has assessed the parameters of a situation (2.09, 3.13). It matters that she needs the first three seasons to completely understand the consequences of her actions and what they will cost her and to fully reflect on the said consequences through dual lenses of logic and emotion.

Helia and Tecna friendship headcanons? -lambofzenith
AHHHHHHHHHH okay so
helia is really bad at technology right? pretty much anything that isn't covered in red fountain lessons, he's a complete no-go at. tecna takes it upon herself to try and help him understand basic technology a bit more and it goes so wrong. helia is literally the mom that squints their eyes and holds their phone away from their face while using One pointer finger to type everything. tecna hates it so much.
helia naturally doesn't understand a single thing that comes out of her mouth when she's talking technology but he still supports her nonetheless
helia is surprisingly rational most of the time! he's a firm Push All My Emotions Down And Then One Day I'll Die kind of person so even during really stressful missions, he's good at keeping a level head about things. tecna really appreciates this and it's not rare to see her, helia, and timmy discussing mission-related strategies During The Middle Of A Fight
tecna has a tendency to talk while she works (only noticeable around people she's comfortable with though) but she gets a little self-conscious about it. she knows it's not Bad or anything, but it doesn't seem Right either so she tries to keep quiet most of the time. helia on the other hand is so used to working while it's noisy that he's totally chill with it. they've gotten used to just vibing in the same room, working on their own things, and not actually talking to each other during it. they're comfortable around each other :) helia doesn't mind when she rambles out loud and tecna doesn't mind him pacing around the room every five minutes. symbiotic relationship.
tecna doesn't like talking about what she went through in the omega dimension, even with timmy. however, she does occasionally draw things out when she really needs to vent and can't think of any other way how. she's always been good at sketching due to her background in designing gadgets so this wasn't a weird transition for her. helia told her about this anonymous place for artists to submit their art with absolutely no names attached and after checking to make sure it was legit and she was completely safe, she started to submit one or two a year. she doesn't like to do it often but it does help to sort of "get it out" without actually talking about it.
while helia is notoriously Bad at video games, he does actually like the more "physical reality" ones (think that virtual reality tecmy scene!) mainly because it feels close enough to real life that he doesn't need to rely on just technology to do it. tecna and helia often have very competitive gaming matches but specifically within those kinds of games otherwise, he's really bad at it and she gets annoyed that he can't remember any of the buttons.
speaking of competitions, helia has an inner bet going on of How Much Can I Pretend To Not Know Jackshit About A Specific Technological Topic Before Tecna Notices. what he doesn't know, is that tecna knows he does this and has her own inner bet of How Long Can I Explain This Specific Topic Before Helia Gets Bored And Moves On. so far, the score is mostly even, with helia only winning because timmy isn't aware of this mental battle and will often jump in to explain things too. helia is very smug about this and tecna can't say anything to timmy otherwise she loses the fight that no one actually set firm rules on.
timmy is just really happy that his two best friends are also friends and sometimes he tries to invite helia and flora on their dates. tecna is okay with this only because she thinks it's funny. florelia were also okay with it but started to not be because they realized that their version of a date and tecmy's version of a date was extremely different. they've started to come up with increasingly ridiculous excuses for why they can't go and so far timmy is the only one that hasn't noticed. poor timmy, he genuinely thinks flora's best friend cactus is sick and needs care 😔
when timmy isn't available, helia will call tecna for any technology related issues he's having. on one hand, she likes that he trusts her and can rely on her, on the other hand, she's told him ten separate times not to leave his computer running all the damn time. (tecna: please turn the computer off when you're not using it. this will immensely help solve all of the problems you've been having. helia: okay so i'm gonna leave it on all the time?). he's not trying to be difficult though. he just forgets everything and assumes it should work regardless (he a little stupit).
