The Wales Family in 2023 ♛
So, coronations are less fun than I thought they'd be. Despite that, the coronation gave me some incredibly fun moments, from the Wales family volunteering together to the walkabout on The Mall, from seeing various royal families interacting (including besties Kate and Felipe!) to seeing the Princess of Wales on coronation day itself! In fact, we saw a lot of royal family interaction this year - William and Catherine travelled to Jordan for the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein to Rajwa al Saif, they hosted both the Crown Princely couple of Norway and the Crown Princess couple of Sweden at Windsor Castle, and long-time best buds Catherine and Felipe reunited at the Wimbledon Gentleman's Finals. Sport was another highlight of the year, with the Wales family attending rugby matches (x, x, x), tennis tournaments (x, x, x) and even appearing on a sporting podcast! Both William and Catherine gained several military positions during the year (x, x, x) and have had a go at driving armoured tanks. As well as working with their patronages, William and Catherine have been able to support their own interests. William has continued to promote the Earthshot Prize, and also started Homewards, an anti-homelessness initiative. Catherine, meanwhile, launched the next phase of her early years work with Shaping Us. And in a twist expected by no one, the Princess of Wales finally debuted the Strathmore Rose Tiara. On a personal level, William and Catherine gained a new nephew - little Inigo Middleton - as James and Alizee Middleton welcomed their first child. Next year, I am asking anyone who is listening for a week-long tour (or two!) because they have been sorely lacking this year! If not, I'd love to see William and Catherine continue to flourish in their new roles as Prince and Princess of Wales.

BTS of #RWRBMovie: costuming for the Royal ladies
From Newsweek:
Another royal wedding nod is there in the movie with the choice of tiara the fictional Princess Martha wore for her nuptials. The diamond headdress, styled by costume designer Keith Madden, was a replica of the art-deco diamond tiara worn by Meghan Markle on her 2018 wedding day. Queen Mary's bandeau tiara (as it is officially known) was made for Queen Elizabeth II's grandmother in 1932 and was loaned by Elizabeth to Meghan for the duchess' walk down the aisle of St George's Chapel, Berkshire, England, on May 19, 2018.
A stylistic Easter egg hidden by Red, White & Royal Blue's creative team was an item of costume, which has taken on legendary status within the royal fashion sphere as the must-have "princess dress." Designed by British fashion brand, Beulah London, the "Ahana" mid-length dress with statement pleated details, covered buttons and a matching covered belt has been worn by a number of major world royals including Kate, the Princess of Wales. Kate first wore a pale pink version of the dress at the Wimbledon tennis championships in London in 2021, and she rewore it in July 2023 to attend the opening of a new museum. In the movie, the dress is worn by Prince Henry's sister, Princess Beatrice (Ellie Bamber).

Everyone giving Camilla a pass for bringing Laura with her to the garden show is just like everyone giving Meghan a pass for bringing Doria to her cookbook launch at KP.
But yet everyone lost their collective shits when:
Pippa attended Wimbledon with Kate and Meghan
Michael attended Wimbledon with Kate
the Middletons sit in the royal box at Wimbledon
the Middletons attended The Queen's funeral and Charles's coronation
Kate was in the fuzzy background of James Middleton's wedding pictures
Carole or Pippa wear something that looks similar to something Kate wore once.
Pick a fricking lane, people. If you don't like Kate's family being there, then you can't praise Meghan and Camilla for bringing their family.
(And really, though. They should've shut Meghan down on bringing Doria to the KP thing. That was when all hell broke loose, IMO, and Kate said "fudge it, I'm doing me now. Deal with it.")

