do you use sarcasm? not much
what is the first thing you notice about people? the general vibe really, and if they smile or not.
what is your eye color? brown
scary movies or happy endings? i don't watch scary movies!! definitely happy endings :)
any talents? mhh... writing? taking nice pictures? but those don't really feels like talents...
where were you born? north of italy!!
do you have any pets? i have two babies (my cats)

🏵️ 20 questions for fic writers - tagged by @beckstraordinary
How many works do you have on AO3? 20, a very nice round number!!
What's your total AO3 word count? apparently around 198,713
What fandoms do you write for? i currently write for the ted lasso fandom only
What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Breaking down (the walls) - hope you'll be safe (in the arms of another) - Touch me (like you do) - we should just kiss (like real people do) - no one's keeping score
Do you respond to comments? yes i do!!
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? i think i only wrote one and it was a ff about maura isles
What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? it's rather hard to compare happy endings, so i can't choose
Do you get hate on fics? it hasn't happened yet
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes i do, that's how i started basically (i miss it a bit, recently i've not been in the mood much). i'd say that my smut is... unnecessarily long and emotional. i fully believe it's a great way to understand who a character is.
Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? i wrote two - one was a castle x rizzoli and isles crossover about kate and maura together in college that i dnf-ed at a certain point. the second was this supergirl x rizzoli and isles crossover i'm still very fond of. i had so much fun writing that, and i still think it makes perfect sense :)
Have you ever had a fic stolen? not that i know of
Have you ever had a fic translated? yes, very recently!!
Have you ever co-written a fic before? no, i don't think i could
What’s your all time favorite ship? i don't think i have one above all. i was really into caskett (castle) and supercorp (supergirl), but now i've grown past both, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? i have a supercorp wip that i thought was very cute
What are your writing strengths? i think... construction of the line as a whole, if that makes sense. i try to make the words flow well and sound nice together. also dialogue, showing emotions through little gestures, intimacy, and lately introspection.
What are your writing weaknesses? i can't for the life of me write descriptions. of anything. i hate adjectives. i also get hyperfocused on the dynamic between two characters and refrain from including anyone else. oh also worldbuilding/background stuff... i just don't care.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? i don't think i've ever included it. but if i had to, i would do it with my own language.
First fandom you wrote for? only italians will get this one... un medico in famiglia. i still remember the first time inspiration hit.
Favourite fic you’ve written? definitely you said yes as I said please. i'm so proud of it and i was really inspired!!
no pressure tags, for whichever game you want to participate in!! @occhi-verdi-come-il-mare @rancoreedisprezzo @julesnichols @calicomarie11 @fuddlewuddle

Note
I started rewatching NCIS Hawaii with my parents, since they also love crime shows. When Kate & Lucy kissed in 1x01 my dad said ”I knew it, I knew they already knew each other” 😂 their chemistry is so visible since their first scene. Anyways, I’ll try not to get too excited infront of my parents when kacy appears on screen.
Your dad’s gaydar!!! I feel like this is definite confirmation of kacy’s chemistry. I mean, I already knew it but if a (I’m assuming) straight man can see it 💁🏻‍♀️

Fanfiction Questions numbers 3, 6, 17 & 23, please
Hi! Thank you for sending these!
3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in? Even if I’m not actively part of the fandom anymore (although I still follow many people and read fics sometimes) I’d have to say the 10/Donna fandom. Everyone I’ve ever interacted with has been super nice and lovely since day 1. It was also one of the first fandoms I discovered on Tumblr. The Mary girls are a close second
6. List your OTP from each fandom you’ve been involved in. Let’s see if I can remember them all.... The past ones are:
Castle/Beckett - Castle
Tony/Kate and Gibbs/Jenny - NCIS
Bensler, Cabenson and Barson - SVU
Maura/Frankie - Rizzoli & Isles
Mulder/Scully - X Files
10/Donna and 4/Sarah Jane - Doctor Who
Present ones:
Shandy - The Closer and Major Crimes
Bill/Laura - Battlestar Galactica
Mac/Jo - CSI:NY
I know I’m missing some but I can’t remember who at the moment.
17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favourite? I have vague memories of dumb mini me, at around 8, who was making up scenarios in her head for Maria and the Captain from The Sound of Music (one of my favourite movies of all time) and in my teens I read a lot of fics about them. They are still one of my favourite couples to this day.
