A/N: How did I only just now find out how romantic the Arabic language is? I was looking up endearments and nicknames and I went down the rabbit hole of cuteness. I now have to write a thousand more Layla fics to fit all this cuteness in! I’m literally planning fics around phrases I’ve found. Don’t have a plot—just a cute as shit phrase.

A/N 2: I found this in the deep archives of my lost stories so I switched it to fit Layla and I love Layla too much not to share. It’s tiny and basically no plot, but we need more Layla fics

“Please! Baby! Please don’t leave me!” You begged, clutching her hands. “I’ll be better this time! I promise!”

Layla rolled her eyes fondly at you. “You say that every time, ya rouhi. And every time I believe you, you do it again. I can’t be late for work again!” She tried tugging her hands from yours to no avail. She laughed. “Let go of me, nathel! I need to go to work!”

It was eight in the morning, and you knew you were making her late, but you couldn’t help it. You didn’t want her to leave. You never did. Hence the dramatics.

“What if you promise to make cookies later?” You wheedled. You couldn’t bake for shit, but you were desperate.

She raised an eyebrow. “Why would I voluntarily get food poisoning?”

“Because you love me.” You wiggled your eyebrows until she smiled.

She stepped closer, stepping between your legs where you sat on the edge of the bed. She cupped your cheeks in her palms and lifted your face for a long, slow kiss.

“I do love you,” she murmured. She pressed another kiss to the tip of your nose. “I. Love. You. To. The. Moon. And. Back.” She punctuated every word with soft kisses that left you heady and dizzy. “La yamken kilmat an tasf habby lek.” You melted whenever she spoke her native Arabic to you. Even if you didn’t understand all of it yet. She brushed her lips against yours softly. “But I’m still not eating your cookies, hayati.”

“But you love me enough to stay, right?” You wound your arms around her waist, pulling her closer still. She melted when you pressed your lips to the underside of her jaw, and you smiled. She tipped her head back for more. “Tell me you’ll stay,” you whispered into her skin.

You knew you already had her—you’d known the moment she kissed you, just like she always did every morning you begged—but you didn’t want to stop. You couldn’t keep from pressing kisses along the length of her jaw, finally stopping at her pulse.

“Steven will be disappointed,” she argued half-heartedly, tipping her head to the side so you had more access. “We were going after the stolen statues of Sekhmet today.”

“But you’ve just come down with a serious case of stayinbed-itis,” you reasoned, tracing the column of her throat with soft kisses. “You might even have to take the whole week off!” You pulled back a little to grin at her, brushing your nose against hers. “He’d want you to stay home and get better. Steven would understand.”

She narrowed her eyes at you and your grin only widened. “How many times has Steven stayed at home for quality Marc and Jake time, hmm?” you added as your winning argument.

“Fine,” she muttered finally, hands twining through your hair. “But I’m still not eating your cookies,” she murmured against your lips as you crashed back into bed.

“I’m sure there’s something I can convince you to eat,” you smirked as she grinned wickedly, hovering over you.

“Nathel.”

Creativity - April

One of the most important mods to improve its sound was to replace the foam inside the keyboard to reduce the pinging sound, about which the Keychron Q1 is infamous, and to make the sound of the keyboard damper. Unfortunately at the moment, I didn't have a good noise dampening mat. One of the best ones I saw was the Kilmat 50 mil but it was really expensive.

The other mod I could implement was the tape mod, which was popularised by Keybored on YouTube, and what it does is make the sound of the switches more clicky and reduces the echo that the switches make.
