Hello!! I Was Wondering If Your Still Working On That Divergence Au I Think The Designs Are Really Cool And Want To Know More ^ w ^
The AU is still in the works!
I'm not quite active on Tumblr yet, so I don't know how much attention the AU has compared to other places I post about it
During these months I've been mostly rewriting things here and there on the AU before I give the execution a go
So far my first and biggest plan is for the AU's first chapter to be a Sonic fan game, just because it sounds more fun
And while I'm still making the chapter 1 game I'll still draw stuff related to the AU for more knowledge of what it is so far
Still I'll explain what it is currently:
Everything was originally the same as the original Sonic world
(except that fewer games never happend such as SegaSonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Mania and Knuckles' Chaotix, and fewer characters doesn't exist in this world such as Mighty for example)
At this point of the story, it's supposed to be a bridge between the classic era and the Adventure era but one thing and another influenced the story to take another path

Sonic for some reason has been thinking about Knuckles, wondering how Knuckles feels about just guarding the Emerald instead of living life at its fullest like Sonic and Tails does
Tails doesn't get at first why Sonic would specifically think of Knuckles; in Tails mind, Knuckles has better understanding of the island and understands why he'd prefer to guard the Master Emerald and protect Angel Island instead of anybody else doing this
But Sonic doesn't really pay attention to that detail and decides to visit Knuckles, only to find out that he's nowhere to be seen on the island [...]
One of their guesses is that this is all Eggman's work again, and while Eggman is indeed involved, it wasn't him the responsible for Knuckles disappearance (in fact, Eggman doesn't know about what happend to him). The duo decides to trace Eggman's whereabouts
As for Eggman, he was supposed to investigate the newborn Isolated Island but he was mistakenly guided to Starfall Islands, and ended up discovering the ancient technology instead and building Newtrogic High over the island and its tech
However the doctor has put even more focus on upgrading the Death Egg with the newfound technology than rebranding the Island: White Park and Oil Desert are clearly made by Eggman, Sylvania Castle is untouched yet, Techno Tower is a megalopolis where Death Egg Mk II is being built over Little Planet

Sage was made the same way in the canon: originally a device to control technology and then greatly modified into a lifelike being, the result made Eggman more excited about taking the technology for himself
Just like the canon, she gained a lot of information about the technology and detected The End, and once Eggman was told about the presence of an world consuming entity and the possibility of Sonic unleashing it, the thoughts of the "end of the world" was taking over his mind; Reflecting and changing his own will and goals, which makes him look like a lunatic in front of everyone including Sage
During the story his motivations for a world domination are changed to "see Sonic's smile go away over the world he couldn't save this time"

Eggman also linked Sage to all his creations so far, even if in this period Eggman hasn't matured enough to see Sage as a daughter he still envisions Sage as a successor to his legacy
So the interaction between them in this universe is not exactly like that of a family, but he treats her like one of his greatest creations
Sage also reports to Eggman that Metal Sonic was reactivated on his own and left Little Planet before Eggman sealed said planet in his Death Egg MK II, which is why they couldn't find him somewhere on the planet

Eggman explains to Sage how not every creation was made to be fully obedient: in Metal Sonic's case he was created to be a perfect equal to Sonic, with his own strategies and ambitions while the doctor discreetly give him improvements so as not to expose that the freedom Metal Sonic possesses is a lie
In fact, the doctor programmed Metal with the mindset that Sonic is robbing Metal and eventually others of their freedom, the rest of his mentality beyond that is all Metal Sonic's own experience. Everything Metal Sonic does goes according to the doctor's plans, and the advent of Sonic and the knowledge (discreetly transmitted by Sage) that he'll unleash the end of the world marks the return of Metal and his arrival on Starfall Island to defeat Sonic
At this point of the story that's where the Chapter 1 game starts, the duo Sonic and Tails would land safely on Sylvania Castle until something invades Tails' body and starts to haunt him, encouraging to break the seals (Titans) that are now remodeled by Eggman's liking
The End chose to host and deceive Tails instead of Sonic for not only being easier to fool but also to slowly break free through Tails' body while they explore the Starfall Islands long enough
And while Tails does get stronger with The End's cyber corruption (he even becomes able to carry Sonic underwater and the icy waters of White Park doesn't affect him very much) the more The End infects Tails with cyber corruption and tries to break free through him, the stronger the pain gets for Tails
If The End manages to break free through Tails instead of taking down the seals to unleash it, Tails will straight up die and his body fade as it's fully corrupted, and eventually their world will die too by The End consuming everything and turning the world into an endless void

