I love the reveal this episode that Feral Jirou was the original personality. We take it for granted that regular Jirou was the original personality as he's dominant more often. It's a cool twist imo.

Ace 1000% cares. He's just pretending he doesn't. Tbh I'm of the opinion that Ace hasn't ever truly lied. He's constantly at this sort of halfway point between lies and truth, hard to pin down and get a true sense of who he is, true to his nature as a trickster fox. We do eventually get a sense of who he truly is and why he tends not to get attached to others. There's also a method to his madness in the DGP. You're gonna be surprised by what his wish is but ot makes sense as a logical extension of his Star of the Star of the Stars wish. Also small spoiler but the wishes do stack. So a new wish doesn't override an old wish necessarily. I'm not sure how a conflicting wish would be handled though.

Also a somewhat important point from either the writer or the director (I can't quite remember which) is that the Riders and their ID Cores (the thing in the centre of their belts) are linked, both in-universe and out, meaning that Ace is Geats and Geats is Ace, so you won't get stuff like Keiwa becoming Geats for an episode or something like that.

Ok so small spoiler that I won't go too into detail for but Geats is by far the most experienced person in the game and I love how that comes across in his fighting style. It's bot only stylish and flashy but he's also able to use unconventional methods with even seemingly useless buckles to make them very effective, the water thing this episode being another great example.

I do really love the way Ace fights. It’s super creative and very out-of-the-box thinking, making use of anything in his environment

Ok so a few things. Firstly notice that Geats immediate action when saving Keiwa and Neon is to break the tension of the moment. I also love how his experience in the DGP (Desire Grand Prix) is shown through his skillful fighting style (something we'll see further in future episodes). The two bodyguards are played by longtime Kamen Rider fans. The white one is a stuntman and the black one is a cosplayer. They're awesome characters. I wanna talk some more but as it's only episode one I'm gonna wait until more is revealed. All I'll say is that this episode is mild compared to later eps lol.
