Atem wants to do something nice for tkb, so he invites him on a vacation for two that he won at a raffle or something and they go there and Bakura is convinced that the only reason Atem invited him on a semi-romantic get away alone is because he wants to kill him.
So like any smart person, Bakura would instead constantly make attempts at Atem's life so he wouldn't be the one to die, but all his murder schemes fail and end up looking like weird attempts at flirting on his side and Atem is completely charmed by that and he thinks Bakura's only goal by accepting the invitation is to woo him.
Hijinks ensue and they accidentally get married or something.

Bakura: *gets closer out of morbid curiosity* *is weirdly flattered*
Atem: *leaning fully on Bakura’s shoulder* Y-you know something? You- you wanna know something? If we hadn't been enemies I... I would've. Would have. You know what I would've done?
Bakura: No I don't know. Tell me.
Atem: I'd've. I. I would... *giggles* *leans heavier on Bakura’s shoulder* You're so warm. You smell nice.
Bakura: *suddenly realizing how far this got* *strained* That's nice. What were you saying earlier?

realizing atem was turned away from continuing his shadow penalty games because he realized they were derived from the evil power of the millenium puzzle is making me think. a lot. about how he wasn't allowed to depict grief over realizing his own family and most of his court used the same evil power of ALL the millenium items against Kul Elna.
like :/
this is a young man that paints himself as a beacon of righteousness because he is so entrenched in his fear of being guilty of being an evil spirit and king. so much so it spans beyond his amnesia. and then bakura, who up until that point he considered nothing more than a demon, makes him face TKB who is a victim of his village's vengeance and Zorc's manipulation.
what was going through his mind, having to defeat the victim of the evil of the millenium items that was now seeking to use them to raise darkness itself? i think he should've been allowed a moment to break, to come to terms with the reality that his father may not have been the righteous ruler he modeled in his mind, to apologize to TKB even if futile and think about how there are wrongs that can't be righted. to mourn.

I had to save answering the best for last. It's the longfic idiots, so you already know I go feral for these two. And I'm sure you know there are multiple bingo's on this particular board lol
I use the Hateshipping for these two, because hate is their love language. It's the only ship name that truly describes these two. TKB in Yami B body while actively pursuing Atem who is no longer Pharaoh is my cup of coffee (which reminds me, I made coffee and forgot about it again lol)

💚 a ship that you think deserves more love
What a question... there is so many of them, I could talk about those forever, too...
Especially ships including our amazing girls...
It's so niche of me to ship Illusionshipping (Mai Kujaku x Yami Marik) and finding any content that isn't brutally violating is... REALLY hard 🥲 practically impossible, tbh.
For the sake of your character, I'll pick Boundshipping (Yuugi Mutou x Thief King Bakura) though.
Like, I know that is also a bit niche, but there is AT LEAST sparse content for this one. This is a great AU ship. You can do 500 plots with this ship and they never get old.
It can be funny, sad, EXTREMELY NAUGHTY, or really super sober... I really love to read fiction about it. (But I'm a dirty Caste/Kingshipper (Thief King Bakura x Atem) as well, sooooo x'D))
It definitely deserves a lot more love!

Got an idea for a TKB x Ryou x Atem fic that may or may not ever see the light of day, but! Trying to figure out a ship name... since none exists!
So there's:
Casteshipping (Atem x TKB) (Also sometimes Kingshipping I think)
Fragileshipping (Ryou x Atem) (Also saw Confusionshipping)
Gemshipping (TKB x Ryou)
My first thought is BadJokeShipping because:
A Pharaoh, a King, and a Wizard walk into a bar...
It writes itself. But for real... I dunno. Any suggestions, thoughts?
I'm thinking something like jewel related because TKB steals precious things, which I think is where Gemshipping came from (Ryou is a gem, I guess?) and Atem also fits that being a pharaoh and all.

Prompt: Bakura lays down on top of Atem to sleep thinking it’ll be obnoxious and annoying, but actually helps Atem fall asleep faster due to basically being a living, heated, weighted blanket.
Bonus: Atem hugs in his sleep.

So a lot of Casteshipping/Kingshipping fanfic tends to focus on Atem providing emotional support for Bakura. Acknowledging Kul Elna, the Millennium Items, Bakura's time being manipulated by Zorc, etc.
And that's all well and good, it's necessary, but very rarely do I see it going the other way. Bakura needs to provide emotional support to Atem as well.
For example, I feel like Bakura would forget from time to time that Atem was alone, for 3000 years. Bakura had a number of hosts before the Ring came to Ryou, but Atem? Atem had no one.
So Bakura might make an off-handed comment about how close Yugi and Atem are, didn't Atem care for any of the others? Only for Atem to respond "Others...? There were no others. The Puzzle was hidden away until Yugi solved it."
I also headcanon that because of his time in the Puzzle, Atem now suffers from claustrophobia. He might not even realize it until he's in the middle of an episode and goes catatonic.
For example, Atem and Bakura are in an elevator together, only to have it stall between floors. Bakura isn't thrilled, but he's not out of action. By contrast, as soon as Atem realizes he's trapped he sinks to the floor, totally unresponsive.
Also, I imagine that the whole "total amnesia" thing was more traumatic than Atem lets on. Bakura constantly makes jokes about it, and Atem tries to take it in stride, but one day one of the jokes hits too close to home and he cracks.
Bakura has to backtrack, offer comfort, and reassess his ideas on Atem's perceived invulnerability.