23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it.
There’s this fic I wrote a few months ago called One Last Time. Angst isn’t really my thing, I’m more comfortable with fluff, and the fic isn’t that great, but I think it was one of the first sort of decent fics I’ve ever written. I don’t recall exactly how I got the idea, but I enjoyed writing it. I’m not super happy about how I wrote it, and there’s definitely room for improvement, but I think it’s one of my best

The Bryan Awards - The Best of the Last Decade (The 2010s)
With only two weeks left in the decade, I took a thorough look back at the last ten Bryan Awards (with the last nine of them being recorded as annual podcasts for WCRS FM), and picked the Best of the Best since the 2010 Bryan Awards (or programs that aired since January 1, 2010, and airing up until the cut-off for this September’s Bryan Awards, which was May 31, which would eliminate the likes of Mrs. Fletcher, Season 2 of Big Little Lies, plus newbies like On Becoming A God in Central Florida, Perfect Harmony, the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and this week’s A Christmas Carol).
Here are the Guidelines Chosen for both this and the Silver Garbage Awards Worst of the Decade: - Eligibility Period is January 1, 2010 to May 31, 2019. - Glee is being entered for New Series of the Decade, because it won the 2010 Bryan Award in that race, despite it debuted in 2009. - Younger Acting will be merged through the genres: Daytime, Comedy, Drama, and Limited Series.  And if an actor turned 26 doesn't really matter, as long as 50% of their nominations were before they were 26. - Big Little Lies (Season 1), Orange Is the New Black, and Downton Abbey are Dramas.  Shameless is a Comedy.  True Detective is a Longform, as is American Horror Story, and ALL seasons will be lumped into one for Anthology Stories. - Sherlock and Sharknado are being entered for ALL of their movies, ditto for Black Mirror episodes, in the Longform races. - There will be separate Lead and Supporting Acting races for Comedy and Drama Bryan Awards, but NOT for Silver Garbage. Apologies for the Length of this Post, but without further ado...

Datura stramonium
Summary: Penny and Tonks go to Romania to visit Charlie and Kate, who explains a weird story about three...witches?
Mainly a friendship fic slight Charlie Weasley x ofc
Tumblr media
It was a quiet afternoon in the forests of Transylvania. Rays of sunshine lit the kitchen where Kate was. Two of her best friends were coming to visit her for the first time and she decided it was the perfect occasion to dig up her grandmother’s apple pie recipe. She was pulling it out of the oven when she heard crackling flames in the living room.
Excited, she quickly left the tray and glove and ran to meet Penny and Tonks, who had come out of their chimney. With radiant smiles, they shouted with excitement and gave each other a group hug. “Merlin, Tonks, your hair! I love it!” he exclaimed by touching a purple streak.” Penny squealed and hugged her friend again. “Katie, your house is beautiful,” Penny said looking at the little cabin. “Very Charlie”
“Yes, too bad your chimney is so dirty…” Tonks said wiping her pants. Kate laughed and returned to the kitchen. “I’ll give you the tour.” She said with a smile. “Charlie will come later… our room…”Tonks gave her a sultry look “That’s where the magic happens” She said before tripping over a pile of books on the floor. Tonks grunted at her friends’ laughter. Penny watched as Kate shook her hand and the books returned to their place. She raised her eyebrows in surprise but said nothing. “Another room, in case any Weasley wants to come, or you of course, by the way are you going to stay over?”
“Oh, no, I have work tomorrow.” Penny said. “It’s true! How you’re doing?” “Great. Georgina Lane, my mentor, is teaching me great things.”
“And you Tonks? In your letter you didn’t seem convinced…”
“I didn’t have a good start, but Moody has promised to train me. Rowan had already told me it would be hard.”
“How’s Rowan, Kate?
The three of them showed up in the kitchen again, as they finished touring the house. “She’s studying hard, now she wants to be a teacher at Beauxbatons. I think Flitwick wrote her a letter of recommendation.” Suddenly, Penny freaked out scaring the two girls. “I almost forgot!” Penny looked up at the ceiling and counted on her fingers as she said names, “Julien told me that Cassy told him that Marcus heard Bill tell Andre that Ben is no longer afraid of mandrakes.” Kate nodded in agreement and pride “Good for him”
“Who are all those people?” said Tonks confused. Penny shrugged “I don’t know… Ben says he’s got a new little cousin and it’s the closest thing to a mandrake he’s ever seen.”