roxy gets so much gender envy from both of them and it confuses her all the time. they have no idea what a gender envy is though and they're mostly just wondering how they stop giving it to roxy since it seems like it agitates her??? help please???? researching the matter doesn't help and it ends up becoming a meme on winx stan twt because tecna made a very official and serious post asking about the severity of "gender envy" and needing to know how contagious it is. now whenever either of them posts, earth teens just comment gender envy at them. helia still doesn't know what it means.
they don't watch movies/tv together but they will binge-watch the same shows and then talk about them later on. tecna's formatting is still very formal and functional meanwhile helia bounces off multiple points and forgets to make a conclusion. he stresses her out so much.
helia notices when tecna has stayed up too long for too many nights and will occasionally send her a "please sleep" message when he knows timmy is already asleep and can't do it. she doesn't always listen but sometimes she will, but not before sending the same message back because why the fuck is he up at this hour huh dumbass?????
tecna has a pet bird and helia has multiple cats and they absolutely cannot be in the same room together. her bird is constantly trying to fight his cats and while they're usually well behaved, he's genuinely scared they're gonna try to eat it (tecna: stop calling my bird an "it"; helia: stop putting your bird near my cats 😐)
they actually don't like hanging out when one of them is upset. they both have a hard time talking about their emotions (for different reasons obviously) and they always end up feeling like they have to say something when they're together. they just really prefer hanging when they're both in a good mood or at least calm. whenever one of them gets upset, they stop hanging out together until that person feels better.
connected to the last point, you'd think that would mean they don't know a lot about each other, but they surprisingly do! they're both relatively observant people (tecna gets better every year) and they're actually really good at figuring out why the other is upset and what would help. they just don't talk about it.
although, on a similar note, the one time they did have an emotional talk, it was about timmy. tecna was feeling upset again and worrying over whether or not she's "too logical/not emotional enough" and it was the one time where she actually allowed herself to hang out with him while being upset. they had a genuine heart to heart about things and especially about how she's way too hard on herself. they thought it would be awkward since they actively avoided this kind of thing but it wasn't! it went very naturally and helia even teared up a bit. he's very proud of her and the effort she makes every day and since that talk has been much more vocal about it.
when they went to earth in s4, they both spent way too much time learning about Earth Things; tecna about earth media (canon), and helia about animals since that's what flora was talking about. he started calling tecna "chip" after that because chipmunks reminded him of her. she disagrees with this assessment and he refuses to admit he mixed up chipmunks and squirrels. he still calls her chip to this day, and fortunately, it's grown on her. unfortunately, he calls timmy "chip" too, and now it's a hassle to figure out who he's talking to.
helia is surprisingly interested in zenith technology despite not understanding it all! he enjoys walking through the streets of zenith with tecna while she proudly points things out so he can go "ooo aaa" at everything. sometimes she tries to explain how things work and his mind starts playing elevator music automatically. tecna has gotten really good at knowing when helia is just. brain empty no thoughts because she recognizes the Empty look in his eyes. she enjoys catching it live and trying to figure out why he's just. not thinking (usually it's because he either doesn't understand something or got bored) (this happens often when sky starts talking) (sorry sky)
tecna is one of the winx (besides flora of course) that helia trusts the most. not in an emotional or friend way, but in a physical, we're on a mission way. she has good control of her magic and knows how to use it. she's good at thinking of strategies and applying them properly to the situation. and after the omega dimension, he had a newfound respect for her previously unknown to him survival skills. if he were even in severe danger, she would be the first winx he'd call (depending on the situation, she is occasionally ahead of flora).
helia is really bad at sharing details. he tends to go straight to the conclusion but doesn't share how he got there (adhd king 😌) and tecna is the best person to call in when this happens. her logical questioning makes it seem so easy because she has the patience and knowledge to connect the dots and ask the right questions. when anyone else tries its more like (helia: i'm sitting in a pool of blood; person: uhm do you know where it's coming from?; helia: probably the stab wound; someone: did you get stabbed??; helia: oh yeah definitely.)