Jonny attended today's Roland Garros final, looking sharp as always. 👌🏻 Naturally, made me think of your Wimbledon AU. Any stories with Kate and Anthony during the French Open?
It's fun to watch the clay season but I always have slight anxiety when they fall down to the ground when they win a match, and then proceed to handshake and hug their opponent. I'm like "please don't ruin the clothes!". 😫😂
However, I bet Kate and Anthony don't mind getting dirty (literally and metaphorically) when they practise together... right? 😏
It’s my personal headcanon that Kate hates playing on clay. She’s long been known as the queen of grass courts and Wimbledon is seen as pretty much a guarantee for for her every year. But she hates that the clay sticks to her shoes and her hands and if she has to dive for the ball or slide across the court it gets on her mouth as well. She hates it.
Anthony doesn’t mind any of that, when they arrive at the clay practice court and Kate looks down at her shoes in dismay and tuts,
“Why are you so chipper?”
Anthony shrugs, taking out his racquet to be her hitter, “I’m out here, playing tennis with my girl, we just moved in together, what’s not to love?”
Kate gestured at the ground, “Maybe the fact that we’re about to be covered head to toe in red dirt?”
He leaned over, brushing her lips against his, “Well, that’s why I brought my red shoes.”
“You’re annoying.” Kate rolled her eyes, nudging him backwards but he still only chuckled,
“I love you.” He tossed a ball over to her, “Your serve, Babe.”
And by the end when the clay clung to their legs and Mary finally waved them off, Anthony still didn’t care. He still didn’t care about the people who had gathered to watch and he didn’t care about the red that clung to them.
He squatted in front of her, “Hop on.”
And waited for her the climb on his back then walked off the court.

Also Carole and Michael attended a Royal Variety performance alongside William and Kate. They also took part in the Queen's carriage procession at Ascot. All the Middletons were on the Royal Barge during the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant and all of them have been the Queen's guests at Sandringham. They all also sit in the royal box at Wimbledon.
Remember how Doria got dragged bc she went on one engagment with Meghan.

“we don’t have the scrutiny that they do. Think of the level of scrutiny of pictures of her, as people pore over them," the insider continues. "You’re always on display and always got to be perfect."
If you didn’t know this was from KP’s press team, you’d think it was Harry and Meghan whining in their Netflix documentary. After a while, nobody wants to listen to priviledged people who barely do more work than The Duke of Gloucester, whine about how tough they have it.
Instead of finally shutting up, they. keep. making. it. worse.
Are we taking bets yet on whether Catherine attends the Easter service and starts doing engagements in 3 weeks? 😂
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are whining just like Harry & Meghan. Shouldn't be surprising as William is cut from the same cloth as Harry.
I think Kate will be at the Easter service.
As for doing engagements? For things like attending an Easter service, Trooping the Colour, Ascot, and Wimbledon, I suspect she'll attend those as she won't be required to interact much with the public.
But regular engagements interacting with other people with the press close by? I suspect she's not going to do those until the fall.
That nine-month recovery story from February and Tom Bower's statement that she has a long recovery period ahead seems to indicate that she won't be doing regular engagements any time in the near future, regardless of what they said in their initial statement.

Hello Plant. I noticed that James Middleton had bad depression and such. Do think Kate maybe tried to help Meghan since it hit close to home?
I doubt she tried to help with Meghan's depression because it sounds like Harry didn't tell anyone in the family about it. You can't help if you don't know.
But I do think she had sympathy for Meghan. She also suffered at the hands of the press and the tabloids came up with some very embarrassing reveals about her uncle right before her wedding. And she did try to help improve Meghan's image by inviting her to her sister's wedding and to Amner Hall and Wimbledon, doing the forum with her, and doing all the Christmas walks.
We forget how much the Royal Overton Window changed after Meghan. Before she came along, it would have been unthinkable to (i) issue a statement protecting a girlfriend of a few weeks, (ii) let a girlfriend of a few months move in to Nott Cott, (ii) let a girlfriend leak family stories to legitimize the relationship, (iii) let a girlfriend of a few months attend a family wedding, (iv) let a girlfriend do an interview with Vanity Fair, (iv) allow an engagement after a mere year of long-distance dating without the royals having met the family, (v) have a fiancée attend Sandringham, (vi) have a fiancee attend formal forums and Commonwealth events, (v) give a fiancee a royal baptism before the wedding with the POW present and a royal gift, or (v) have post-wedding events with the entire family to support the new member. This was unprecedented. Will and Kate got a reception with the Obamas (on their own!) and then were shipped to Wales for months. Kate's first event with the Queen was like a year later and she did a solo reception for Charles before that. Kate had to be confirmed before the wedding and Will was the one there.
The level of family and institutional support for Meghan was insane. They pulled out all the stops supporting her, which is why she was getting such good press at the beginning. They were literally having family events with her every two weeks or so, to keep the press sweet. That was unsustainable to begin with, then her dad drama (and Harry and Meghan complaining to IPSO about it) and the conflicts with the staff messed it all up.

