author's thoughts. many of you seemed to like my previous fic. i'm glad you all did! here's an idea that's been floating around in my brain for a while.
Heizou, who is tired and spent; who just finished a long day of solving a case that was, in his professional opinion, boring; who just really wants to have you in his arms; and who wants to cuddle up to you, pressing soft kisses on your skin. Only for him to be utterly rejected?
The detective’s face bloomed into a smile when he saw your figure curled up on the couch. He nearly pounced on you from the sheer need to have you within his chest, but you startled and moved away, holding up your hands in front of you.
“Ah, ah, ah!” You warned, showing him the freshly painted coat of nail polish that adorned your nails.
“Nail polish.” You kept a fair distance from him on the couch, an amused smile on your face. “You’ll surely smudge it, Heizou. No touching.”
You could see Heizou nearly pout, his eyes clearly distraught. “What?” He questioned. “Oh, please, that’s not fair. You can’t just run away from me.” Heizou inched closer towards you, almost cornering you on the couch.
“‘Zou…” You said, backing away. But, really, there was nowhere else to run. “...don’t you dare.”
Too late. Heizou had already pulled you into his chest, a shriek exiting your mouth, as he kept you pressed against him.
“You’re smudging it!” You complained, breaking out into a laugh. After a few more futile attempts of thrashing around, you fell limp into your boyfriend’s arms.
“You can re-apply it later,” Heizou said, pressing a kiss to the side of your face. “Just… lay with me for now.”
Kazuha will be patient. He is seated right next to you on the couch as he listens to you ramble about your commissions and adventures.
“God, those abyss mages are beyond annoying,” You ranted. Your hands lay flat on your legs. The glossy sheen of the polish is thick on your finger tips. The paint, still wet and sloppy.
You continued your tirade, and Kuzuha listened. Perhaps not with the rapt attention of a captivated audience, but more of a gentle observation that was done by ease.
He could make out how your cheeks flushed, your lips parting to launch into another rant, but right then his hand reached out.
Kazuha‘s hands, almost unconsciously, wrapped around your hand. His fingers hovered over your fingers, cupping your palm gently.
Your breath caught in your throat, about to warn him about your polish. But he brought your fingers close to his mouth. Then, a sigh escaped his lips, soft breath dancing on your skin. He continued. Kazuha’s warm breath swaying on each of your fingertips as the polish dried.
They felt like floating kisses on your skin.
“Continue,” Kazuha murmured. “I want to listen to your voice.”
And so, your rant continued as your boyfriend’s gentle sighs dried your nail polish.

Went thrifting at this place called Basura (lol) w my sis and she got me these black pleated pants and I lost my mind I love them omfgg
I'm slowly packing my things bc I'm planning to move to Vegas REAL soon (to be Sushi's neighbor LOL JK it would be nice tho...) I feel like I got to let a lot of stuff go bc I don't wear it anymore! There are clothes I've had for years that I do NOT reach for at all, in fact I forgot about it??? So many items that I bought back then bc it was on sale, but never actually wore it... I stopped doing that when it comes to clothes bc I WANT to actually wear them for a long time and mix and match stuff in my closet. One of my friends said she wanted to see a clothing haul/closet clean out… Can’t imagine how long that would take, but I feel like packing w company makes it less of a drag to do, also spending time w friends is always nice lol. Tho idk if our schedules would like up bc we live on complete opposite time zones HAHA maybe if I wake up early to pack 🤔
It feels like there's still so much left to do before I move, idk if it's bc I AM leaving that my friends here plan SO MANY THINGS, SAYING "It's your last hurrah!" I don't think it has sunk in until I see more of my stuff in boxes and my living situation is figured out. I mean next month I'm actually going to Vegas to go to a festival w Sushi! And then while I'm there, I'm going to be looking at places to rent! It's exciting to think about, I keep thinking about how I'd decorate my room and starting the next stage of my life! It’s such a huge change, but I’m ready!
I forgot that I preordered the Kanae and Kuzuha figures until I got an email about the order being processed LMFAO which is such a coincidence bc a couple days ago I was just watching a bunch of random videos of them and they still make me laugh. Love Kuzuha’s expression! It’s so playful! Kanae’s face is one where you gotta look at him in a certain angle— tbh looking at him straight on, I’m like “at least you have a second head w ur eyes close” LMFAO BUT when I took him out the box to get a good look at him, he actually looked better than I had originally thought… or am I deluding myself… Either way, my man made it home! Even tho I had to do a double take and be like “Wait a min—“ 🤷♂️ I really love the poses, idk what it is about sitting poses that I absolutely LOVE. And how they have their gaming chair??? It’s so lax I wonder where I’ll put them in my new place. Even the Aki (CSM) figure where he’s all bloody and man spreading is such a nice figure too; and it’s a sitting pose!!! Really excited to see how that’ll look in person 🤭 Anyway these are gonna stay in the box until I move.