Just ignore this if you have no idea what I'm talking about...Tecna would absolutely love the Battle Frontier in Emerald. Like it's so stressful especially since some facilities are based on pure rng which makes logical Tecna really mad. But it's engaging enough to take up all her free time. Also she'd make completing it a competition with Timmy and/or Riven -lambofzenith
I had no idea what you were talking about but DH does and he completely agrees.

tbh anon I don’t think Darcy would be bothered enough to kill Musa out of jealousy, but I do think Musa would find out about their crimes and Darcy would lock her in the glass cage and try to make her forget -lambofzenith
I agree. I’m not entirely convinced Darcy even knows who Musa is.

Did I just find another tecna stan on this app? *shudders in validation sauce* Your tecna x bloom meta was A+ and I wish I’d read it before I posted about my fav moments (shoutout to our favorite enabler wavebiders for that ask <3). Anyways I haven’t read the comics and their dynamic happens to be even cuter?? what are some other comic moments that showed off their relationship well?
-lambofzenith
Yup, with icon recently converted I'm ready to serve :'D Thank you, I thought the exact same when I found your blog and meta posts!
I don't have many screencaps of Bloom and Tecna specifically and I'm too lazy to go sifting through the comics again but here's some of my fave stuff under the cut!
Tumblr media
Bloom is even more of a DisasterTM in the comics and we see more of her doubting her place at Alfea, so her departure after the Diaspro Fiasco makes even more sense. Also Tecna being a little bit motherly towards her inventions <3
Tumblr media
Tecna worrying about offending Bloom :')
Tumblr media
At one point the girls joke around about Bloom getting some major art block (the comics didn't forget that was a hobby of hers!) and it hits a nerve because her insecurity was what was bothering her when trying to draw :(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was actually because of the sketchbook incident that Tecna wanted to apologise to Bloom, not the phone thing when they first met my bad. The others were joking around too so I think it's telling Tecna was the most regretful, like she often worries about not being able to connect to others or coming across as rude.
Tumblr media
This glorious panel.

Another comics question since I am on the wagon…it’s SO cute how stella calls bloom “little one”. It’s so pure. Does bloom get any other nicknames throughout the series? What are the cutest ones? (if it’s cuter in dutch let me know) -lambofzenith
Oh man, nicknames in Winx is one of my favorite things to think about, so I'm actually gonna answer this one before the other one(also bc I'm taking my re-read slow and I wanna have finished at least s1 era stuff before picking my favorite moments)
ANYWAY I haven't actually come across too many comics exclusive nicknames for Bloom but there are a few things I really like there, and also in the show since you gave me a free pass to bring the Dutch versions into it
For starters in that same issue Bloom's employer refers to her as "little girl" in English which is not a nickname and I get the feeling is translation weirdness but I'm still soft for it
Not from the comics, but I'm also very soft for Daphne calling Bloom her angel. I'm convinced that's been a thing since she was a baby
(The rest of this is gonna be mostly me fangirling over the Dutch nicknames be warned)
The first one is technically not a nickname but it's too good not to include. In the comics the Trix will refer to her as a "heilig boontje" which basically means "goody-two-shoes", but literally translates to "holy little bean" and is a lot cuter and also more condescending
Tumblr media
From the scene you mentioned I have to say I favor the Dutch "kleintje" which does basically mean "little one" but it's just a diminutive of the word little and it's so much cuter
Speaking of diminutives; Bloom's dad uses one of her name in the pilot which is extra sweet because it has a kind of double meaning. In Dutch her name is pronounced the same as our word for "flower"(spelled "bloem"), so it's like he's calling her his little flower, which you might recall is also what Flora calls Mielle. This also opened a can of Daphne/Flora paralells brainworms in my head
In the show Stella also refers to Bloom as "schat" at some point(I believe the English version of that scene uses "hun") which literally means "treasure" but better translations would be "honey", "darling", or "dear"
Another thing Stella calls Bloom on a few occasions is "lieverd" which is a really soft petname. It's not wrong to use it for friends but for someone Stella's age to do that is... rare. It derives from our word for love, but I think the best translation for it would be "sweetheart" and I'm gonna take this oppurtunity to push the Stella has two hands agenda because it's the same thing she calls Brandon and I have PROOF

