13. If youre OC could physically fight another character, who would it be and would they win?
100% it's Rook. Rook has a certain... punchable quality to him that Obi would happily oblige in. And Rook is more than happy to stoke those fires. I'm pretty sure these two duke it out regularly regardless of any actual beef. Both of them find it pretty fun to let loose some steam. (Honestly, its a challenge for both of them given their different methods of preferred combat)
On who would win? Honestly, I'd say Rook. Man is actually trained in hand to hand, has a lot of experience and the bow is a huge advantage when keeping Obi at a distance.
That's not to say Obi will always lose. Have you ever heard that trained fencers and chess players have a hard time going up against newbies? Mainly because these two sports are so deeply entrenched in strategy that a complete beginner who has no clue what they're doing throws a wrench in that. Yeah that is just Obi. The main challenge with him is that Rook has no clue what he's going to do next. So you bet Obi is not going out without knocking some teeth in.
(Vil absolutely hates this. Oh god, man is suffering.)

Though now I'm curious, does Obi have some hidden magic?
The short answer is yes. Obi can't cast any magic, but he is more sensitive to it than other magicians. Obi can see, hear and smell magic even before it is cast. And at some point he can interact with it as well. He has to learn and observe these sensations for a while before he can learn to predict spells that are coming his way.
This was a thumbnail I had in mind for a while. But it never went anywhere. So i just decided to post it now. LOL

I'm not dead. School just has been busy and I decided to art grind a bit rather than pushing out fanart. I've been trying to work on color through color studies. But I also wanted to brush up on my fundamentals so I've been following tomfoxdraws anatomy book. He's really good at breaking down the planar angles of anatomy. His book is probably one of my favorites for studying anatomy.
(I have aphantasia and one thing I really struggle with is when people teach using curves? Idk if that makes sense. But curves are really hard for me to recall and practice. I really like angles because I can measure distances more easily. So the cuboidal way tomfoxdraws does their breakdowns makes my brain happy.)

Chapter 7 has devastated me. I can’t recover so I’m coping by putting way too much effort into another au.
NGL this was inspired by a poll I did a while back when I asked what dorm obi would be in. The winner was Diasomnia.
So…. What if Obi was the diasomnia housewarden before Malleus? Like he’s a second year and then bam news comes out that the prince of briar valley is enrolling in NRC.
How would he react seeing a first year Malleus? Would Crowley pressure Obi to pass up the position the Malleus?
