[11052023] Bot Practice: V1

I really wanna get into drawing robots so I can draw my characters but lack experience. Decided the best way to go about it is to draw fanart of existing bots so I can learn like, what everyone else does. Lol

First bot to my mind was V1. I've drawn him before but never really drew with the intention of learning. Went ahead and took the first image I found and heavily ref'd it as I lazily sketched, allowing myself to make mistakes because hey, here to learn, not stress over perfect details.

[11122023] V1 Captcha Test

Multiplayer Ultrakill be like FT: @enderianartz (purple goat), @inv-kob (pink dragon), and me (dark grey cat).

Yes this actually happened, we were in a call while Kob streamed. Kob jumped into this level again after finishing it the first time. I was encouraging this behavior. We got stuck on the puzzles a second time. Ender was suffering. It was glorious, 10/10 would do again.

Also I like the idea us being the angel/devil on V1's shoulder but we're total gremlins. No one else can see us, we're not tangible & can't interact with the world unless we take control of V1.

V1 frequently needing to nudge our control because we almost died again. V1 being tolerant but its totally looking for a way to get rid of us like we're a virus or something. V1 facepalming whenever I fall off the map or Kob blows up with one of the weapons. V1 thinking it can find solace in Ender but no Ender is just as much of a gremlin as the rest of us. V1 probably questioning if it should cut back on the blood and take a day off or something.

idk, comedic potential 100, expect more like this at some point

Ultrakill Brainrot Moment

So for self-inserts right. I like the idea of reskins of the v-series to represent the user / player, kinda like in MOBAs or fighting games. The v-series build and appearance is the perfect base, both for the reskin idea and if anyone decides to go wild and add more to it.

On that note, low-effort self insert time. Lolol.

Ultrakill spoilers for the scenes/ends of Act I and Act II ahead.

Also lots of swearing. I swear a lot when it's something I'm very passionate about / raving about things. Swears just kinda emphasize sentences for me. lol

Anyway ramble time because I have no one else to ramble to about this specific thing at the moment without it being spoiler territory. Lol.

ACT I

The end of this act pissed me off so much when I first encountered it. Like, until that point I was mad at Gabriel because I kept getting my shit kicked in by him.

But then I saw the ending scene.

And unholy fuck the HATRED I felt for the council was beyond anything I've felt in a game before. Like they pulled off the whole fucking holier-than-thou parasitic religious vibe so well it's like they took from personal experience with that one. I got so fucking ANGRY I had to put down the game for a bit to cool off because FUCK.

Major props to how well written that was, they really hit the nail on the head there. 10/10. Definitely felt empathy for Gabriel after that.

Act II

So when I tell you I literally fucking CHEERED like a dude at a sports game when I saw the end of this act, I'm not joking.

'FUCK YEAHHHH, FUCK YEEEAHHHHH! LETS FUCKIN GOOOOOO!'

I was so fuckin happy for Gabriel like unholy shit, you go dude, you're awesome as fuck. Murder all those fucking parasitic shitstains.

I was so fuckin happy that when it was revealed he'd die after a few hours or so, it hit like a truck. I'd seen some fanart and stuff mention it but I'd been given the slightest bit of hope it wasn't true when the scene went on for as long as it did with focus on the council.

But it's true. A part of me hopes it's not. Just because it's said doesn't mean it'd happen. Maybe it's a delusion from the council that they'd die without the power. or something. My brain really trying to look for any optimistic outcome here, even if it's painfully likely it wont happen. lmfao

Godfuck that was a rollercoaster of emotion.

I fuckin love Ultrakill.

I may or may not have fallen behind immediately on Day 1 because I got too gay for a fictional robot and couldn't focus on anything else, oops.

Anyway I'm slowly working on the Bootober prompts! > Gonna keep them in batches like this > Based on Leayph because I've been drawing savras for years now + a lot of the prompts fit well with the world, lol.

Day 1: Ghost (based on the Apparition Gene!)

Day 2: Bugs (based on the Lady Bug Gene!)

Day 3: Whose at the Door? (unfortunately not my funni OG idea but I wasn't vibing with the OG and was aboutta fall behind another day; realistically I should be drawing the prompts like this anyway to stay sane. Lol)

Day 5: Moss (based on the Savra Statue (Stone) item!)