...But this only happens if you don't get all the emeralds!
If you do get all Chaos Emeralds, you'll be able to progress through the game and play Sky Fortress and onwards
The End gets unleashed as the last seal was broken after the final boss, the world gets consumed with Tails being the only one alive, with The End tormenting him with last words of gratitude for him until Tails used all strength he still has to use the Emeralds to grant Sonic and everyone another chance to live
But as Tails started to use the emeralds, The End happend to be dragged into Tails to become extra power/part of his powerful wish

When the wish was granted, Tails was massively affected by the blast he caused, regressing him mentally and physically with Sonic being his only memory
The End also changed drastically, all its power drained and its physical form now merely the body of the ancient, who piloted Supreme, as a vessel
Since then The End has harbored a deep hatred for Tails for taking away all its power and seeks to replenish its power with whatever the new world offers

Meanwhile in the new world, you may definitely find new faces in here but familiar ones are also here as reincarnations of the original characters, the biggest example is Mighty the Armadillo; the reincarnation of Sonic
Mighty happend to find a big machine powered by a corrupted Chaos Rings, which in this world the Chaos Rings are backups of the ones that was dragged into cyberspace after dying in the original world, and a Chaos Ring with the remains of Sonic exist, although it seems that The End started to spread a bit of its influence and corruption, affecting machines and whatever they're being powered
The machine Mighty fights happend to be very corrupted, and once he released the Chaos Ring inside, the ring immediately shoots itself into Mighty and starts a forced merge
I've explained in this picture too
Studium and Kris (Kittenish) has still a long way to go and you'll be playing as them in Chapter 1 still and get more ideas of who they are in there

Sage is also around in the new world, as a cybernetic being she was able to enter the cyberspace and protect herself from the world consumption and Tails' world reset, her father however had a wicked idea to transfer his mind into his latest invention (and eventually you'll see which invention it is) so he pretty much died too before the world was getting consumed
I aim to show her on Chapter 2, but for now all you have to know is she's after The End in order to avoid another catastrophe, and recognizes Studium as The End's "remote doomsday weapon" at first, so it's also one of Sage's targets
Thanks to Sage being linked to Eggman's technology and saving herself on cyberspace, Eggman's technology also survived as they were identified and associated as ancient technology somehow
Meaning that Metal Sonic also survived, and once Studium/Sonic meets Metal, you can consider it one of the moments where things are about to be intense

Amy in this world isn't a natural reincarnation like Mighty is for Sonic and many other characters, in the original world the Death Egg MK II was confining Little Planet with the intent of just taking it over, but the technology by itself was going beyond Eggman's obligations: it wasn't sealing the planet, it was sucking the life out of it to power the Death Egg MK II and this only made Eggman more incredulous about the current events on Starfall Island

After the world reset, Death Egg MK II has survived with Little Planet still attached to it, however the planet was already dying
As a last act, the planet decided to spend his last vital energy dropping a magical seed like the others on Little Planet on Earth, sprouting a flower that'll give birth a person who has always shared love and care for Little Planet in the original world: Amy Rose
This was Little Planet's last gift to the world, and the individuals who found the newborn Amy in the flower were... Heavy and Bomb, also survivors of the world reset
And with Eggman out of the picture, they decide to take care of Amy and teach her to be a mechanic like them, and until then Amy has been a great inventor and always seeks to help those who are having difficulties
Oh and she also made her own megalopolis with the same name of Newtrogic High, with most attractions reminding you of "Sonic CD's good future rounds" and based on Solarpunk

Over time, she discovers more lost machines around the world that previously belonged to Eggman, and curiously they contain memories of this lost past. But there is one individual who's not happy with her tinkering with this technology:
His name was mostly known as Agent Stone, in this world he's the reincarnation of Eggman and was originally tasked to discover the creature that was murdering innocents, until he discovered Eggman's lost technology and went to secretly analyze it. Stone was impressed that there was another world and a brilliant mind like Eggman inventing many machines and doing the impossible, but one of the things that captivated Stone is a blue hedgehog that Eggman was always fighting with, a creature similar to the monster that murdered people in the current world
Stone interprets that Eggman's ambitions were to improve the world and stop this killer, so he dedicates himself to being an inventor based on Eggman's technology
And seeing that there is a pink girl taking these machines and modifying them in her own way revolts Stone for the disrespect this is towards Eggman's legacy, so Amy and Stone are most often in conflict