I'm loving the idiots being pressed about the Middletons.. I love how butthurt they are that they are included soo much
Also for the dumbasses in the back, other family members are routinely invited to royal events.. Camilla's sister attends Wimbledon with her, Sophie's dad has ridden in Ascot carriages numerous times
And the one time there was an issue with the Midds was when Pippa rode with Kate to Wimbledon, ie taxpayer funded transportation.. which Kate accordingly got criticized for.. but sure babe
Which unless you saw her in the RAF plane with, mind your business 😚
Anyways keep staying mad cuz they will be around for many many years to come.. #familyofthefutureQC 😂😗

They would be their generation's Andrew + Edward/Sophie. Full-time senior working royals. A very nice home on a royal estate or in close proximity to one. Attending state banquets and participating in state visits. Representing King Charles and the UK with other royal families. Titles for their children. Signature causes and projects. Well-liked by the public. Huge charities and patronages. Growing list of military honors, and Harry would probably have taken over most of Prince Philip's military portfolio.
Suppose this happened, would the brf like it? One of the squad’s talking points is that the brf got jealous. Suppose harry and meghan became successful in the brf, would the brf really not sabotage itself? Also, let’s face it, harry and meghan did get the young-ish chronically online crowd at first, would the brf like that when those people would compare the rest of them negatively meghan online. Although I guess before everything was exposed in 2019, I remember the attitude on social media, particularly twitter, was that they weren’t specifically hostile towards the other brf members yet. I guess some of the viral tweets i remember from that time were like “ex-british soldier marries successful actress” or when meghan and kate attended wimbledon together, the tweets were like “they should leave their husbands and run away together” (which was weird). I guess what I’m saying it meghan really did get that crowd at first, so would the brf like that?
Also, I remember it’s said that the brf asked meghan to continue working as an actress? How do you think that would have worked? Would she still be a working royal? And what if harry married another woman, let’s say, cressida? Would that woman also be given the option to work because as we found out from harry, charles was concerned they didn’t have enough money for harry’s wife?
No, it'd be fine. The BRF knows they have an image problem in that most of their working royals are older. As long as Harry and Meghan pulled in and kept the youth attention - eg Gen Z/Zillennials (since William and Kate had the Millennials covered) - and knew their place in the larger BRF (eg they cooperated when senior royals requested the media cycle for a speech), they weren't going to care.
Some people (cough Charles cough) might've been prickly at someone else taking their press but the overarching BRF as a whole largely wouldn't have minded. William and Kate certainly wouldn't have minded or cared.
Then for your other questions, I'll go one by one.
Also, I remember it’s said that the brf asked meghan to continue working as an actress?
Yes, allegedly Harry was told that there was no money to pay for Meghan and that she should continue working.
How do you think that would have worked?
Meghan would've kept working as an actress and accompanying Harry only to official family events (Trooping, Easter, Garter Day, Ascot, weddings, services of thanksgiving, etc.). The Duchess of Kent would be a good person to look at - she stepped down as a working royal in the 90s and became a music teacher instead.
I believe the Duchess of Kent's career is what they tried to model the then-Countess of Wessex's career on when she planned to continue working after marrying Prince Edward in a half in/half out status. Where Sophie ran into trouble with her career (she was in public relations) is that she was caught in a sting operation by a reporter pretending to be a sheik (or something like that) speaking very candidly about the royal family. Sophie quit her job, Edward quit his companies, and they joined the firm as full-time working royals in 2002 - it was spun as coming onboard for the Queen's jubilee celebrations and then they just stayed as working royals.
Would she still be a working royal?
Most likely not. If Meghan kept working as an actress, she would not have been allowed to be a working royal as well. The half in/half out experiment with Sophie and Edward wasn't successful so the BRF was not going to let anyone else try it out. They didn't even let Beatrice and Eugenie have half in/half out and that was something Andrew 100% was fighting for.
And what Beatrice and Eugenie had 2012 - 2015ish is probably what Meghan would've ended up having - a "working career" with a ton of vacation time, perma-invites to all the family events, and some personal charities.
And what if harry married another woman, let’s say, cressida? Would that woman also be given the option to work because as we found out from harry, charles was concerned they didn’t have enough money for harry’s wife?
I am fairly certain that if Harry had married anyone else - Cressida, Chelsy, heck even Sara Macklin (the model he was alledgely seeing when he started dating Meghan) - that woman would have been invited to be a working royal.
I'm sure of that because of Charles's "magnificent six" plan, which was his vision for the monarchy when he was King. He wanted a slimmed, streamlined monarchy of just him and Camilla, his sons, and their wives. The plan had been in the works for awhile, but Charles "officially" debuted it in 2012 at the jubilee balcony:
Tumblr media
Meaning there absolutely was every intent for Harry's wife to become a working royal.
So possibly one of two things happened:
Option 1 - Everyone knew Meghan was bad news the second they laid eyes on her so "we don't have the budget for her to become a working royal so she should keep acting" was an attempt to keep her away.
Option 2 - Harry's wife was only meant to become a working royal under King Charles only. So in the meantime under Queen Elizabeth, Harry's wife - aka Meghan - needed to keep acting or doing some other kind of work to occupy her time but whatever work she did had to be in line with royal protocol (ie no merching or monetizing her status) so she could be "promoted" to working royal when the time came.
Or Harry just made it up/misunderstood the discussion. (I suspect this is actually what happened.) Someone asked something like "does Meghan intend to keep acting after you marry?" and Harry heard "Meg can't be a royal, she has to keep acting" instead.