Bootober time~

Back to digital, main arm feels better lol. Here's the next three prompts~

Day 26: Haunted Doll

Used a color palette for this as a part of the fun "2 artists, 1 palette" idea my friend suggested my group do, aha! (Unfortunately not sure where my friend got the palette from - gonna assume pinterest based on the quality drop it had. heh.)

Also for FOUR DAYS I misread this prompt as LIVING doll and now I feel like I slipped into an alternate universe where that ONE thing is different. I only found out when I went to upload this to my main socials. LOL.

Day 27: Grave

Wanted to roll with another color palette, one I've been eyeing for the past few days now: "Eldritch Horror" from @color-palettes

Inspired by a cat standing on a gravestone, I picked out the second most recent savra in creature search (an Iridescent gene) and rolled with it. Was a littttle difficult with less colors but worked out pretty well I think!

Subtle nod to Ironhand and his song Unwanted from V.H.E.M (Voluntary Human Extinction Movement) on that headstone there. One of my fav songs, it conveys so much without a single word.

Day 28: Cryptid

Opted for Mothman bc it was the first one to intro me to the world of cryptids all those years ago~ No palettes this time, just simple greyscale with red eyes bc I wasn't feeling good. Lol.

[11022023] Anthro Moroi Dootch

Doodle/Sketch that was kinda a warmup as I tried to figure out what I should do now that I'm not driven by prompts anymore. Lol. Ended up with an anthro version of Moroi. He can't exactly wear shirts because of his back fins/back spikes so he ends up wearing shawls often. He do be rockin those traveler pants and monstera sandals tho. Not sure on his abilities yet, just needed something for him to interact with, lol. I imagine they'd be shadow-themed in some way.

Halloween got pretty busy and I'm not totally satisfied with how these last two turned out BUT they're good enough and good enough is fine~

I had a lot of fun with this prompt list! The prompts were fun, the rest days weren't exactly rest days for me but they allowed me to keep up better which I'm super grateful for, and I learned a new thing or two while drawing so much~ 10/10

Everything below was drawn traditionally with my non-dominate hand because my main drawing arm started hurting too much to use. The only digital part in them is my watermark. Lolol.

Me: I'm done with everything right now I need to de-stress.

Me: *opens ultrakill and starts playing violent difficulty*

Me: *accidentally P-ranks but is speeding through the results screen*

Me: wait were those all S's???

Spoiler Alert: Yes, yes they were

For context, I'm notoriously horrible at playing video games, especially any that require fast thinking and/or reaction times.

I'm a slow motherfucker, I have no memory so I often struggle to pull out the correct weapon (not attacking = wasted time = being murked), I miss almost every shot from blind firing and typically die from falling off the map. Hell I got stuck in a death loop for a minute or two on the next level because the respawn point was right where enemies spawned + next to lava I kept falling into.

I frequently joke about how enemies would experience empathy and offer to off themselves instead because I'm so bad I can't even hit them when they're standing in front of me unmoving. I initially laughed when I saw the description for Harmless because even a mountain is leagues faster than me. Lolol.

So when I thought I saw all S ranks on violent difficulty, I mentally paused in shock like, 'Did I see that right??'

100% ruined the flow (not like it mattered since the game crashed in the next level anyway LUL) but when I saw I got P rank I got excited.

It's not my first P rank if we count the one on Harmless (which I only played to experience the story) but it feels like it is because it feels legitimately earned. 10/10

Bootober but I fell behind all three days and somehow finished them all on what should've been a rest day. LOL

Day 13 + 14: Wizard + Black Cat

Honestly at this point I was behind two days so I just combined them. Think it worked out well though! The staff and cat are based on existing items ingame~

Day 15: Tarot Card

Kinda ehh but I did this one kinda quick with the intention of being caught up before midnight my time. Maybe one day I'll fix this up to look better. lol

I don't know much of anything about Tarot Cards but I have a dragon-themed Tarot deck and decided it'd be super fun to pick out three shuffled/random cards and reference them with Savras taking the place of the dergs~

Ended up with Queen of Chalices, Ace of Wands (1), and Pentacles (6). Neat combo, aha.
