Your knowledge leaves your side when you need it most. . . BOOK:- Ahalya's Awakening AUTHOR:- @kavitakane GENRE:- Mythological PAGES:- 349 FORMAT:- Paperback PUBLISHER:- @westland_books RATING:- 5 STARS . . Threat to the patriarchal double standards where the co-offender male gets away with minor punishment and the woman is punished for eons. I feel this line very much which I saw online and because of clearing this thought I wanted to read this book the author has done a good work giving voice to the character Ahalya and also has justified every story very well, I always believed that Ahalya didn't get justice and got punished to be stone whereas Indra got a second chance but no one look towards Ahalya. As I finished reading this story, the book has offered, I feel that the author has written a story of all the women's with this masterpiece this she had tried to show how women were used to oppressed, there thinking was that women are only for giving birth not allowed and also showed that if there is hope there can be a morning which can show you a better tomorrow. In this book, I came across knowing more about Ahalya and some stories I knew, refreshed in mind. I loved and adored the story author has created with the mixture of all the stories of Ahalya from different scripture and created a story that also tells the story of today women's. I had a charismatic experience reading this story of Ahalya who is elegant from nature and beautiful women whom not just apsaras but even the goddess are so jealous of. See what Ahalya says on beauty " Every woman is beautiful it is up to the woman to seek and find her own beauty." I really admired this line and it's very true because sometimes women feel that they need someone to validate their beauty but they don't need that. Highlighted lines from my Read In the name of protecting the chastity of women, men have stamped their proprietorial rights over them, and there is no end to the violence perpetrated by them. Trust comes above love; once broken it shatters into a thousand pieces of doubts, guilt and suspicion. Distrust is more fatal than being condemned as guilty or cleared as innocent. .... #kavitakane (at Samastipur Town) https://www.instagram.com/p/CaQ-v3krZB4/?utm_medium=tumblr

Ahalya’s Awakening✨ @kavitakane . Ahalya was no ordinary woman. While she left the world, including the powerful Indra, awestruck with her surreal beauty, it was knowledge she truly sought. Married to one of the eminent rishis of all time, basking in the light of knowledge and love, an unprecedented event turns her world upside down. After being cursed by her husband, turning into an immobile stone while the world questions her fidelity, before being brought back to life by Lord Ram, she goes through a bitter-sweet process of healing and rediscovering herself. Does she emerge victorious? Or does she surrender to the laws of society and its reprimands? Delve into the life of Ahalya and every woman going through conflicting emotions and swerving twitches of gate. ‘Kavita Kane was the author that I discovered in 2022 through Ahalya's Awakening, and it was one of my favourite reads of that year. And after I wanted to read more of her work, so comes The Fisher Queen’s Dynasty. The Fisher Queen’s Dynasty is the story of Satyavati, a fisher girl recognized by many names – Kali, Matsyagandha, Yojnagandha, and Queen Dayesi. The woman who married King Shantanu of Hastinapur and won the throne for herself and her sons, the woman who is behind the terrible oath taken by Gangaputra which turned him into Bhishm. The woman who changed the lineage of the Kuru dynasty, the dynasty that ended in the bloody battle of Kurukshetra. But why? And how? What's her story? And this book explores these questions throughout its journey. In Mahabharata, we got to know very little about her, but this story will revamp your understanding of Mahabharata and the causes behind the same. The sequence of events from the very birth of Satyavati to her end is well portrayed and equated. The character development of Satyavati and Bhishm, the growth in their relationship, and their emotions throughout the story are deftly balanced. Besides that, the character of Kripi also captivated me. The writing style of the author is very appealing from the very start and she gracefully maintained it till the very end. Throughout this fictional tale, the author kept the reader engaged in the story and the characters. If you are in mythological fiction, go for it without any second thought! Share this post with your friends who enjoy mythological stories and save it for future references. #BookReview Book: The Fisher's Queen Dynasty Author: Kavita Kane Genre: Mythological Fiction Publication: Rupa Publication Pages: 336 @kavitakane @rupa_publications Posted @withregram • @jainands_diary #thefisherqueensdynasty #kavitakane #ahalyasawakening #kavitakanebooks #amreading #indianmythology #satyavati #mahabharata https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp1h9pQo4Ki/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