Do you think Kate will attend Wimbledon? Tbh earlier I was thinking of course not. But ever since William took a 100 mile helicopter ride to attend a football match after cancelling all his engagements for months, now I'm beginning to think both w&k are really stupid enough to do anything. AND highly doubt the British media will call them out except for maybe an article here and there, coz atleast until the Wales kids turn 18 which is still about a decade ahead, w&k have the upper hand.
I am not anticipating Kate making any public appearances until at least fall, and even then, I wouldn't be totally surprised if we don't see her all year. I think Wimbledon is out. From what we've seen, she looks incredibly frail, and even if she felt well enough to go, I don't think she'd be down for being heavily photographed until she looks healthy.

"Seeing Fred at Wimbledon makes me wonder why you don’t see any other foreign royals there supporting people playing from their countries"
When was the last time we saw the current patron of the Lawn Tennis Association travel to one of the non-British Grand Slams to support a British tennis player?? She certainly could've watched Emma Raducanu play in the 2021 US Open final, for instance.
Not saying Kate should or shouldn't be doing that--and in any case, I'm not sure the current batch of British players have reached many Grand Slam finals recently--but why hold foreign royals to a different standard than Kate??
what's to say the original person didn't also include catherine in that comment?
also let's not kid ourserves here, if she were to travel to freaking new york or rolland garros for A TENNIS MATCH she'd be dragged like no tomorrow. foreign royals can get away with certain things that the BRF can't and like previously discussed, Fred only works 6 days a month he has the time to attend these things