“Girls, girls, there’s one thing left to show you. My secret lair.” All three went out onto the porch to cross a part of the forest to a clearing. A stone tower stood before them. “It’s not so secret if it’s in the middle of the road.” Tonks commented. Kate just rolled her eyes “It was a way of speaking.” From her belt she drew a thick key and inserted it into the lock of the wooden door. “Charlie found it in ruins, fixed it up and turned it into a working space. He says if I blow something up with any of my experiments, at least it’s far from home.” The three laughed and began to climb a spiral staircase leading to a circular room filled with bookshelves, potions, and plants of every kind scattered everywhere. A short stair lead to a small place with a couch and two more seats and a table. “This place is incredible! What you are working on?”
“Let me explain it over a cup of tea” Kate said with a smile. Tonks approached what seemed a giant sunflower, and when she went to touch it with a finger, the plant opened its mouth and tried to bite her, making her eyes widen in surprise. Upstairs, Kate moved the thick curtains covering two large windows that allowed them to see the forest and part of the mountains. Penny admired the place. “As a city girl, I never imagined myself living in the forest…” commented Kate. “And then Charlie happened…” Penny finished smiling at her. Kate just shrugged. Behind them a flying pot was pouring tea in three cups. Tonks threw herself on the couch putting her legs on the arm rest. “So… what’s all this mess about?” she asked grabbing a leather journal that was on the floor.
She arrived at the centre of the town, where apparently it was where the inhabitants gathered to make commercial exchanges. Before she started looking for what she needed to buy, she devoted herself to admiring the beauty of the place; the small shops and stalls, its narrow streets and the picturesque stone facades, some with colourful windows. Arriving to a small square, she headed to the nearest food stand, filled with fruits and vegetables. Some screams caught her attention and she turned to see some children running around the fountain.
From where she stood she could see a small bell tower, the clock of which marked five minutes to ten in the morning. Beyond the fountain she read a sign in Romanian that said: Herbs and plants of all kinds. With a smile, she dodged the children playing on the floor and walked across the square. When she touched the doorknob to open the door, it did not yield. Disappointed, she glued her face to the glass of the door, but the turned off light did not allow her to see anything.
“Today they won’t come.” Said a voice to her right. A woman sewing looked at her with distrust.
“You know when it will open? I don’t know the schedules.”
“We all know you’re not from here,” confused, turned around and for the first time noticed the looks of some people who tried to veer their eyes off. “Why are you looking for the sisters?” she asked as she continued to sew.
“I’m not looking for anyone, I just wanted to buy some herbs.” The woman looked at her encouraging Kate to continue. “Medicinal purposes.”
“That’s what they say too, but they’re crazy,” lowered the tone of voice forcing Kate to come closer. “I don’t like to gossip, but I’ll tell you, they’re always doing weird things. They didn’t open the store today because they said they were expecting someone…” A man came out of a door screaming. Kate could understand something like “talking to strangers” and “gossiping.” The woman responded in the same angry manner by gesticulating with her hand. The man buffeted and returned to the house, speaking to himself. The woman resumed her work and turned to Kate.
“I warn you, child, if you don’t want trouble, don’t hang out with those… some people around here think they’re witches,” she said mysteriously. With her eyes on the cloth in her hands, she couldn’t see Kate’s slight frown and rapid blinking.
“And are they?” The woman raised her head for the umpteenth time. “Witches, I mean.” The laughter that followed was covered by the sound of the bells. “The only thing these three are old plant freaks. Though I must say, their pustule soap works wonders…”
Sensing that the conversation was over, Kate said goodbye and went on her way across the square. After buying food for his picnic with Charlie later, she wandered around the town for an hour. Shoemakers, chair makers, ornaments or pots competed for a small hole in the streets where to sell their makings. A book stand caught her eye. She dusted a beautiful volume of children’s stories. It’s time for me to practice my Romanian reading. She was waiting for the owner to give her the change when she saw a hooded figure at the end of the street. The first time she had seen her was when the ten o'clock bells rang. And then near the potter. She took a deep breath trying not to be alarmed. After all, it was a small town.
She pressed her lips trying to smile at the bookseller and made her way among the people, trying to remember the way to the square. The figure also advanced. Kate groped the inside of her jacket to check that her wand was still there and went into the maze of alleys.
