So I really wanted to discuss this with people, to make sure I’m not in the wrong or being a bitch, haha.

Couple weeks ago I filtered IZ by newest on Ao3 and read one of the fics that popped up, I really liked it, but it felt extremely familiar and I didn’t catch on until the second chapter.

There were huge text blocks taken straight out of Bamsaras IZ ‘A Moment’ fic. I commented on the fic to tell the author this, and they kinda downplayed it and deleted my comment. Images of my comments and link to my research on the extent of the plagiarism under the read more.

I didn’t reply to this because I thought, surely they won’t brush it under the rug, it was so obvious it was painful, so I promptly forgot about it LOL. Then they replied again.

So after that reply I was like, surely they couldn’t have fixed that much plagiarism and still had a story left, so I went to check it out, and yep, still heavily copy-pasted from Bams work, just some of the large copy-pasted blocks taken out of chapter two. So then I did some real digging, and found that even chapter one was heavily plagiarized. I put chapter one through a similarity checker, and compiled all the instances of plagiarism, and it still missed some parts. I made a google doc with just those screenshots I took:

I didn’t reply of course, they seem pretty set in their mindset that what they have done is ok. Maybe they are just young idk, but then they posted a new ‘chapter’ to say they won’t be continuing the story because their Dad died, which,,, ok I’m sorry, if that is actually true... It just seems like very convenient timing.

I wanted to inform Bamsara of this, but it’s very hard to get through to them haha. Anyway... thoughts? I will dm the fic in question to anyone who asks, I just didn’t want to throw them out completely, in case the Dad thing is true.

3. Hitunglah aib2 sendiri sblm ikut berkomentar menghujat. Selalulah meminta ampun setiap hari setiap saat ktk melihat ada aib tersebar, krn jika seandainya diri ini tak pny aib, mk komentar n kesombongan diri kdg menjadi penyebab diujinya diri ini dgn hal serupa, aplg kl dirimu penuh aib🥺

4. Jika melht postingan kesuksesan, kesenangan lalu ada nafas berat,obatilah segera dg kalimat "hai diri, kau sedang hasad, segeralah perbaiki".ingatlah nikmat n ujian tiap org tdk serupa.
