How are you feeling about KyBu going to RCR next year? On one hand, this year has really burned me on JGR but wow, I am not ready to commit myself to a new life of rooting for RCR. And I'm nervous about performance, even if RCR has done okay with the Next Gen car. But maybe this will offer a new slate, mid-career renaissance for KyBu and doesn't necessarily mean a sad decade of RCR-grade obscurity... (My one worry in life. Look, I just want this man to be happy!!!!!)

legit everything you just said is how I feel right now too you're sooooo right. but I made myself feel a little better about becoming a RCR fan by thinking of all of the cool guys that have driven for Childress before. Dale Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick, Mike Skinner, Dave Blaney, Ryan Newman, JEFF BURTON MY DEARLY BELOVED...I could totally rock some old RCR gear and feel good about it. it's not like I ever truly liked Joe Gibbs as a person. I can make this work right. RIGHT??????

but for real I've seen how much more at peace he seems now that he's officially on his way out and I think more than anything what I want is for him to at least be happy where ever he is 😭😭 even if he's not winning races I hope he enjoys himself. it's not like he really has anything left to prove and anyway RCR seems to be trending up.

I'm looking forward to the fresh start it brings and I'm also keeping my expectations reasonable. hoping next year is fun if anything else!!

I genuinely have no idea when Audrey grew up and became such a person. Was she not a bald infant yesterday?? But she and Owen hopping in the car together was really cute.

As to the race itself: Larson led huge swathes of this race so I tried to pay as little attention to it as possible because it was too stressful, haha. Swept the stages, held off Reddick for the win, fast everywhere, all day. I'd initially picked Reddick as part of my "young guys crew" to root for, but after many years of feeling nothing for his successes, I've decided that I need to give it up and put him on my Villain roster. Sorry, Reddick, my short California king!

Other notes: KyBu got shafted due to a late pit penalty, which means I had to sacrifice one Kyle for another, but I'll take it. CBell somehow managed to cause like 50% of the cautions for cause.