"𝙄 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙣 - 𝙏𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙣" 🌊 It's my first read of Kavita Kane, and I am so impressed by her work. The way she expresses the feelings of characters and their personality is commendable. When I started reading the book, I didn't imagine the things this book has to offer me. This book amazed me and I am glad that i read this book. 🌊 This book has the story of a fisher girl, who was none other than The Queen of Great kingdom Hastinapur, Queen Satyavati(also known as Matsyagandha). It's her story of intelligence, politics, braveness and her deceitfulness. In her story, there is another story of a man, who was always remembered for his principles, for the oath he has taken for his father, who served his own kingdom as a servant without any greed. He was none other than the Great warrior of Aryavrat, Pitamaha Bhishma(also known as Devavrata, Gangaputra). 🌊I loved this book and I must say the character of Satyavati impressed me. I admire how she stood for herself, after all the humiliation and dishonour she faced in her lifetime. She stood firm, for herself and her kingdom. Respect for Devavrata grew more after reading this book, the way he stood with her in every situation, after all the things he had suffered because of her, he remained calm and always supported her in her every decision. 🌊I would highly recommend this book to all mythology lovers. You will have another point of view about the things that happened in initial period of the Mahabharat. I can say that this book won't disappoint you, you will enjoy the book as much i enjoyed it while reading. ❓Have you read any of Kavita Kane books? ❓Which book of her you will suggest me to read next? "To be or not to be born as a woman - Awakening of every woman~ Ahalya's Awakening by @kavitakane . This story is about Ahalya, created by lord Brahma was born a princess and married to maharishi Gautam. This story unwraps numerous realities of the Rishi world. Her early years were dedicated to education, politics, law and art. She dedicatedly made exceptions to stand out irrespective of gender based differences. Indra fell in love with Ahalya but she was not attracted the same way as he was. However, her circumstances lead princess to enter Rishi Gautam's ashram and that changed her life. What made her a spotlight of guilt, untruthfulness and disloyal towards her husband? Why she was quiet when she recognised Indra? When Sita met Ahalya, there were questions and answers they did not get. there was spritual awakening but how? . This book offers some surprising elements with the reality of that pious world. This book is definitely a must read as author keeps the reader on a mythology journey and state facts straight way.’- Posted @withregram • @bookoutes_ . 4.5/5 Recommended read💫 ~🌻 #ahalya #ahalyasawakening #kavitakane #bookrecommendations #bookstagrammer #wordpress #trending #bookstagram #mythology #india #rishi #gautam #recommended #journey #bookcommunity #flipkart #haul #read https://www.instagram.com/p/CpMV6Xnrvkw/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

'The Ramayana' is one of the two most important epics of India. Kavita Kane's 'Sita's Sister' talks about a much ignored character from the story... Sita's younger sister Urmila, who was married to the younger brother of Rama, Lakshmana. She was the one who stayed back as her husband dutifully followed his brother and wife into the forest for their 14 year exile. The old narrative talks about how she asked a boon to sleep on her husband's behalf so that he may serve his brother and wife tirelessly. This book takes another route... a more realistic one, to be honest. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and for the first time, I viewed The Ramayana in a different light than the purist version I am used to. By far one of Kane's best works! 👌🏼 Posted @withregram • @thecatandthecushion ✍️🏻: #kavitakane #books #sitassister bookrecommendations #bookstagram #reading #kavitakane #sitassister #Ramayana https://www.instagram.com/p/CoqtfWdoBZV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🌺Book Review🌺 The epic story of #Ram, #Sita and #Lakshman is narrated from ages. But the day I read about Sita's sisters who were married to the brothers of Ram, I've been curious about the lives of the other girls. I've always wondered why the wife of Lakshman did not go with him. Other books I've read narrate how Urmila was in a deep slumber during the years Lakshman was away. But is that possible? Was it the whole truth? Kavita Kane answers all of these questions and more in Sita's Sister, with Lakshman's wife, Urmila, as the protagonist. I was inspired by Urmila right from the start. She's a learned, wise, brave young girl who is always caring for the meek Sita. She's confronts Lakshman when he refuses to marry her, expresses her opinions before elders of the family and even takes control of the entire family in Kosala during the exile. I loved how independent and brave Urmila is portrayed to be in this narrative. We witness her love for Lakshman which is made stronger only by her sacrifices. The story delves into the lives of other women - Mandvi, Kirti, Kausalya, Kaikeyi, Sumitra. We see all these women come together during adversities, inspite of the hostility between them, showcasing how uplifting sisterhood can be. A major change in the plot is when the author throws light on the real reason behind Kaikeyi's actions, which leaves you sympathetic towards her actions. On the whole this novel is very unique, and an impressive and notable #Feminist retelling of the #Ramayana.’- Posted @withregram • @the_book_station #sitassister #kavitakane #kavitakanebooks #bookstagramindia #booklover #readinggoals2022 #bookstacks #tbr #indianliterature #bookworm #bookhaul #booksontheroad #bookreview #bookcommunity #currentlyreading #booksaesthetic #booksandtea #bookreviewer #booktok #indianreaders #bookstagrammer #booklover #booksbooksbooks #bookshelf #booknerd #bookaddict https://www.instagram.com/p/Cobg1KkoGYy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