riven/timmy/helia headcanons let's go -lambofzenith
YEEEAAAAHHHHH LET'S GOOOOO
So basically they're all a little stupid (affectionate) and they definitely use that to annoy each other (Riven: the earth is flat, I have proof; Helia: pft the earth is clearly shaped like a donut; Timmy: LMAO you losers believe in the earth??)
They have movie nights! Pretty much anything is on the table but, horror movies, buddy cop movies, space buddy cop movies, and surprisingly romantic comedies are their gotos. They usually like to destress so anything that's funny/not too serious is good in their books but they will occasionally watch some spooky horror movie for fun.
They like doing escape rooms! It's a good way to practice without too much stress and it gives them time to Be A Team in non-dangerous situations.
They do actually like playing video games together! Although only Timmy is really good at them (Riven is good at some but, usually only after tutorials and practice). They absolutely play things like Mario Cart or Super Smash Bros and they have a tally of who's winning. Timmy's in the lead with Riven in second and Helia at dead last (Timmy genuinely believes that if they tried hard enough, they could win a lot too. Poor Timmy 😔).
Going out to eat together is something they like to do a lot on free days and whenever they have the time. While they do have their usual places, they will often try new things! On Earth, they like to try hole-in-the-wall cafes just to see if they're good or not.
All three of them are insomniacs that spend way too much time being Awake at night. They usually end up just doing their own thing, whatever that may be, and will often gravitate towards someone's room so they can at least be awake together. Although this definitely doesn't happen every night, they need their alone time too, and they all understand this so no one gets particularly hurt if one or more decide to chill in their own rooms.
Speaking of rooms, the three of them often dorm together when they go places for missions or otherwise! Sky and Brandon have to room together and sometimes no one is allowed to be alone for safety reasons, so they're relatively used to rooming together. When they only have five people on the team, the rooming arrangements usually end up being uneven.
Riven obviously had a really hard time after Nabu's death in S4 and afterward started doing a weird push and pull with the rest of them. One day he would be really close and the next he'd be really distant. They could tell he was grieving and just didn't know exactly how. They tried their best to let him know they were there for him though and because of this ended up grieving for Nabu properly after Riven felt better. Which ended up being years after it happened... it came as a complete surprise to both of them and just reminded everyone of what happened (not that they forgot per say but, they had moved on and assumed everyone else had too).
Timmy often thinks about the time in S3 when Riven was so insistent on Tecna being gone forever. On one hand, he understands that the situation seemed like a lost cause and that Riven was just trying to help but, on the other hand, he can't help feeling a little scornful. If he had listened to Riven and the rest of them, he never would've found Tecna. Timmy still gets careful when someone gets really hurt or goes missing on missions because he still has an underlying fear that Riven will give up on them. He's never brought this up of course but Riven isn't clueless. He's noticed.
I can't talk about this Helia-centric headcanon because it involves a made-up backstory for him that doesn't fit into canon however, it's sad so think about something sad idk.
At one point, somewhere between the third and fourth season, Timmy offered to help Riven find his mom. Riven was really conflicted about this. He wanted to see her, to hear her side of the story, to forgive her, to be angry at her, to ask her why she left. In the end, Riven decided he wasn't ready to confront her just yet but Timmy does still have that information and often checks in to make sure she's still alive. They don't openly talk about it but Timmy does give little clues that she's okay so Riven doesn't have to ask.
While Helia isn't A Quiet Guy, he does have really quiet footsteps and often accidentally sneaks up on them. He swears he's not trying to :( but he isn't exactly being louder either.
You know that guy on Tiktok that climbs trees and then says something motivational when he gets to the top? That's Helia except he's not filming Tiktoks and he's not saying anything motivational either. Throughout the day, Timmy and Riven will often get weird videos from Helia that are shaky and badly filmed but are mainly just him doing something like climbing a tree. He doesn't say anything at the end and nothing actually happens but they'll still watch it all to support him. (Timmy: nice bro 👍; Riven: good climbing 👍)
Speaking of climbing trees, Helia will often climb up on something and then swing down when someone passes to tell them something. Again, he swears he's not purposefully trying to scare them :( he just has important information that can't wait for him to climb down :( no, he will not tell them why he's up there in the first place :(
These three are absolutely down to do Illegal Things for each other. "Oh, you need me to bury someone? Okay, let me clear my schedule real quick!" "You need me to hack into this guy's computer and delete all his files? Because he was mean to you? Okay :)" "Why do you want me to break into this government facility with you? Never mind, I was bored anyway. Let's go!"
As all three of them understand the I Need To Be Seen As Reliable And Good thing, they often actually calm each other down when one of them gets really amped in that feeling. On the flip side, they will also help each other train in areas they feel inadequate in. They have each other's backs but also know when to step in and stop someone.
They are just three very okay boys who need therapy and hugs and a cat to cuddle
This post specifically is them and all three of them are interchangeable depending on who has the dumb idea.

First 3 things in the show you would go back and explain with Winx multiverse canon -lambofzenith
1. The Trix’s multiple origin stories. In one universe they’re triplets, in another they’re descendants of the Ancestrals, in another they’re just random girls who end up being host to the Ancestrals.
2. Daphne dies in one universe. She is only cursed in another. She is reborn in another.
3. Nabu dying in season 4 but being present in movie 2. There is one timeline where he survives and he and Aisha have their happy ending. There is another timeline where Aisha has to learn loss.