COWARD LIAR BULLY
-Violet von Westenholz
-The Marquess Marchioness of Cholmondeley
A bully cannot face the people she hurt & abused. In Meghan's case, we watched her mistreat the family she never had, royal staffers and ordinary British people. A friend's parent from her childhood said "she has sharp elbows" and we watched her elbow her way through the United Kingdom just long enough to become infamous. A smash and grab operation that makes her no better than the radicalized teenagers who are being used to terrorize America's cities.
She suffers from a severe case of Princess Catherine Derangement Disorder. Watching the Prince and Princess of Wales receive the honor they are due while she and H are boo'd by thousands would be almost unbearablw and in her best victim voice "such a cruel chapter."
I'm reminded of the MM who after oyw invitations and various product marketing opportunities, was such an ungrateful witch that she even refused to make eye contact in a very small cafe with the woman who made it all possible, Gina Nelthorpe Cowne.
If she were to attend the Coronation, we can just imagine her seething through that rictus grin while watching (from the nosebleed section of the Abbey) as two (2) of the honorable families she betrayed are rewarded for their loyalty and friendship.
1st-Violet von Westenholz, daughter of Camilla's longtime friend and newly appointed "Companion." Despite meeting Harry through Soho House & Markus Anderson, Meghan pursued Violet for an RL "modeling" opportunity at Wimbledon bc she needed to manipulate Violet into serving as her reputable "matchmaker." During the engagement interview Meghan lied again: "SHE (violet) said SHE wanted to set us up"🙄
Tumblr media
2nd- The Marquess & Marchioness of Cholmondeley, parents of Charles' Godson Oliver, page of honour & Lord in Waiting.
Meghan planted the fake affair rumor into the suckit squad to hurt William & Catherine's reputation and to pay back the BRF for the envy she felt watching Harry escort Rose at a formal event. She intentionally tried to destroy 2 families with lies & innuendo. On twatter, via her aliases, mm would threaten William with more malicious attacks on Kate if they still refused to support her in the press. These are just a few of her schemes so just imagine what must be written in the bullying report.
Tumblr media
During the engagement, household servants would overhear things and report them back to "R." I certainly sensed mm was a mean girl, but thought there was no way she could be so vile. 5+ years later, it was all true and the worst was yet to come.
Although Meghan ignored Gina in Edinburgh, Gina still gave a classy interview on the day of the wedding, and I believe she watched as Meghan & Harry drove around Windsor.
Tumblr media
"The Telegraph today reported claims members of the palace PR team "body blocked" ex-advisor Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne from coming into contact with Meghan during a visit to the Social Bites cafe in Edinburgh. Instead, Ms Nelthorpe-Cowne posted a photograph of her former friend on social media from yards away."
Tumblr media
Imagine how Gina must have felt after everything she did for that girl mm refused to even say hello.
"A former aide today told the paper: "Anyone from the past was a problem." They added: "Meghan likes to move on". When contacted by The Telegraph, Ms Nelthorpe-Cowne declined to comment on the incident. However, she has previously spoken of her declining friendship with the duchess after she married Prince Harry.Writing for the Mail on Sunday in 2020, Ms Nelthorpe-Cowne wrote: "When, recently, I found myself in the same room as her, she pretended not to notice – stage-managing it so that Harry spoke to me instead.Meghan has made a habit of 'moving on' to better things. And I doubt that will ever change."She also claimed she had warned Meghan, 39, of what life would be like married to a Royal but said the future duchess replied "Save it" with a "steely manner".Ms Nelthorpe-Cowne's name has also previously appeared in court documents - accusing Meghan's friend Jessica Mulroney of "putting pressure on her to withdraw or change statements" she made in an April 2018 interview with the Mail on Sunday."
February 13th
"The couple meet with staff at Social Bite a business that runs social enterprise cafés throughout Scotland, distributing 100,000 items of food and hot drinks to homeless people each year. The business also employs staff who have experienced homelessness themselves. The couple take a tour of the cafe kitchen."
"The final straw was when MM blanked her in Edinburgh, which was a public humiliation and a bridge too far. The KP staff & Harry body blocked Gina from greeting mm. Meghan then used Mulroney to bully Gina into withdrawing her story in the paper. Adrian Sington bore the brunt of a two-hour haranguing from Jessica Mulroney, which he later described as being very unpleasant."
Lady Elizabeth Lambart, was one of the late Queen's bridesmaids at her 1947 weddingLord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, son of David, the Marquess of Cholmondeley, and his former model wife, Rose, will also be a page of honour.
Oliver’s father was recently appointed to be the King’s Lord-in-Waiting – a significant royal role in which he will be invited to attend important state and royal occasions.
In 1974, the Marquess of Cholmondeley, as Earl of Rocksavage, was page of honour to the late Queen, before becoming Lord Great Chamberlain from 1990 to 2022.
Meanwhile, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley's maternal grandmother, the late Lady Elizabeth Lambart, was one of the late Queen's bridesmaids at her 1947 wedding.
The family - which also includes Lord Oliver's twin brother, Alexander, Earl of Rocksavage, and his younger sister, Lady Iris - live at Houghton Hall in Norfolk, which is just four miles from Anmer Hall, their friends', the Prince and Princess of Wales's, country retreat.
Despite the nasty rumors, The Cambridges attended church with the Cholmondeley family.