These two you'll see the most from me, I originally made them with the idea of being based on Sonic Crackers/Knuckles' Chaotix development where Sonic was converted into Mighty and Tails was mostly erased and only playable as a Knuckles with Tails' palette in an early prototype (Kris' body was closer to Knuckles shape in her first days before I decided to lean it more to Tails')
Studium's name is literally taken from an early name for Sonic Crackers called "Sonic Studium"
...which was probably supposed to be "Sonic Stadium" and ironically there's people that call Studium "Stadium", and honestly I'm very fine with that lmao
His character is pretty much the unintentionally cool and serious characters such as Shadow the Hedgehog, Meta Knight from Kirby, Zero from the Mega Man franchise, or hideous characters such as Steven from Strangled Red, and many other characters that served as inspirations for him
In Kris case, I didn't know how I'd name her besides throwing a name that represent "cat" and "devious", so I used Google Translate to discover a word fitting for a name and her nature, and so I named her Kittenish
I also realized some people had a hard time to spell or write her name, so I reduced it to "Kris", especially to reference another Kris that's from Deltarune as they're part of the inspirations for her character along with other inspirations

The world reset idea was something that I had because
1. Seeing how drastic Sonic Crackers changed into Knuckles' Chaotix with Tails kinda surviving the deletion made me envision it as a possible story
2. The way JoJo part 6 ends basically

Ooo, your take on the Kris Soul color theory is really interesting, I’ve never heard that one before! A combo of patience and integrity does seem fitting though, I’m def vibing with it. Any other reasons you theorize they have an azure soul?

sdgjklsjdg no uh. i forgor exactly how it started, friends and i did a lot of soul color wheel charting and it just seemed like a natural fit. they do have dark blue in their color scheme as well as cyan and the sense of Self is really important to them as a character so bringing in integrity just kind of made sense
there is one other small thing tho:
please consider the triangle formed by
-azure, as established
-rose, between perseverance and "determination" (for lack of an official red soul term), so stubborn and tenacious and not letting things stand in the way of their goals
-chartreuse, between justice and kindness, so giving and generous and wanting the right thing for as many people as possible even at one's own expense

6. His favorite activities are reading/writing/drawing, outside, soccer, fazerblast
7. Gregory loves reading books/comics/graphic novels and loves writing stories and stuff so he wants to be a author/cartoonist/comic book artist when he grows up to write and publish books
8. Freddy and Vanessa are the only adults he really trust in the pizzaplex apart from the other glamrocks and Luis
9. Gregory has no memory or recollection of who he is or was
10. Gregory and another character for some reason are immune to the g-t virus
11. Gregory’s character was inspired by kris/chara (undertale), child emperor (one punch man), Steven (Steven universe), and hiro (big hero 6)
Personality: this Gregory is quite similar to his game variant. Gregory is very smart, tenacious, relentless, friendly, curious, fun loving, he doesn’t seem to trust other adults/staff in the pizzaplex besides Vanessa and Freddy (along with the glamrocks and Luis), Gregory is a very curious child but can’t help but feel like his curiosity often leads him to unforeseen or dangerous events.