She turned left and right, turning her head and always seeing part of his stalker’s black robe. She could not find the centre of the town and the streets had fewer and fewer people. Suddenly, she turned right again and felt helpless. she had come out of the village and was looking at the valley. She could see the mountains where Charlie was working, and a lake that separated them. She turned around abruptly to meet the person who had followed her, looking at her a few meters away. She found a little bit of courage and started the conversation. “What do you want?” The figure raised a hand and removed the hood, revealing the face of a woman much older than her but with a smooth, pink skin. His hands didn’t seem to match her age either. The woman gave him a kind smile. “My name is Eleonor, and I’ve been waiting for you”
“You’re kidding?” exclaimed Tonks, “really, the weirdest things happen to you”
“Wait, wait, you’re telling me you went with her? To a cabin? In the middle of the forest?” Penny exclaimed. Kate rolled her eyes giving her a cup. “Charlie already gave me the talk, you don’t have to do it. Besides, it was not in the middle of the forest, it was a meadow and the hut was seen from the village. “And what happened?” Tonks insisted. “Well, we went to her house together. There were three of them: Maura, Eleonor and Rin.” Kate sipped her tea, regretting it immediately, with a grimace she left it on the table. “Wicked.” Tonks said animated. “It must be fun to find witches and wizards by chance in a muggle…village,” Penny said. Kate put her hands under her legs and held them up on the couch. “Well, the truth is, I never knew if… they were witches or not…”
Tonks and Penny exchanged looks.
Kate followed the woman inside a small hut. The place was dark and cold, she could feel the moist of the air on her skin. She had to avoid several plants that were hanging from the ceiling. Katie notice an elder woman seated on the floor with a divination ball in front of her. Suddenly, the woman’s head started to shake, followed by her shoulders and hands. She opened her eyes, but they went blank, and she started convulsing harder.
Katherine activated her healer mode and started walking to her rescue, but a third person grabbed her arm. Another woman with a look of fascination on her face, pointed at the shaking body. “She’s having another vision.”
One of the sisters helped the woman lay down on the carpet while the other one poured some dark liquid inside a goblet. “She needs rest now.” Said Eleonor to a perplexed Kate. “I bet you have a lot of questions.” She asked seating on a wooden chair. The third sister, apparently the youngest, made Kate jump when she appeared beside her, barely two centimetres away from her face. “We can answer them.” Eleonor closed her eyes and touched her brow. “Maura…” she warned. Maura mouthed her sister’s words contorting her face and disappeared behind a green curtain. “My apologies. That’s Maura my little sister and that’s Rin, the oldest.” She pointed to the woman laying on the floor. “She has a gift. A traveling gift. She can fly through time and see the past, present and future. Twenty-two years ago, she saw a stranger. A stranger of great power would come to our home from a further land. She would learn about us and it would be our duty to give her our knowledge.” Kate gulped and looked around, getting uneasy. “Don’t worry. We mean no harm.” Two loud thuds we heard, and Kate saw the oldest sister seated on the floor with a cane on her hand. Maura reappeared and gave her the goblet she’d prepared for her. Kate stared at Rin, who gave her a warm smile. “So it’s true then. You are a witch.” Rin closed her eyes and smiled again. She brought her hand to her chest and then pointed at Kate with the palm facing up. “You are like us.” Commented Maura before giggling, making Kate frown slightly. She looked around and noticed labelled vials resting on different shelves, she recognized aconite and rosemary hanging from the ceiling among other herbs. Once her eyes finished scanning the space, Katie looked at Rin again. “You are healers then. I’ve heard your soap is very popular.” She added carefully. The three sisters looked at each other and smiled. “Come on,” started Eleonor “we have a lot to talk about.”
Penny and Tonks didn’t notice her bodies had inclined towards Kate as she spoke, until Penny’s cup spilled its contents on the floor. “Oops” she took out her wand and cleaned her mess. Kate stood up and walked to a cupboard behind her. She opened a drawer and grabbed a flask. She returned to her seat and handed it to Tonks. “Datura stramonium. That’s what she used for the visions. It’s a plant that apparently grows in that region. I’m studying its properties. It is said that in Bucovina, women use Ciumăfaie, or Datura, for love spells, bindings and curses also, is the primary ingredient in the traditional witch's flying ointment. Medicinal doses would all have been minimal to avoid side effects and danger. I’m most curious about its healing powers and, why not, the curse breaking part.”