Oh, boy, let's go point by point with this one because I sense that you are at least, like, not a complete asshole (maybe?) so I am willing to engage with you, I guess, although I think this ask displays a stunning lack of understanding about the British Royal Family:
Kate had sympathy for Meghan.
I can agree with this to a point, since from what I'm hearing from Spare, the women seemed at least open to at least trying to have a good relationship despite early disagreements with both of them apologizing on separate occasions. However, a lot of this stuff would be things Meghan would have done regardless, like Christmas and Wimbledon, which Meghan had attended before she even met Kate, so I don't think that's symbolic of Kate handing out an olive branch, it's just the standard. Not to mention it didn't work, at 2019 Wimbledon in particular Meghan was bullied for her appearance and was subject to constant negative comparisons to Catherine in the media and online. Also, she did not attend Pippa's wedding, in fact, there were reports that Pippa would not have her there because she didn't want Meghan to overshadow her, so we're already seeing how Meghan's being painted as a rival to Catherine and her family. Meghan did attend the reception, though.
(NOT SO) RAPID FIRE ROUND!
i) issue a statement protecting a girlfriend of a few weeks: Meghan and Harry started dating in July 2016, the statement you're referring to was published in November of that same year. Not only is that not a few weeks, but the statement heavily resembles previous statements engineered by Jason Knauf such as this one asking for people to respect the Cambridges and their children, despite not being issued for a girlfriend these statements were not out of the ordinary. Catherine, did have her lawyers issue warnings to publications while she was still dating William, resulting in paparazzi photographs of her being banned by News International, which owns The Sun. That was an actual unprecedented move by the tabloid press which has since never been afforded to other royal partners. In 2007 several MPs spoke out in support of Catherine, so she is getting that same institutional support and unlike Meghan, the British media was willing to cooperate. Another example is from 1993, when Prince Edward wrote to British publications and asked them to respect the privacy of his girlfriend Sophie Rhys-Jones. So this was the standard for over two decades before Meghan.
(ii) let a girlfriend of a few months move in to Nott Cott: Harry lived at Nottingham Cottage where Meghan would visit him. Meghan was still filming Suits for the majority of 2017 and lived in Toronto. She only moved into the cottage after Harry proposed in November 2017, however, royal couples often live together while dating. Royals have even still lived together, on royal property, after they were divorced (see Fergie living with Andrew at Royal Lodge, despite her constant scandals). Couples have lived together regardless of whether they're married or not, William and Kate also lived together at the start of their relationship, albeit not on royal property.
(iii) let a girlfriend leak family stories to legitimize the relationship: Citation is needed on this one, you need to name these stories and give proof that you know Meghan leaked them before I can entertain you. However, you're telling me a member of the royal family has never done that before? Never? Prince Charles literally had a massive, years-long media strategy that had the main objective of legitimizing his controversial relationship with Camilla. You can read about the man who masterminded this plan, Mark Bolland, too.
(iii) let a girlfriend of a few months attend a family wedding: I like you you keep having to throw "few months" in there so I can't cite the numerous times Catherine attended family events as a girlfriend, including the weddings of Peter Phillips and Lady Rose Windsor. I think that really says everything, honestly. Oh, yeah, here's a picture of Sophie attending the wedding of Lord Ivor Mountbatten in 1994 with Princess Margaret, less than a year after they started a romantic relationship.
(iv) let a girlfriend do an interview with Vanity Fair: Again this is stupid. Unlike other royal girlfriends, Meghan was an actress and public figure beforehand. Doing interviews had always been part of her job and has very little to do with the royals "letting" her do these things.
