Ideas for a rewrite of arc 3
- blue’s actually has good reason to think the Hivewing some of the Hivewing are innocent outside of meeting cricket
- blue and crickets relationship will be spread out and actually develops rather than them immediately falling in love (they find each other pretty but aren’t immediately attatched to one another)
- Blue actually gets mad about something (seriously, you took away this boys old life, let him be mad!!)
- lady scarab invites cricket and blue to her place and then quietly gives blue a piece of paper, which tells him to meet her at a specific location
- they meet with the crysalis and the group is far larger and more prominent than in the original books. (Both Hivewings and silkwings are there.. quite a bit of hivewings actually)
- I want scarab to have a Silkwing lover whom originally made the group, it’s similar to smolder and palm where Queen wasp took her lover away and killed them.
- cricket does NOT take Bumblebee with her but rather brings them to the chrysalis, that is where she hatches
- I feel with book three, everything stays mostly the same but I am thinking that instead of the other mind being a main villain.. they are a side villain and wasp is still the main villain and while the plant will be weaponized.. it won’t be used as an excuse for their Behavior.
- the 14th book should be about Swordtail rather than Snowfall. As much as I adore snowfall, her character arc is better fit for a winglet.
- swordtail heads to phyrria to go find Luna.
- Luna actually kills Queen Wasp using the same way she destroyed the other mind in book 15 (off with queen wasp’s head!) and instead of Luna becoming queen, she creates a counsel made of three dragons from each tribe.
- as for the snowfall winglet, maybe the flashback to the scorching is actually from the Gift of Vision. Instead of having visions about the Pantala characters.. maybe it is about the past? (Plus gaining a better understanding of Boa)
I’ll come up with some more stuff later and write it here. I’m still developing this. If y’all got ideas/headcanons lmk.

My favorite scene in book 3 is when get to meet Grandeur and she's an absolute beast. I love old sassy ladies, that's why I like Scarab so much too. And she just takes no crap. I think that she did truly care for her tribe but was just so worn down and tired of every other dragon not caring she couldn't cope anymore. Headcannon that she's fought off jaguars to protect dragonets because no one else was willing to.
She also gives great judgmental glares.

Thanks for the previous answers! I'm thinking of asking 23, 24, 25 with Mabel and Stan. Did I ask about those questions before? Wanted to make sure I'm not asking the same things over and over.
23. Favorite picture of this character?
I can answer this for both. There's a really cute piece of fanart of Mabel and Stan on Pinterest, that has them in matching sweaters, and Mabel's sweater says 'I punched a unicorn in the face' and Stan's says 'I punched a pterodactyl in the face'.
24. What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?
There's quite a few characters who Mabel is similar to: Fatespeaker and Kinkajou (Wings of Fire), Kez (Infinity Train), Princess Unikitty (The Lego Movie) and even Anne from Anne of Green Gables. Also, Kinley, one of the old members of XOMG POP! had a lot of Mabel Pines energy.
As for Stan...Mother Goose from The Land Of Stories, Lady Scarab from Wings of Fire and Metalbeard from The Lego Movie. Also Uncle Eddie from Jumanji: Next Level.
25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
I've always enjoyed Mabel's charater, although I've always related more to Dipper (my siblings are quite Mabel-like), although that is not to say that I don't relate to Mabel in some areas, such as being too energetic to easily make friends, and having a fear of change (I'm not as extroverted as her though. No-one is).
At first, it took me a moment to really warm up to Stan. His list of crimes was doing battle with his absolutely hilarious one-liners within my heart, and eventually my amusement won out. I think it was actually Ford turning up that showed me just how much I liked Stan (not that I dislike Ford, by any stretch, I just am more attached to Stan)