Umphrey’s McGee Deliver with Two-Set Show at Brooklyn Steel on Friday Night
Umphrey’s McGee – Brooklyn Steel – January 19, 2024
In the vanguard of 2000s-era jambands, Umphrey’s McGee have often been thought of as the prog-rock one, and undoubtedly, the way their more complicated tunes can sprawl out into guitar-storm, drum-clattering, puzzle-box creative madness recalls some prog-rock forebears, especially King Crimson. But prog is only a slice of how eclectic Umphrey’s can get and how they make that eclecticism a weapon instead of a neat trick. As a going concern for more than 25 years now (!), Umphrey’s shows travel what often feels like the full gamut, from arena rock to psychedelia to scraping-crunchy industrial metal, brain-bender jazz, acid blues, reggae and tender ballads. Yeah, there’s many a jamband trope — dual guitar stack-ups, lengthy excursions, brilliant improvisation, oblique lyrics and song titles, the kinds of setlist gymnastics most bands would go hands up at — but in each Umphrey’s era, they’ve sounded more like themselves, even as they got more varied, their songwriting got better and their fan base grew and stayed.
At Brooklyn Steel on Friday night, the first of three local shows in what’s become a traditional(-ish) Umphrey’s swing through NYC at this time of year, the six-piece got to business as only they know how, creating two sets of sonic voyages that sometimes felt like visits to little worlds, destination assured, and sometimes felt like madness-bordering searches for those worlds, destination unknown. They do both, equally well.
Set 1 stops included “There’s No Crying in Mexico,” “40’s Theme” and a long excursion from “Half Delayed” into the prog-metal “1348,” plus the big guitar crunch of “Hourglass.” “Sociable Jimmy” was that first stanza’s standout. It began like a gnarly Frank Zappa workout and moved into a soaring guitar noise. Set 2 featured the instrumental “Nothing Too Fancy,” starting with a wash of cooling synth, kicking up the kind of slippery drums-and-percussion you’d associate with Radiohead, and then going full Zeppelin stomp. Other highlights included “Cemetery Walk” — a Police-meets-Traffic kind of thing — which bled into its constant companion, “Cemetery Walk II,” keyboards-forward and somewhat soothing until its jittery drums kicked in again. The beloved “Ringo” — more than 20 years in the Umphrey’s repertoire — closed the show, its not-quite-laid-back-not-quite-jittery reggae lilt briefly shifting into a cover of Tenacious D’s “Kielbasa” before taking things home.
Umphrey’s McGee — as ever, guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger, keyboardist Joel Cummins, bassist Ryan Stasik, and the monster drums-percussion core of Andy Farag and (back behind the kit after an injury-sidelined 2023) Kris Myers — are so adept at so many styles because they seem to approach each of them like a really dialed-in jazz combo would. The lead instruments duck and weave around one another. The rhythm instruments are tight in the pocket. They all have big ears and use them. Improvisation is constantly inspired, rarely wonky or wanky. In another band this would all be too much, from the varying styles to the arsenal of effects and the fortress-like stage setup. Only Ratan Tata himself supported her in her endeavours. Kris Gopalakrishnan joined him as a co-founder of Infosys and was a significant early investment in the business.
The company can currently produce 30,000 vehicles per year and has sold over 20,000 vehicles.
2. Founder and CEO of Nykaa – Falguni Nayar
The traditional preconception presupposes that a woman will stop working after giving baby. And you might think about getting a career once the kids are grown.
At the age of 49, after a successful corporate career spanning more than two decades, she founded Nykaa.
Growing up in a business setting with the assistance of her tenacious father, Falguni Nayar learned the ins and outs of networking from a young age.

3. Founder & Creator of Menstrupedia – Aditi Gupta
In the twenty-first century, menstruation is still stigmatised. It is one of the societal taboos that worsens concerns with poor sanitation for women and young girls alike because of the shame and beliefs associated with it.
Aditi Gupta made the decision to break this taboo while simultaneously teaching young girls about the science involved. This goal inspired the development of the renowned comic book reference Menstrupedia.
Since she was a child, Gupta has had to deal with feelings of embarrassment whenever her menstruation is brought up. She came to understand that over 120 young girls experience this on a daily basis across the nation. As a result, she founded Menstrupedia in 2012 with Tuhin Paul, her future husband and business partner.
A guide about menstruation is included in the comic book, which is aimed at girls nine and older. The book's characters and plots have all been modified from real-life experiences that Gupta gathered while conducting research for it. It has been translated into 16 languages and is available in all countries.
The comic book became an overnight sensation and garnered numerous accolades, funding, and a partnership with Whisper India. Aditi was recognised in Forbes' list of the 30 under 30 for her outstanding work.

4. Founder of Biocon India – Kiran Mazumdar Shaw
Similar preconceptions existed in 1978 when Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, then 25 years old, founded the enzyme manufacturing company Biocon.
But her determination to succeed led her to apply for a small loan from Canara Bank, form a small team, and begin creating bio enzymes. Australia’s work gave her a thorough understanding of fermentation, which helped us to improve our R&D and grow operations effectively.
She made a significant step forward in 1998 when she started working in the pharmaceutical sector, producing things like monoclonal antibodies, statins, insulin, and immunosuppressants. Eventually, Mazumdar-Shaw increased both the production capacity and the range of goods offered by her company.
Biocon became the second Indian firm to surpass $1 billion on the first day of listing with an IPO that was oversubscribed 33 times and valued at $1.11 billion in the market In 2004.
Mazumdar-Shaw has also received various honours, such as the Othmer Gold Medal, and in 2019 Forbes ranked her as the 68th most powerful woman in the world.
5. Founder of Kalaari Capital – Vani Kola
Launching a start-up is one thing, but determining why a start-up has investment potential is another challenge for women entrepreneurs.
Vaani returned to India in 2006 after attaining her goals in the Silicon Valley and a celebrated entrepreneurial career spanning more than two decades. Vani wanted to research the venture capital sector and discover more about the local startup scene. But the situation was ambiguous and predictable.
Vani began spotting indications of possible start-ups after conducting comprehensive market research. These start-ups may help her create exceptional assets and change the future.
In the same year, she partnered with Vinod Dham, a fellow Silicon Valley businessman, to found Indo-US Venture Partners (IUVP), which was later acquired by New Enterprise Associates (NEA).
After four years in business, she made the decision to go it alone and changed the company's name to Kalaari Capital. Under Vani's direction, the firm now manages over 200 assets and has raised USD 740 million in total capital.

