Not enough people appreciate the dynamic that could be maya and apollo. Like come on!! They're both living in khura'in post SOJ (i believe, correct me if im wrong), they have to have met at least once!
I think they'd have a really weird aunt/nephew sort of dynamic, but it'd also just be maya taking him on joyrides and forcing him to enjoy himself because apollo doesn't know how to have fun to save his life

Ace Attorney's Gaping Plot-Hole that Flew Right Over my Head
I'm not one to nitpick every microscopic aspect of a piece of media, scrutinizing every plot convenience or plot hole but this is something I realized recently and it's so ridiculous that I had to talk about it.
SPOILERS FOR ACE ATTORNEY: SPIRIT OF JUSTICE AHEAD
(Also, this post is pretty long)
Spirit of Justice has a solid set of cases and an interesting gimmick with the Divination Séances. While during the few times it's used in-game the seances are a fun twist on the Cross-Examinations by viewing the last moments of the victim and cross-referencing them with the court's interpretation of the events. Spirit Channeling has been part of the series' mythos since game one and after being looked over in the previous two installments, Apollo Justice and Dual Destinies, Spirit of Justice not only makes it relevant again but implements an entire mechanic based around it.
The problems start when combined with another major aspect of Spirit of Justice's story. Divination Séances are a major aspect of the country of Khura'in's justice system. The final moments of the victim are used as key evidence against the accused. However, this isn't the only thing that makes Khura'in unique. In Khura'in, lawyers who represent clients are found guilty receive the same punishment at the defendant. Meaning, if someone is found guilty of murder that means their lawyer would be executed alongside their client. This risk has led to there being no lawyers to defend potential clients. This also means the stakes are at the highest they've been. Considering Ace Attorney is based around murder cases, it all checks out so far.
Problem is: There are more crimes than just murder. Nothing is established saying that the punishment for every crime in Khura'in is death, at least to my memory. Even then, if nobody is dead then the Divination Séances in which the country's legal system relies on so heavily are useless. Not to mention misdemeanor offenses where the punishment is not very severe. Surely there would be lawyers willing to defend clients for crimes not punishable by death, right? They would be fewer in number but they'd still exist. Especially in the Ace Attorney universe which presents a very idealized version of defense lawyers. This isn't even considering civil cases where nobody is being prosecuted. Does the defendant and plaintiff represent themselves? It's easy to look over this while playing the game because you're focused on the story and trying to progress. However, once the entire legal system, not just murder trials, are considered it all falls apart. Don't get me wrong, the conflict these plot points set up is really interesting the problem is how flimsy everything is.
Another thing: How high is the murder rate in Khura'in? We see the justice minister, Inga, approve tons of death warrants during conversations with him. Plus, it is shown that after setting up shop Apollo Justice is flooded with work and the wording during this scene implies that all of them are murders. Why are there so many murders in such a small country?
I'm gonna leave it off here.

Drawing Ace Attorney Prosecutors: Ga’ran Sigatar Khura’in [2/14]
! Minor Spirit of Justice spoilers ahead? !
Here comes the second character which my generator chose! I decided to draw Ga’ran in her queen garb, as I find her really pretty, regal and beautiful in that outfit ^_^
Honestly, she was rather fun. I just wish she stayed in this design throughout that one chapter.

Khura’in Appreciation Post
One thing I realized what I like about Khura'in so much (enough that my name on the main server is Khura'inoboo Jute) is that it's kind of like Shangri-La, except with a realistic amount of political trouble that gives it depth and gets me invested
If you don't know about Shangri-La it's kinda like a legendary Himalayan Utopia, even said to be in a roughly similar location, in the western Himalayas.
This makes Khura’in a “troubled utopia” which in my opinion is a very interesting concept to explore and makes for a fantastic setting.
But Khura'in has many other such dichotomies that let it break free from stereotypes and cliches!
it's very traditional, but that doesn't mean it has no modern technology – TVs are widely known, sound systems, phones, cameras, modern rifles all exist
it's deeply religious – yet science and modern scientific methods are also accepted. While Rayfa is skeptical, Nahyuta employs them and the country has an amazing forensics department (think of how fast they get autopsy reports there!)
it keeps to itself and is secluded – but is also very worldly. It has a history of spirit channeling diplomacy with the surrounding countries, and in modern times its strong legal culture has led to its prosecutors traveling around the world who immerse themselves in local custom
it values its own customs deeply, but doesn't let itself be bound by them when it is unreasonable or becomes unsustainable. This isn't just evidenced by the whole revolution thing, it also shows up much earlier when the Khura’inese judge overrules the royal princess and the much-revered Dance of Devotion, demanding facts.

Hello Prosecutor Simon Blackquill, otherwise known as Prosecutor 'Panda.'
We have heard from reliable sources that you are obsessed with Japanese Culture.
Why is this?
What is so great about Japan?
It is a tiny island with only one mountain of note. Surely there are better countries with many truly breathtaking summits and rich cultural and spiritual practices unlike any on earth!
We understand Japan is highly valued for it: "Anime" but there are other countries who also produce highly acclaimed shows well worth your while.
We firstly demand and explanation dor your strange taste.
Secondly we highly recommend you broaden your horizons. Look further inland, to higher ground!
Perhaps asks your fellow Prosecutors about other cultures of note. Enlightened individuals to help guild you to a 'higher' existance.
-Your Benevolent Reader
Misinformed Reader,
Firstly, I am not 'obsessed', I am appreciative of my own culture. In this busy world it is easy to lose ones identity if you do not give it heed.
Secondly, you will refrain from referring to me in that phrasing. I know where you picked it up, and I sincerely hope he swallows a butterfly and chokes.
Thirdly, the "only one mountain" is an active volcano of great beauty. Besides that, there are 12955 named mountains in the country, to speak nothing of the unnamed. So if your largest complaint is that it is too flat, then do not blame me for being misinformed, a Google search would have corrected you. The summits are gorgeous, and the cherry blossoms are unparalleled. If you can not appreciate it's natural beauty, then you are, indeed, uncultured. I recommend visiting, provided you are capable of respecting those you interact with who do not share your views.
Fourth, the history of Japan is long and rich, and while it would be untrue to claim it blameless, no nation has a clean history. That is the nature of man. A study of history would indeed do you good, especially on disillusioning you on what impact a small island nation can have on world history, not to mention the future, as it is the most advanced nation from a technological standpoint. And, it has done so without forgetting its culture, or its many shrines.
Fifth, I am well aware of other shows, produced outside of Japan. Steel Samurai was a personal favorite of mine during it's run, and it was made in LA. Besides that, I am partial to westerns. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is quite good, if you must know.
Lastly, I suppose learning about my coworkers cultures would not harm me. Germany has had a large impact on the world stage, it would do me good to learn about it. I commend the suggestion, and will speak to Von Karma-dono about it. Thank you.
-Simon Blackquill
