Alistair

First impression

From the first moment we meet Alistair he is so goofy and charming I knew in like 5 seconds he was going to be the first character I romanced

Impression now

That's my boy!! He's so important to me!! I love the way he can simultaneously be a noble hero intent on saving the world and a man who refuses to take command embarking on a revenge quest

Favorite moment

This is so difficult to choose so I'm cheating and picking two. I love the moment where the Warden gives him his mother's amulet and he's just completely floored that anyone would listen to him when he speaks 😭

I also love the rose conversation, especially because it always happens in the worst places. In my canon playthrough, it was in the elven crypts surrounded by werewolf corpses. Romance!

Idea for a story

LET HIM MEET HIS MOM. AND KNOW SHE'S HIS MOM.

Unpopular opinion

Do other people think he's a bit of a bitch? Idk if that's unpopular but I think so. I say this with love in my heart, it's something I enjoy about him, he's a lil bitchy

Favorite relationship

I'm basic so I have Alistair/Cousland as my canon but I think both Tabris and Aeducan could have extremely interesting narratives with him

Favorite headcanon

Alistair may not be a mage but I do think he's a little more magically inclined than your average joe in Ferelden

Vivienne

First impression

She was so collected and in control I just wanted her to like me lol. Also instantly made me feel my Inquisitor was underdressed.

Impression now

Very complicated women who does not share much of herself, but if you take the time to engage with her opinions she's genuinely a caring and emotional character

Favorite moment

Kind of sucks that this is in a DLC but I do love the little spa day cutscene in Trespasser, it's such a Vivienne way of trying to take care of Quiz

Idea for a story

I'd like to write about Vivienne as a mentor figure, just in terms of experience and confidence I think she'd be a strict but good teacher

Unpopular opinion

Vivienne is absolutely worth befriending and even if the majority of players disagree with her viewpoints, it's understandable why she thinks the way she does

Favorite relationship

I always enjoy the banters between Vivienne and Cassandra, they have really different strengths but they seem to respect each other a lot

Favorite headcanon

I like to think Vivienne and Bastien's wife were really close friends! It seems like mistresses at least sometimes openly accepted in Orlesian high society, and the few mentions of the wife in canon make it sound like they were at least cordial, but I think it went further and they actually got along really well