Sheep at it again with another dumb AU
The basic idea is that Spamton manages to rip the soul outta Kris, and through Dark World Magic™, Kris is turned into an Addison, and Spamton takes on the form of a human. IDK man, just go with it.
Spamton gives Kris his former accessories, as he “no longer needs them,” and starts to crib Kris’ style--because that’s what he does--as well as trying to take their place as “protagonist.”
Susie and Ralsei do Not like this of course, leading them to have to try and break away from Spamton (who is very tenacious and keeps following them, or demanding they follow HIM), and find Kris, who is trying to cope with this compulsion they now have to sell useless things at a very reasonable price.
I think Spamton’s ultimate goal is to get out of the Dark World as his “own man,” so he can further rip himself out of being a puppet. Additionally, to make it so he keeps listening to the player, you have to keep giving him Kromer.
Also, here’s a sketch of Spamton as a tiny little slime man.

i’ve been working on the most self indulgent au for about a week now and I thought i’d share my thoughts. now presenting... my ace attorney blaseball au! including teams, positions, modifications and more about all the ace attorney characters i could think of and how they would play blaseball. you can also find it on ao3 here, but ive included all the information i have below the cut!
Blase Attorney (Blaseball Ace Attorney AU)
Phoenix-
Team: Yellowstone Magic
Position: Batter
Modifications: Seeker
Details: one of the first replacements in the game, he was originally just a blaseball fan who was following around miles edgeworth his childhood friend to his games (disguised as him going to see Larry play) and sort of wished that he could play so he could get closer to miles and is at a magic/steaks game that miles is pitching when someone gets incinerated and suddenly he’s on the field in a jersey with a glove and that really messes him up, he's a pretty good player not a star player but definitely a solid one, gets the seeker mod in the season 19 tarot reading
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: REALLY high martyrdom
Maya
Team: Yellowstone Magic
Position: Batter
Modifications: Haunted
Details: she replaced Mia when she was incinerated and isn’t a season 1 player but has been here so long that it FEELS like she is, isn’t great at the game and has like really bad forbidden knowledge stats but she occasionally hits a surprise dinger and the fans love her so they infuse her and she becomes a serviceable batter, is constantly filled with guilt and emotions about being the person who replaced her sister she gets the haunted mod in an election
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: high base thirst, really good divinity that only gets better after her infuse
Edgeworth-
Team: Dallas Steaks
Position: Pitcher
Modifications: None
Details: season one player who didn’t really want to join blaseball but he took it in stride and he wasn’t very good at first but he got a blessing that MADE him good and he’s miraculously been on the team the whole time, originally placed in good league because Fran was in Evil and von Karma wanted them to dominate the game and become the best in their respective leagues, still one of the best players in the game, his dad still dies somehow, refuses to “buy into” the dad bit from the steaks and insists that he was just placed here
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: EXCEPTIONAL ruthlessness (one of the highest in the game), good other stats as well, just a really solid PITCHING statline, his other stuff isn’t good

Team: Hades Tigers
Position: Pitcher
Modifications: Friend of Crows
Details: season one player who fans LOVE even though she hates everything about the game and the circumstances in which she’s here, she’s a naturally good player but she lets up a lot of home runs, she receives the friend of crows modifier in season 10 much to her dismay, ALMOST pitched a perfect season and then absolutely RUINED it in the last game and it crushed her
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: higher highs than miles but also lower lows, in particular her overpowerment isn’t very good, she is also a more well rounded player and would also be a fine batter (solid thwack)
Gumshoe-
Team: Originally on the LA Unlimited Tacos, then feedbacked to the San Fransisco Lovers
Position: Batter
Modifications: Siphon, Attractor
Details: season one player that is beloved by the fans and he’s decent at the game but he always tries to steal bases but he is so bad at it, he’s the teams siphon but he NEVER drinks blood except to draw a walk, he ends up getting redacted because of consumer attacks and is probably one of the first to do so despite him having QUITE a bit of soul, he becomes Wyatt Gumshoe in the Wyatt Masoning
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: GREAT thwackability, bad everything else which makes for a really interesting player to say the least