i'm pretty sure i have no more tears to cry at the current moment, but ill probably cry more later-

it's something i dont want to think about, but since i have thought about it before, and my friend too, i wonder. what would happen to me if my no. 1 oshi graduates..? it's something that i personally guess we have to come to terms with? right now, i'd like to believe and hold onto the the fact that they're somewhat already tied to another contract (for music, as a unit) and they wont be going anywhere anytime soon but still. you'll never really know...
i'm really happy that these people are able to graduate by choice, but it's also hard at the same time to let go of them. i've watched several people leave and cried a lot, but never had to deal with my own oshis leaving, so it's something to fear, i guess ;; i still dont think itll be the end of the world for me or something but sheeeeeeeessh i will lose a part of my life i found enjoyable.
i personally find it easier to accept the news, but i think it takes awhile for the reality to sink in, even more for the feeling of 'normalcy' to return after graduation. for the emptiness to go away..? i'm not sure how long that might take. hah..

first of all, I'm sending lots of love and virtual hugs to everyone whose oshi is mayuzumi and have to see him graduate so soon. I'm a nobody to say this but you guys are more than allowed to feel sad, empty and to just...cry your heart out. It won't be fine immediately but gradually, it will. <3

now, my own oshi graduating is also something I've been wondering a lot after Melissa's graduation. Like, if I were to ever receive a news saying ibrahim (my oshi) is gonna graduate, I honestly wouldn't know how to feel. And as selfish as this may sound, I wish he could continue streaming forever. If he ever decides to graduate, I don't think I would be able to keep watching other livers. Because, this might sound silly but he is someone I liked since day one. Found out about nijisanji thanks to him and no matter how many other livers I watched, no one was able to replace him. I've always found myself going back to him at the end of the day. So to be in a place where he no longer would be makes me feel a bit... depressed (?)
I also cried so hard when Melissa graduated. She wasn't even my oshi and I still got hurt so much so I can't even begin to imagine how I would feel if my oshi graduated. But, we have to accept that they too have a life outside of streaming. They might want to pursue their career in something else and such.
But you know, we just have to push away this thoughts and feelings. Focus more on enjoying your oshi's contents. We can worry about this thing when the time comes and now is really not the time. If you keep on mulling over it then I feel like you wouldn't be able to fully enjoy your oshi's contents right now. Like the cliché saying, "live in the moment"
This is something that's been on my mind lately but, vtubers like Kanae or Kuzuha are figures that I find hard to imagine that they'll leave. I feel like streaming fits them and that they would keep streaming, or at least stream for a very long time. But vtubers like Ibrahim or Fushimi are people that I think would graduate soon and I hate myself for thinking like that LOL
ALL I WANNA SAY IS, your oshi will graduate and so will mine. And it will be so fucking hard to accept it because your safe space is gonna disappear so it's natural to feel that way. But sadly, life goes on and the pain is something we have to take till our graves :')

Kaede is a sophomore high school student living in Virtual Kansai. She's tall and has a great figure. She loved playing the trumpet since she was a child, and is currently a member of a brass and marching band. She likes to be stylish and live with her cat. She wants people to know more about the things she likes, so she became a VTuber.
Personality
Her best features are her silver ponytail, white ribbon, and mole under her right eye. She's known for her "nah-ha-ha" laugh and has a habit of saying "Naande!" (なぁーんで！ Whyyyy!). On 11 January 2018, Ichikara Inc. announced that it was recruiting "Official Virtual Livers" to serve as representatives for its iPhoneX app, NIJISANJI.[1] Higuchi Kaede's YouTube channel was created on 31 January 2018, and her Twitter account was created the same month. Nijisanji Splatoon Festival Review Addendum
There are five tiers of Nijisanji Events. Here's the explanation.
Tier 1 - Corporate sponsored, huge (mostly paid) events. NijiFes and Anniversary concerts and tours. There are two 'liver' driven events on this list. Koshien and NJU.
Edit - As of the next day, the three have taken different types. While Koshien successfully managed to fend off most efforts of corporatization, Maimoto and Tsukasa are adamant about handing the organization and perhaps due to its actual small size. Technically everyone in Nijisanji participates but actually only 10 or so people are playing and hosting the event. Meanwhile, NJU went the opposite way. Mikoto has ideas but she never really pursues them, Mikoto doesn't fight to get JuvveL video to be released and the channel and the project languish as a result. 2021 NJU was a headache, and next year would be more so, and therefore NJU basically lost almost all of its charms and has become a second NijiFes, although this partly is due to the sheer scale of getting 80 or 3D figures ready.
Tier 2 - Liver driven, but still large events. Splatoon Festival and Mario Kart Tournament are here, along with the Mahjong Tournament as well. These are likely to not get consumed as discussed in the edit, since the cost of actually running the event is small since it's happening through a game. Studio is not neccesary, even though it's employed anyway. But the key difference is the number of participants, which will close in on a hundred.
Tier 3 - Smaller but still large event. These events will have about 40 ~ 50 livers. Kuzuha Cup is a good example, and the fact that its sponsors rival NijiFes is a hilarious indication of the ridiculousness of the event itself. (I really hope it returns). Minecraft Sports Day has been reintroduced, right as the Hololive version features a downgrade. Many Money Company is much more capable than Mio/Miko/Subaru as well, so this is nice.
Tier 4 - Your typical 'large' event. I would point to the Minecraft Athletics Challege that Mahiro recently held or the Nijisanji Argument Battle that Debi held a few months ago as good examples. They would have 10-20 members, and is likely be the smallest scale to which things might become international, but not really.
Tier 5 - This barely qualifies as an event. This would be your Hopcon streams or testing out the new Mario Kart tracks or your typical Among Us-type gameplay. They get included, because the criteria is six people, I believe, but they are not much than that.