Bloom unpopular opinions/hot takes? -lambofzenith
Well, like you I'm relatively new to the fandom (pretty sure we both joined in the same fit of Fate rage), so it's def gonna be mostly hot takes:
I've said it before and I'll say it again, but at least in the og seasons and comics she's a genuinly well-rounded and interesting character(tho the longer I'm in this fandom the more I feel like that's not even an unpopular opinion, but her haters are just very loud)
The fact that she gets less screentime than normal in s2 is not a result of rainbow splitting the focus better, it's a result of the plot being so poorly paced that more time is spent on fillers that don't need to focus on her. The actual storyline still has her at the center and delving deeper into her arc would have made the season stronger
Her healing powers should never have been able to bring someone back from the dead, and also should have gone to Flora instead. Flora has multiple plot points about her having to heal someone, while Bloom works better as the one with crazy destructive powers she can't quite control
She would be absolutely miserable as queen and also would never support an absolute monarcy. The latter goes for most of the cast tbh like I can tolerate it in a kids cartoon but in a more realistic setting? No fucking way
While she certainly does function as the audience surrogate, especially early on, focusing too much on her as the everyman is doing her character an injustice. She's a weirdo(also an autistic icon), and it's so much more fun to dig into that side of her
As much as I dislike her relationship with Sky, I actually think when you lean into them as an absolute trainwreck of a couple rather than a failed attemp at a fairytale romance, their dynamic has the potential to be one of the most interesting ones in the show. In that same vein making them more functional would just make them even more boring than they already are
Her storyline should have ended in her coming to terms with the loss of her people, and learn to move forward, instead of the overly perfect happy ending in the movie

I always felt like Riven would be the type to dislike or look down on influencers, particularly those in the entertainment/beauty sector because he’d hate having to be look nice and pretty for the cameras. He’d hate the PR etiquette and the kiss-assing. Plus he’d hate to feel like an accessory to his partner -lambofzenith
I agree. But I also really enjoy the idea of Riven being a professional athlete and being contractually obligated to have a social media presence (a lot of public figures are required to) and hating it the whole time and doing the bare minimum.

do you think being abandoned at the omega dimension would reignite Tecna’s doubts about Timmy from s2, that he’s spineless and gives up easily. I feel like it would make her emotional remembering how vulnerable she was with him (and him with her) back then and now she feels like that was all for nothing. They’re back to square one. And now Tecna might not give him another chance…instead make him pay -lambofzenith
OH Absolutely!!! I wasn't able to get into her and Timmy cause I didn't really know how to fit it in, but she would absolutely be thinking about their relationship. And honestly, I think her feelings for Timmy and what they went through would spark her going evil. She would feel like fighting for him was a waste of her time and that ultimately she was right about him the first time, that he's a coward who can't save her. And this would of course lead to her feeling the same way about the winx; that her first assessment was right and she can't rely on them. I think Tecna going evil in the omega dimension would have to be backed by her feeling like she can't rely on them at all and that she has to completely fend for herself (which she would if they never rescue her).
While Tecna got a lot better with her emotions by S3, she still isn't great at regulating them and all these negative emotions would just pile up. It would be another example of her going to the extreme. She would be so convinced that they can't save her and that they never cared for her the way they did each other. And thinking like that for maybe even years depending on how long it takes her to get out, would be like,, basically ammunition for wanting to get revenge. I think "making them pay" would start with wanting to see the looks on their faces when they realize she's still alive. It would be a confrontation about how she survived and didn't need them. Which would of course spark them to try and explain the situation, which would then cause Tecna to get angry because she can't be wrong again. There's just.. a lot that goes into evil!Tecna that I think the omega dimension arc could set up really nicely...

Re: Darcy shapeshifting into Musa’s mom, you got me rethinking their battle episode in s8. We would see Darcy contemplating shapeshifting to manipulate Musa and get the star (so the earlier mentions of her mom in that ep would’ve been foreshadowing), only for her strategic plan to be interrupted by personal feelings/emotions due to Riven suddenly showing up, and her deciding to fuck with him instead. It would’ve been an ironic parallel/callback to the last episode where she makes fun of Flora for not using her head because of Miele. And she actually shapeshifted into Miele then. Why not now but with Matlin? Would this imply that Riven is her Miele (where Darcy = Flora)? Many thoughts… -lambofzenith (#late night rambles)
That was exactly my thought process but Riven being her Miele? Ouch. And the thing is, I think there’s some weight to that comparison: I’ve seen people point out how Darcy never actually attacks him and just avoids him in battle. I think she’s retained a soft spot for him and I want to see that blow up in her face at some point.
Also wish we’d seen more of her shapeshifting powers. It would have been cool for Darcy to have done the shapeshifting thing earlier in the show, perhaps around the time Darcy was dating Riven or around the time of Musa’s concert. It’d put her into the realm of “not fucking around” and would have made her (and the Trix) scarier. Also the idea of Musa being forced to face the memory of her mother over and over and being unable to let it go and then finally being able to let go in season 3? Like what a neat way to show development.