Team: Miami Dale
Position: Pitcher
Modifications: None
Details: POWERFUL ARMS also she is a replacement player she probably becomes a replacement after Simon does and she got into blaseball because of that cute flowers pitcher and now she’s here but she LOVES Miami and she LOVES being bad at the game, she leans really hard into the neon aesthetic
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: good unthwackability and ok ruthlessness, shakespeareanism is her highest stat, would also be a great batter and has really good thwackability and divinity, GREAT vibes
Apollo-
Team: Mexico City Wild Wings
Position: Batter
Modifications: None
Details: founding member of the wings legal team who’s another replacement player that FEELS like he’s a season 1 player, he isn’t very good in general but REALLY good for the wings and is probably the mvp at some point but like he’s a really inconsistent hitter but when he DOES hit its POWERFUL and he gets a lot of RBI’s
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: SHOCKINGLY good musclitude and ground friction, GOD awful moxie
Larry-
Team: Dallas Steaks
Position: Batter
Modifications: None
Details: season one player who is like the teams designated player we beat up on because they’re awful but we love them, gets shadowed in the expansion era because he just wasn’t good anymore and he REFUSED to leave, he is the definition of “YOU CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS,” would always party but his forbidden knowledge is TRASH so it was never worth anything because he’s top ten in the league for career strikeouts
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: REALLY HIGH PATHETICISM HOLY SHIT but good ground friction and like, ok musclitude
Ema-
Team: Kansas City Breath Mints
Position: Batter
Modifications: Fire Eater
Details: replaced the first player incinerated on the team so she has a lot of fans because she’s been here a while but like also her career is forever impacted by the fact that people mourned so deeply before really appreciating her and a lot of fans can never really love her in the same way, but she has fire eater now and WILL cut a bitch down to size, she’s also definitely been attacked by consumers though, she also parties a LOT
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: good defender, high omniscience and tenaciousness

Details: replaced a SUPER popular player who was REALLY good at the game and struggled with a lot of the implications of their legacy but he ALSO became really good and a really iconic player to the team and eventually became a fan favorite, LITERALLY cannot stop freaking drinking blood hes so fucking massive now holy shit but like only his baserunning
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: PHENOMENAL baserunning just in general but his base thirst is low so he doesn’t actually steal that much, SUPER high moxie and musclitude

Team: Baltimore Crabs
Position: Pitcher
Modifications: Returned, Debt
Details: season 1 player who was a really aggressively middling player who had deceptively high stars and they could never get rid of him until he finally got incinerated in late season 6/early season 7 but he gets necromancy-d on accident and no one wanted this now he just haunts the league, he joined blaseball to get notoriety and some level of fame and convinced Klavier to join him
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: high coldness and ok ruthlessness, unthwackability is fine, shakespeareanism is also good
Klavier-
Team: Originally on the Crabs, but feedbacked to the Seattle Garages
Position: Batter
Modifications: Spicy
Details: he signed up when Kristoph did. because he said that this would be something good to do as brothers and they even signed to the same team, carcinization really freaked him out but he was a season 1 crab and no one knew what would happen, he Feedbacked in like season 6 and kris got incinerated really shortly after he feedbacked which messed him up, he loves the garages vibes WAY more than he liked the crabs

Team: Charleston Shoe Thieves

Details: shoe thieves, batter, she was originally a shadows player and just sat there doing great thief things until she got called up for having very sneaky good stats (rod.net style) where she singles a lot and then just steals her way to third/home, voted to trust her in season 11 and now she has cool flippers
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: really high basethirst and laserlikeness, also very high anticapitalism, good thwack subpar musclitude

Team: New York Millennials, possible feedback to the Thieves?

Details: his dad was a famous blaseball player before the ILB so he signed him up to play and didn’t get on the roster until maybe like season 9, really dramatic arc where he starts out really bad but slowly through incremental stat increases becomes pretty ok but then has a devastating allergic reaction and ends up having to be shadowed because he’s just unsaveable at this point, but still a big fan fave and people still talk about them, he would’ve been a pretty ok batter with really high defense but peanut destroyed that too

Position: Originally a batter, but reverbs into Pitching
Modifications: None
Details: season 1 player who is really popular amongst the fans but isn’t well known outside of the fanbase she joined blaseball because she didn’t really have a choice and she was just working at the garden, she wasn’t a great batter but she’s a shockingly good pitcher, she had partied so much that she is now just undeniably good solely because she has partied THAT much
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: SHOCKINGLY good ruthlessness, its her only good stat though until parties make her good

Details: another late season replacement that was made to be a edgelord with really good stat set up and he’s a super consistent batter who just also gets walked a lot and has a LOT of thirsty fans, REALLY good at dunking, one of the best idols for solo seeds but ONLY for a SINGLE season because he just underperforms his stars for NO reason and its infuriating, joined because he didn’t want athena to get recruited but she followed him anyways to find out what the hell happened to him and why he just vanished