As much as he tried to tell himself Stan sent them to him on accident, Xeno just couldn't ignore how elegant they were.
everything by this author is actually pretty good, i liked most of the stanxeno works. this in particular is very good, solid 7/10.
2. Kiss and Tell by Micro_Komori (E)
"What the fuck," Stan mutters as he stares down at the book in his hands.
He was expecting Xeno to be reading some nerd shit about chemistry or something, not whatever the fuck this was.
Or: Stan always saw Xeno as a goody two shoes loser, but all that changes when he discovers Xeno's little secret.
okay this was funny because stan is this heartthrob bad boy but xeno is like a certified slut and their clash in the library was hilarious but also sexy. 6.5/10 for me.
3. Hey mister ;) by Micro_Komori (E)
Senku creates a dating profile to find a partner for Byakuya. The goal is to act like his father, get matches, and score him some dates.
The last thing Senku expected was for college student Gen to message him and get invested chatting with him using his father's profile.
hilarious, but it ended right where i wanted to know more of. also an enjoyable read ig, gen is flirty and senku is an idiot for someone so smart. 6/10.
4. Centrefold by Micro_Komori (E)
"What the fuck," Stan exclaims, as he examines the cover in disbelief.
There on the front of the cover was an omega looking seductively at the reader. That wasn't out of the ordinary because it was an erotic magazine, but it was the features of the omega that made Stan grip the edges of the paper tighter and stare down in shock.
Or: Stan comes across a porn magazine that has an omega on the cover that looks strikingly similar to his best friend.
probably my favorite one from this author, a solid 7.5/10, the twist was amazing. i love fics where xeno is equally sexually charged as stan.
5. Laughing Matters by EmpressofTears
It’s the fall of their senior year and Will just got his wisdom teeth taken out. Mike, Dustin, and Lucas came to hang out while he’s drugged up on pain meds and some embarrassing confessions slip out (not that Will’s going to remember any of them).
Now Mike has to deal with the fact that his best friend is in love with him and figure out why exactly he’s excited by the idea of kissing Will. (Hint: he’s got an itty bitty crush of his own.)
5/10, not really memmorable
6. On Demand Bus Service by Anonymous (E)
Whenever Kanae asks of him with sultry whispers of his name, Kuzuha can't help but acquiesce to his boyfriend's requests, even if that entails being fucked throughout the night in the back seats of their high school's bus as their classmates sleep through it all.
this was hot, kuzuha is cute as fuck. 6.5/10.
7. Calendars and Kings by taizi
"When I was little, all the other kids got treats and candies on my birthday too, so I didn't know it was special for me. Ace always said it was, but I thought that was just 'cause he was my big brother. I thought that since it was already a holiday, it didn't count!"
THIS WAS SO FUCKING CUTE CRIES I LOVE THIS SO MUCH LUFFY IS SO PRESH MY BB 8/10
8. Trust by quietfaun (E)
The distance that liquid shot out of Marco’s mouth was impressive. It would have been more impressive if Thatch hadn’t been sitting in front of him.
this is probs the first marcoace fic i have ever read, but my god this was so good. ace is so precious and lovable and still ever so bratty here i love it. 7.5/10.
9. Handful of Ambers by hanamakiisbae (E)
"Is there nothing we can do?" Kiyoomi asked softly.
Atsumu turned his face into Kiyoomi's neck, nuzzling into the bite mark on his gland.
"A kamaitachi and a kitsune were never meant to mate," Atsumu sneered, his words filled with pain. "Even ancient magic can't aid us."
Atsumu clenched into Kiyoomi's kimono, his hands shaking from anger and misery.
"The gods are mockin' us, my dear kamaitachi."

Atsumu and Kiyoomi realize they cannot have children. In an act of desperation, Kiyoomi asks Atsumu's gods for guidance.
But gods are pesky beings, and such wishes come with a heavy price.