“Old habits die hard, huh?” Teased Tonks.
“Would you show me your investigation, Kate? This is really interesting.”
“Of course, you can help me with it anytime”
“What did you do after that?” Tonks asked.
“We exchanged healing tricks, well, with two of them because the other one couldn’t talk.” At her friends’ questioning looks she added “For some reason they didn’t share with me, her tongue was cut out.” Penny shivered, and Tonks lifted a nostril in disgust.
“Katie?” The three of them turned to the sound of a male voice and Kate’s face lit up. Tonks and Penny ran downstairs and threw themselves on Charlie, who lost balance and almost dropped them both. Kate laughed at the sight of her friends reunited and leaned on the wooden railing with a hand on her chin. Tonks had enough and playfully pushed Charlie’s shoulder. “Let me go, Weasley.” Charlie chuckled and squeezed Penny one more time before letting go. “I don’t want to ruin this tender moment, but an apple pie is waiting for us” Three heads turned to look up at Kate with excited faces.
Charlie threw an arm over Kate’s shoulder when she reached him, and she leaned in to kiss his cheek. “How was your day?”
“No burns” answered Charlie shrugging, making Kate giggle. “So, boring, then”
“What can I say?”
“Hey Charles, you better prepare us something tonight, we’re staying for dinner.” Threatened Tonks. He put his hand on his forehead saluting her. “Yes, Miss, at your service.” They chuckled and walked together to the house, laughing and chatting animatedly, it was a start of a beautiful evening full stories of adventures and memories.
The crystal ball showed grey fog swirling inside of it. The old woman opened her eyes and stared at it. Without taking her eyes off the ball, she grabbed a piece of carbon and paper and started drawing frantically. Her two sisters stood beside her looking at the figures she was making. “Another prediction. A crowd. Fire. Darkness.” Rin handed them the paper showing a face.
“Katherine Williams will visit us again.”

Please note that I will make reader the same age as the female character if female character is under 18 or close to age if the female character is over 18. For example, one of the Wednesday Addams requests I have up, the anon requested camp Wednesday age, so reader was 13-14. I will always make it so that both characters (female character and female reader) are of age.

Christy Whitman Shares Her Story of the Ups and Downs and How She Found Purpose and Joy in Navigating The Clickety Clack: How to Live a Peace-Filled Life in a Seemingly Toxic World
https://authoritypresswire.com/?p=33466 But ease and contentment weren’t always the case, and life did present its ups and downs. Having had a life sprinkled with turbulent experiences brought Whitman to many crossroads, forcing her to decide, if a life led by doubt would be the road she would take or would it be one that included risks, potential opportunities and challenges, but also allowing her to be the master of her own life? Whitman decided to make a major change, that ultimately brought her to the joyful state she is in today. And, it taught her that the key to finding direction and clarity in life is all about changing perspective during the times of clickety-clack.So, just what is the “clickety clack?” In 2005, Keith Leon S., owner of Beyond Belief Publishing and the man behind the concept for Navigating the Clickety Clack: How to Live a Peace-Filled Life in a Seemingly Toxic World, and wife Maura, befriended a man named Fletch Rainey, founder of a group called, “The Spiritual Posse.” Rainey soon became one of Keith and Maura’s spiritual mentors guiding them through troublesome times pertaining to finances, business challenges and constant changes in an oftentimes challenging world. Rainey’s term, the “clickety-clack” related to temporary periods of uncertainty that the couple would naturally experience. To illustrate the term, Rainey referred to riding a ten-speed bicycle, as a child, and needing to change gears. Adding to his explanation, he shared that the moment when the chain jumps from one gear to the next, and the sound it makes, is a clickety-clack. And, as a child, there are no worries that the gears won’t do their job and change from one to the next, but for that split second as they jump, the clickety-clack does require attention. But as Rainey always added to provide comfort, “If you have faith in the process, things will all work out just as they should.”With the fears and uncertainty that Covid-19 has brought with it, along with much more time in our homes, many have been compelled to look inward and reflect on, “What’s next?” This is exactly what sparked the idea for Leon’s latest book, Navigating the Clickety Clack: How to Live a Peace-Filled Life in a Seemingly Toxic World.Putting