Details: joined the team before Sebastian probably around season 5, was pretty average at pitching but ate a peanut and had a yummy reaction which made her slightly above average but subpar ruthlessness made her still not great, traded away to the Jazz Hands after Sebastian was shadowed, really polarizing for fans there was a lot of fighting about whether or not to trade her from fans

Team: Yellowstone Magic
Position: Batter
Modifications: None
Details: was the season 1 stand out batter for the magic, she was a REALLY good season 1 player that fans STILL talk about even though she’s been dead since season 3, she was the person who was standing next to Phoenix when he appeared on the field and caught the ball that was flying towards him before it hit him in the face and she took it upon himself to get him acclimated to the game, she thought of him as a kid brother, she tried to keep Maya away from blaseball but couldn’t stop her from watching on TV, she originally joined to get away from the Fey clan and to try and do something with her life and also possibly find out what happened to her mother and she was promised social power and unlimited access to information
Notable Forbidden Knowledge: really solid statline for someone who never saw any improvements
Phoenix and Miles get together around season 6, right before the Jaylen stuff, then break up because they were both having a lot of emotions about the whole necromancy business and Miles was always on the idol board and there was a lot of uncertainty in their lives. I think a necromancy of Kristoph probably happens in the Expansion Era and he tries to get revenge on Phoenix for god knows what, and Miles ends up getting close with him again after a whole Grand Siesta of just being really emotionally charged friends and finally get together AGAIN in season 13 after a consumer attacks Phoenix, but this time they STAY together and probably get married because they're just so scared of losing each other.
Kay gets to fight god in season 9, no this probably wouldn't have been possible if she was a shadows player originally but uwu <3
Kay and Miles get to know each other because she tried to steal Miles shoes, but he caught her. He offered to make her dinner and they just had a good time, Kay hadn’t really been shown that kind of kindness in a WHILE and she... missed that sort of father figure in her life... so she just keeps trying to steal things from Miles and getting caught until he finally tells her that she can just... come over through the front door. He will never say that she is his daughter out loud, but the collective dadconcious Knows, and tells him that they are proud of him.
Maya and Franziska are rivals. They hate each other. When Maya gets 0 no it only makes it worse because it "ruins" Franziska's perfection as a pitcher and forces her to throw balls. They get to know each other over these pitch offs and start to realize that they actually aren't that different. Gay rights. They kiss. They have a great time over the Grand Siesta and make fun of their brothers, but they both have emergency bags in case the other one dies.
Dahlia Hawthrone would never get involved in Blaseball and everything she does is outside of the game but if she was she'd be on the Boston Flowers and she would be her team's Pudge. A god awful player who on occasion actually does something good and half the fans love her because of her character and half the fans hate her for the same reason and also she sucks at the game.
Most of them also still have their law degrees and also keep some semblance of what they do in the actual ace attorney games, except Ema who has of course factually failed the bar exam by nature of being on The Breath Mints.

Redneck Sheriffs #5 of 5 - Ernest Borgnine as Sheriff Lyle Wallace (AKA ‘Dirty Lyle’)
My last post of 2020 concludes my list of favourite redneck Sheriffs of the film world. As a lover of country and western music and big rigs, it should come as no surprise that the 1978 classic Convoy is a favourite of mine. When it comes to redneck Sheriffs, ‘Dirty Lyle’ is my sentimental favourite. He was another provincial rogue with an axe to grind. In his case, he had a particular hatred for truckdrivers and the fact that they earned quite a bit more than he did. This was the impetus behind Convoy, itself based on the 1975 smash hit song of the same name and directed by action movie legend Sam Peckinpah.
In a truckstop diner encounter with the protagonists (pictured at the top), Dirty Lyle comes across as a particularly loathsome figure when he picks on black driver Spider Mike (played by later stand-up comic Franklyn Ajaye). When Spider Mike hits back, all hell breaks loose. A chase ensues which seems comical at first but soon snowballs way out of control. The self-serving news media and a scheming politician (cult favourite Seymour Cassel) join the mayhem, each with ulterior motives but eager to appear sympathetic with the grievances of the growing numbers of truckdrivers who tag along. In the meantime, Dirty Lyle spends the middle third of the movie hovering on the outer fringes of the chaos, patiently awaiting his opportunity to exact revenge. As the song goes, “watch for his chance to strike...”
Like all good action movies, the villain eventually takes centre stage and gets to strut his stuff in spectacular style. Dirty Lyle is so uncontrollable in the finish that even the police manning the Mexican border roadblock run for cover after he commandeers an M60 machine gun mounted atop the National Guard’s M42 Duster tank. He is a picture of pure, boiling hatred as he tenaciously guns down the local hero, Martin ‘Rubber Duck’ Penwald (Kris Kristofferson). This is the kind of thing Will Teasle desperately wanted to do to John Rambo but never received the chance.