(iv) allow an engagement after a mere year of long-distance dating without the royals having met the family, (v) have a fiancée attend Sandringham, (vi) have a fiancee attend formal forums and Commonwealth events, (v) give a fiancee a royal baptism before the wedding with the POW present and a royal gift: These are largely bullshit because you have yet to prove that these things were done for Meghan specifically, as in they wouldn't be done for someone else in a similar circumstance. A lot of them are things Meghan would be doing as a member of the royal family anyway and don't really denote any special treatment. She would have been expected to be an Anglican and do Commonwealth events regardless.
(v) have post-wedding events with the entire family to support the new member: What events are you talking about? Charles's 70th birthday celebrations are the only ones I can think of, and they were done in celebration of Charles, where Meghan only had a supportive role. I would hardly call that an event dedicated to supporting her. The Queen might have been able to bond with Meghan in June 2018, but that doesn't mean that Meghan wasn't cast by the media as a disgrace to her and the whole royal family on a consistent basis. These little subtle hints of vague support were not strong or consistent enough when you also had members going out of their way to signal and brief about their dislike of Meghan.
The level of family and institutional support for Meghan was insane. They pulled out all the stops supporting her, which is why she was getting such good press at the beginning [her press was not good in the beginning, though? Why do you think the statement you cited earlier was even made?]. They were literally having family events with her every two weeks [those are called engagements, girly, and they're always family events unless done solo lmao. Big family events like the Trooping and Charles's 70th birthday celebrations would have happened without Meghan regardless] or so, to keep the press sweet. That was unsustainable to begin with, then her dad drama (and Harry and Meghan complaining to IPSO about it) and the conflicts with the staff messed it all up.
I think I've proven that while Meghan was at most treated in ways that were typical of most royal spouses that came before her, the media was unwilling to compromise and the palace was unwilling to give her additional support given the unprecedented support. Comments about her race and background started right away, with stories such as (Almost) Straight Outta Compton coming out in 2016. You ignoring the bigotry and instant hostility Meghan was met with is gross and you're just finding ways to side with the racist press and justify Meghan's abuse. Another example of this: blaming the actions of Thomas Markle, an elderly man who was prayed on and exploited by the press, on the victim of his emotional abuse.
Saying that "staff conflicts" lead to Meghan's unpopularity is revisionist. It was never a leading press narrative until Knauf leaked a misleading story about bullying (which amounted to him filling a bullying claim on behalf of others without consent and then them asking for it to be dropped after finding out) in reaction to Meghan's Oprah interview in 2021, years after Meghan already left.
I think I change my mind about you not being a bad-faith asshole because your selective and biased recounting of things is gross.

When do you think we will next see Kate (and William) at Wimbledon?
She's 100 percent going to the men's and ladies' singles finals. So that's confirmed. William usually goes to the men's final with her, so he's going. They took george last year so chances are he might go too and I hope they take lottie too. Or just Cat maybe for a mummy-daughter date.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the highest number of days she goes to Wimbledon is three, so one of those has already happened.
But since she went on day 2 and with 90 percent of the competition left, I do think we might see her before the finals too. Maybe for the semis or the quarter finals.
Also one other thing is that I want Cat to attend the Wheelchair tennis matches too, I love her but imo she needs to work more with that side of Wimbledon.