together the finest group of celebrated authors who are living this type of life, despite the challenges millions currently face, Leon invited Whitman to share her story of finding purpose during a time when she didn’t even understand what purpose looked or felt like in his latest book, Navigating the Clickety Clack: How to Live a Peace-Filled Life in a Seemingly Toxic World, alongside several other New York Times best-selling authors Bob Proctor and Jack Canfield. Contributing authors Liz Acar, Marcus Bird, Maria Bradfield, Natalie Cook, Jeffrey Gignac, Karen Kan, Kate Moriah, Kelly Moser, Kim O’Neill, Angi Ponder Reid, Donna Riley, Deborah Robbins, Jani Roberts, Trisha Schmalhofer, Venetta Demos Stathis, Lea Williamson, and Ariel Yarger are also featured and are real-life examples of individuals who are living a peace-filled life in a seemingly toxic world. All of these brilliant-minded authors will share their personal stories of how they choose their beliefs with intention, knowing that ultimately beliefs are what form the life one chooses to live.Readers who crave a better life, will find Whitman’s story real, relatable and empowering. Her beliefs of “perception is reality,” directing unlimited flow of energy wherever one would like and embodying energy healing that can improve one’s circumstances will guide individuals to a life of meaning and purpose! ###ABOUT THE AUTHORChristy Whitman is the channel for The Council, spiritual mentors here to spread the message of Quantum Energy Mastery. Christy, and The Council, teach classes and meditations and provide private sessions to help clients feel more aligned with their Divine Design of well-being, abundance, success, and loving and supportive relationships. For over fifteen years, and before channeling The Council, Christy was a Transformational Leader, Celebrity Coach, and Law of Attraction expert, as well as the two-time New York Times bestselling author of The Art of Having It All and Taming Your Alpha Bitch.Christy has appeared on the news, The Today Show, The Morning Show, Ted X, and The Hallmark Channel. Everything I Read in 2016
Tumblr media
For the third year in a row, I logged every novel, short story collection, poetry compilation, graphic novel, and collected edition of monthly comics I read, excluding individual monthly comics (on which I continued to fall catastrophically behind) and anything I read (and reread, and reread again) for my day job. My only big change? A lot of these books were read on my iPad Mini. And a good number were for my gay book club (you can guess which ones).
If you don’t yet keep track of your reading, you should start in 2017. It’s your best bet for hitting a reading goal, and for folks like me who read a ton, it’s a nice way to recall books that otherwise departed your memory.
For the tl;dr crowd, here are my Top 13 for the year, in the order in which I read them:
On Writing, Stephen King
Binti, Nnedi Okorafor
The Girls, Emma Cline
I Am a Hero Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, Kengo Hanazawa
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, Benjamin Alire Saenz
The Hero: Book Two, David Rubín
Night Sky With Exit Wounds, Ocean Vuong
Lincoln in the Bardo, George Saunders (I read an ARC)
A Choir of Ill Children, Tom Piccirilli
Habitat, Simon Roy
Prez Vol. 1, Mark Russell, Ben Caldwell, Domo Stanton
Bones of the Coast, edited by Shannon Campbell, Jeff Ellis, Kathleen Jacques
(New X-Men Omnibus was a re-read, or it would be up here.)
The rest is below the jump!
I don’t really feel like dumping on anything this year. I definitely got burnt out on comic anthologies, and I hated A Little Life, but the good outweighs the bad. Below is the full list, divided by month, followed by a few statistics and an evaluation of my 2016 reading goals as established last January.
[A note on comics: I feel guilty that I’ve left off colorists and inkers, as they contribute so much to a book, but I defaulted to cover credits while logging my reading and don’t have most of these books on-hand to fix it now.]

Total:
140 Books (up from 128 in 2015 and 87 in 2014)
Breakdown:
39 Novels or short story collections (down from 43 in 2015 and 44 in 2014)
98 Graphic novels/collected editions of comics (up from 84 in 2015 and a measly 42 in 2014)
3 Books of poetry (triple the 2015 and 2014 counts!)
About 35 Books written or edited by female authors (up from 20 in 2015 and 16 in 2014; note that I’m only counting writers and editors, not artists, and I’m counting books, not unique authors)
Roughly 19 books by (known-to-be) non-white authors (down from 30 last year but up from 9 in 2014...but both this year and last were inflated by multiple entries from manga creators)
...and at least 16 books written or edited by queer and trans authors.
So...any suggestions for 2017?