The late screen legend Ernest Borgnine was just the man to give life to a charismatic villain like Lyle Wallace. Dirty Lyle was just one in a long line of sadistic villains that Borgnine played with great relish in a lengthy and varied career. Earlier the same decade, he played the cruel train conductor Shack in Emperor Of The North Pole. He vowed to kill any freeloading hobos that tried to bum a ride on his trains and ended up in a battle of wills with the vagrant played superbly by Lee Marvin (pictured above).
Borgnine’s portly figure, piercing eyes and gravelly voice made him the ideal choice to play villainous parts. But Ernest was far from being a one-trick pony and was a multi-faceted actor. He initially came to prominence in the mid-fifties in Marty, a tender love story in which he played the lonely butcher of the movie’s title. Early the following decade, he branched out and showed the world he had quite a flair for comedy when he became a household name in the riotous TV sitcom McHale’s Navy. It is one of Hollywood’s lovely ironies that the hateful Dirty Lyle was portrayed by one of the warmest, most lovable celebrities in showbusiness. Everyone who knew and worked with Borgnine recalled a benevolent, heartwarming figure who is sadly missed following his passing in early July 2012 at the age of 95.
The last two shots show Ernest posing with his longtime stunt double Bob Herron. It was Bob behind the wheel when Lyle’s stolen Chevy swerves off the highway and smashes through a billboard and the top of a barn. Bob and Ernest met for the last time in September 2011 while Ernest was filming Love's Christmas Journey at the old Little House On The Prairie TV series set in Simi Valley, CA.

Adventure of a Lifetime - Coldplay
This is in part because this guy would love Coldplay, and another is he’d take it so personally, especially when he started to become an adventurer. He left his family and fortune behind to create his own destiny. In part its thanks to just happening to find an article on the Warrior of Light slaying a primal. A nobody comes in and saves Thanalan, possibly Eorzea with nothing but her wit. It inspired him, and he was so excited to start his own journey from somebody’s shadow to somebody himself.
I’m Only Human After All - Rag’n’Bone Man
Raiku will be knocked down; many times. He was never the strong one, but he’s tenacious and knows how to control a crowd. He’d listen to this song when he needed a moment to himself, and get himself out of his own mindset. He’s a perfectionist, and hard on himself, he just needs to remind himself he’s only human Lalafellin.
Black Coast- TRNDSTTR (Lucian Remix)
Raiku’s a confident guy. He loves himself and the way he looks, and most things that come out of his mouth. When he was working in Eulmore as a dancer he would have this as his personal song. Picking someone out in the crowd to focus on like his coworkers suggested really helped add allure and intrigue to an already intriguing possibility of a dwarvin dancer.
Emperor’s New Clothes - Panic! at the Disco
Okay so this one? One time I had the idea to have Raiku taken over by voidsent and what would he be like? A dramatic, flamboyant demon would work. He would create huge productions and sing at his victims, both to add to their confusion and because it’s fun. Everytime I hear it I think about it, and this kid would 100% be into P!atD
Girls/Girls/Boys - Panic! at the Disco

Right now this is her #1 song for me. It embodies so much of who she is and how people perceive her.
I put a Spell on You - Alpines
Everyone needs a slow walk to the right song. Partly because she’s a summoner, partly because I think she’s beautiful not in the traditional sense. She’s captivating on the battlefield for her intensity and finality. Do not be caught under her spell.
Big Bad Wolf - In This Moment
Going from put together to agonizing rage. This song is particularly for her fight with Thordan, when she nearly let her bahamut trance fully take over. She loved Haurchefant, and to have him ripped from her right after rescuing Aymeric from his father was too much. Her anger caged her. During the fight she was weakened from the battle with the Ascian’s, and Raiku was getting pummeled, and it was too much. A caged animal in dangerous, especially when one of the few members of her pack was in danger.
Flaws - Daughter
She’s someone who tends to bottle her feelings, to the point she has a specific spot to scream out her internal storm. Far away from people she’ll finally let herself fall into her bad moods and melancholy, letting the elements take her shouts and drown them in the wind until she has nothing left but cathartic exhaustion.
Dark Matter - Les Friction
This is a song I use when I was writing about her fight with Hades. How she’s spitting up light and near taken over and turned into a sin eater. The near hopelessness she felt in the white room. Then, she decides to take one more step. One more step to understand the darkness in herself she’s been fighting against for so long.
